Firstly does it activate the might,fury and restoration on runes of Dwyana and Alturism etc?

And secondly how much is the base heal on it?

New patch download issues

Im currently trying to download the latest patch, So far ive downloaded 900MB and am at 1% competion (as of this post)

I have a feeling that in addition to the patch my updater is trying to download the full game again even though my DAT file is still intact.

Anyone got any ideas on why it is trying this?

Came across a bug in arah story today, When we boreded the first airship it did not move, the “stuck” rope was still attatched and logan was on the ship with us and all the NPC’s were acting as if we still needed to get the power cores.

Anyone come across this before?

Main points, drop dueling traits nothing use full in there you want the 20 in inspiration for the reduced cooldown and longer lasting.

I run scecpter/torch and staff however i sometimes run scepter/focus if were are going up against zergs as its a good way to break them up along with the glamours.

And you want full rabid with undead runes. With that you can get over +1700 condtition dmg with food

Glamour is awesome, only thing i don’t like about it compared to my shatter build is that its very weak underwater and i find it not as good for roaming and taking camps, however VS a zerg it will destry anything

Looking to see what sorta cheapish upgrades i could make to my current system for a short term boost so i can get some better FPS in WvW (will be buying a new PC in about 6months but want something for now)

So far im running
Intel Core 2 q6600 quad 2.4ghz
4gb DDR2 ram (MB only supports DDR2)
ASUS P5k Motherboard
Radeon 6850 GPU

Any suggestions are greatly appricated

Failed Purchase

So just before the BLTC went down i was trying to buy a bunch of stuff and every time i tryed it said “no purchase matched that price” (i was buying right out not offering) so i thought okay it messed up tried a few other items and it still failed so gave up.

Jump forward to 5 minutes ago and i get on and all the items are there along with the gold being gone. It was only 20 silver so not to bad but it could have been much worse.

i understand if something doesn’t respond to not click again (had this happen a lot) but after getting fail messages i don’t expect this to happen.

Has anyone else experienced this and if so has anet said anything about such an issue being there if its a bug?

WvW night capping/whining/unbalance can be solved with a fairly easy fix.

You sound like someone who’s from a big 24/7 server, which is why arguing with you will be pointless. I’m still going to say that winning through numbers doesn’t make you better, it just makes you more numerous. Things would be a lot more interesting if fights were kept fair and even-sized.

Actually i play on Tarnished Coast and we get destroyed at night times yet i jump on during the day with my guid and have a blast

Numbers will always make a difference though as you can attack more of the map at once or swamp an area if you want so in WvWvW Nubmers do make you better, Alot of those servers recurting are semi coherent anyway (excluding Ruin “shudder”). It was always going to take time for things to balance as they need players testing and having data to balance upon. And i still do find WvW awesome i play on Tarnished coast and play in NA prime times (im from New Zealand but im a graveyard shift worker) and its still very fun to go around and messing with zergs with good tactics you can wipe them out. For example yesterday we saw a zerg attacking a tower. We send to peopel up as bait who then jump off a cliff and guess what the zerg follows, 8 of us and the bottom start one shotting half the zerg with AoE i honestly wish i got a video of it they were retardly hilarious. Just gotta make the most of what you got atm.

There’s a difference between people legitimately playing during non prime time, and servers recruiting large amounts of people, or guilds, to make sure they dominate 24/7.

What I think is mucking the system up is people who pick servers just to dominate during the low activity hours of the day. i.e. European guilds rolling on North American servers knowing they’ll own the night, or Canadian guilds on European servers, for example.[/quote]

As has been said in every other thread like this. Once more matching data has been gathered servers with 24/7 presence will be matched together in the higher end of the scale. And you will most likly see that servers with your “night time” being their prime time will be matched together (as long as there isn’t a massive gap in the skill level) by the Devs the same as that happened in DAoC (seems the WvW team is practically DAoC’s RvR team)

Oh and before you complain about me not understanding im from tarnished coast

What your propsing isnt exactly what iwould call fair, Yes it may be fair in the terms of bring numbers more equal but it is unfare on people who have to paly in that timzone. They will ahve to deal with longer ques because 1) They have prime time numbers online and a player cap that could be well voer 50% smaller than usual. What people need to realise is that its a 24/7 war so there will always be this problem however once we get more results in from the 1week matchs and free transfers are gotten rid of those servers that can play 24/7 will be matched up with each other mostly. The system just needs time to gather data.

Tanky Phantsam Armour set

Im trying to think on the armour and weapion set im gonig to use in my tanky phantsam build. The buil focus on raw power and the a mix of toughness viat to give me as much survibility as possible (this is a WvW build mainly)

This is what ive come up with (all 80 exotics from crafting/orr)

Helm – Knights
Shoulder – Knights
Chest – Armageddon
Pants – Knights
Gloves – Armageddon
Shoes – Armageddon

Amulet – Emerald
Ring x2 – Emerald
Earring x2 – Beryl

Weapons
Sword MH – Knights
Focus – O/H – Valkyrie
Staff – Knights

With Sword/Focus my stat break down is

Power + 699
Precision + 328
Toughness + 580
Vitality + 264

With Staff

Power + 673
Precision +392
Toughness + 580
Vitality + 264

What i wondering is do people who also play tanky feel i should try and throw more stats into Viat and out say precision or a lil bit of toughness and if so which pieces would be best to do that with?

Any help would be awesome

Hey guys just asking where have people found to be the best place to farm T6 scales and blood.

Been hitting drakes in Malchores Leap for scales but is there anywhere better.

also i have no clue on what mobs drop the T6 bloods.

Help is greatly appricated

Way i see it Moa is a noob stomper but anyone who knows what they are doing won’t let you cast it, in that area TIME WARP FTW (cant beat double DPS for 10 seconds practically especially on blurred frenzy)

It can be, i Drop a warden speced with Haste he does 4 seconds of reflection, I then drop Feedback out front of the zerg force them to move buying me 1-2 seconds then drop focus wall in front for last bit, By the time that is down i can be dropping another warden throwing down feed Back and then wall again. It only takes a few seconds to force a zerg to move closer to your group with it and then you take advantage of that. Plus Relvantex above has a good point

Phantasms are the problem not the Shatter.

Shatter+Phat in PvP pwn btw, drop phantasms get then to do ONE cycle (one is key there) then drop a shatter for what ever you need (more damage, daze, evasion depnding on situation). The big problem i see coming from a msemer PvP/WvW stand point is people think phantsams should last more than one cycle but it jsut aint happening.

You kinda anwsered your self the “control” you are talking about from GW1 came from having the condtions in a not so watered down way. I still feel mesmers can be a very control based class (I run a WvW based build that forces range to either sit back and do nothing or come to my team and die through constant up times on reflections).

If you plan to go condition get carrions as you need that viat for survibilaty in PvE otherwise your gonna die fast (glass cannons arnt the best) however if you wanna go a Power build (shatter or Phat) get knights for same principals. I feel it limits you alot putting all 3 armour stats into attack as you lose than much needed survibilaty.

For starters it can be dodged and interupted. A mesmer has to stand still to cast it for a long period of time. Also if you get moaed RUN ive used it so many times and seen people try and keep going its asking to die. It may be strong if your stupid when it hits you but you just need to learn to counter it just like every other classes strong skills (guardians heals and thiefs stealth for example)

Agree a bit Thedenofsin the reason i run haste though is through proper timing of feed back, plus temporal curtain and wardens attacks you can perma lock down a ranged person and force them into melee and watch them die in one warden spin haha

I still dont see how people struggle with this. You need to use tactics. If your melee don’t charge in the front go around and flank and use reflection skills and LOS to your advantage running stright into them from in the open is a death wish

He reflects when axes are spinning and any that come within his bubble so if you are standing next to him (quite close) projectiles wont hit you

Okay so i made some slight modfications this is what irun and its awesome for PvE and WvW.

This focuses alot more on phantasams which with this build do masses of damage and with the build in WvW you can drop so much reflection that you force people to get into melee range if they want to kill you and then they get owned by wardens. Gear wise you wanna stack power then precision then go about 50/50 in toughness/vit for the rest of your stats as you need both to survive condition damage and raw DPS.

If you want to ask any questions feel free to ask with this build i can easily do 1v2 and sometimes 1v3 depending on make up in WvW and destroy mobs in PVE.

Edit – Rune wise i run 6/6 superiour rune of Dewya as they boost your regenetation by alot and you proc it alot with this build via traits staff and heals with the runes

(In PvE swap blink for singent of illusions more health for them is better than the escape as phantsams take a few hits to be killed then)
