Totally read “Unholy Quagginity”
‘GW2 isn’t WoW or LoL.
Why not? both of those game have a billion players. Its good to emulate them.
This sums up the problem with the game industry nicely.
ooooOOOooo
Quaggan likes this.
Signet of Locusts may longer be pooooo.
Well it appears I took a little bit of damage from that fall. Let me walk down these stairs…
No! The footsteps thing sucks when cloaked as a mesmer.
Minions appear to be deathly afraid of heights. They are also afraid of stairs. In fact, if there’s a hill they might be afraid that they’ll lose balance and roll down. Hell, a slight gradient in elevation on the ground will require your minions to wait until you walk up it to determine it is safe. There ain’t no way, ain’t no how that they’re going to change elevation to attack an enemy. On flat surfaces though, my foes better tremble in fear!
This is why I typically only use the few ranged minions we have at our disposal, they are fearless warriors that aren’t going to let any boulder, pebble, or tuft of grass get in the way of their attacks!
Okay, I’ll be sympathetic of the Flesh Golem’s fear of water, at least.
I would like a totem pole for a scepter, which turns into a “spectral whip” when swung, with the difference facets of the totem (heads, animals, whatever) held together by an line of otherworldly green glow. The user’s arm would appear as it does when in a “spectral” form (such as spectral walk) at all times, perhaps in a gradient strongest at the hand and getting weaker to nonexistent toward the shoulder.
Seems like when maintenance is going on I can still connect and play, all I get is a “Thanks for your patience, Server Maintenance is complete” after awhile when they are done.
This is the only MMO I’ve played where the servers are almost never down for long.
o.o
My guild is failing (on GW2, at least) because they all got to 80 and got bored. I’m pretty much the only active player of my group that still chills on GW2 (and I play everyday!)
I still play with them all on other games, but I think they’ll probably eventually come back after a considerable amount of perma new content is released, and maybe a few extra that didn’t want to fork over the 60 clams.
I think they really missed out on not coming back for the Halloween event, myself (and I told them). Best Holiday event I’ve seen in an MMO to date.
You just got copypasta’d.
When the support guy is looking at 200+ of essentially the same emails, they are all going to receive essentially the same email in reply. It’s just how it goes, unfortunately.
Attended (sorta, lagged out and such so I gave up)/no loot/got mail
Thanks ANET YOU DA BEST.
If it’s relevant I did the previous two events with only the issues that were plaguing everyone (borked scavenger hunt NPCs, ect).
“Kill…everything.”
It’s a shame you lose your foot step puddles from Sunrise/Twilight by making this though. Aside from that it’s nice.
Ah, on a mesmer losing those footies is a good thing due to them showing up when cloaked (unless something changed).
I’ve noticed low level area gatherables dropping heavily in prices…so I find this to be quite believable.
Where as there are issues that need to be fixed, and I think that more continuing content is mandatory, the state of the game is a good state, and I really enjoy playing.
I think the outrage in these forums is evidence of this. I feel that the “issues” that people get up in arms about makes the game look good, at least in comparison to every other MMORPG that I’ve played.
Coming from every other RPG ever and seeing what people complain about in this forum makes me think that GW2 is a very good game.
Triggered on ours, I got no credit even though I was there fighting the entire time (I coated my weapons, and used the lionguard gun). Splendid event.
There’s some nice looking Karma stuff too, while not weapons, my armor is fused to rather “cheap” Karma items because I like how they look.
Why not, what else are you going to do with your gold once you gear up with full exotics?
I think most MMOs have high value aesthetic items. Whether or not it’s “worth it” depends on the player. You won’t be any more efficient, you’ll just be more flashy.
Sometimes flashy isn’t without merit, however, considering the entire time you play the game you will be staring at the hindquarters of your flashy or not-so-flashy character, it’s worth is entirely up to you.
My beef with the Anchor risen that pull is that for some reason you deal a small amount of damage when they pull you, which breaks your cloak if you get overwhelmed and try to cloak away.
