The Stonemouth Keep
Tarnished Coast
i THINK THEY JUST NEED SIMPLE TWEAKS not any huge changes. Caps lock.. Like using their pet’s F2 skill shouldn’t make them auto attack right after.(using a fern hound for it regen , then using it’s f2 to have it run off after the nearest enemy. same for pigs if i’m using them just for their forage skill. at least while they’re on guard.) I think rangers are amazing in any dungeon as i usually am the last to survive then having to tank and revive the other teamates. also another tweak is for drakes; i use their f2 and half the time they don’t run after the target but, they stop right where they’re at and spray without even facing the enemy whether its right inrange or a mile away(Which is why a never use them any more.sad-face). and last but not least maybe my biggest pet peeve is the bug with pet revives. it’s gotta be 1/2 or more of the time you use skill 3 when downed they just run to you then stand there doing nothing. Same with “search and rescue”.
I don’t think we need any big buffs for rangers but rather a few mechanic tweaks and bug fixes.
jUST REALIZED AT MY CHARACTER SELECT SCREEN THE WORLD COMPLETION star is at 62% but my highest character is at 63%. Caps lock ftw.
First two are from jumping puzzles, the second is at the front door of Goem the mad. Third is from the collossus fractal.
I did actualy craft my own recipe which is why I made this thread in the first place because I was disappointed. Guess it’s just me.
Even if it’s for the benefit of your guildmates or wvw group or w/e it is that you’re doing as it stands now you’re better off just buying the individual meals.
My point is the cost to have the ability to craft these outways the benefits.
the recipe off the tp is ranging anywhere from 30g to 80g.
oKAY SO AFTER GOING THROUGH THE TP MORE… caps lock ftl.
But after going through the tp more and seeing what the majority of these feasts are going for I retract my main reason for making an imropvement on these but I still believe that they do need improvment considering how much coin and sp you have to put forth to acquire these recipes.
feasts are great but they cost a lot and they only last 5minutes. who’s going to spend 1g or more on something you could just spend a few copper on for the meal that the feast is. these feasts should last a half hour to an hour so you can at least get two uses out of it. specially since the effects last 30minutes and it takes a lot of coin and skill points just to get the recipe. in my opinion as they stand now they’re not worth going after to craft buying or using.
Same as in gw1 there was pleanty of items you could and did consider as legendary but, they were still only skin upgrades. They did have a post somewhere in here talking about this subject a while ago when the lost shores was released talking about raising some stats to a degree but the reason that they weren’t in the first place was to keep a certain balance in WvW. Not that we won’t see this change in the future as new features items and ascended gear roll out but it will be further down the road. They did also state that when the change does occure that any legendaries already made will automaticly be upgraded as well so you don’t have to do the whole grind again for what you already have.
We don’t need henchmen in gw2. >.< please no. hah
I have been noticing this too. i ued to salvage all lvl 70+ rares for ectos and quite often got 1-3 ectos on roughly a 7/10 ratio using black lion salvage kits. since the update i have completely given up salvaging my high end rares in hopes of ectos because i’ve now gone 5+ in a row and not seen a single ecto. Thought maybe it was just me but then I saw this so I’d have to agree that something did get tweaked from one of the last few updates.
I love having my mini rytlock out 24/7 but I hate having to open my inventory and activate him everytime I map travle, go through a portal or log off even. There should be a slot in the hero equipment panel where I should be able to set my mini pet and it will always be out unless I unequip it. This will also free up a slot in my inventory and not require me to have an invisible bag as to not accidentally depposit him into my bank.
I wasn’t getting at it like that for that reason; as far as the pictures go i think they’re fine on aside from maybe being able to give it a checkered background or have an “elite” style of picture sets available to use once you unlock them via guild upgrades.(I actually get annoyed with all the obscene emblems people make in CoD.) That’s why I brought up d3 instead because I really liked how they went about it. And the additional features I was thinking about was having different shapes and maybe effects like glowing or something of the sort.
right click+block=fix/remove the spam filter please. if anything this will only get more people to report gold spammers which is not a bad thing.
that way even if say the “party leader” wanted to respec mid instance he/she is able to do so.
or that instead of having the group placed under a party “leader” that the group is it’s own entity and as long as the group is together and as long as one person stays in the zone of the dungeon that the instance stays open.
I agree with you. this was something I was also looking for myself. would make it easy for someone to mark out routes when farming common materials especially for omnom berries or orichalcum if we could mark them on our map and then check later on and be able to go “okay, there it was.” instead of spending 15 minutes running around the entire area trying to find it again.
Since we no longer have guild capes I feel like we’re missing something when it comes to guild attire. And I’m sure a lot of original gw veterans have thought that at some point as well. With guild banners I think it would be really cool and interesting(using that word loosely) to have more customization with our guild banners; yes we have a lot of picture options to choose from but, we all get the same standard banner flag design- long rectangular blahsay banner. A way gamesimprove upon themselves and progress are by looking at what has already been done and saying how can we beat that?. Well in d3 you got your own banner as well but you could really get into customizing it. I actually enjoyed trying to make mine look as bad kitten i could. As much as one could enjoy doing that anyway. hah But it would be nice to see this looked into. You could also tie this in with guild upgrades which would give us guilds that like woring towards something something else to work towards. There is a lot of ways you could go with this so I encourage you to play with the idea.
This is a major feature that needs to be utilized and implimeted into the game hopefully soon. guilds including ours are trying to find way around the fact of not having an alliance system in place- using sites set up for our guild and selecting a few officers to act as middle men to talk between the guilds but this won’t allow us to work and function properly and fluently. nothing really needs to be said how to do it as it has already been done in Guild Wars. It just needs to make it’s return; it’s to trivial and tedious to set up organized alliance events through third party channels.
but then also people wouldn’t feel as much of a grind as they already do if there was more variety. and a wave scheme like in gw1 where you protected the dragon egg from the destroyers. even adding just one along the same lines with a few more features than just kill and wait for a new wave and maybe having a chest every few waves would be a really fun thing. doing this you could also have a world/server leaderboard showing the highest scores and waves. would be really fun and add a new spin to pve. there was many dungeons in gw1 and you could still find a group for any one of them only problem was everyone was looking for people with a specific build which is why they died.
Well it could be run on the same line of microsoft sam where it read the script of the storyline. though it would need some major fine tuning so it didn’t sounds so automated; i don’t think you’d “need” to use voice actors for each one if you did it right. But if not then hey I’ll volunteer to do a voice over for free! ;]
^I agree with Xetelian too. At first I thought it was going to be good and with the dungeons being “rebalanced” I thought it was going to make dungeons runs a little smoother. But in dungeons like TA where you get trapped by blossum plants that now kill you almost instantly and your team is left there short of a few people they have no option but to die along with you.
Imo gw2 could use a little more varriety in the skills. the utility skills I think we’re good on but weaponskills I thnkwe need more of. I’d personally like to see some new weapons enter the game. Maybe a halberd, ball and chain, spear that could be used on land and maybe even staffs that were used for melee. Anyone else?
Then what I think that should be done is not to make our current dungeons easier but to make different dungeons built aroundthis concept. In gw1 they had a number of instances that were round based kinda like zombies for CoD where you hold your ground kill off the waves of destroyers flodding in and fortify your station. somthing like this would be amazing to see in-game. and would also bring a pvp feel to the pve as well.
Is it just me or would anyone else like to be able to customize their character voice upon creation? My favorite race is charr but i get turned off by the fact that going through storymode they all sounds the exact same. It wouldn’t be hard to add a pitch meter to the character creation and you wouldn’t have to go and make a hundred different people read the same script over and over that way. This would be another way that would solidify the want to replay the game over and over again.
I also agree; at least let us have control over our camera if not then be able to click on a teamates portrait and spectate them. Would make it easier if the person that went down happened to also be the same person calling targets.
Tried completeing this yesterday for 14 hours with maybe two one hour breaks. and to top it off my characcter model is the smallest asuran model you can make. I hardly get the chance to see what i’m doing unless i make it to the two bars at the drop but never am i ever able to make it there in time because everytime i jump i go straight into the vortex. among getting stuck on blocks that i’m not able to see at the start which opush me off theee side and then if we wanna take the clipping on the cogs into this? This event needs some kitten good fine tuning. i love the idea of this game but wtf did you guys have to make it so impossible to complete for?
I’ve tried doing this run multipile times now. which the gate is still bugged andyu canet through so hopefullythat gets patched.
But I’ve tried this many times now with a few groups and none of us can get past it. we taketurns kiting and dieing. 1 at a tie\me until about 35% and then two ata time. by the time the timerhits 65% there’s so many enemiesonthe field it’s almost impossible to get even ten feet without getting downed and they go through us so fast wedontevenhave time to respawn andrun back before we’re all dead as well as magg. you end up spenging all your coin on repairing because ofthis just to give up in the end.
I’m not saying the enemies need to be made easier but maybe the amount that is spawned needs tobe reduced or we need to be able to train the amout of the room or the time magg takes to set the bomb needs to be reduced. The farthest I’ve ever made it since the patch is 75%. And to those that say I’m doing it wrong I’m not I even set up a fear skill to buy some time, charrzooka to knock them all back as a group. There just ends up being too many enemies to handle.

hopefully while you guys are on the task of making dungeons more enjoyable, you can investigate why the soldier stat gear stops after sorrow’s embrace vendor? i have a ton of completely useless shards of zhaitan since my friends all want to do arah lately.
Pow/Vit/Tough gear, why is it absent from the CoF, HotW, CoE and Arah vendors? is that intended?
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
This would be a great change to offer each type of stat group for each armor vendor. So if you wanted Power/precision/crit dmg% but i wanted CoE armor style then i could instead of only being able to get that in either arah or CoF skins. i think this too would also open people up to playing different varieties of dungeons.
Making dungeons harder while increasing token rewards would be awesome too. or maybe even if you had a rare chance to have an enemy drop 1-2-3 tokens could aslo be a good route. then it might make some of the people complaining that increasing the rewards is making it too easy because in putting them on random drops isn’t a gaurentee that you’ll get it; it would be more of a surprise.
