Everyone’s MMR was just reset. In the eyes of the matchmaker, you’re all newbies now.

This happened even before your update, though. Playing with clueless Rank 1s is VERY frustrating when you have more than 2.2k games under your belt. Makes me question the whole purpose of Solo Q!

Hopefully your changes will adjust the MMR in the near future.

Lately I’ve been trying different builds across my characters and it amazes me that there aren’t any templates introduced in sPvP yet. Even the fact that a player has to reset trait points is a little annoying.

Devs, I realize this was probably asked a million times but when will we actually see minor changes like this make sPvP a more pleasurable experience?

So you come from wow because you heard stealth thieves can kill ppl in oneshot and never ever be visible for anyone and after the warrior didn’t die here you are.I suggest fughting a guard or engie too or even mesmer ranger or thief with heal builds you will have a blast

I don’t even like thieves, I usually play classes and styles that I like (nearly 2000 games as Powershroud Necro) and I actually try to avoid FOTM classes because it is not fun.

By the way I started this game last summer and currently have a rank of 42 – not that new to the mechanics of GW2’s PvP

Oh so you are rank 42 and you believe warriors are like this ijln mmos? Especially in gw2? So you played since launch but somehow you never complained so far that warriors were free kills for the last 10 months before the changes.Yeah warrior september 2012-june 2013 was such a huge regen warrior type like in any mmo /sarcasm.

Ps :there are no op classes just builds .If there were you are playing the most ridiculously op one gw2 had to this date

Thieves are balanced

Since ANet doesn’t want any 3rd party software they should add a 4th tab in the menu (esc) that relates to the customization of the AI. Small changes such as this one can make a good impact in terms of efficiency.

I would love to see it implemented.

most of the devs play war. it’s evident based on the footage they show us. it’s always a war with healing signet.

meanwhile in the warrior section, they still think they’re the weakest class…

I was watching a dev play a warrior during the Edge of the Mists release and MAN that damage (sometimes nearly 20k with #2 on GS) is absurd. It reminds me of Mages in World of Warcraft – no matter the expansion you’d be okay playing them since most devs did as well.

I saw your thread so I understand your frustration

I think it’s OP because it greatly favors classes that can use an elite skill more often than others and in some cases it enhances particular skills (mass invisibility + lyssa in mind) way too much.

I’m seriously wondering what the fixation is with Warrior’s regen. I switched to guild wars 2 from wow and I remember the warriors 2nd wind ability (heavy regen at 25-30% hp) being a horrible game design flaw, with warrior’s out-healing hybrid classes just by having that passive ability.

I understand that warriors are basically the symbol of stamina and longevity in battle but kitten ! Random immunities to condis and CC on top of the DR-less hammer smashing or absurd bleeding and burning damage just make it awful.

Is it that hard to (at least this) change the values a little bit in the regen?

I agree with most of your points although I believe that making Hotjoins 5v5 as opposed to 8v8 would fix a lot. It would give players (especially new ones) a better idea on how to actually fight and retain a base as opposed to looking for the biggest group to zerg with. Also, I believe that the introduction of new game modes in sPvP would bring more players in due to the increased selection. Larger maps (20-24 players total) with dedicated mechanics or even defense-style games (2-rounds, teams switch) would definitely be interesting – at least for hotjoins.

Sometimes I unknowingly cancel Lich Form and it always happens when someone is CC’ing me. It seems that the spell goes off and I enter LF for a split second but it just cancels itself out and resets the timer. Is this simply what happens when LF casting is interrupted or is it unintended?

I have been playing my Guardian with a 30/30/10/0/0 setup (Greatsword/Scepter-Torch) and I think I have been doing decent. Granted, I haven’t tried anything else and this is my reason for posting this: although the damage is ridiculous, I feel as if the build is lacking some functionality/survivability.

What are your experiences with Burst Guards? Any tips?

Use GPU-Z and verify that the card is in an x16 slot (Bus Interface, halfway down in the right column).

GW2 doesn’t hate AMD. Games that are more dependent on CPU than GPU hate AMD.

Haha I definitely would have noticed that! I get 50-70 FPS in BF3 on Ultra + 4X MSAA.

I’m just used to 60fps+

This is my first time posting here, so hello!

I never quite looked into it because it is still definitely playable but I can’t quite achieve the frames I would like (closer to 60). I only do sPvP/tPvP and my fps usually sits at around 25-40.
This is my rig:
FX-8320
8GB RAM 1600mhz
2GB Radeon 7870 XT with 13.3 drivers (beta I believe)
550w Corsair PSU

The settings are maxed @ 1920×1080 with native sampling. The fps can get down to 15-20 in the open world. Are these results normal? What are the best drivers for gw2?
