It doesnt seem you took into account Whirlwind Attack, which is an easy 20k+ damage in half a second before swapping to axe (assuming boss is on a wall ofc).

There was a glitch which allowed players to tele through a window from p2/3 into the p1 console event, doing 2 paths at once. Now the event doesnt start anymore.

40 ar is fine for a guardian, he can also keep another guardian with 35 ar alive with him.

At fotm40+, maw’s agony damage is already so high that unless you are a guardian with 45ar and tome of courage elite, you won’t survive no matter what.

This is not correct. A guardian with 40 ar can survive by himself using his tome at the right time. He can even keep up another guardian with 35 if they both use tome (personal experience).

Also, I want to see how you melee champ grawl shaman without spamming aegis.

You can hide behind a wall of reflection/feedback/whatever and melee from max distance so he wont knock you back.

U mean in pre patch AC all u had to do was press 1. Yeah not buying it.

Considering that pre patch I duoed both paths 1 and 3 in 17-18 mins, yes, maybe you should.

Great job guys, many people here needed this to stop whining, but it seems it wasnt enough for all of them.

Are you serious?! This boss fitgh is a joke right now. I just did it with normal guild party. took as less then two minutes and i didn’t even dodge once. Now he’s even worse then trash mob that was nerfed to the point that stabilty and interrupt skills are uselless right now. Are you going to do same thing to lupicus? Only bosses i enjoyed fighting.

So you were expecting to fail it (or to have an hard time) with a “normal guild party”? We never said its hard, we said the mechanic is more interesting (he actually required 1 dodge every 30 seconds or so before the patch, so its pretty hard to say they nerfed it lol). Also how can you say things are easier? The little spiders before the queen can no longer be killed with a 100b in a corner, you can no longer stand in the queen’s circles while facerolling her, The champion howler in the traps hallway is now a stalker (or scavenger, cant remember), scavengers attacks are much more interesting, adds spawn many times at kholer and if you want to kill the champion before the final boss (which is not a dumb howler anymore) in 1 pull with all the trash you’ll need a much more organized group than before.

The main problem is that people is exploiting this bug to profit from it.

They get with some professions more suited to the rest of the dungeon, then they switch to full damage ones to exploit the 4-1 sparks bug to get it done with a really specialized party focused solely and exclusively on damage, and then ask for over 10g to sell it to people.

This requires a fix ASAP.

The main problem is that it seems you dont know what you’re talking about.

1) The 4-1 bug has been fixed as I’m reading here (anyway, we never used it).
2) We sell the last boss to people but we dont need to switch at all during the run or use bugs (personally we have 2 people running sparks in a perfectly legit way).
If we can do something fast and get a nice reward for it, why should you care?.

Its his direct attack, it has nothing to do with circles and it has always been there. Watch your surroundings and dodge it, or stand in melee range so he cant hit you with it.

How is Subject Alpha on Path 2 generally done?

Everyone stacks melee and one person go ranged? The ice spike and dragons tooth should be targeting range right?

What happens if you are stacking melee and the group is getting hit by the ice spike?

Dragons tooth target only ranged players, ice spikes target at any distance.
Stacking melee still requires the party to dodge ice. What you can do is finding out who is the ice spikes target (I noticed Alpha tends to use them often on the same player) and make him go ranged, while the rest of the party simply melees him down without having to move at all.

Yes it does. You can however, still run into the “too many dungeon paths in a set time frame” DR, even if it overlaps the reset.

Remember, you have 4 runs of different paths in a ~2 hour time frame for max token reward. Your 5th will be lowered to 45 tokens if you don’t wait for that time period to pass.

OP did cof p1 5 times, then path 2 for the 1st time, so thats exactly what we are talking about. The fact that the dungeon is still Cof doesnt matter since it was his 1st time on 2nd path. The DR he hit was the one I was talking about.

You’ve always been dropping 14s from mid dungeon bosses (with food), the final boss drops 15s without omnom, 21s with it.

I assume you only played AC in storymode, and a few day after launch a time of 2 or 3 hours was not so bad, for low level and not experienced people.
Dungeon time heavily depends on the randoms and on which dungeon you’re running.
Some explorable dungeons like AC (all paths), CoF (paths 1 and 2), TA (all paths) , and CoE (paths 1 and 2) are heavily pugged, so you can often get away with decent runs.
An average time for all AC paths can be 25-30 mins, CoF path 1 around 10 mins, CoF path 2 20 mins, CoE path 1 20-30 mins, Coe path 2 a bit longer than 1, all TA paths can be completed in 30 mins or less.
I’ve always been talking about random group times, ofc if you could find a guild to play dungeons it would be much better.
Also Arah path 3 is quite often pugged, so you could complete it in 40min-1 hour (I suggest you to not bother with paths 1-2-4 unless you are in a group of people you know.
Dungeons like CM, SE and Hotw are not difficult at all for experienced people, but I see them pugged less frequently and I cant say much about times as I never pug them.

A new way to get legendary precursors?

As the title says, I have thought of a new possible way to obtain precursors without having to rely heavily on luck with the mystic forge or without having to deal with the crazy TP prices.

I know a new way to get them is currently beeing developed by Anet, but I wanted to put this on the table anyway.

-Add a new npc in Lion’s Arch.
-This npc will give to a player the precursor he wants for a certain amount of a new kind of tokens (let’s call them legendary tokens).

The problem now is to figure out how these tokens can be awarded to players whithout making obtaining precursors too hard or too easy.
Here are some ideas I had of how a player should be awarded tokens, taking into account everything (or at least what came to my mind) a Gw2 player may or may not like to do in this game.

1)2 tokens every time a player completes 5 different dungeon paths. This is to avoid things like crazy Cof path 1 farm.
2)players will be awarded 1 token every 10 (15/20?) WvW kills, or every time they help conquering Stonemist Castle in EB, or for a certain amount of towers conquered etc.
3)players will be awarded 1 token every 3-4 sPvP matches they win, or maybe for a certain amounts of kills, points captured etc.
4)Tokens will be tradeable from the golem vendor in Fractals of the Mists for a certain amount of fractals tokens.

I’m not sure these options cover all the possible ways of playing the game players have, but you get the idea.
Also all the numbers I gave are purely hypothetical, and would surely need some balance based on the effort that needs to be put in every single task.

Any thoughts?

I dont know how someone can say necros are subpar in dungeons^^. Not only they are incredibly fun to play, but also the aoe they can spread with conditions is just awesome.
Who disagrees with this has indeed never played one.

I was in Arah dungeon explorable alone to do some testing, when at a certain point I received a request from someone I had never seen before to join his party.
I refused (REFUSED) because I couldnt be bothered watching that flashing name on my screen, and I got instakicked from the dungeon.
Now the question is: wtf?

Edit: I tried to make this happen again with a guildmate, and not only this happened when I refused his request, but ALSO when he canceled his own request.
This means that if I’m alone in a dungeon anyone could kick me out just sending me a request and canceling it.

After the last patch we couldnt kill here with the invisible glitch anymore, so we tried the correct mechanic. It took us 4-5 tries because a spark was often roaming without filling his spot, but we did it in less then 20 mins, I really dont know how this can take 5 hours.

Edit: the only big problem I can see here is a big lack of dps in the team and bad coordination, if you keep trying you’ll make it, the spark doesnt always bug.

There is no DR reduction on running different paths one after the other in fact.
When we finish CoF path 1 in less than 10 min and proceed immediatly with path 2 we get 60 tokens in both, same with AC.

Because Bjarl is bugged and no one at anet seems to give a kitten and the other two paths take several galactic years to complete.

Bjarl beeing bugged is actually annoying, even thought a mesmer can bypass his door and portal everyone to alpha.
But you cant say the other paths are long^^ path 2 can be completed in 20 min or less, maybe 30 for path 3.

5 wars is the perfect group for ac 3

2 Eles and 2 random people is the perfect group. Ever tried an ice bow on a burrow? 2 attacks and it’s down.

Ever tried 100b now that it works on burrows? 2.5/3k damage on them every 6.5 seconds.
I was the war there so I’m not talking about rumors.
