Is there a particular reason that you think the old chests didn’t get updated? I asked our PvP designer about this, and he clarified that there is no difference between “old” and “new” chests — they pull from the same loot table, so they should stack.

Also, as indicated in the patch notes, only gold and match win reward chests were given updated loot. I hope this helps clarify things!

After the update I traded all my tickets for Gold chests. All of them (~15) awarded Paid tokens on salvage and it was stuff like Kodan, Orrian, Drake etc. Then I went to open my Gold chests I was keeping in bank for a while (~20) and here I got ‘old’ items as stated before – it all awarded Free tokens on salvage.
Today I had 2 ‘old’ Gold chests on my character, won a 3-round tournament and so opened a total of 3 Gold chests. All of them awarded old items.

When I accepted my tournament reward it was already too late to act. I forgot about having old chest on that character.
Sure I could open them all now or trash them to avoid further problems. I put them in bank already but I don’t think the game should force me to do nasty things with my chests!

After the recent update Copper, Silver and Gold Tournament Chests give updated loot – what used to be in Paid chests + some new items. Bugs emerged.

1) Existing pre-update chests did not get updated. They still have old loot tables – priory, whisperer, vigil, armageddon stuff and so on.

2) If you have old chests in your inventory and you acquire a new chest, its new content will be lost. It will be merged with the old stack and will give old loot.

I don’t think they care about us unless there is hundreds of people complaining as with the exotic mist weapons they where changed back instantly.

Keep in mind that feedback sample from legendary owners is a lot smaller than those who have acquired exotics. That means the power of our voices comes not in numbers!

Questions and concerns regarding Eternity not counting for ‘Legendary Collector’ achievement:

1) If I craft it now, will I get retroactive progress for Twilight and Sunrise when it gets fixed?
2) If I were to be awarded for the above mentioned, how will you tell if I actually had Twilight and Sunrise before or if I had bought Eternity straight from TP? Will Eternity award a progress of 2 (or 3, tied with the next question)?
3) After fix when Twilight and Sunrise will count toward this achievement, will Eternity also add progress? That’s a count of 3 in the achievement but you actually had 2 and combined them info another 1.

That’s it. Can I craft Eternity now without being punished later? I know it’s just an achievement but 1 point in this track is ‘kind of a big deal’.

Whaaaaaat. I loved my Predator for these Star Wars like pew pew sounds and they got changed to this… woosh woosh!? Do not want! Bring old sounds back!

Also I was about to file a bug report but I found this thread. If anyone not owning Predator wants to hear it I’ve recorded the new sound here.

No, you won’t be able to.

Yes, you will be able to.

Bring back the gamer title track for various [event] PvP activities!

There is a way to do that!
Get on some character of yours, go to the Heart of the Mists, start a tournament. During the tournament log out to the character selection and choose your level 1 character. You will be automatically put into the tournament round you just left. Wait for the game to finish and you will be in the Mists on your newbie character. Just enter the LA portal and voila! You have skipped the tutorial and are unable to go back to it thus missing on the whole personal story which will remain locked at level 1 quest. And the last point is why I’m reporting it here as a game bug!

I’ve been wondering myself the same thing. They are in the PvP locker. Same 3 skins as the rentable PvE versions.

Thanks for answers! Seems like they are pretty uncommon. I’ve scouted lots of areas and have yet to encounter them. Looks like fun. Time to explore more of Tyria!

Did they make it live yet? I never heard about anyone encountering them yet so either they are super rare or got lost somewhere in their caves!
Also there was something about new events featuring some guild or stuff. Can’t see anything new
