You’re probably talking about map packs? MW3 adds them like, idk, weekly? As a way to mask their horrible game they keep adding terrible maps, I wasn’t talking total. That’s not really fair, is it? In general patches are upwards of 80mb and lower of 15-30

I was comparing sizes not games. Also think logical no way is 5k files 80MB As I downloaded 1mb of it and it done 3 files.

SW:TOR has had patches of up to 4GB same with WoW. Not adding EP, just fixes.

But as I have a very limited internet quota, how big is the current patch it just says files left which is around 5k so I assume the patch is rather big – 5GB+ A number would be helpful

Also do you get exp for area completion? Never paid attention.

Switch to i7 instead of i5 – That’s my only advice.

Gyazo kills quality, so yeah the orginal image makes it clear, I pretty much only want the coat, as it’s amazing.

Go back and do all the hearts, best advice ever I went from 50 – 80 in 2 days at minimal playing.

Anyway It’s in Brisban Wilds, Lionshead Outcrops and you speak to Seraph Spy Ivy to transform into a bandit to infiltrate the camp and disrupt it.

In Caledon Forest I was doing the 3 events that transform you into a Moa, Drake and Jellyfish I did the Moa and Drake fine, however the Jellyfish is a tad buggy for an odd reason.

I called some others to help me and the same thing happened to them, it just morphs you back into your character mid-fight I’m not sure what the issue is, but it’s very frustrating Is it something I’m doing, I can confirm it happens every time I use 4 and dodge, but it is random also.

Is their any insight on this? As I would love to finish this.

If you’re using Thief just stealth through.
you can also try to use something to draw the aggro, pets, summons etc.

Warrior, if played right Ranger*, Necro has a huge amount of HP.

Let’s just say I have 20+ deaths on my level 8 Ele (they’re weaker then I thought) I have died right next to a WP which didn’t activate, I have seen countless people run passed me even when asking for help, I don’t blame them majority of the time my body is halfway through something when I die xD

I revive anyone I can, free exp if they’re AFK that’s their fault although, I will stick around and defend them for awhile.

Forgal was a cool character, but I found his voice actor pretty distracting. I can only associate that voice with Colonel Campbell from Metal Gear Solid. That, and Paul Eiding (voice actor) seemed to randomly “forget” what kind of voice to do for the character. Sometimes he’d do a very gruff, almost growling voice, and other times he’d just stop the gruffness and speak normally.

As for Claw Island, Forgal spent 95% of the time dead on the beach. I couldn’t even revive him, because there was a permanent cloud of undead on top of him at all times. For that scene, he was completely useless to me. Too bad, because he seemed to hold his own for the rest of the game.

I had this issue to, it took me 40 minutes to revive Mira (I think that’s her name) as Undead kept spawning directly on her.

I was going to Craft 1 – 80 but then I thought I’m losing valuable experience on my Thief.
I may just head off to the Charr area. Thanks everyone. :}

ehmm you are not supposed to level solely with personal story, in fact the majority of your xp should be gotten by DE’s mainly, in fact by the time my 2 lvl 80’s were max lvl my peronsal story on them both was around the 40’s still

My PS says I need to be level 14 but I have to go into a level 25 zone.. I enjoy the PS also, I mix it up.

if you really find it too easy to be fun, try purposefully go to area where mobs is a bit higher lvl than you? This also double as getting increased drop chances when you fight enemies over your level. If you have to skip some stuff for it when you reahc 80 you can always go back and jsut blow it out in a few minutes likely.

I don’t mind loot, I love a challenge, if something gets easy I start to get bored.
Legit at lower levels anything 3 levels higher then you seems to blow you up.
I die to Centaurs on my level 14 Thief, which is not right. Maybe I just lag or whatever but they seem to insta gib me.

I personally think their needs to be a little more 1 – 30 content, I mean at level 14 my Personal story expects me to go into a level 25 zone, what the heck is that, lmao.

Maybe a lower level only training area which becomes unavailable at 10 – 20 – 30 etc.
Or make the events a little more common, the exp is good it’s just things aren’t as common in the starting areas as the others.

I first noticed this on my Ranger (who is now 80) 1 – 30 was the most boring time ever, If I ever went somewhere to far I got blown up and killed, but staying in the lower levels was to easy and annoying, all I want to do is hearts as they’re fun.

The struggle is that after 30 I have this major fun and level so quickly, but this kitten 1 -30 is killing me, I’m at 14 on my thief and I cannot stand it..

Edit: Didn’t even catch me to go to other peoples starting areas, gosh I’m an idiot.

You may have to send in a bug report, as that does seem strange. :[

I hate Trahearne, ANet should give the option to kill him and Anise or the angel thing you meet when going to under water in that puzzle thing (for her name) should take over, both would have been better then Trahearne >.<! – As for that detonation bit, none of the mobs got 3 steps out of the water, ANet should have made them swarm you but made it so you didn’t die, like a priory was healing you constantly.

The wife bit was a tad done badly. A) Why would you just leave her She asks for help and keeps running when the unrisen start spawning.

I did like Tonn though, My favorites always get killed and the people I hate stay alive.

How did he actually die? – I liked him very much even with my hate for the Asura race, I was a little heart broken when that she-devil lady said he died in her cruel manner and no sympathy.

Did he get caught in the explosion or did the unrisen get him?

you have to wait around 20 seconds and it’ll appear, it’s so you read what it says and not just skip it.

is an exploit of human emotions and psychology. So it doesn’t matter if it’s an exploit for in the game, or an exploit for real life, an exploit is an exploit.

Go to the Mist and try 8 vs 8 battles.

WwW is almost like pve and doesnt really count. Rangers are ok there hiding behind the zerg with ranged weapons^^ But it really isnt pvp were you try your skill and proffesion towards others.
I play alot of pvp and i do alright, really. But.. Try fight mesmers with 6 illusions out when your bow has a life of its own, always aiming for the least worthy target. Or try fight an assasin that has half a clue about stealth. Try limp your way out of battle, were other classes can remove conditions, stealth, teleport, speedboost, etc out of trouble. When your downed, you got the worst skills of them all, oh btw the pet is dead and too slow anyways. Were the other people can cloak, teleport, go as mist, blah blah blah all you got is a 2 sec delay cause of the daze-skill, then dead. Thats all it. To be ranger you need to be uberx10 to do decent.
It just isnt fun. Your bow autoaims, you controlskills just dont work 50% when you need them to and your basically a sitting duck.

A ranger should not be close to the battle, I learned that when I hit 80 but I do agree the aiming sucks and the pets dodgy AI is terrible to.

I have tried the others and well..

Asura: This class gets on my nerves, you cannot do anything that shouts out “Hey look at my armour and weapons” – instead you cannot tell anything and the voice of them does my head in.

Charr: Something about the look of them makes me wonder. :{ I just cannot grasp them, they annoy the hell out of me.

Norn: Like a human, just to massive, I hate it, I hate them (I enjoyed the starting mission of them though) – No female should be that tall. :L

Slyvari: Freakish scaled people :{ They look like bark. lol.

But yes all 8 of my characters are female humans, I was a tad disappointed there was no emo/scene hair xD
But yeah I need something to drag me away from the Human PS as it’s getting old and annoying.

A temp ban is to much, if you’re going to get banned for it, why is it even an option in the game.
It’s used for people who like to troll etc.

Okay, first of all: snowflake exploit. People are getting banned for crafting, yet those who are actively and needlessly malicious towards other players face no consequences.

If they’re going to act like children and bully others around, then they need to go sit in the corner and take a time out. A week without GW2 isn’t going to kill them. How hard is it to just not kick people out of the dungeon at the last second?

As for why it’s an option in the game, I can’t speak to that. There should probably be some mechanism in place to prevent it from happening, at least while in combat and for some period of time after the kill so they have a chance to loot. I know, whatever system ANet comes up with, there will be unfair things popping up in it — but in this case they have the means to do something about it fairly easily.

If you ask me, ArenaNet should hand anyone who voted to kick a temporary ban. They don’t have to take your word for it that you were a valuable team member, nor does it matter if the other group members felt you were a bad player (though it sounds like that wasn’t their motivation anyhow). ANet can look up exactly what happened, and when, and verify every detail of the story. Motives are irrelevant. There’s no “gray area” where it might be okay to kick someone just before the final boss drops. Even if they felt you were a serious liability to the team, they had the whole dungeon to figure that out.

I know ArenaNet have a lot on their plate, and are already in getting flak from some people about the amount of bans they’ve been handing out lately — but there comes a time when they have to decide whether they want to defend well-meaning customers against people who abuse the system, or if they want to turn a blind eye to it and let behaviour like this continue.

Maybe this could be a chance to get creative with their punishments, too. Make them do “community service” like running 5 dungeon PUGs without being able to collect any loot, or have them run a bunch of different dynamic events in low-level zones. Heck, put a special icon above their heads for a while so everyone in Tyria knows what they did.

Happens often, in most MMORPG games, even in FPS/slasher) games, people will kick the most dominant person.

I have never been in a Dungeon on GW2 as of yet, as I’m only level 77 (almost 78) but I have seen that getting a group of friends/guild members is better as pick up groups (PUG) tend to have this more common.

Thanks for the tips everyone, I think for the more expensive ones I’ll use a boost, but ’ll start gathering now.

Crafting boosters do mean you level faster than you would without using one – i.e. you gain more levelling exp for each item crafted (until the exp limit on that item is reached) and you earn more exp through discovery.

Most crafting guides depend on discovery to get you from 1-400 in the most effective way, which usually means that you are only creating one of a specific item before going on to discover another one – that way you never reach the exp limit on a specific thing (as in crafting mulitples of it until it gives you no exp at all).

The only crafting items where you will see diminishing returns in exp is where you are refining your base mats – i.e. turning wood into planks, etc as you will need more of these in order to facilitate the discovery of new items.

Seeing as I wont be exploring would it be easier to buy the stuff of the TP?

I don’t think crafting boosters work like that… lol. Crafting boosters help you level your profession faster but you’ll still be within the experience threshold all the way til 400.

As far as I know exp drops after you make one thing to much, In Chef I made like 100 Chocolate things and I was getting 50exp by the 50th.

If you have no mats at all, that is. Even then, Cooking for example, can be cheapened a lot if you try to stick to mainly using the ingredients that can be gotten from Karma, which are quite a few. Cooking should be about 2-3 gold. Artificer likewise (crafting just potions). I’m thinking Leatherworking comes next, with about 4Gish. Then I’d say armorsmithing at probably about 5g. Jewelcrafting and weaponsmithing (avoid weapons that require lots of wood like the plague) are probably equally expensive, 6-7G? Huntsman remains and is horrible. Wood is horribly expensive at the Trading Post. Have fun burning 10G on this last profession alone. I’d probably recommend doing only 5 crafts, and skip Jewel crafting, Weaponsmithing and Huntsman. Just level the first 20 levels manually, which are faster than later levels. Then get 50 levels through crafting. At level 70, you can go into Orr, and by the time you reach Cursed Shore, you’re level 75. Do two hours of events and you’re 80 and made some money and Karma too.

This way, those 5 crafts will probably only have set you back 15-20 gold, depending on how many mats you started out with in the first place.

And like someone else said, always follow a crafting guide 1-400 to do the most efficient ways to level it up. Saves a lot of money.

Thank you for the helpful tips, I’m working two accounts to 80 so I’m gathering everything and hording to sell, I just spent like 3G on new weapons and armour (I was still using level 30 stuff, lol) – But I have a lot of gathering stuff, I may have to buy more bank room.

You get no exp once you max the skill.

You have to take every crafting skill to 400 except chef which will be about 150 when you hit 80. I suggest following crafting guides to minimize expense. Even then it will cost you about 60gp and will take 5 hours to do.
