Sword for leveling is very squishy. And not everybody likes to be a Melee. I am very pleased with the leveling build, though there are 2 different ones of them.
Ele may be an AoE class, nevertheless their single target damage is superior to ours in many ways. We have to do it another way… and it works, but not in lower levels.
The other problem is that Wildstar is also owned by NCsoft. Where is all that NCsoft publisher money gonna go if Wildstar suddenly becomes a bigger cash cow than GW2? Certainly not into Anet if that ends up being the case…
Wildstar won’t be a bigger cash cow than Guild Wars 2. Mass appeal, known brand and quality vs. a new game. I highly doubt Wildstar will sell more than 1,5-2 million copies.
I am leveling a Mesmer right now. It’s a tough battle with motivation and missing lust to level.
I used 10 scrolls to boost up from 30 – 40 because of the lack of fun I had with this leveling part. Now I am 55 and it’s more fun.
The problem is, without a good leveling build and bad equip you can do nothing. Veterans, maybe 2 mobs at once can be tough, if you are playing a bit wrong. With 55 and a quite nice leveling build ( army of clones + cripple ) it is so easy to go for 3, 4 mobs at the same time with GS & staff. It is a HUGE difference. With “my” build leveling up from 50 was horrible. With the new build it is extremely funny and quite easy. Nevertheless some veterans are still tough and you need to move a lot – I don’t know why. Mesmer isn’t putting out that heavy damage until 80 I think. My Ele did 2-3 times more damage at once and it was far more easy – Staff, Arcane Wave & Meteor Shower – 6 mobs at the same time EASY.
It would be awesome to hear or see some videos from heavy Mantra using builds.
Anybody knows some of that?
This x 1000. We need Ritualists back, along with Cantha. And playable quaggan race.
They could scrap up Cantha if only they would give me my Ritualist.
Unfortunately I think we will never see Ritualists due to the fact, that the Engineer is some nasty perversion they made out of the true Ritualists ( or their mechanics ).
Orpheal, your ideas sound great but that is way too much I guess. New race (for free?) and 3 new maps in one patch? And all the other stuff? Hell, with that you could fill nearly a whole expansion…
Then the 2 other parts of the skill will be useless.
They just should get rid of part 2 or add a condition component.
2 & 3: block & confusion skill in my assumption.
I don’t know how to select the ANet posting so a simple question:
What is the official statement from ANet regarding Cantha?
I like scepter because of 2 & 3. 1 seems to be quite slow for only generating a clone. What about giving proc 2 of skill 1 a condition like poison, bleed or confusion?
That was off the top of my head runeblade, I have no citation for that. Though it really would be awesome.
Then don’t mislead others.
What you made up is not what Anet promise.
What did ANet promise?
So, the “feature patch” should come nearer and nearer…
But when is the big question. I highly doubt it will be March 18, won’kitten
Furthermore I am just extremly curious about the things ANet’s going to add, especially this features.
I think we can expect at least one new zone, maybe a bunch of the as Mordremoth slept underneath Magus Falls. But more? …
Some kind of Raid-Dungeon would be great to see I think.
Hey there!
I really enjoy the story of Guild Wars, from part 1 to part 2. Unfortunately I missed big parts of the LS due to not playing GW2 for months.
I read the 3 books GW2’s got and that’s not enough. I want more…
I forgot big parts of GW1 story and I would like to know it again – the same thing with GW2 story.
Digging into the wiki is nice but EXHAUSTING. Reading article for article for article despite not knowing if I read everything or I missed something… yeah.
So is there a compilation, some kind of “book”-style document or something like this with which I can refresh my knowledge?
What the…
There is a complete Wiki-article about Mordremoth… http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mordremoth
So, never knew that so much of the story is known or has been released. Now we know Scarlet looked for the jungle dragon which she found and helped to awake…
He slept underneath the Magus Falls… so I guess we can say that there will be at least one new zone in this area, won’kitten
Hey there!
I really enjoyed the plot with Scarlet, the Aetherblades, Lions Arch and everything with it.
ANet has left us a quite nice cliffhanger with a big space for speculation. So, everyone of you who saw the video, what do you think were / are Scarlets ambitions and goals?
As seen in the video, she wanted to interrupt the ley structures to awake something… but what?
Is it the deep sea dragon? The jungle dragon? Where you think will we go next, where will the dragon emerge to the surface and offer us a new, destroyed landscape to explore?
How will ANet continue with the LS?
A lot of questions.
I want to know YOUR opinion and thinkings about whats going on and what we will see… soon.
Time for speculation and for sure time for facts, too!
You can go into the wiki and read everything about it.
To replay every LS would be great but I fear that will be an unbearable amount of work for ANet.
I am very curious about the thing underneath, Scarlet was looking for…
Maybe they should just give EVERY class a new weapon.
Would be nice if they come up with Ritualist or Derwish. But I fear they will never do that…
A magic class without light armor would be nice.
I don’t know but there is a huge amount of active players right now. Few weeks ago when I returned I thought GW2 is quite… empty. But it isn’t. Hundreds of players attaining the Lionsarch event and grouping in Gendarran-Fields.
All of this. Infact, looking at Elite skills shows that every class but Mesmer is able to trait to affect at least one of their elites. Fun times.
That’s what I said.
Every class except a Mesmer can do it. Why???
It just would be a logical step. Don’t know why 3 of our 3 Elites don’t have ANY skill-school we can take influence on with traits.
Other classes got 2 elites which they can effect with traits…
I know the new heals, thanks. But yeah… two new heals as you mentioned.
I thought the thing with the elites was a fake – or only the new elites have been wrong?
Maybe they just should revamp some traits for this topic a bit. I think there are many options for Mantras.
I love ANets kind of humor used in GW2. It is EVERYWHERE.
Asura… lovely.
Thank you for the answer.
Nice to read something about it. I just thought about making a Mantra-build but yeah… as mentioned here, there is none regarding the fact that there is a “wider” symbiosis missing with them. Just filler spells.
Would love to see more Mantras like MoP. Maybe some kind of Elite-Mantra would be great for the playstyle. Something like:
Mantra of Conditions
Applies burning, confusion, poison, torment or bleeding to the target. ( at least 3 of them that there is this “Elite” factor )
Mantra Mastery
Charges your equipped Mantras instantly.
I don’t know. Something like that.
Is something known about ANets will to add new skills?
If you know a meta build for pve with them, do you mind posting it? Haven’t found something like that.
Hey there,
I just wanted to ask what the hag ANet wants to cause with our Mantras.
Are there any viable builds out there with at least using two or more Mantras? Is anybody using them?
While I really like the idea of this spells the reality looks quite depressive for me.
So, can anybody help me and clarify the “use” or “sense” of them?
Thanks!
My mistake, sorry.
The trait procs for every of the 5 Arcane Power stacks. At least with Fire & Burning, tried it few times and it worked well. I mostly use it with Meteor Shower… lol.
Guys you saw the video after killing Scarlet?
I guess you can await a new zone or new zones in the Northwest of the continent after the evil from underneath will escape to the surface.
Your playstyle is insane and majestic.
You’re my hero, thank you.
So if you’re Ele has got every damaging condition except poison, what “uptime” can you generate with your build / Sigil setup?
Maybe you can make an overview of your character using this and explain it a bit more detailed?
If they are going to release something, they should do it right before March 30 ( TESO headstart ) or after the first month of TESO when most people realised that it’s just another stupid floppy game.
Is the Asura skill necessary? As I wrote I thought about the Reaper as a Human. And it fits very well with the D/D playstyle as both are short range skills.
They just could give some Air spells the confusion condition. Our air based spell distract people why they don’t confuse them?
Seems quite simple to me. For PvP confusion is extremely good if the players are just dumb buttonsmashers.
Same with frostbow. This weapon gets us condi damage but only has ONE skill with CD for bleeding? Why not another one, confusion?
I like your idea of building some kind of Mesmer-Elementalist.
Thought about something else with Reaper as a Human.
Would you mind describing your playstyle / goal with this build a bit more? Would love to see your aim for this in a more detailed way.
Thank you
