Would be kinda awesome to see these available in custom arenas. Variety is great—even if you don’t feel the maps are optimized for the highest level of competitive play.

Just had a game where an entire side crashed on inc at keep on Nifhel—but only one team. Understandably ruined the game. Was this a known issue or is this another feature of today’s patch?

I’ve had a few people inquire, but I do mean it when I say committed. We typically run weeknights 8:30-11:30 est and then Saturday afternoon for the tournaments.

Since we became disgusted with ArcheAge, we’ve returned to GW2 and have had a hell of a great time. Several of our members want to set up a dedicated tournament team, but we need players committed to playing and practicing every night. We had a couple solid recruits, but work has hampered their ability to play. Alas, we need folks who will be online for practice.

We’re fairly flexible in builds and group comp. Honestly, if you’re an elite player with whom it’s fun to roll, we can make it work.

We’ve been together since 2003 and have played more games than I can recall. Joining us would give you an elite team in this game, and also a future home for other MMOs.

Oh, if this helps anyone, here’s the specs on this machine. GW2 has run FLAWLESSLY up until today which has me kinda miffed.

Starting today, my game is now locking up for a “stutter second” when I bring up the scoreboard during gameplay. This has never happened before and I have no explanation. Anyone else experiencing this?

Would it be possible to implement a feature to choose to lengthen queue time for an optimal match-up? Perhaps a toggle? I never really cared before, but I’ve be seeing more and more chat like “sorry this is my fourth match.” Now, I can’t prove that in any way, I can only take that (and weaker play) at face value. I’m not trying to contend that I’m any great shakes or master of the universe, but I’m hoping I’ve put in enough time to move up the ladder to the point that there shouldn’t be brand new PvPers in my ranked games.

There’s certainly times I absolutely want the fastest queue possible and I’m all in for whoever/whatever populates the match-up. But there’s other times (like my days off) where I want the most competitive match-ups.

I have seen this reported by multiple people, many have success simply by switching characters. Since Tuesday’s patch, my dailies have not and will not reset by character switches or relogs.

Like I said, I’m not looking for “most” guilds. I want a hardcore group of skilled players.

My crew isn’t actively playing GW2 for the time being, so I’m looking to see if there’s any hardcore groups like us who are still going strong.

Here’s what I mean by hardcore: No more than 30 members, most members log on every night for 3-4 hours during EST primetime. Members WvW with an emphasis on havok squads—not zerging. Members like to do sPvP paid tournaments. Active voice chat, preferably TS3 since Mumble is horrible and Vent is outdated.

If you might fit the bill, hit me up in-game as Permafrost or here on the boards. I have four 80s and all crafts but huntsman, so I’m incredibly self-sufficient. Just looking for some like minded players.

@Daphoenix You have a lot of great posts which obviously unfold over the course of the past month. I’m trying to sort through all the links… did you post what gear you use in Wv3 anywhere? The build calculator you’ve chosen to use only hits the sPvP armor.

I have been staff, but I’d like to swap to D/D so I’m really curious as to what Armor/Runes/Jewelry you’ve settled on for the open world.

Dang man, I thought you found a solid group? Anyways, you know we’re always around to see if you fit into our scene.

I kind of love how absolutely terrible my guild would be in an alliance with yours. Not saying that to offend, but we’re just about your Bizarro Doppleganger (minus the fact that we’re elitist so we’re small as well).

We’re a tight-knit PvP guild that started as a side project in 2003 and turned into a full fledged guild when some of our members departed the Combine, one of the most respected MMO guilds of the previous generation. GA was built by (almost psychotically) long-time DAoC players of the 8v8 scene on both ToA and Classic rulesets.

We’ve been putting a hardcore effort into GW2 and we’re mainly focused on all PvP aspects of the game. In WvW, that means small-group combat in the open world that will hopefully be the true successor to Camelot. You’re never going to see us zerg or voltron it up, but you can count on us harassing those who do. We also participate in the structured tournaments as competitive action in all forms is our bread and butter.

Overall, I try to keep a pretty distilled roster of the most-skilled and most enjoyable elitists with which to game. I don’t mass recruit nor do I keep a large roster, but I always like it to be known that people who fit our specific group are welcome to apply.

Fair warning: We absolutely love to give everyone a hard time—guildmates, opponents, chat trolls, people in vent/mumble/TS, you name it. It’s just how we roll. If you can’t handle that, we’re definitely not the scene for you.
