Why disable downed state? What about all those spectacular finishers available? PvP is a good place for them.
1) Glory should be rewarded to both the winning and losing team (more to the winning, not in hotjoins), and should be spendable on any weapon/armor skin I want, at an appropriate price, and that skin should be transferable to PvE / WvW.
Ohh yes, THIS. Exactly that + new game mods ofc! Agreed and aproved. You got my blessing.
1. Game Modes. Self-explanatory
2. Further balance / Skills / Class build variety (kinda all linked)
3. Rewards ( I’d like to get my favourite armor skin faster, like in Gw1, without grind…)
Just some tokens or gold or just something I can trade for armor/weapon skins as easy as it was in GW1. And new GAME MODES! (sorry couldn’t resist)
Completely agree with Zeno. I just can’t comprehend why you guys turned away from all those modes we were given in GW1.
1. HA (though I didn’t quite like it) was very popular.
2. JQ – sooo many people enjoyed it just as I did
3. FA – the greatest of them all, soo much to do and so fun. Never got bored with it.
4. GvG – the ESSENCE of this game, it’s roots. Great fun for smaller groups.
5. RA – not as fun as those above but at least one of the possibilities
6. AB- least enjoyable and, ironically, the only one that you actually promote in GW2. However, the AB (conquest type, for those who didn’t play gw1) in Gw1 at least gave me Faction Points I could spent on some rewards + I helped my faction broaden the boarder.
You are slowly doing a pointless seppuku by focusing on and forcing others to play ONE BORING spvp mode over and over again. Please wake up and don’t be afraid of coming back to old but succesfull ideas.
Also, as many of us have said, we want to give players enough variety such that they can change what they play from time to time, while also being sure that we don’t fracture the player-base by spreading players out to too many different game types.
If you realy want to give us a variety then don’t be afraid to do so. Otherwise you WILL fracture the player-base but on the more general, video-game level (they will choose other games to go for a better pvp) rather than withing your own game.

Hello. I realize that perhaps not everyone liked Aspenwood Fort but from my point of view it was one of the best pvp modes (aside from Jade quarry, which was great too!) and it would be great to add such a mode to spvp in GW2 (under different name ofc).
Playing in Fort or JQ gave me a sense of purpose. In case of Fort: defending it from enemy players, killing their siege engine (big turtles in that case), running for amber to quicken the construction of mighty weapon or to reinforce the gates that hold the enemy, while at the same time defending EVERY npc in base becouse EVERY npc mattered a lot. THIS is a type of entertaining pvp I was so enjoying in GW1. It was 8v8, no lags (like in wvw) and with a reasonable punishing system for leavers.
I was hoping to see something similar to Fort or Jq in Gw2 but no…. Instead, we are given a simple pvp, with mindless running in a circle only to capture vital points, in which combat is actually a secondary and only-if-neccessary goal. No wonder people get bored after some time….
Of course, you might say: “You got WvW for such things” but:
1. Much much more people participate in wvw + it’s a huge area = lags
2. Many people do not have a PC good enough to lift it.
3. It’s not as well balanced in terms of equipment as spvp.
Solution: Why not implement, let’s call it “mini wvw” to spvp? 1 team attacks an object and the other defends it? + 2 optional spots to capture/defend that would aid you in the main objective. Max players: 10v10 + some npcs.
Any developer willing to tell me why was it not done this way or why is it a bad idea?

I’m not sure if such a topic already exists but the more of these the better. Could you please make the “infinite watchknight tonic” spamable? In other words, so I can use it after it ceases to work? I would love to look like a robot while playing engineer, but constantly and not only for 5 min and then waiting another 30 (that’s not fun) :-/
Hello, I know such topics already exist but I still wanted to create my own because the more of these the more possible for devs to realize the problem. At first, I wanted to say that I appreciate almost everything Anet is doing for us, good job.
Still, the end-boss fight was really disappointing for me, though there were some pluses as well. I really liked the epic soundtracks (all hail great Jeremy Soule) and everything along the way (fighting the lesser dragons and spawning Zhaitan minions was quite fun). Then…. HE showed up. Big, nasty, magnificent, powerful and challenging. That is what I’ve been thinking at the beginning. After a while however came the dissapointment, 1 shot from a big gun that, in fact, barely scratched him also made him look like a helpless child when he was pinned down on that wall hanging like a king kong. I was telling myself “Maaan I hope he is not done yet. I wanna see some action!” But the only action thereafter was shooting him (spamming 1 button) while he remaind idle….. WHAT?!?! This is the end-game boss? That’s NOT fun at all.
Of course, I do understand that such enormous creatures cannot be combated directly but rather through some siege engines or turrets but that was just laughable. No aiming, no pressure, no adrenaline, no fun…. I could kill him while blindfolded. PLAYERS should be the ones shooting him with those lesser laser guns (after he got wounded by this big nipple gun).
I can only hope that other dragons will be more challenging and interesting to fight because this one is a misunderstanding.
