Well we get tense fights in keeps because just because we hope to catch the enemy of guard that doesn’t always work. Ask RS about the fight in garrison and bay on AM-BL today:P THAT was nice.

I respect your choice For the zerg, whatever, you like that. I can respect the concept of every server having zergs, I just led one on GBL. I will have to question this however.
So we have the entire map bar Greenbriar and skirmishes with RS at south bay. Next thing we know we’re outmanned and Hills + lake have been rushed by the infamous [DP] Mega blob. Okay whatever, mega blobs, expected this. Made our own to counter yours.
What annoys me is that even with THAT MANY, as soon as you get competition you leave the map… after ONE wipe/loss? Now remove Gandara from the picture here. RS hit hills and clearly wiped you guys as they came away with the keep. As SOON as that fight was over however, our outmanned debuff goes and AM is outmanned. For srs? Where’s the fight in you guys? Changing maps because a situation is hopeless is one thing, changing maps after the lightest bit of resistance however. o.0 (Ofcourse before you all freak out, not the entirety of AM does it blah blah whatever you get my point)
Well most of the time our zerg leaves to attack at another position. When the RS Zerg joins a map it is a good moment for us to attack their keeps for example. Or sometimes we have to go and defend our stuff on antoher map. It’s all about hit&run and attack at an enemies weak point.

Yeah our german forum threads kinda escalated:
First week RS vs AG vs AM: 8 pages
Second week RS vs AG vs AM: 5 pages
This week: 3 pages so far
And it’s no sweet-talk most of the time X.x
Well you can read the reason in this topic: You guys prefer fighting in open field so i would guess that you guys aren’t as concerned about siege tapping than we are. And i guess i stated it in the matchup against AG(maybee here too): Everyone has a different taste so thats fine.
6 hours and payment? Ha, I raise it to 12 and a half hours yesterday from 18.30 CEST to 7 CEST in the morning without payment. All this time a tapped Siege in the two northern towers and garrison every 20 minutes. Later I upgraded garrison, bay and hills to t3 for our morning crew so that they don’t have to deal with it. I payed around 70% of the upgrades for the 3 keeps.
All this time I got only 4(5) contacts with enemy players:
-10 RS players trying to attack eastern tower(they moved away after ~5 minutes)
-5 RS players attacking northern camp(wiped them after ~7 minutes)
-5 RS and 5 Gandara players attacking northern camp(took some time because it was 3-way so it was around 12 minutes)
-defending garrison two times against a 6-8 golem-rush by RS in the morning(we lost both fights but it they were good(so actually we payed even more because after the first rush garrison was already t2 when they attacked a second time))
Call it madness, endurance, dedication, patience or whatever, I don’t care…
Well most of our players already have guilds they like, so why should they want to join a organised WvW guild that doesn’t provide all their needs? We don’t have groups of 10-20 people that play together on a regular basis(except for the guilds that we already have). Yeah there are a lot of active WvW-players that are on TS on a regular basis so we know each other a little bit but that doesn’t mean that we play a lot together. We’re split between Maps and we dont play at the same time so it’s really not like a closed community like a guild but a way more loose kind of community where you only know very basic things about most people(names, some character classes etc.). I already came up with the theory some time ago that because you guys play on a international server with many different people from different countries and languages you guys tend to play wvw more in guildgroups/with members of your guild and friends while we as a single language server don’t have any kind of language barrier so our community is way more open(also i guess we have more things in common than a international server). What supports this theory is that i read and heard and got told that on most international servers the public WvW-TS is WAY less used than on single language servers. Some int. servers might not even have public servers.

Woah, some of you Gandara guys really need to chill a little bit. We didn’t know anything about exploiters so calm down. We’ll avoid it now but we can’t change what happend.
Well we didn’t know anything about exploiters in bay. All we saw was someone in Mapchat saying that he was still insight inner bay since the last time we got into lordroom. So we opened n/e gate outer and used the portals for inner. We don’t know if he was exploiting or hiding. Well, it happend. We can’t change it but we will watch out next time.
Tbh most of the last matchup-topic in the german section was trolling and flames. If you know someone who can translate german for you: Tell him/her to read the posts on TS and grab some popcorn………
THat said the new topic isn’t as bad until now.
You now what bothers me the most? Next matchup the whole discussion will come up again just with Gandara instead of AG. And it won’t stop. And you know why? Because we discuss two different styles of playing WvW and it’s a matter of opinion and no simple right or wrong discussion. We have our PoV and you got you PoV and they will never be the same. This is also the reason why it’s getting quite in here: Almost everything has been said and there is just no need to discuss it again.

Well as an AM player i would really like to see that happen. But Gandara has to take some days of i guess or they and not MS will replace AG in t4.
It’s common to keep trebbing a wall although the wall is down. It prevents repair and it causes a nice distraction becasue most enemys keep watching for the open wall because they’re afraid the attackers might come. And you don’t need a bot for that just dedicated players;).
No way 20 man capture a t3 hills or bay that is defended. ANd PUG_Zergs can’t go through this “what did we do wrong” process because the players that form the zerg switch everday if not every few hours.
Well I’m not sure if Miller got the coverage to fight in t4 atm but if we make the assumption that they had the manpower then the fight would be quite big and fierce I guess. Our last 3-German-Servers-Match(AM vs MS vs DL and final scores were: AM 212 650/ DL 195 512/ MS 209 310) was quite some time ago and we(AM) had the bigger manpower but it was still quit balanced enough for some really long large scale fights and a lot of Golem-rushs etc. I would assume that in a RS vs AM vs MS matchup only very few things would flip in prime time as long as all three servers field equal numbers because everything else would be guarded with zergs. Right now we got a good example with Hills on AM BL. We struggel to kick RS out of it because it is nearly impossible to capture a t3 hill as long as the defenders got supps and have equal or higher numbers. So in a german matchup most things would flip during the night and the server with the most dedicated night shift would take the lead. And the forum would be in flames. Even in the current matchup our topics on the german forum are warzones. Believe it or not: It is more likely that a german server teams up with a EU server against another german server(and that’s really unlikely already) than that 2 german servers work together. While we enjoy fighting against each other no german server would grant another german server to be successful because of their help.
Well if it was just numbers i couldnt care less,but it also seems AM and RS are making a habit of only/mostly attacking AG and leaving each other alone as much as possible.Making this the 2nd week of 2vs 1.Maybe its a good idea for Anet to not have 2 German or French servers in the same tier to keep chances even for all .No doubt im going to get comments about whining and this not being true but just look at the maps when AM or RS have the manpower at night and early mornings.If this is the way wvwvw is gonna be ,its going to turn alot of people off.
Well, tbh we don’t team up, but your borderland is just a easy way to get a better tick during the night. And i think RS thinks the same. Whenever we need some more points before a pointtick our commanders say something like: “Let’s switch to Aurora we can get another 40-50 point there before tick.” As you said yourself: RS and AM hav the manpower at that time and you don’t so you are the easiest target.
One thing that irks me, is zergs, the really big ones, the 80+ that abba constantly stick to each other like glue, Waypointing out back to spawn (more than once) before a fight with 1/4 their number. Dissappointing to say the least. In general though you roam alot more than the RS bunch.
Whenever i run with a zerg we don’t avoid a fight most of the time becasue we’re afraid. Most of the time we port because we have a INC somewhere else or because we want to make an attack somewhere else. Sometimes we even stop fighting because we get the order to disengage because we have to respond to INCs. But yeah sometimes we won’t attack because the situation doesn’t look like a fight would be successful. But this mostly happens when we try to attack a tower or keep and realise that there are to many people or siege inside.

I know how to unblock that and I watched it. But for most people it’s to probably to much effort. And romerise talked about how we germans “skip” that video. So I gave him an explanation why that happens.

Well that Video is blocked for most Germans, so don’t expect much Feedback. Anyway you are an organised guild group with heavy deff. So we use siege if it helps us. And as you can see it doesn’t even help always.
It’s not like we’re the only one who place siege in open field. Your zergs like to place ACs in 30vs30 too:D
Nobody likes skilllag but most of the time there is no skilllag so it’s a nuisance but not something that happens always.
Do your talking on the battlefield son. No one here apart from your fellow countrymens server gives a toot about “hey guys i got a bigger score than you”.
Wheres your guild tag in sig anyways Viking. I can’t say I can remember a single Tag from AM – like a bag of assorted chocolates never know what you’ll find in the next blob.
Well and we don’t give a toot about blobbing less or more. We just play.
Oh and it’s okay that you don’t remember the tags. You fight the Server not the guilds alone. You guys drop some nice stuff too btw.
Sorry but who are you to tell us how to play? Apparently we are doing something right because we are leading. If you dont like our playstyle it´s your problem.
Hope you say the same at Tier 3 when you get crushed by more people doing the same thing right… And i hope you get to Tier 3 soon.
Well that’s WvW: Sometimes you win sometimes you loose. I won’t complain if they kick us with their playstyle. Doesn’t matter if it’s the same as ours or a different one. Why should I?

But if we only have one visible commander the Randoms leave after a wipe(this is no theory this is proven numerous times). Also we got quite a lack of people who want to command so we’re lucky if we can maintain one commander at a time on homeland.
Nope splitting doesn’t work. At least for the non-TS-Players. They always run to the commander who has more succsess. As soon as one commander wipes once most of them run to the other commander who just capped a tower or stop following anyone. So that never really worked out in the past. Sad but true. While international servers have communication problems they have the advantage that because of their communication problems they are more into running with their guild. AM has only very few of these guilds that run their own groups.
Btw. I’m talking about AM here. Don’t know how things run on RS.

Well that’s the problem: You run with “your guys”. Our Zergs consists mostly off PUGs or people that are not in the same guild and often a large part of them doesn’t even join Teamspeak. Splitting most of the non-TS-Players between Commanders is nearly impossible because it’s already a miracle if they listen to basic commands. And even if we could split them it would get these groups wiped because these groups won’t have a chance against a coordinated group/guild of the same size.
This is what happens when coordinated groups(most of the time guild groups) start to farm randoms or not coordinated players. These players are left with 3 choices:
1. Get killed
2. Stop playing
3. Blob up and kill the enemy with numbers otherwise run and bunker into keeps
i think we’ll both agree that 1&2 are no option so we choose 3. Best example for this is Vizu. They started their massiv Zergs after encountering a lot of strong guildgroups. They didn’t want to loose/get wiped so they started to stack up. It’s not nice but it works. It’s not the most efficient playstyle(more groups of 20~30 people do work better if they are skilled enough) but it’s the playstyle that works for casuals/semi-hardcore players/players without experience.
tldr: Coordinated groups force casuals to blob to maintain some fun.
I guess it depends how many gvg orientated/guild zerg orientated guilds a server has. AM has only very few of them so we tend to play the pointgame.
Not everyone can or wants to play that organised or has the time for it.
Ah well times change a lot of stuff. Playing in smaller groups was okay till we encountered big groups and/or very organised guilds. Only solution was blobbing up. This is the evolution of WvW as a whole.Though i agree with you that /laugh-spam is poor.
That is the point… it’s a griefer(or two to be precise). Oh jeah and the guy who posted the video is supposedly one of the two griefers… So Just ignore him.

Our Zergs are as big as always. BL are as full as always. What changed is the number of active people on your side. Over the last weeks we lost a lot of stuff on our BL nearly every evening becasue some Ranik and FSP Zergs kicked in the doors. Some of oyur people suggested it is because of the event dungeon. Maybe, I don’t know. Weekend was always a strong part of our week and we always lost coverage during the week so i wouldn’t say that everything is lost for you or Ranik by now. Some good morning/nightcaps and either server can be #1 again.

Yeah this bug is really annoying. While it’s not deadly as long as you know about the bug, it is still very strange and disturbs/destroys the atmosphere while playing.
