Guild Wars 2

First of all, HoD had no say in our matchups. WE WOULD LOVE a HoD/DH/SF, HoD/FC/SF, HoD/SF/ET or what have you, but we cannot control this and are disappointed that we are only going to have two weeks with a real fight on our hands. That being said, our numbers are greater than other server. WE KNOW THIS, but our WvW core population is only marginally larger, but very well practiced and coordinated with each other so our CORE groups can cover more ground by spreading out.
As we all know in WvW, when one server gets any sort of advantage, the fairweathers come out to play and tag along with the tags that are up (which are our core groups that spread out to each map) allowing them the option of being a little sheep in ANY map which in a ripple effect adds MORE fairweathers.
What we are trying to explain is that our coordination between guilds effects the number of fairweathers we are getting combined with a greater amount of core to start if on only marginally.
The real question is (and will be decided in the final week) is how many of these fairweathers will stick around after they get their achievs.

Again, we wish everyone the best, but do not attribute HoD’s success to its current bloated population. There are a LOT of guilds that worked very hard to improve before the leagues started, training their members, coordinating builds for better group comps, and getting to know the commanders/members of our sister guilds to ensure a coordinated and successful 7 week tournament. Thus, with our practice, coordination, and hard work, we get the fairweathers and for the first time in a very long time, ques in ANY of the maps.

Great rundown! Bronze league is going to be fun all around regardless of ranks. Looking forward to fighting on a more even playing field despite my mild disappointment of not ending up in Silver league.

My sympathies to Kain for all the guilds that left; that’s rough. HoD has felt that pain at one time as well.

There’s a book and movie about fight club. Watch/read it.
It’s an event we hold so that all the 1v1ers can come together and watch and have some clean even fights.

Go on and keep bashing HoD but I haven’t seen anyone accept our GvG invitation. All bark and no bite.

Fight club HoD BL Thursday 9pm EST!

I think I liked it better when we were out manned than this chasing ghosts match. Wish they would give stat bonuses to the losing teams so it would be more interesting.

Nothing personal but it was our BL and the entire 20 minutes of “camping” had us saying in TS “As soon as they stop, we’re leaving.” but you just kept coming…

I love GW2. I love WvW. Going out with my guildies and having coordinated group fights is some of the most fun I’ve ever had in an MMO, but I spend most of my time out of WvW. I consider myself a die hard for the WuvWuvs, yet most of my time I’m online puttering around in living world content farming gold/mats for new legendaries or ascended weapons just waiting for that brief hour or two when we have our group on. So you go on and look at your statistics of who plays what how long, just know you’re leaving a giant community out to dry.

No one wins in this match up. Just a few sprinkled fights.

Some amazing fights tonight! SM was insane. I felt that lag for an hour after the fact.

I have done several “Suspicious locations” around lions arch that I have read online. A diving board, the 4 in the sewer, and statues underwater. The first one on the diving board went fine. I received my 5 Personalized ToT bags, and received my loot. The rest turned out differently. I would click each suspicious spot after using the correct expulsion, but no Personalized ToT bags. Also, I noticed my stack of candy corn decrease by one, each time I would click a suspicious spot, regardless of whether or not I received my ToT bags.
