The Stonemouth Keep
Tarnished Coast
Just keeping it fresh and since I missed the ritualist thought I’d re-post; I think it’s a good idea to keep these in a single list so when we go to look through these we can see every ones ideas on one post so we don’t have to sift through pages to see all the ideas pitched and also so we don’t have reoccurring class ideas. If I missed any or anyone wants to add to this list please feel free to copy / paste and add onto the list.
So far we have:
Death knight,
Juggernaut,
Samurai,
Monk,
Paragon,
Dervish,
Bard,
Star Bender (One who uses the celestial power of the cosmos)
Ritualist
Double Agent (One of doppelganger abilities)
Druid (With ability to shape shift and call upon the forces of nature similar to that of grawl as they summon totems to gives boons)
Right, it seems like they spent minutes thinking about him before they added him to the map. and then you have the luarel vendor who sells some of the same loot (season one living story loot) and then you have, get this two other merchants who are posted right behind Sonder who again sell some of the exact same loot for different currency. This is a mess and needs a few moments thought by someone to be consolidated onto one vendor with all of the available merchandise and currencies.
I have two warriors and two rangers. My second warrior I made because I wanted to run a different build and would rather swap toons to play a different role rather than carry around multiple sets of gear and have to re-trait every time I needed to change it up. My first ranger was a charr so he’s rather large and I play rangers in pvp so I made my second ranger an asura for the simple fact that in pvp they can be a pain to select in the heat of the moment. (Tab is key) I would also consider making more of the same class so I can wear different cultural armor, as heavy norn and sylvari are my favorite cultural heavy gear.
Super Adventure Box being re-instated as playable and permanent content. People spent money on their infinite tokens and then it’s been removed and they’re not sure if it’ll ever come back; it’s thievery.
This thread is for discussing class’s not for critiquing if I’m mad. Forum administrators say the same spiel so please keep your thoughts on point. Thanks.
I was curious why Sonder the Seller sells nearly all items for some of the old events and then you come to the Halloween event tabs and he has three options out of the known tens of items that were available. We can turn cor into cobs but you can’t turn fang, nougat or skulls into their upgraded components nor do have any option further than buying the mad king thorns son mini and a Halloween pail. It seems very lacking in options when you see the rest of the tabs and what is offered. I understand it’s not Halloween but it’s not any of the other events either so why do they garner more favor when they’re also re-accruing. (aside from the Dragon Bash) on the same note you have the Halloween tabs available and there’s zero Wintersday tabs available.
Not sure how discussing new class ideas constitutes being a new player but your attitude for sure isn’t new please find a cave to troll in somewhere.
Charr horn designs to be added to the Total Makeover Kit are long over due
I see juggernauts having the capability to dual wield two handed weapons.
These are all class ideas I’ve so far seen asked about including a few of my own suggestions.// Samurai, Star Bender and Bard//
Death knight,
Juggernaut,
Samurai,
Monk,
Paragon,
Dervish,
Bard,
Star Bender (One who uses the celestial power of the cosmos)
There’s another thread somewhere (can’t find) with many many pages regarding new classes so I’m sure I missed a few.
No need to get into great detail as the title says it all; I think it would be cool if we could upgrade our hero’s band as we go so we could still use it as we’re lvl 80 so it’s only use isn’t secluded to the first ten levels of game-play. Just thought I’d throw it out there.
I can hear the crickets.
I would love to see SAB come back. Especially permanently but I’d be happy even if it was for the time being just during wintersday. i have baubles that need spending and an infinite life coin that i payed cash for just wasting away. Even if it’s not opened Moto stil waits outside of his worlds greatest machine of entertainment and you can’t even talk to him or view his merchandise. This is a crime against humanity.
Another class could be a Bard who uses musical instruments along with a wide variety of other weapons to buff their teammates and subdue their enemies.
I still think this is a very viable and nice addition that could and should be considered for implementation. A suggestion that I believe simply got lost in the clutter. Sorry if this “bump” is unwanted but I found it better than adding another thread when it already exists.
I would like to see the prices of gems lower or the items not cost as many gems. most things I would buy if they were not severely overpriced
I would be buying the mini’s were they 150 gems cheaper. I’d own’m all.
Heck the earmuffs are 25 gems and they’re just as “useful” as the minis.
Serious suggestions?
We want stuff to force ourselves playing the game because of our look – not because every-day content thats not really exists. Here is a “Serious” one:
Gem Purchase track: The more real money you spend, the more nice rewards you get. Example of total money spent rewards:
- $10 – 1BL Key
- $25 – 3Bl Key
- $50 – 5BL key + Mini pack of choice + “Black Lion Partner” title.
- $100 – Ascended weapon box OR a free weapon skin unlock of any BL kit.
- $150 – Ascended armor box OR a free armor skinpack. + “Black Lion Merchant” title.
- $200 – AN Supporter Superpack (lots of choseable goods)
- $350 – “Black Lion Trader” title.
- $500 – “Black Lion Broker” title
- $1000 – AN Supporter Gigapack (Also unlocks stuff you wouldn’t bother to get anyway, like Glorious armor skins) + “Black Lion Millionaire” title
Something like this. With these kind of heavy rewards, people will less likely to buy legendaries from third-party sites I guess.
Who is going to spend $1000 on a game, lol.
I’m sure many people already have and I myself am over half-way and had actually made a thread exactly related to this. ""Searches for thread
Bingo
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Gem-Card-Rewards/first#post4609506
There is already a way of acquiring these and putting them on the gem store would in my opinion be absurd. Let’s ask to put ascended armor and legendaries on the gem store too because I don’t want to spend the time farming the ingredients. Can we also buy pvp rank upgrades?
If you go to Dry Top you can farm the chests until you get a kite drop and then you’ll have permanent swiftness while holding the kite of which there are three styles. It may not be a full scale swiftness but it is permanent and increases while during a sandstorm in Dry Top.
Even if it was on a title track it doesn’t have to give any ap. I could see a title like Glorious Defender or Savior or Tyria or Legendary Purchaser of Shiny Trinkets or My Wallet Smells of Flys, Evon Gnashblades Broker the list is endless.
The gems in bulk idea is also a great idea; I was surprised when I first saw that all amounts are of the same ratio.
I’ve logged thousands of hours into gw1 and 2 and i have almost 10 80 characters mostly all geared out. yes i spend gems and wouldn’t mind some other reward when not everything in the gem-store is truly worth it. People want to pay for subscriptions because they think that’ll help. give them more incentive to buy gems cards.
I would like to see a samurai who brings along 1 new weapon; a spiked chain or a chained blade.
I would also like see the paragon make his way back into stage wielding spears.
And I think we’re in dire need of finally adding two handed-axes

Or take say the three of the coolest gw1 armor’s of each class and once you hit the mark on gem purchases you get a choice of which class you want. This could work as an outfit or as a set.
Any other gem card reward ideas out there?
(edited by Mufasa.8415)
Maybe make gem card available only guildwars 2 armor reminiscent of the old warrior eagle armor with gw2 logos $500 of gem card purchases unlocks it for your account or something of the sort. It should be set up like the salvaging achievement track.
We should have some sort of in-game gem card reward system for those who fork out the cash. If we got achievement points, a progressive title, unlockables or something; it would help drive sales.
I’ll also say that I don’t care if people farm cof or any other dungeon. Why should I?. I personally don’t farm it either. But one of the main reasons I made 9 80 characters was so I could alt hop for rewards. Now i can run all paths over and over and over again alllll day on any toon and can’t make any more tokens than a few hundred. great one piece of armor for a day of potential farming. I actually do enjoy farming. The one game I’ve always gone back to SilkRoad is one of the most grind intensive games out there and one of the most enjoyable for me. But I’d rather put my time into just one good game. Quite nerfing our efforts.
I know the first thing I did when I saw all of this tutorial pop-up I went looking for a way to disable it (First thing I do in any game.) and there’s not even an option.
I’m only PvE player as well as most of my guild. I think this game is no longer interesting for me and my guildmates. We just move to other mmo’s that are better for ppl who need challange for 18+.
2 years ago I remember this game to be challenging, unique and breathtaking, but many of the old devs are no longer working in ANet, their ideas and spirit they’ve put into the game are gone long ago – I’m talking about those ideas which made me buy and support this game. For me it was solid gameplay with dark, fascinating and mature story.
ANet was from the very begining of GW2 with you, and after all this time you need to show me when to use my heal skill? WTF? That’s annoying, really. Don’t treat me like 12 year old kid, I want to figure out things for myself, and this game is too much “kid freindly” to do it now.
Another example: killing a world boss, please ANet don’t show me how I suppose to kill my opponent, just let me kill it my way! That’s the fun part of any game!
We waited for Guild Halls, we waited for GvG mode, we wanted duels, we wanted challenges, we waited for new expansions that we could buy. Dynamic events on maps, yes, that was cool at the beginig, but in endgame whey are just something that you pass on the map if you aren’t afk in LA.
Living story – I never was fan of it, I knew that small parts of content won’t keep me online in game for long – just like those dynamic events. It’s like too thinly spread butter on a slice of bread. If you are hungry you will eat it, but after so much time with those slices you got sick of them.
Our guild, like many other old ones, needs something big, and I mean like really big! Also make sure that new content is tested, we don’t like to be free beta-testers after final launch of the game.
Please ANet, treat old players with respect – they
arewere your main supporters!
That’s me and my guild to a T, all of it and right now I’m the only one that still plays out of over 100 members their last known log in is unknown.
I don’t know if this has been covered I only got about a page and a half in.
For fpv control options.
You could have a first-person view break on combat check box; as well as a particle effects / skill effects slider which would help lessen tearing in general even w/o first-person view. There should also be a key that’d you’d have to manually set up through the control options to toggle in and out so you don’t accidentally scroll in during a fight.
(edited by Mufasa.8415)
There’s no need for ascended gear until you’re level 80 so that in my opinion isn’t a good direction to go in. It would ruin the armor quality of all those who’ve sat and crafted the gear already made for only one person and making all ascended gear that way certainty can’t be a viable option.
I think, if it’s implemented it should be rare grade because it it’s still the top of the line gear you can get stat-wise until you’re level 62 when exotic gear becomes available.
I agree with you as well; I was actually looking forward to seeing the previous nodes going on a bundle sale over the holiday or just a sale at all. And it’s cool to see that they’ve added rare nodes but after I got burnt on buying keys a few times it’s just not worth it when I can hold out and buy an item that’s guaranteed. That being said I now see buying the common nodes less appealing.
Although. If scraps were gotten rid of and only complete Black Lion Tickets dropped(when they dropped) and didn’t drop any less than do now (Considering the drop rate of scraps into the same ratio as tickets.) I’d then probably buy keys without much guilt.
I think it would be great if we could craft brew that we could drink and share that lasts for few minutes rather than 30 seconds after 20 got mad-clicked through. But also able to craft brew that lasts for 30min at differing grades of insobriety with stats as all other food does(Of course once added to the mystic forge for a recipe you could then make kegs). This will also allow players to have other means or more ways for working towards the Thirst Slayer title.
I could see being able to make a rare grade piece of armor or weapon with that ability but not until you’ve reached 500 in the respected craft and it should require an ascended ingredient or two and be made account bound.
You could have a first-person view break on combat check box; as well as a particle effects / skill effects slider which would help lessen tearing in general even w/o first-person view. It could also just be a key that’d you’d have to manually set up through the control options to toggle in and out so you don’t accidentally scroll in during a fight.
Awesome thanks for the link; looks like it’s going to be a few months yet but is hopefully on the way.
Last dev. post.

I would quite day one of that change without hesitation or cares. and why would they?
Get $100’ish out of me a year rather than the near $500 in gems I buy. I am heavily steeped in old-school Nintendo games and am perfectly content playing metroid mega-man and square soft/enix whichever it was back then. Lufia here I come.
I was trying to find one already in the forums but that’s quite the task and a topic already covered as well. So. My question is whether or not there are any plans on implementing a first-person view for our gaming pleasure. If so, when and if not, why?
I’m lacking immersion at times (especially in story) when I always have to see my own back or my own character in general. I want to see from my own (in-game) eyes and we all know others do too. I remember it being brought up in beta but I never followed it hoping that it’d just come along because it was there in GW1; even in GW1 I played with my controller in first-person and it’s epic just running through the outskirts of old Ascalon.
Thanks for the help.
You can also change your e-mail at any time up until you link your accounts. After which it becomes static.
I’m asking that if the e-mails for each respective game. gw and gw2 are different from e/o if they would be able to be linked or if they need to be under the same e-mail from the start.
Thanks.
I am curious if I can create an account and link it to an e-mail from gw1 that is not of that same e-mail address and if then which e-mail would take priority or could I choose?
///Slightly off-topic but related to gem purchases. A gem purchaser’s title track would be nice to have as well. There should be a couple tiers with a title for your first 25$ gem purchase and more interesting titles the more you spend. these would however have no achievement points attached to it as it would be unfair to those who then wouldn’t have money to further there achievement rewards track aside from the first tier to encourage your first purchase.
Also since we have bear, quagan, frog, leopord hats why don’t we have a monkey hat?Like the bunny ears people would buy them up but bunny ears I’m sure will be held out for easter.
A monkey hat would be GREAT but unlike how the other hats are the monkey hat should be full face kind of like the picture in the link below.

Another thing that would sell like candy is “Guild Re-Name Scrolls/Stones/Tablets/Relics”
?Guild Re-Name items
?Increased bank tab limit.
?Race changing item
?Copper-fed Mystic Salvage tool with **master’s salvage potential
?Black Lion Tickets(250 a piece)
the bank tab limit should be raised to 25.
I like to hold onto all that I can and i’ve got nearly three bank tabs that are soley for gear skins and two with just ascended rings. I have all 12 tabs and have about 3 open slots that i have to constantly work around. once more story content Items like deliqua’s journal are released I’ll really be short on room. -
I think we need the basics like we had in Guild Wars. some merchants a couple bankers, some portals and a few different maps to choose from for our guild instance. maybe 10 healthy options/maps. *An arena* one that can be ran into like the wilds and while in the area it’s pvp free for all but it should be within the map rather than having to load to it. You could also make it auto scale all players to 80 upon zoning in.
With the Airship and the one in Divinity’s any other options like crafting or town ports needs to be either left out altogether or if integrated anyone that had bought those permanent passes should get a refund. as they should be able to port straight to their GH from the guild window.
The GH should also be free from timed kicks. Sometimes we just want to /dance*.
I’m also interested in #6 on Vanive.3804 ’s post
I am hoping to get a response from staff on this. But I myself along with many others bought the collector’s edition before release and we got a few cool real world items like the book and Rytlock model. But we also paid $150 for that. an extra $100 beyond the actual price of the game and $80 more than the deluxe. And I was happy to pay extra for those items. But then Heroic edition comes out and it comes with two free armor skins that you would otherwise have to purchase from the gem store for $25. I was a little disappointed but I eventually shrugged it off. Now if you buy the game for the cost of the gem card you still get those items and the game itself was practically free. And I still have to go spend another $25 if I want those items. That just doesn’t seem right to me. and I personally feel that everyone that had purchased the collector’s edition should be essentially reimbursed for those items that they should have received but never did. I think this needs some serious discussion.
We need to be able to view our guild window without having to log into a character; it’s an extension of your friends list. We should also have a chat box in our character selection screen so we can chat/strategize w/o having to get timed-out. This would only add to the magic of Guild Wars 2 and it’s an easily applied tool that many I’m sure would enjoy.
If there’s anyone that would like to know their vote is counting for double their normal vote I have bought a bunch of Ellen Kiel support banners; If you send me coin for tokens They’ll all get used for voting double votes towards #teamkiel(have already turned in over 1k myself). Let’s keep’m coming guys. Kiel ftw.
