As far as i see this is not the same problem. They talk about the 2 min timer till siege despawns when it is not build. But our problem is that our siege despawns while we are outting supps into it. Example: Our commander sets up a treb and we start building it up. WHILE we put the supps in that treb just despawns.

I looked for a topic about this but couldn’t find one on the first few pages.
At the Moment we on Abaddon’s Mouth have the problem that often while building up siege weapons they will just disappear. We’re 100% sure that there is no damage by enemies involved. We start putting supps into them and they just disappear. One of our assumptions is, that some players might be “infested” with the bug and when they try to build something the siege disappears and as long as they don’t build stuff everything works fine. We came to this guess becasue every now and then we can still finish a siege but 60-70% of the time it disappears. We couldn’t try this in a test environment as our zerg is to contains to many randoms that will build up siege too.
Anyone else observed this bug?
Woah this must be fixed/changed o.O. A plain upgrade should not come at the price of usability.
oh i forgot: “knock knock”
Well we aren’t “mad”. It was a close match anyway and we lost cause we didn’t push enough at the end of the week. And yes reset is a big thing for us. The reason why we run out of fuel quite fast is because reset starts here in germany around 1 a.m. for the last weeks and since summertime 2 weeks ago it starts at 2 a.m. so it’s quit hard for us to push a lot after some time. As mentioned above if you get spawncamped by any enemy just use the other exits. Nearly no server can camp 3 exits all the time. Oh and we aren’t afraid of you. We are afraid of Jade Sea because we played for 6 weeks against them when they started to rise. You just don’t have any idea how bad THAT was>.<. 50-60 Jade at night against 10-15 of us on a weekend and even less on normal days. Day was bad too. So no we aren’t afraid:)
Ok, so 20 of you FSP just bugged into Sunnyhill and then hell breaks loose with double FSP + Ranik attack at Hill and then both Servers with Omegas at Garrison. Hill seems legit but Garrison smells fishy and Sunnyhill was plain bugusing. Shame on those guys…
As i stated above we just don’t have that many organsied guilds.
Let me quote my rough summarisation from the last match thread:
Well, i hope i can explain it right.
There are nearly no pure guild groups most of the time(though there may be some small scale groups i don’t know off) on AM. The largest part of the “coordinated”-players on AM use one TS-Server with channels for the different borderlands. Most of the time there is one commander per borderland(because it’s easier to coordinate and also some commanders only command if there realy is no one else who wants or can do it) so the “coordinated”-players stay with him most of the time except for some small supplycamp groups and scouts, although we might split into smaller zergs when we have to defend multiple objects. This coordinated zerg automaticaly attracts the “random”-players that don’t use teamspeak because they just follow the commander most of the time(though sometimes we realy have problems to gather the people because they are all scattered and don’t listen to the commander which creates situations where we struggle to hold our towers and keeps although we have queues). This server structure realy has it’s pros and cons and things in between and this zergstyle definitely is a pro and a con at the same time with a con being that it may get kinda boring for our enemys.EDIT: That said it’s not a new thing for us. We play this way for a very long time i think. Before the cullin-patch you just might not have seen that the zerg was that big;)
So no most of us don’t have a problem with the current situation right now as far as i know.

I just want to thank Fort Ranik for the awesome fights on their BL tonight. You guys made some realy good defenses and you garrison was a realy epic challenge. Nice work!
I think the main reason why we on AM have more people is that we have school holidays/easter holidays right now. We might have some new players but i don’t think that they are a relevant force compared to the holidays.
It’s just becasue we rrreeeaaalllyyy love you;)
Just kidding! Burn them to the ground my fellow Abaddonians!:)
The only point you mention that is not opinion based is about lag. But that problem is getting less and less serious over time because people get better hardware and the game gets optimised more. I can play WvW with 80 vs. 80 zergfiths with my 3 year old pc with details higher than recommende and have about 25fps in realy big battles(with some rare 20fps spikes). Outside of big fight i have up to 60fps. So lag/bad fps are a problem but it’ll get better over time. Everything else you mentioned is opinion based and so there’s no right or wrong. It still doesn’t change the fact that a lot of people like 80vs80 and zerging in general. Nothing provides a better WvW feeling for me than laying siege to a keep with 80 players that is defenden by 80 players. It sometimes takes hours of attacks and counterattacks, a lot of siege and some good tactic to take a well defendes keep.
Please read the whole post. The idea is; even carebears hate 75v75 fights.
As mentioned in my post above: A lot of people DO like zerging for different reasons. Please don’t assume that everyone hates zergfights. Some people just don’t have the skill to fight in a serious small scale battle for example but zergs allow them to experience some epic fights and get them lootbags. I also like to defend a keep with only a few people for a long time and other parts of wvw. But without big zergs WvW would lack a part that i and many others realy like.
Yeah, we(AM) are quite happy with the currenct situation i think. I esp. like ranik-hill t3:D. We had a lot of fun at reset and with our raidevent from 16.00utc1 till 20.00 utc1. Nice fights with both of you so far.
But, but but…. i like Zergs!
Since last patch removed the culling it got even better. Right now we’re having a realy epic hourlong fight at an enemys BL. Zergsize on both sides is 60-90 with some smaller zerg defending important structures and calling for help when a big zerg arrives. We more or less played this kind of game for a long time in EU-Mid-Tier and it’s a lot of fun and we all get a realy big amount of wxp and lootbags. And everyone likes it on our server. Midweek slows down a bit in size and battle frequency but it’s still a lot of fun with a lot of defendingand taking points.
We like it:D

That was an awesome battle at ranik-bay yesterday evening!
Oh yeah that one…:/
Our side of the story(less epic):
Our defense force just finished taking all camps and so we decided to get some free supps with the outbreak event on UW and take the tower and we forgot to guard the keeps. We we’re half way through the gate of the tower as we realised that we lost garrison. So we rushed back to our BL and ran to Hills(I was the first one at hills and told the others the timer teleport timer)(so that single Necro who stood in the lord room->that was me). You killed me so all i could do was telling the others the port timer and lord HP and as the lord dropped down a second player from our defense arrived and stopped the capping process. The timer hit zero and the others were able to teleport in just in time.
So we made a mistake and paid for it:/

AWESOME! <-This word describes it perfect.
Yeah was a nice match although we may finish 3rd. It’s quite hard to compete against international servers cause they can make a lot of points between 7am and 3pm because most of us are at school or work. It’s not your “fault” but it still makes a difference compared to a match against another german server:/. Well, we’ll see how it will turn out in the next match.
Anyway FSP fails quite hard at AM Hill ight now O.O. We already thought that we would lose it… That was 45 minutes agoXD.
Oh yeah so now we have to force some people to guard the Keeps/Towers to make sure, that we notice a 24-Player-Zerg with superior rams or some golems because we won’t see the orange swords anymore…
And guess who will guard these tower: dedicated wvw players. Meanwhile the normal players still zerg around happily. It won’t stop zerging but it will encourage it because we can do a stealth attack with a zerg now!
I also don’t like the idea of WvW-Skills(i don’t like them since they were announced) because i don’t want so have a gap between dedicated WvW-players and new players(and i say that as someone who plays WvW a lot). In my opinion it shouldn’t matter how long you are playing WvW already. Everyone should be equal as long as he wants to help the server.
So i’m a little bit sceptic about these two point. I don’t have a problem with the other stuff, although the commander should realy be account-wide but i guess it’s ok for now…
Just my 2 cents
Our Alliance with GH failed when they betrayed aus and attacked our BL while we tried to siege Garrison the second time! THIS MEANS WAR!:O evil Gunnars aren’t trustworthy!
Aww, WvW is down:(.
Anyway nice fights on FS BL although we failed 2 attacks on Garrison:,(
Just happened: I could instantly join on our Borderland although 10 guys in Teamspeak had queues or got a “Borderland is full” notice.
This “new” culling is still as bad as it was in december. I can’t see my commander. I can’t the the golems that i shpuld protect. And i see fewer enemys than before. i prefer the “old” version. It’s also bad but not as bad as the “new” version.
I’m quite sure they got some transfers because we(abaddon) played the last 4 weeks against them and they were never that strong in numbers even in the Drakkar/Abaddon/Jade match when Drakkar were taking a week off and it was basically a 1v1. They pulled of some pretty big nightshifts every now and then but they never had this numbers.
Almost every server uses this kind of “tactic”. Arrow carts are always placed as close to the inner edge of a wall as possible(exceptions are arrow carts placed by new wvw players) and trebs or catapult are often placed close to the edge of a cliff to get the best range possible. Also i don’t think we should try to apply real life physics to the game;).
