But yeah, we were really lucky there not to be spotted. And oh yeah, Im waiting for the next week too. I wonder if it will be as even as this one. Its gonna be christmas so I suppose a lot of peeps will be off for couple of the days.

I just want to thank and congratulate all three servers in this one great match up. In my WvW career I have not seen as good match up as this. Lots of fun everywhere and the servers don’t seem to be having anything negative towards each others.

Lost a garrison in your border? Not a problem, we lost it becouse the other team out played and now we just have to take it back. And we had fun losing it. Thats how great match up this is.

I like to thank Far Shiverpeaks for all the nasty tactics and an overall good presence in their home turf. That place is kinda hard to invade sometimes.

Ring of Fire, kitten it guys. Your own borderland is pretty much in control of Far Shiverpeak and yet you come and take half of our border. That sounds crazy, but it seems to work for you.

Also thanks for the fellow Underworld players for giving me a really good company to play with. Its nice to play side by side with the fellas I have seen around from the start of my career in WvW and also new faces everyday. Defending Hills with some other chap against 10+ invaders, no problemos. Almost lost it, but him and I held it until reinforcments came in and we finally could push them out.

Its one great match up and Im more than happy to do it again next week. See you all in battlefield, were you on my side or not Im more than happy to play with you all.

I may assume this thread is not about the WvW Kill title, as that is basically the only one that is possible to do.

Compare the two achievments, 250k WvW kills and 1 Million Yak kills…

WvW Kills grow in trees, you just watch from the wall of tower and you get kill per min. With yaks on the other hand, 2 yaks per camp per 5 min and the fact that you have to have your head deep in their territory.

Or even better, Yak escort, that is 500k yaks escorted to a tower/keep.

And Realm Defender, that is 2,5 Million supplies used. Im pretty active WvW player and I have around 30k supplies used. I still need to play 83 times the time I have already played to get that achievment.

Some of the achievments are just unrealistic to get. Even if you would be farming the said title, some of them just takes insane amounts of time.

PS. At the current state. They dont really show who actually is good at something. They either show how good you are at farming (if anyone ever happens to get one of the titles) or you have just killed a ton of people in WvW (I don’t see killing being anything special as you can get them fairly easy by just giving everyone a kitten slap in the face and then watching as your teammates do the rest).

I did check the watergate and it was fully intact as I entered there and it’s not easily forgotten by me, it’s usually one of the first I checked.
Inner was fully intact when I entered thered and there was nobody else of our server around that could’ve repaired it. Yet sitll it could be a timing issue or something so you get the benefit of the doubt.

Did you check the wall %? As we did bombard the inner wall for a long time. We took it out with only one treb.
And yes, it might have been timing. But we were kinda long in the water gate also, but we started to take it out later when treb had already shooted the inner for sometime.

We also marched to lord right away after the inner wall went down.

Must have been bad luck on you when you didnt spot us. Better luck hunting us next time

Even though you state it’s not everyone and I appreciate that, it’s still funny that you still call out a server and not a player.
More funny because the first time I ever spotted cheaters in wvw since the first BWE was last night a group of 5-6 UW players at keeplord of bay with both all outer and all inner walls intact (we were scouting the outside because it had the crossed swords on the map for some time so I checked every side before heading in), I was the Asura you killed, the only defender showing up inside.

Then you didn’t check well enough. I already explained couple post upwards how we did it, but here goes tl;dr edition for you.

1. Treb in Vale Refugee shooting Inner wall
2. Catas to take down the water wall
3. Men inside and stay low till inner wall is down also
4. Rush Lord

Water walls are so easily forgotten as they are not used often. We also had ballistas and carts in Vale refugee, wich should have indicated that we are planning something in there. Treb shots, I don’t know how you missed them as they fly high on the sky.

Next time you start accusing us for cheating, check water wall, ok?

Peace out, there has been some glitching and stuff already happen in this match up. I suppose that is one of the reasons why we tend to accuse each others so easily, but I can swear that this was not one of those cases where anyone cheated.

PS. You called out server as much as Frussy did. You both stated the same, “a group from <insert server> cheated”. Also, its hard to call out any players as you can’t see their names. And calling out guilds is even worse as large guilds tend to have bad apples amongst them.

PSS. Let’s try to keep this on the subject. That is complementing each others and sharing good moments. Not shouting out “Cheater there and cheater here!”. We all know they exist and they annoy us ALL equally.

Our Bay assault pretty much started because Confunda said “Lets treb bay, because we can” and so we did. Took the inner wall down with a treb and catas for water wall. Not a bad siege for around 8 – 10 guys.

And the defending, oh that was fun too. Thanks for all the participant on all the three sides.

Theres a small learning curve in WvW and one the things to learn is dont ram the wall. I think I did think about ramming a wall down in sometime when I was starting to play and I think its very valid way to think, because if you think about it they did use rams to take out walls waaaaay back in time. Anyhow, the description does tell you that it can’t hurt walls, but in combat you dont have time to read nice lil descriptions, you try to think solutions

And lets take this talking back to the the point where we complimented each other and so on. Not mocking each others, or bragging about ourselves (you can brag, but try to give a compliment to the other team too, so it doesn’t sound so self-centered)

Now that the whining has been whined from my part. This matchup has been FABULOUS! Seriously, what a great matchup. I haven’t had this much fun since… ever (except that one time when I get laid, but I ain’t gonna get laid anytime soon so…).

Lets keep the good fights rolling and lets dance on each other dead bodies to honor the enemy. For Middle Earth!

On a new note tho. Thanks to RoF in our border we kinda paniced. My thanks go especially to [NP] Night Pact for the fun. Taking our Garrison and all.

But the wierd part was that the Garrison was not contested when I heard in my VoIP “Garrison Inner gate under siege”. Like my whole bunch of friends and I could waypoint easily back into Garrison. And when I started my futile try to build that one ballista the waypoint was still available and you were bounding the gate? Did you guys notice that it didnt go contested?

Fair fight anyhow. Thank god we finally got you all out, maybe you went to sleep or something, I don’t know :P

The WP opens up on each reset of siege event. So every few minutes you have a few seconds to port there.
On the other hand I have also experienced times when Garrison RoF was under siege and we could still port there. Bug maybe.

The UW Blitzkrieg was purely as punishment for you medling in us fighting with FS when FS had 3-400 points each tick. Seems like you only swooped in when we where sieging FS elsewhere. Legit opportunitism but it came with a vengeance ;o)

Heh, you got us when we had pants down. But it was buggin or something, becouse we could portal in like we want. It wasnt that 1 second window becouse it was available when I came in, then when I ran into supply depot it was still open and when I died it was still open. Also there was no contested mark on the keep itself.

I do understand you did the old good guerilla tactic where you dont trigger the battlemarker on the map, but still, wierd. It was a good fight tho, and you were kind of a pain in the kitten there

I didnt quite get what they were doing? Capping supply limit? Or are they making so much siege that you can’t build anything?

But yes, we (Underworld) dont promote any action like that. Fair play is fair play, I keep playing it even if the enemy goes dirty. And I bet FS has the same mentality.

I would also like to point out that we do report our own guys too if we see them cheating. Lets hope the match stays fair and stuff. I have seen some other stuff happen, but my posts seem to get deleted so I wont be speakin about them.

Anyhow, lets try to have fun and clean match, so far it has been that for me.

Now that I look the picture a little bit closer I don’t see any form of cheating in it. It is a treb in lord room that shoots through the hole in the roof. It looks like a good spot for a treb and it can be easily taken down with ballista or arrow cart. I see no problem here, but thats my opinion.

Underworld seems to have a lot of men fighting for now, when the time is good for us. And when it starts to get hard and we are on 3rd place we lack men, a lot. But I suppose this is pretty normal for us in the low tiers.

And about the outmanned buff. Everytime my forces are outmanned I say to my fellow defenders “They might be more, but that only means we gonna get more LOOT!”. So, if you see a kamikaze hammer warrior jumping in the middle of you when you outman us 3:1, thats most likely me.

Anyhow, about that invulnerable exploit in (vale refugee I suppose) camp. It is pretty much some moron individuals who do that. Just report, like you did, and get over it.

I don’t think those guys read the forums much and I have no idea who are doing that on our own server as I have never seen any UW player do it. I do believe some of our guys can be doing it, no doubt about it. After all, every server has players like that.

And thanks for all the fights. I haven’t been much online lately, but every time I have, there has been some good fights going on in either our own border or on somewhere else.

Aye, lets talk about the matchup here.

The reset was pretty interesting from the start. We as the Underworld heavily reinforced our borderland to kick out any bold invaders who came there. Little bit struggle there, but it all ended up well.

After that GuM, CtRt and some other couple guys went to venture on RoS Dzagonur border. I hope we gave you some fun time as we captured Cliffside from you and build some siege to defend and then Trebuchets to bombard Garrison

Atleast it was great fun on our side, we were having a blast even though we got stomped on the end.

Anyways, lets keep up the fighting spirit on this matchup and have some more fun times. Big cheer for all the three teams equally!

And about gang-bangin; You two Gunnars and Drakkars have attacked our BL’s both keeps at pretty much at the same time, so we should be shouting about the alliance!

Just kidding, most likely either of you guys have had scouts around and when you have seen that we are having a huge fighting going on other keep you rush into the other, basic tactics.

You can take our towers and keeps, but you aint taking our spirit to fight. For Pink and Glory!

Sometimes when everything seems to go as bad as possible etc., etc., one might start to think about stuff like that to get some reasoning behind it. But no, we have made no pact with the devil.

Drakkar is hitting our border often with masses of people, I suppose we can scratch up people up to defend it and sometimes it goes well and we only lose south towers or only one keep, then sometimes it goes really bad and we pretty much lose everything.

But like everytime, it looks like Drakkar just vanishes right after it has done what they came there to do, so it is pretty much free running around the border to capture back the lost points. Around ten or so invaders might stay behind, but at that time we usually already have over thirty person zergs moving on the battlefield to sweep the map back red.

And I suppose Drakkar sees you guys a more of a threat than us so they keep hitting you more than us, who knows. But there is no pact or deal or alliance or anything.

Dam Drakkars, thats one kittened up luck >.<

Summary of what happened:
3 Golems siege on water gate of Garrison. Around 10+ invaders. 6 Defenders. Just when they broke through, pretty much killed all the defenders in lord room. BOOM, a new build for WvW and we get kicked out. We come back and repair the gates. And Drakkars never came back, only couple of them wandering around the border.

Yeah, we used the advantage, but I do not think anyone else would not have done the same.

After that we pretty much recapped the whole border back with five guys. Some ele was keeping us busy, but we managed her and the guards.

I had a lot of good fights and fun today with you both in our borderland. Lets keep it like that, shall we? And I don’t care if we lose this match-up, as long as I know Underworld and I have given you something to remember.

Hehe, that was a good fight alright. We were actually planning a portal bomb right to top, but your wall repairing messed that thing up totally. I was not patient enough to wait until you stop repairing the wall so I ordered them to rush in, and thats what happened.

Also we got a situation inside Garrison and without wiping out there we might have lost it as Drakkar was hitting it with 4(?) golems total, but we repelled that.

Thanks for all the nice fights, and maybe on this match-up I can meet this slaughterer you all have been talkin about, heh.

PS. What did Drakkar and RoF like my try outs with portals earlier today in UW borderland? Atleast we stopped a lot of Drakkar sieges with them and a lot of men got a good practice of them. Im pretty proud that we did them and succeed in it

Well first of all, you do earn influence to your guild by defending as there is the defend event that is going on all the time. The thing is, it is bloody hard to earn a gold medal out of it.

First of all, if you destroy siege and repair and build up more siege → No reward for you at all.

Secondly, if you keep shooting with siege on enemy and suppressing them like hell, not actually killing much but doing tons of damage → Bronze (just becouse you killed 1 or 2)

So thats pretty much what is problem with the defense event. Its really easy to get the gold medal from capture events. You can enter the ring on the last second and get the gold medal out of it. I have done this a lot of time when I see a camp is being captured (I haven’t involved to the said capture by any means, I just arrived there), I just quickly get into the ring and tada, I get gold medal.

If it is so easy to get gold medal from capturing, why is it so hard with defending? Surely if you keep repairing the walls and making siege in the vicinity of the keep/tower/supply camp, you should get a reward. You are involving to the defense.

And to that influence gain for guild if its being defended. Well, why not, as long as your guildies are inside in it. Becouse if that is the situation that the guild gets influence, it would mean that guilds just rush in to claim it without a though. Atleast on non-organized servers. And if you actually need guildies to be defending it to get the influence then it kind of nullifies the defense event already.

So the fix here should be actually the defense event for now. Showing the tag of the owners would be nice too. On map it would be nice, but its needed atleast on Banners when hovered over. Even if its enemy you should be able to see the tag.

Kinda long post, but thats my thoughs about it

Underworld is last at the moment, but lets hope we can catch up a little bit during the week as it has seem like we do a lot better during monday to friday than on the weekend.

I will not myself have much time to play as I have a lot of projects going on that need to be finished, but I hope you guys enjoy the match a lot, I know I would. Last night was pretty interesting in Underworld, I loved it :P

We finally got enough men to push you guys back in Hills and flipped it over. Seemed like atleast half of Drakkar left the map at that point or earlier. From there we went for Gunnar’s Lake tower that was very heavily guarded, but we had a lot more men so it eventually falled.

After that we had pretty long fights infront of it. But we asked the [GuM] to take the golem back way in to the Bay and start smashing those doors while we kept both of you guys busy near Lake-Briar. After the gates were pretty much down we ran to Bay and took it over in a split second.

I lost my pants during the fighting near Lake tower. So if you saw a pantless commander running around, that was me :P

For first this sounds good, but it would wreck WvW. Supply camps would be used for only resupplying players, dolyaks would be pretty much forgotten. Taking out dolyaks would be useless and to drain a keep/tower out of supply would mean that your team takes and HOLDS all the supply camps on map.

And on the subject of the topic. Well, you need to try to educate the players. Not much else you can do about it. If you see someone taking supplies from you tower, try to tell them nicely not to touch it next time as its needed to upgrade tower.

Actually, the jumping puzzle is pretty useless since it only rewards 2 plans and a dozen or so badges for 10-60 minutes of work depending on activity. You can farm the gold for 2 alpha siege golems easily within 30 minutes…

But can you farm the gold for it in WvW? I assume not. I am one of those guys that hangs around our own borderland even if we have it fully capped. The jumping puzzle is free 3 blueprints (considering that you get tokens for it too, and I use them for blueprints) for me. You see, Im one of those who stay and defend our own border and give information to our attacking commanders etc. if the enemy presence is starting to grow to something we can’t handle alone.

And for the record, it takes me around 6 minutes to run to jumping puzzle and port back to Bay/Hills, somewhere and continue whatever I was doing.

It was an intense battle gotta give you that. But we were running like headless chickens again, heh. After a while we managed to get a lot of guys to stack up and rolled to tower (for good this time) and took the camps and pushed you guys back to spawn.

And have to give it to you. [PI] and [BM] were giving us hard time, heh. A Good fight indeed.

Oh and this time we got the info about the golems about 20 mins before the assault on the tower, so we had scouts planted all over the lake and stuff

It seems to become a really close week, and I like it. Good battles everywhere, towers and keeps trading owners, etc. And mad defending, thats whats best.

And RoF, we just took one of your keeps on your turf, nanana. Just kidding, it was pain to get. At our end it was total chaos. But we managed to get it anyways, even with inferior tactics.

I haven’t been on EB lately so I dont know what has been going on there, a lot of domination for us was happening earlier today.

Good to know. Next time I see ICON guildies in our borderland I start yelling “GOLEMS! GOLEMS EVERYWHERE!”, just to be sure.

And even if you are outmanned most of the time, you pull some nice tricks on us. Hopefully we have given and will give you other pain too other than zerg festing ;P

I have had a lot of fun with this matchup. We as the Underworld didn’t start quite as good as Dzagonurs, but we are doing good now.

I haven’t been on much of the other borderlands than our own, but there has been a lot of action too. You guys are giving us a hard time on our own turf. Seen some nice action there, like those 5(?) golems of RoF (I think it was RoF, correct me please if Im wrong here) that were deployed and took our garrison. That was a surprise attack to the max guys. We had all of the points there at the time and yet you guys went straight away for Garrison. That was a pleasure to experience, and I think we learned something valuable from that ;P.

But yea, I have been having a lot of fun with both the teams and thats why I cant allways recall who it actually was. You are both bombing us with some nice attacks that we are more than pleased to counter, or atleast try to.

Yes, gotta straight up that OP post, it was indeed Gunnar that took our keeps and the trebus we wrecked. And it was also Drakkars border me and the two lads were having fun on.

But I blame you Gunnars for keeping me up so late with your siege that I got only 3 hours to sleep and I wrote that post on the morning!

Hopefully Underworld can have a come back next match when the fractal grinding has decreased a little bit and the guys are coming back to WvW (I hope). We are most likely gonna drop down one tier now, but we gonna fight hard next week to rise back to have a rematch with you guys, if you havent risen in ranks :P

PS. Becouse of your trebu placements near cliff that night we learned a new weak spot of Cliffside and are now more prepared with it. Like one UW player once said, ‘If [GuM] holds Cliffside on our own borderland, we have our own little Helmsdeep’. So come and try to breach that tower :P

Anyhow, it has been very nice match even if we are losing, but I have been having fun a lot. Like last night Gunnar** came and took our keeps in our Underworld border, you guys gave us hell. That garrison cap was pretty fast, I didnt notice anything, but I wasnt really paying attention at the time (shame on me).

And afterwards we took out 7 Gunnar** trebuchet bombing Cliffside with mortar and two trebuchets of our own. I hope we made you atleast lil a bit angry ;)

Also, me and two GuM guys had some wierd fun in Drakkar** border when we hold the Quarry supply camp against tens of guys for quite time.

Lets keep the match like this until the reset. We need more good moments like that.

Gotta agree with this man here, Drakkar and us Underworld are pretty even. Although I give it to them that they can establish some pretty impressive attacks, like yesterday in UW Border.

Next week is going to be fun after the weekend as I know UW wont have much presence as its the event weekend and Invite your friend so most of us will be there. We are a PvE server after all.

But I will be holding ground in UW Border, so come there to face the wrath of my hammer if you dare ;P

Indeed, gotta be proud of UW. Our communication has increased a lot past these couple of weeks and people are working together to achieve stuff. Feels like people are making more initiatives and not just waiting a commander to show up on the map.

Its definetly going to be an interesting week with us 3. Even us, the underdogs of Underworld, are giving you guys some resistance.

Yesterday was really interesting day in UW Borderland and we managed to hold it to us, even when there was both teams pressuring us from both sides. Drakkar did give us harder time, but Aurora didnt slack around either.
