Not trying to be rude or anything, i know it is a 3 way match up and you are a server down on your luck. So you take your achievements where you can get them. But saying you beat SF? Come on. You came in second by 50k points. That shows that you both at the mercy of the third server. When you lose by that much it is the largest server who decides who comes in 2nd and 3rd, by who they focus. Unless ofcourse you were ok with being crushed and just decided to play for second.

You have also had favorable rolls in every match up so far. That is to say you have been the lowest rank server in your match up everytime. Meaning it sucks because you will probably lose, but you have to do the least to score. Just show up and dont get completely shut out and you will get points. Because being last there is no server you have to beat by so much to score. Which both the second and first team have to deal with.

We came in 2nd with 50k points. Of course we didn’t beat you, we’re constantly outmanned. It has nothing to do with being down on our luck. We are always outmanned. We beat SF because you were able to take their stuff, but not ours. If you chose not to attack us, that’s your call. Either way, we beat SF. No one can take that away from us.

And once again, we are lowest ranked server every time. You were unable to beat us to the point where we lost points, which is expected of you.

So… yeah.

It has pretty much been said; why I love NSP and why I’ve stayed here for so long.

We have certain players and guilds consistantly in WvW. You see the same tags over and over again, because the players and guilds are dedicated.

Outmanned? Doesn’t matter
65 PPT? Let’s fix it.
Coverage? Not much, but we’ll still have fun.

We are probably one of the highest skilled servers as far as individual player skill goes. We have proven that time and time again. Every week since the match-up randomization started, we have gained points. Not just a little bit, but a lot.

We beat SF, who destroyed us a few weeks prior. We keep at it. Sure we might have lost a few guilds, but that doesn’t matter. Let them leave. The ones who stay are the ones that matter. We’re still strong. We are not giving up.

And why the hell would we?

Can you add a WvW suggestions subforum to the WvW section? Very few WvW’ers check this area, since they generally stick to the WvW area, myself included.

I know adding a subforum isn’t very hard, and this would help with
1) Separating WvW suggestions, as they differ a lot
2) WvW players will see the suggestions and be able to provide comments/opinions.

My name is Noroz, and I’m the leader of Artificial Strife, [AS].
Our home is Northern Shiverpeaks, and we are a well known and established guild, much due to our efforts in WvW.

We do have a schedule, and it is as follows;
(We don’t force members to do any of it, but they generally do what is scheduled, since they enjoy it)

Mon – WvW Night
Tue – WvW Night
Wed – Dungeon Night
Thu – WvW Night
Fri – WvW at Reset
Sat – Guild Missions and whatever is wanted (Most likely wvw)
(Unlocked: Bounty, Trek, Rush on friday)
Sun – sPvP night, with emphasis on individual skill honing.
(We occupy an empty server and practice.)

The sPvP night is still not properly established, as we just recently started it.
I mainly do WvW when I am on, as I have my characters geared anyway.

Our roster is currently ~150. The lowest amount of people I have seen online recently is 10-15, and that is at this time (EU morning/Late US)

We are a newbie-friendly guild. We have several people who joined at non-80, who we helped gear, build and learn their classes.

AS is a family. A big dysfunctional family who love to make jokes, make fun of eachother and have fun.
We are laid back, but when we do wvw, we are focused, and we do very well.

We are looking for new members to add to this family of ours.

We have a few rules and requirements.

- Have ventrilo for WvW and dungeons if you are new to them. (Mic not required)

- Representation is not a 24/7 requirement, but if it gets out of hand (5 days without rep) means kick.

- If you do not have AS as a primary guild, you will not be promoted.

- Be able to take a joke

- Do not be easily offended. If you are easily offended, you will not enjoy this guild. We have dark jokes, rude jokes and such.

- Be respectful. Even though we are rude to eachother, it is all in jest. We do respect one another, and we consider each other friends. And friends call eachother idiots, etc.

Well, you could take a look at NSP. It’s the server me and my guild call home. Zergs can become pretty big, but I don’t think 50 is something we run very often. We are active, but it really depends on what timezone he is at. Activity drops at certain times.

Guild leaders/officers/reps meet wednesday’s to talk aobut WvW how we have handled certain servers, guilds, etc. And we share just general info. (And of course, just mess around). On reset, the commanders will communicate cross-map by dual-venting. We are good people, yadayada, all that jazz :]

Basically, we need some more coverage and some more WvW’ers. We have a metric kittenton of PvE’ers, who, unfortunately don’t go into wvw :/

I was in the group. We got to inner garrison, Where we wiped. I saw the ADQQBsty(?) group, and even though some people chased, the majority stayed with golems. (There was no video of them winning, it just said “BTW, We won”)

If you like teamwork, I would say NSP. I for one, would love a big guild to come join us on NSP…. We are in t7, and the only thing keeping us from higher tiers is coverage and manpower. Extremely talented players, but you know how it is when you’re outmanned…

This is about population issues.

Due to the recent “free transfer to medium sized servers” ‘thing’ that happened, there was an obvious shift in balance for WvW (at least for my tier). This is coming from the side of a server that didn’t receive any transfer.

We are a very high-population server, but only a small fraction of us participate in WvW on a regular basis. The match-up in Tier 7 was relatively balanced, but due recent events, has lost its balance.

Some may say that population is not all that matters in WvW, and you would be right. But it sure as hell matters a lot.

If a medium server receives two WvW guilds with 50 members, it has a significant impact on the balance. It seems somewhat unfair to the servers left out of this, as server population has extremely little to do with WvW performance.

Also, the addition of points to the T8 servers is a bad way of fixing the imbalance. Once again, due to WvW population participation, the server that recently jumped up to T7 is absolutely destroying the two other servers.

There was an outcry against this earlier, but I honestly think what is needed is what was suggested/planned after the free-transfer ended;

A complete wipe of all points.

This will fix all imbalance, in a matter of weeks, rather than having to deal with this issue of servers being stuck with certain servers that are completely different in population.

O stop whining and just deal with it. Yes, ArenaNet helped many servers with the free servers and also by manually pushing SF out of T8.

Guess what? It’s your fault SF ended up in T8 in the first place. You knocked them down to Tier 8 gave them several weeks to buid up their morale and numbers via a string of victories. Now they’re back in T7 and you’re crying? It’s payback time.

I missed out on most of the night tonight unfortunately. I had other things to deal with. I have yet to be impressed by SF. Haven’t run into any very good players. Though SF does seem to have the bodies to put out there. However, I think this weekends population is artificially high. There’s probably tons of people coming out of the woodwork on SF, FC, and ET. It may go on for the remainder of the week. I would like to see how things turn out during the week and a week or two down the road. Oh, can we have GoM back now? Is there any room for custom guild emblems, or at least expanding on the ones that are currently there?

As it is now, it is very limited as far as what you can create. It is either already taken, or it is dull.

Is it due to the fact that there is a risk of having offensive emblems?

I would love a custom one for my guild, as I have yet to find a logo I am happy with.

Hello everyone. I am Noroz (Vi Britannia), leader of Artificial Strife on Northern Shiverpeaks.

We are a guild who are now ~70 players who still enjoy our time in GW2. We are a PvX guild, but we do a lot of WvW. We have 3 commanders, and I teach my members how to run as a group and not only capture points, but also wipe the enemy.

Since we are not too many members as of right now, we are fortunate to have good bonds with several of the guilds on Northern Shiverpeaks. Because of this, we are able to call in help with whatever we may need, such as guild bounty (which we have unlocked), or in World Versus World, and dungeons.

We are all helpful and we only have a few requirements.

- Represent [AS] is not obligatory except for when we are running WvW together.
- When working together, be on Ventrilo (We have a server)
- Be respectful

If you’re going to saunter into the forums and throw down an accusation like this, you’d better come with pics, and specific instances of what you’re considering a concerted effort to take advantage of game mechanics in an unfair or unscrupulous manner. You don’t want to call out guilds – that’s fine and honorable.

However, for you to leave an accusation of hacking and exploiting at GoM’s doorstep like a flaming bag of dog poo and then run away with a giggle…that’s just poor form and reeks of bad sportsmanship.

That’s why I am posting it.

2. As far as sportsmanship goes, someone is feeding GoM information, so that’s out the window.

All you’re doing at this point is causing trouble. If you’re not going to be forthright with examples of cheating/hacking, then – at least to me – it’s appearing to be a case of sour grapes.

If you honestly think (and have evidence to back up these claims) that a guild is engaged in active cheating/hacking…report it with evidence to ANet. Coming here and making these claims without anything to back them up is making you look like a forum troll.

They believe they own the server and dont understand that peeps play for fun and that they dont answer to a certain guild. When you here things like APPROVED Commaders, you just want to laugh. They get upset if you put your commander tag on in wvw because they afraid pugs will leave them for the other commander, i stated if you are so good pugs will follow you no matter what other commander tag is on. Pugs followed them in the past because that was there only option. Certain attitudes need to be fixed here b4 NSP can get better. God i hope they can open upen server transfers for free for one week because i dont see things getting better here for a long time

There seems to be a bug where when two people have put the same item into the guild bank, it can’t be stacked unless taken out into our own inventory, stacking it and putting it back in.

Just a heads up.

NSP has unquestioned primetime domination, usually followed by long periods of fail. Let’s be honest, NSP primetime performance is the only reason we are still in this tier. BP and AR groups typically don’t stand a chance during this period, regardless of their size or guild affiliation (even when they massively outnumber NSP pug teams). At the end of primetime, NSP loses everything and comes back to AR/BP holding all of their stuff the next day.

NSP is a fair-weather server, and as soon as things start to go bad, everyone logs off and goes to farm PvE. A lot of our “best guilds” won’t even bother to take a tower or keep while they’re on. Sure, we get all the kills, but that doesn’t mean anything.

Meanwhile, I check the forums to see the score, and see posts from (insert guild here) saying how great their guild is and “What if we actually tried to earn points by taking stuff?”

Unless NSP gets more all-weather players willing to do boring jobs like run supply/upgrade/defend during off hours, we will continue to be the third place server. AR and BP win because they are better organized and have some form of real strategy beyond badge farming.

Doesn’t really matter though, I have a lot of fun in WvW regardless. (It would be nice to see less QQ in this forum though…)

I thoroughly agree with this. And I admit, if the weather is completely kitten, I’d rather prepare my guildmates than try to take back our stuff.

However, since [AS] is relatively small, and as the Guild Leader, I feel I that weeks like these are weeks we should use for preparation. I don’t know, but I assume other guilds are doing the same, simply because we don’t think we can make that much of a difference. Due to this mentality, I think we lose a lot of the presence from the smaller WvW-centric guilds.

For [AS], and other smaller guilds, I think reasons/mentalities are;

We are not that many.
We have several non-80s.
We have several players who are not geared.
We will be more effective next week, if we have more 80s and geared players.

This is not as much of an excuse as it is explanation.

Someday NSP will get tired of following others coattails and try to take objectives themselves. Maybe then you won’t be last every week.
Every week its the same BP attacks ARBL, then NSP shows up, BP leaves, NSP leaves. AR attacks BP, NSP shows up. NSP never leads the way anywhere except to last place.
If a place is fortified NSP avoids it, if a place just got taken by AR or BP, then NSP will show up to cap a paper tower left behind.
It’s truly sad and quite pathetic.

That is about the… (let’s not get posts deleted again) rant I’ve seen. It happens on occasion that we choose to hit a paper tower, that’s far from what we usually do.

NSP doesn’t follow a server who has just hit something. Some people may do so, but myself and the people I run with, we choose to hit something because it fits the timing.

However, if we are in a BL, and I see a tower which happens to be paper, why wouldn’t we hit it? Not taking a free tower is kinda stupid.

On a different note, [AS] won’t be present much, as we are mainly training and gearing our guildies :]

Earlier today (night), I decided I wanted to push my guild’s influence towards 20,000. So I used the little gold I had to get some more. This was fine. However, I wanted more, so I decided to sell a bit of my crafting mats, and ended up with a solid 8g.

After I went to pick up my money from the TP, I went back to Nafni. (I am still on my server, no overflow).

It seems that even though I’ve bought influence for ~8-10g, none of it has gone to the guild I was representing at the time. I have noticed a severe lag with the guild tab, and I can’t help but think this has something to do with it. (I managed to invite a player after this incident, so the only effect I see is on the influence)

All you need to know is SekZ > every guild on NSP.

I think [Sekz] has proven to better than all guilds in this tier. If they have their numbers, they can wipe every effin guild in a heads up fight, including the ones on NSP. I’ve seen them wipe zergs from both AR and BP.

That’s great and all, but you realize that AR just went into NSP bl and took over everything while we spent forever with 3-4 commanders on their EB keep at the end? We could have taken 1 commander and ended the NSP bl takeover but nah. Oh yeah, and everything but SM, our keep, and a few towers is now blue in EB.

tldr: AR took NSP bl while NSP struggled at AR keep in EB and then AR retook EB when NSP left.

Bottom Line: NSP barely really ever had more points than ~1 borderland in all of the ‘domination’ and didn’t really get to upgrade anything. AR instead possibly wrecked some upgrades in NSP bl while upgrading stuff in sleepy BP’s bl and then PvD’d all of NSP’s EB stuff.

Just to clarify; pushing AR keep wasn’t started by us. We decided to wipe BP. Not to throw blame around by naming, but yeah. That wasn’t our call.

You’re a commander so at any point, especially when it was taking a long time at AR keep, you could have taken ~20 people to NSP bl and spent 15-30min to protect the points and retake >1 keep. Cmon bro, 1+ uncontested keeps and towers or 1 densely guarded keep?

No, because I didn’t have 20 people following me at that point, and I untagged and logged after trying to take AR keep for a while. I called it out in /t when I noticed we lost hills, but there was no reaction. Either way, it was a good morale boost to hold that much of EB.

Hey guys.
6 months ago or so, I started playing with someone. We never really exchanged any information because we didn’t need to, as we had VoIP and we were online at the same time. I (obviously) know his userID, but I don’t know anything else…

Thing is, he hasn’t been on for 3 weeks – a month now, and I’m really worried. He used to be on daily. Knowing if account is banned (I don’t know why it would be) would certainly help. I do assume if this is something arenanet doesn’t do, but I’d like to find out.
