So can we expect a fix for the rewards today or not? Cause 2 weeks ago you devs just laughed in our faces for speculating, but since HoT update was november and we’re december keeping away info is not teasing but downright bullying! So if you guys want speculatikn to stop or not have players posting your communication is incompetent i suggest leaving some info over here would be the smart move and not like last time sry guys as you alreafy saw we didnt include the fractal fix yet like we didnt notice by that time!

So plz devs be respectfull for once and give us info. Would be nice to have you guys updating on progress in your own thread! That would be teasing!

Because if i’m reading the fora i can’t help bit notice that a lot of flaming and anger is due to the lack of communication and not because the content is not quite what we expected. We just want answers we want developpers not kittening politicians!

Hmm. I have been attempting to answer this question by trying out different ways of farming over the last 7 days.

Firstly I will mention what I have NOT tried: Fractals, New map zone events, Raids.

What I HAVE tried: Orr farming, Planned mat farming (daily per char), roaming mat farming (daily per char), PvP rewards.

1. Orr Farming, Cursed Shores:

This seems to be among the most common practices of farming. You find a good map and follow the zerg whilst trying to hit every mob possible. On the way whilst roaming with the zerg you can collect all the mats you pass which are between 2-5s each in cursed shores. Not bad.

The return from this could be varying.. I received 30g for 2h once. Another time 40. Another time 15g for 2 hours. And map rewards matter a lot (you get 1 map reward per 5 events, really easy to do in an organised C. Shore map).

2. Planned Mat Farming:

This can take as quickly as it takes you to go to a waypoint, locate the metal vain/mat location and collect it to sell RAW. This takes me around 30minutes and gives me around 13g per day, per char. You do this in the following way:

Make a new guild, and in the guild chat copy+paste codes & location tips of the mats. You can find these at the following link: https://goo.gl/MG9wXe

Go 1 by 1 collecting all mats.. Doesn’t get simpler than that. You will get around 200 iron/200 platinum which amount to around 10g. The rest + other random mats you grab around the area can yield up to 5g easy. This i recommend to do DAILY if you want a sure/efficient way.

3. I roam around 20-40 level areas collecting iron and softwood.

Some other mats that I find valuable. This i would only recommend if you have a 2nd screen or something to entertain yourself with, I would die of boredom otherwise.

This sums up my research that lasted the last 7 days. I will probably just make a master post for simple farmers once I try more things and make sure my findings are correct and averaged across some time..

At this point i farm up a deldrimor ingot and a spirit plank they go for about 20g now and if i’m not mistaking just a little better then the raw mats but thats only 20g and after farming nides for an hour i’m kinda bored with it the cursed shore is good idea have to check that one out

Hi guys just started farming stuff for my legendary. The probkem is this is rly expensive and how i used to get gold (running dungeons) is now nerfed as kitten!

Imagine having 4 h of playing tim how much money can you make and how?
And if i ask how i mean exactly how! What to sell what to craft what to farm…

So, as we all know the League system is a train wreck, and I’ve seen many ideas bouncing around to fix it.

I however, believe that this is the simplest and most complete fix for the League system:

1. Tie MMR to pip gain. Having more MMR than typical for a given division should make you climb faster. Not slower.
2. If you have less MMR than typical for a given division the opposite should happen. It should be harder to gain pips until your MMR has gone up again.
3. Add placement matches for the next season and factor in your MMR in where you begin. There is no reason a top tier player should start in Amber.

This would make it easier for high MMR players to find their “real” division faster. It would completely negate the griefing that has started to occur (Players intentionally losing games to lower their MMR, so that gaining pips will be easier.). As it currently stands the system encourages players to grief.

It would basically reward playing well and winning. Also this is basically how League of Legends system work.

As it is right now your placement in the League basically has nothing to do with how good you are. And this is a a huge problem. Tying MMR to the system is an absolute must.

Arena.Net has created a great framework for PvP League, but has sadly forgotten to tie everything together. Luckily, the changes required aren’t huge.

So you want to tie mmr to pip gain, i do agree on that!
I do believe the way you tie it is thenopposite of whatnit should be! So you gonout from te pip gain towards your mmr so if you arenlow mmr and managed to play this good you get in higher devisions. You are basicly running into a timewall were you have to raise your mmr (towards your actual mmr since gaining devisions above your mmr means your mmr is to low to show for how you are playing) before you actually gain pip in a descent way comparef to high mmr player!

Isn’t that wrong on sonmany lvls? Shouldn’t you reward players who are actually playing above their own lvl instead of setting them ip for an mmr grind?

Tbh i love League systems cause they are touchable but the best way is till to kick em to the moon and show our mmr as a rating

Other problem devisions should be something showing how good you are and thus people eventually should be stuck in a devision. Which makes it not able to tie rewards to it if you progress. Altough the idea of seting you 1 or 2 devisions back at start of season solves that problem rather well

I realy have the feeling people on the forul never played pvp based games like dota,lol,…
You realy don’t want to end up in elo hell!
It might be faster now but in 2to3 months you’ll regret dropping mmr having to get out of that hell when the dust has settled and matchmaking finaly kinda works guys gonplay lol or somerhing and learn how this works little crybabies

I do agree all people colplaining fractals to be to hard are bullkittentin but i do feel like they should ad content to work your way to rhat lvl of skill now you havr this gigantic skill wall you just need to run into until you finaly get over it.
This imo is not good design as thzy should offer content to progress toward raids.

Or am i just downright stupid? ????

Guys sry I’m gonna white knight over here this couls turnnoutno be kitten but matchmaking is not somerhing you get right from the first time look at LoL Dota smite HoN …
Give em some time to let the matchmaking and devisions settle first ???? if this is not gonna happen you have all right to complain but i thing over time this will fix matchmaking more or less ?

It’s clear. But problem still exist that IF you are really high in mmr. You are closer to 50% winrate and it’s hård to br any better. Then u will be stuck in div2. But IF you downgrade your mmr. And then play, or IF u just are a good player and have not Been playing much ranked before. You will maybe have 70% winrate to start with. And be in higher league even before The pros.

I must agree with you thatbthis is true and frustrating but it will only last a few seasons.
Plus look at it frol the side of those players kow rising to a devision above their capabilitys. They’ll demote thats even a worse fzeling then having to grind your way to legend ????

First I’ll be honnest i haven’t read all post so sry if I repeating something.

I just rly had to get this of my chest!

OP does not understand the first thing about the devision system and apparently as no feeling with engineering wath i can understand.

Let me explain:
You have an mmr to put yourself against more or less equal skilled opponents. This so that the game feels furfilling since stomping or getting stomped gets old fast.

If you are better then you current mmr (you belong on a better devision) you’ll win more then you lose hence you go up in devision. If you lose more you’re playng below your mmr and go down a devision.

Before i get flamed i understand this systel is flawed and hope next season we will have a starting devision based on where we ended up. This way the devisions will in time balance their self based on mmr, so that my above statement is right.

Did this clear things up? I hope so!

Is ascended gear necessary for raid?

I have a zerg guard at the moment since i loved dungeons and it was good reward :p
But if i need to change stats for raiding (Do i need to or wil zerg work to?).
Wil exotic gear be sufficient since farming new ascened wil take time

are you running an nvidia graphics card? if so.. thats your problem. the game has a memory leak now that is affecting nvidia cards… no fix in sight

You can’t be serious right how can there be a bug with the nvidia graphicscard with no fix in sight :S 50% or more run nvidia :O Anet goin mad?

First of all hello guys and sorry if this topic exists already.

I’m not new new to the game but as many players who didn’t wan’t to get more in to it i used the dungeon endboxes for farming money.
If i ran AC; COF p1 and TA i did have some gold in a fairly nice time.

Now as you guys all know they changed the reward for the dungeons, and now I don’t have the slightest clue of how to farm gold quick.

And that’s the important part QUICK.

I know we can do SW and stuff and ok that’s kinda ok, but I liked dungeoning more and hoped you guys knew other ways then just farming maps.
