Double up everything in guildhall will not even compensate this. You can now scribe 25-50 pieces of the same cost as 1 old.

We want our gold/gems back.

I agree with OP, and this is gonna be my goodbye to GW2 if Anet don’t compensate all the tons of gems we have bought to create guildhall.

My first suggestion were that Anet doubled up everything already crafted in guildhall, but that wouldn’t even be fair. We want our gems/gold back.

Well, since guild decorations is not owned by 1 player, but by the guild itself, no player will benefit from this if Anet decide to double all guildhalls already crafted decorations. So I can’t see how this can open up for all sort of cases where players want refund.

My main suggestion was not to get the money refunded, but for Anet to double-up all decorations already crafted in guildhall. I assume that is not that big of a deal to code that.
I know it may be too much of a work to start refund mats or gems to people.

I’m amazed by the intelligence from people in this thread. So bright and clever, and Miku could spot that once the real money are converted into gems → and then into gold = it’s not real-life money anymore.

Just make it simple as I suggested. Double-up everything crafted in guildhall.

I don’t get why people react with hate towards my question to Anet. I have not at any point said I was forced to buy gems, or that Anet forced me to build in guildhall.
This forum is for questions, and my question were if Anet had considered any compensation regards such major changes. A simple question, and very fair in my opinion.

Well, nothing were never announced or decided regarding lower the price on scribe/decorations. Rumors circulate about a lot in the game, but had I known this, i wouldn’t have used so many rl-money on this.
I have played this game since start, and I don’t complain about changes in prices (that’s just how the game is) – but this time I do feel I have been robbed, if Anet don’t give some sort of compensation in gems-return or double-up on already created decorations.
So stop compare this to changes in wood-planks and silly stuff.

I’m happy to read that Anet have decided to lower the cost of scribing/guildhall decorations.

But,
What about those who spent way too much money on this already?

Idea:
Give the guildhall double-up on all decorations crafted before this was announce (1st April).

Alternative, players like me who have supported you in this journey and bought 30.000+ gems and converted them to gold over the past months to be able to level scribe and fill guildhall up, – maybe give some of those gems back as compensation?

I wanted to craft us some more nature in guildhall, and went for the “hedge”. 450+ gold later and extra money used to speed it up because I was impatient, I get this!

I could have made 10+ big huge nice griffon statues for that cost.

Now this little ugly hedge have to have a special place in guildhall so that we all can remember to “enjoy” it each day.

Any news for fix on this bug? Had it today again, and several times last week (however, the weeks before last week were fine).

The total World completion should be everything, apart from WvW.

Let people get their normal World completion as it is with the old maps, but make a extra reward and new icon for players with everything unlocked.

I have played GW2 since the beginning, and the guard have always been my main, and the only class I enjoy playing.
However, all the people I know, never goes for a guardian in their raids, it’s not the “meta”.

It’s very confusing, all of a sudden not to feel for any use. And I don’t want to play other classes.
So I’m not doing any raids, which is a bit sad.

Yesterday, I got hope. I heard that they found a way for 1 guard to be a little useful – as supporter for the Druid.

Is this Anet’s idea to rule out certain classes?

Same issue, the bar is now showing only 5.820, and stuck at lvl 29

I think there are something in that special area. The other day after a few tries, I started to get lower frames when I did the adventure.
It was playable, but not smooth. I guess it’s the only place on that map I have had that. As soon as I left the area everything turned normal again.
(and I had no internet-problems).

Tsk, just use better materials to build with. That’s what happens when you go the cheap way! :p

Same here, and I think it began less than a year ago. Before that time, I never had this issue in the game. It is very annoying, and it seems to port you to the beginning of the map.
I have all my alts on the flax farm in Verdant Brink, but very often I find the character standing at the first waypoint you reach when you get to the map.

Maybe you are right, that it has to do with that volunteer-thingy. It would fit with the time I have had this issue.

If you run all the way down after the killing, you will get the update on the bridge, or just after.

I finally managed to get in, but as soon as I wanted to change map, i got dc’ed again with the same internet connection error message.

Same issue here. I have tried to log all my characters in over the past 45 mins, but I get the same network error.
The forum is very slow as well.

As a little guild, it seems almost impossible to grind all the mats needed to upgrade the guild hall.

What is the cost for guilds below 10 players had less cost in materials?
And if the guild later wanted to increase in numbers, the guild would have to pay the difference for bigger upgrades (so it’s not being exploited).

Would also have been nice to get all the influence spent back (and not just some of it). Bigger guilds don’t feel this pain as they have gained most of the influence just by events, but I have solo build the guild to max in the old system, by buying influence for gold. Had every single upgrade, and then maxed everything that could be build. meaning like guildmissions are easily 300 gold not returned, plus all the rest.

I calculated that the total cost were above 1.600 gold spent in the old system. And now just wasted.

Maybe I haven’t looked enough into it, but I have spend around 1.600 gold on influence in total to upgrade everything in my guild. But now you can start a new guild and be on same lvl? like all this is not needed anymore?

Crap, I were so happy for this update, but the more I look into this guild-hall, the more it just seems useless and too much of a grind. Not made for little friend guild for sure.

I have just started to look into this guild-hall thing. i spent so much gold alone to max all upgrades, including max possible guildmissions. And now they are gone or what?

Thank you Anet for an amazing launch of HoT. It all went so smooth, and no server downtime.
I love the new maps, although I have only seen a very little part of it yet. I just find myself gliding around, spotting little secret caves or tunnels and “The Forgotten City” in Auric Basin is stunning. Makes me feel like an India Asura, on hunt for new mysteries.

I normally tend to find guides online for new achievements, but this time I just wanna explorer it all by myself, step by step.

Now we just need Super Adventure Box! haha

Have had this problem since wvw-reset last night.
After about 10-20 tries of loading the client, I sometimes success to login. But then my loading screen ingame get stuck, and nothing happening.

I use SSD harddrive for this game, and normally my loading screen ingame are very fast. I have let it try to just load for a few mins, and sometimes it let me into a map.
And if I get in, it feels like I’m playing form a 56 modem, skills not responding.

Edit: Some people seems to not have this problem, is it an area problem?
I’m from Denmark, playing on Vabbi.

Error code after trying to enter a map is: 7:11:3:191:101

Still same problem, seems to be mostly in the evenings at the moment.

I have had same issue past days, I keep dc’ing, getting really bad lags, and it’s only in GW2 I have this problem, no where else. Unplayable

haha, ya… I hope they just can return my money. I better wanna use them on something else than this, and besides, no time for it anymore as vacation is soon over.

But no a reply to my problem. This is simply just bad customer-support.
They take the money within seconds, but after 8 days no real person have looked into your problem apart from an auto-reply.

Well I bought those games from GW-site, and after trying to creating user, I get to the part (you are almost done, just verify your mail) and the link in my mail takes me to a site that has vanished in the mist or something like that. I have now sent several mails to GW1 support, and still no reply. This is simply bad customer-support, and I don’t even want the game anymore as vacation is over, so just want them to resend my money (and still no response). But they were quick to take money from my creditcard and send me a blanket with my product.

:/ what a lack of service. They want our money, but don’t wanna give support!

Here in my holiday I decided to buy GW1 (after being playing GW2 for more than 2 years). I bought for around 50 Euro’s, and then the site from where you have to verify your e-mail doesn’t work. I have now waited for a week, and no reply from customer-service to my problem.
Now I just want my money back as my vacation soon is over, and still no reply.

Is this how you wanna run your business?

Anyway i took one of the mesmer portals and worked my way back from the boss room, but doesn’t change the fact that the event-chain is bugged,

I need to enter Font of Rhand Portal in Diessa Plateu, but the event keep stopping when we are at the escort “Help the Night warband reach Incendio Templum” – they just stop in the middle of it and don’t continue.

Don’t know if this bug is due to all the farming on the boss itself, with portals from the back.
I just wanna enter to get the “Water of Rhand” item for the Mawdrey.

ok thank you, but I’m not sure if I asked the question correctly. I mean, will all my guild-upgrades follow me to NA servers (made on EU like they do after the new megaserver update).

Since the changes a few months back with megaserver and guild-influence (so you can transfer between EU servers and still keep guild-upgrades), does this also apply between EU and NA?
If I wanna transfer to NA, will I keep all my guild-upgrades made on a EU-server?

3 new bugs

1: on the skillsbar for utility skills etc., it only shows as “not in combat” even if I am in combat, but I can’t change the skills. It have always been that when I entered combat those little arrowes above the skills would vanish and couldnt be changed.

2: Got a new kind of bug where I get stucked on siegeweapons and canons/oil/mortar. The old bug have been gone for a while (where you got stuck after building a siegeweapon) but now I got a new bug. All day I have been stuck after I refreshed siegeweapons.
Even if I enter a cannon to defend with, I sometimes can’t shot with it and can’t leave it either (only way is to WP, but if I’m in combat I have to close the client down and restart), doing emotions doesn’t help. I get the error that I can’t drop bundle in the air or something.

3: My timer on the minimap is out of sync (a few mins only) with the timer on the chat, never saw that before. I don’t know if it’s a local problem from my own pc?

Same, no chest here, most of my guildmates already got.
Seafares Rest

For some it helped to enter WvW and then change maps, but I have been in WvW most of yesterday and today and haven’t got anything yet.
Been on the server way before the season began, and I have all my achievements done.

Same for me, past week or so I get a lot of dc and also these huge lags where the screen freezes for 15 sec and looks like I’m gonna crash (and either I crash or the game return). After waiting for Teq today 1½ hour and then at the end of the fight this happens, makes you wanna play something else than GW2, just a waste of time.

Was told both outfits recently were out on gemstore again, but I missed it, so seems not just for Halloween.

Do anyone know when or if this will be in gemstore again?

The past 2 weeks after an update in GW2 I have started to crash in WvW. And Only in WvW.
I have read this thread and they different solutions, and I have tried to delete the dat-file, and I don’t know what to do.
Never had this issue before.

My computer is:
I7-core 950
WIndows 7, 64-bit
3 times x DDR3-1333 Kingston 2 GB
SSD Samsung 840 EVO 250 GB
Nvidia Asus GTX760 2 GB OC
HDS 1000GB Seagate SATII 7200rpm HDD

My Internet connection is: 60/6 Mbit and I don’t have any packet loss or internet problems.
