DONG to bardziej restrykcyjna gildia zrzeszajaca ponadprzecietnych graczy, którzy sa doswiadczeni w raidach. Idealnego kandytata chyba nie musze przedstawiac, bo osoby, które sporo poraidowaly wiedza czego sie od nich oczekuje.
Reprezentowanie gildii to glupota – nie wymagamy. Wymogi sa podstawowe, takie, które da sie zweryfikowac – tonic i eternal, nastepnie test rotacji/dpsu na golemie. Czyli krótki etap rekrutacyjno-integracyjny jest wliczony w cene! Ogarniecie przynajmniej dwóch profesji niech bedzie umownym wymogiem.
Kto nie posiada eternala bo “ktos tam znowu nie z mojej winy umarl” niech podesle filmik ze swojej gry na raidach, ewentualnie fractalach. Nawet majac tytul taki filmik to mila rzecz!
Ostatnia wazna i bardzo gleboka sprawa… – poza byciem dobrym graczem badz tez dobrym czlowiekiem.

I can see why you can assume you have access to the new WvW map, but why would you assume you have access to the new PvP type, or Specializations, or potentially even guild halls without HoT?
If every expansion added an exclusive PvP mode it would be a huge pain to build a team. That’s just another check and it’s splitting an already (according to players) declining/low playerbase. Guild Halls sound like a core guild content especially when looking how they were handled in GW1 – new guild halls added in new campaigns but you could purchase them even without owning any addons. Can’t really tell when it comes to specializations, just an assumption as before and considering the point of this thread I do think that HoT looks like Feature Pack 3 + Living Story Season 3, something we’ve already had for free over the course of 2 years.

This bonus should be better advertised and communicated. As we have in-game mails telling players what’s new, I guess the basic choice would be sending everyone who enters HotM during this event a mail informing them about weekend bonus.
Not everyone was present on the livestream and not everyone browses these forums.
Some may be surprised by the sudden +500 rank points and some may be afraid it’s a bug (ban exploiters bawwaww!). Also this thread isn’t even a sticky.

i am sure because one dev said some months ago that no legendary armor find its way into the game.
In 2013.
They promised new legendary item types and the one that was supposed to come in 2013 was trinket. It was said to have stat changing ability and unique visual effects. It was pushed to 2014 though.
Change your text language. Guess it worked for me in Spanish.
Idea – make Fractal Profiles instead.
Could use data like highest level reached, most cleared level, slowest/average/fastest completion (per level or fractal), completion per profession, highest AR, most and least played fractal, fractals achievements etc.. In the future it could be expanded with PvE and PvP aspects and would make a whole Account Profile.

Edit: To summarize – unique items from these coffers consist of r60 (Hawk), r70 (Frozen) and r80 (Bramble) weapons. Haven’t seen any other sets from these ranks dropping but ‘named’ weapons like Wing Shield (r70) can drop so we can assume it’s a possibility.
If you don’t want to do [too much] RNG you can buy T2 culturals for 3,5g and salvage them into Phoenix Tokens then craft a weapon of your choice. Same goes for Nightmare dungeon armor for 20g and Dragon Tokens.

Does PvP-PvE skins ‘unification’ apply to all existing PvP items – earned in PvP and converted into PvP from PvE versions? Or is it only for newly coming rewards? How does it apply to upcoming PvP Legendary items?
Guys, take it easy. Because you insisted, ANet made QA the best of the best. Being the best I believe they just haven’t died once during testing and that’s why they missed the lack of waypoint.

Start over, that’s right!
Remove rank points from hotjoins. Remove Glory altogether, introduce a new PvP currency – say, Fame (kitten yeah!). Reset everyones ranks, let people keep their emotes/finishers and rank titles and make them not obtainable again. Refund a certain % of lost Glory in form of Fame up to a certain number cap.

Hey! Popping in with actual numbers. 33 out of 45 exotics were unique ones (1 precursor included) that’s 73% rate actually. Shame it looks like it was just mad luck, puts this thread into a pile of yet another RNG drama.
Also I used rares because it’s way faster to fill buy orders. People are into salvaging exotics now so it’s gotten kinda slow to buy something with orange name!
Inspired by a recent thread about getting precursors by using Mystic Forge Stones, I decided to go for it as well. I’ve had around 220 of these stones from achievement boxes so now was their time!
I decided to go with lvl 80 rares, random types and I didn’t have to wait long to notice that something is going on. I’ve been using MF for a year now, throwing thousands of exotics and rares down inside it with many good results. I don’t come with raw data numbers but just noting my ‘experience’ here.
So the deal is – I’ve been getting A LOT of named (unique, uncraftable) exotics back from Zommoros. I dare to say it was over 70% (as noted below) of all exotics I got by using MFS.
I know there are many theories about MF and manipulating its results but here, although using a relatively small sample, it was really noticable.
Anybody had similiar experiences? Also I got a precursor this way as well – Rage >.<

The recent update added a new theme to Eternity – dark purple (smoke). This combined with what we have already, red-black Twilight and white-blue Sunrise, hardly fits. It’s not that bad with Twilight mode on but when the day comes the differences between styles (sword looks vs footsteps + aura) are just too much.
I think OP’s picture shows a great balance between all of them and sets a solid Eternity theme, a unique weapon.

- at 100 points mark – Remove a stack of Structural Vulnerability on gates and walls for every 2 supply spent repairing.
- at 130 points mark – Apply a stack of Structural Integrity on gates and walls for every 2 supply spent repairing.
- at 164 points mark – Unlocks bundle at vendor that allows repairing of siege.

Good post but like it’s been just said – balancing PvP would require major reworks that include heavy PvE/PvP skills split and I don’t see it coming. Perhaps with new skills that are gonna be introduced later in 2013 we will see some PvP-only skills that cater to current issues.
In my ideal PvP players have ~600 hp tops, 100 damage is a lot, there is an energy pool and no traits. ;(
Remove achievement points from dailies and remove these points from total count!
Let me get straight to the point. It looks like last real content update happened in November. What we got now is just a month long combo of Living Story and holiday event.

Roughly quoting someone on the intrawebz: ANet focuses on their weakest point and does nothing to strengthen it. Storytelling.
Story plot is certainly weak in the main game and it doesn’t really get better the further we go. What we keep on getting now is a bunch of whooping mysterious NPCs that usually will show up after weeks or months. A couple of speech bubbles here and there, perhaps a half a minute long cutscene or two aaaaaaand I think we are done for this month! Flame and Frost was just… Four months for… For content worth 1-2 hours of story.
Speaking of length
It’s even hard to recall what was going on before. 40 minutes total for 2 F&F missions, 20 mins for Molten Facility, 5 minutes for Canach’s Lair and another 5 for explorable mode and…? Ah. And all of that mixed with some achievements. Achievements? More like milestones or a checklist. Meet (as in press F and move along) some NPCs, just play some activity, defeat a couple of enemies. Takes a couple of hours. Hardly a month (or 2 weeks now?) worth of content.
And once you gave us Fractals that people still enjoy – although you said it’s gonna be constantly upgraded feature.

Recycle here, recycle there. Ideas or features. Let’s keep it short. I’m gonna use the ‘Press F’ term again. I’m sorry. Carving pumpkins, building snowmen, fixing signs, destroying pinatas, firing fireworks. Just do it a hundred of times. Pretty exciting, eh? What? No!? Then go and kill me some monsters that came out of these haunted doors. Or this big gift there. Or that shady portal. Or that hologram projector. You must be tired now. Just puke your guts out by eating some candies and we are almost done.

Moa racing? Why is it even here? It’s tied to the previous point about recycling. I have no clue why but we’ve already had the betting system since the release. Cattlepult. Pretty much the same stuff. Bet some money, get more or none back. Just with a flat reward and no minipet to get. The only problem is that it was hardly accessible due to bugs.
And what’s bugging me is…
…if the whole QA team got fired by now. ‘We do test stuff extensively but the transition from dev to live builds is what causes problems’. Yeah, yeah. We have seen it countless times already. With every content update you can expect more bugs than features. No reason to get into details here but the best example is right here. Three (3!) exploits in one hour – rigging moa, forging knights, standing with healthy balls.
Random stuff
Activities are fun. They really are. For an hour (agaaaaaain). Then you get your achievements and move on. There is no (long-term) reward. Something like GW1’s skillz title that takes years to max out and you progress towards it through all activities would be one of the solutions. You get your 20 DB wins and that’s it. I don’t think you will keep on going for that 1 Dragon Coffer as the winner reward. It’s gonna be all for your self enjoyment and that will burn out fast.
tl;dr – Recycling, reskinning, no real content AGAIN.
Aside of skins (and dyes?), titles are the only reward left for PvPing. Too bad lots of them are kinda broken. What’s the deal?
Let’s start with an issue that appeals to be a bug.
- Rank points gained from winning a tournament match (200 points at the moment) do not count towards main PvP progression achievement – like Gladiator, Mercenary, Avenger etc.
It’s also weird that you earn these titles at different moments than you earn your new ‘animal’ rank, be it 10, 20, 30 etc. With majority of my matches being tournaments I have 400k towards Marauder (requires 723,500) and I’m almost rank 50. Why am I punished for playing tournaments? If I decide to play 100% hotjoins I’ll get my title after a bit more than “just” 4 more ranks. If I keep on playing tournaments by the time I get I’ll be rank 60.
Speaking of tournaments:
- Champion Brawler.
Sounds bad, doesn’t it? It requires 10,000 tournament wins and is pitiful compared to Champion Slayer you get for 200 kills in tournaments (like 20 matches). Perhaps go for Ultimate Brawler (WvW style)?
- Avenger and Avenger of the Dispossessed.
Has been mentioned somewhere on forums already but it sure is lame to introduce a title that you can earn in 1 hour and sounds better.
- Ascendant and Legend of the Mists.
Really, how long has it been? Both above mentioned titles are HoM titles you get for having played GW1. Ascendant is also the highest PvP title you get for getting millions of rank points even after rank 80. I know it’s still years before someone gets it but in its current form it doesn’t encourage going for it in any way.
Legend of the Mists also sounds like it should have been some prestigious PvP title. There is Legend of the Arena for rank 1 QP. One devaluates another.
Liking some titles depends on your taste (yummy or mommy) but PvP titles in their current form are unappealing and confusing (Ransacker, Ravager, Reaper – which is which?!). Some look obvious to need a fix but this matter has been left untouched for over 9 months now. I don’t even think we got a single dev response regarding it. It just calls for an overhaul.
The question isn’t if you like/care about titles or not but why hasn’t anything been addressed? If you made it to this point, I have a smiley for you, dear reader!

The PvP versions of the fused gauntlets actually drop from the match win chests awarded from tournament wins. You can get both PvP and PvE gauntlets.
Are PvP Fused Gauntlets limited to May 12th?
After removing all maps on my Custom Arena it put the Brisban Wildlands map as default and 1st map. Trying to enter this map results in an error and makes this arena unplayable with no way to change it.
What about people who managed to purchase Custom Arena Starter Kits due to a bug before? I know ANet said they will be usable when CAs get released but does it apply to beta too?

It was supposed to be one of [invisible] key features of march content update. The pace at which official leaderboards are being updated with new features is terrifying! ‘Wait till it’s stable, when it’s ready, etc.’, my kitten
Seems like we will be getting Leaderboards 2.0 (now with a search function!) along with a whooping Living Story for April!!! 50% of PvP focused content!

Fact is, the content discriminates smaller guilds and it caused me and my guild literally leave the game in a period of 2 days after patch.
Oh no! The game got new content, let’s leave this game before developers get that crazy idea to give us even more of it! That would be tragic.
It’s GUILD Wars 2. Not Happy Circle Of Friends Wars 2. Hopefully the ‘wars’ part arrives someday too.
Also you had half a year to get a little over 100g. That’s the amount you would have to pay to buy influence to get missions rolling from scratch in a 1-man guild that isn’t even playing the game.
