Isn’t it because it isn’t the same bug as it was 3 month ago ?
It’s because this bug only affects male characters.
Major disclaimer: no promises, no schedule, etc… But if you were daydreaming about what you personally want for your sylvari, what would it be? :} What would its presence feel like? What style? What materials?
I’d like more faces that actually look menacing or alien-ish (like the bark face from the male Sylvaris). For both sexes. I don’t make female Sylvari because they all look too cute or nice, I’d love something more like the bark face. When it comes to chara design females in MMORPGs, I always have the feeling that the designers want to make them look pretty at all costs, and it bores me : Yes, yes, it’s cool to have cute women and most people are going to choose those faces, but please, add some variety, and give the players the choice to also play some scary, menacing looking female characters !
Also, can you please add Trahearne’s face to the character creation ? Pretty please ? :‘p It’s not like he’s unique anyway, a lot of Nightmare courtiers have the same face.
Also… for the hair, I’d love some dreadlock-looking vines/lianas (or even long reed plants ?) for male and females, AND longer hairstyles for males.
My dream Sylvari would be kind of like an hermit, “roots” kind of guy, with dreadlock vines and clothes made of torn leaves. Yeah, torn up leaves, because I think it’s a bit restrictive to only have perfect looking clothing. The Asuras have a torn ear choice at character creation while ears are supposed to be something really appealing for them, lore-wise, why couldn’t I play a Sylvari with torn up leaves ? Plus, I think a mohawk would be awesome with torn up leaves, the actual one there’s for the males looks too clean for me. :’p
So yeah, to makes things short, what I’d like is :
-More alien-ish, menacing faces (like the bark face)
-Torn up leaves for hair and clothes
-Dreadlocks and long hair choices for males
-Add the NPCs faces to the character creation (Trahearne, etc)
As for my dream Sylvari, I made this picture.
Long reed dreadlocks + torn up leaves ! :’p
Ree: Other races of the world see the sylvari as odd for many more reasons than simply their sexuality – the issue of same-gender love among the sylvari is no more strange to, say, a norn than the fact that sylvari bleed a type of sap and not blood. Other races have a history of same-sex relationships, but those relationships tend to be downplayed and not lauded within the culture. This is not to say that the races of Tyria are naturally homophobic; they’re absolutely not. It’s simply not particularly common.

Apparently the bug is just affecting the male characters, I saw a Sylvari female with his OoW armor, and she had no ugly red on it.
Still waiting for the fix.
Guys…
We can already fly. Have you forgot the ride broom ? ;D
Here’s a Sylvari Swimsuit pic for your Calendars. =3
Room service !
New tatoos and the two new moustaches/beards :

The Norn women also get a new tatoo.
I’m surprised there wasn’t anything about this in the patchnotes.
Sadly it’s just new features for Norns, I checked if there was anything new for other races, but no.
Well, at least now we can get that moustache. It looks so fake it’s awesome. :’p
Thank you !
In my case, yes, the armor has been transmuted (downgraded to fit on a low level character). It’s been done a long time before the last update, though.
Apparently it’s only on Medium armor (or maybe it’s just that only people with a medium armor complained), and only with the legs, chest and foot armor, yes.

This thread is actually quite old, the issue was resolved back then, but it reappeared with the last update.
Another thread for the recent issue has been made, can you please post there if you’re having the same problem ?

I just checked the boots, apparently I’m having the problem with those too.
Can you please submit your messages here ?

There’s a lot of different posts about this issue, but I think it would be easier to get some feedback if we all post in the same topic.
I didn’t see there was already a thread for that. :’p ( https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Issues-with-Order-of-Whisper-Armors/first#post2283343 )
So… same problem for me, but with the armor.
Please put back the 4th slot for the color on the Order of Whispers armor, or put a color that’s more discreet than that horrible red on it. It’s actually quite hard to make clothing look good with flashy colors like this.
Since today’s update, some parts are now bright red.
There used to be 4 customizable colors before, but now there’s only 3 left, and it’s not possible to change that flashy red color, which is really annoying, since I didn’t buy the cloak with that color (Actually, I wouldn’t have bought it if it was red like that since the beginning).
Here you can see the difference, with the same character. The cloak is supposed to have the same colors in both, but the second screen is what I’ve got since the last update.

Apparently, it’s the same for some other parts of the OoW armor, like the shoes.
If you have the same issues, don’t hesitate to post some screens as well, thanks.

I don’t know if it was made on purpose, but he’s also the only Sylvari ingame who’s got the face with the stamens (stamens are the organs capable of producing pollen).
I never saw another NPC with his face, so… yeah, maybe it isn’t relevant at all, but eh, what if he was born from some kind of “male” counterpart of the Pale Tree ?
Yeah I know, I have silly theories.
I support this thread, though I think we should request uninstanced districts/homes for all capitals (Rata Sum, the Grove, etc…). Roleplayers don’t play only humans, or in Divinity’s Reach : in Jade Sea server, there’s a LOT of active Sylvari roleplayers in the grove, and also quite a lot of Norns in Hoelbrak.
I’d like uninstanced homes/districts for other races too, it really annoys me that those beautiful/interesting places are just used for the personal story while they’re so good for roleplaying.
The chest after my team beat Noll just disappeared in front of us at the moment one of the players opened it… No reward for the rest of the team.
We only see Nightmare courtiers, but nothing says that all Nightmare Sylvari are actually from the Court.
I always thought that those pirates could be either Soundless or Nightmare Sylvari who didn’t want to join the Nightmare Court… or even “normal” Sylvari who enjoyed the idea of a pirate’s life without Ventari’s Tablets and stuff.
^Dat glowing stick.
So… yeah, as you can guess by the title I mostly draw Sylvaris.
Here’s Synis Tia, a friend’s Mesmer (The face isn’t much based on what he looks like ingame, but more on how he describes his character while roleplaying).
And also Amynarmëh, my kleptomaniac Sylvari who loves “shinies” a bit too much. :’p
I’m totally with you, Faowri.
I don’t care much about girls having sexy clothing that wouldn’t be useful at all on a battlefield, but I wish I could have sexy clothing on males as well, and I wish sometimes I could wear some pants instead of just a dress/mini skirt/string/sexythingiewhatever on my female characters.
So, yeah, more outfit design choices would be great.
I use 3 and 5 for my male Sylvari. I play on a French server, and I’ve never seen someone else with the fifth face, actually. I don’t like it much without changes, though, but if you play around with the sliders during the character creation, you can get some kind of “evil smug kitten face”, which I really like. :’p
The 3 is my favourite, that bark face makes me think of some king of alien-ish creature.
I don’t play female Sylvari because their faces look too cute/human-ish for me.
Thank you so very much !
I’m a roleplayer from another community, and I’m quite new at GW2 (I’ve only been playing for three weeks). I play a Sylvari and an Asura, but I was annoyed because I couldn’t find a good guide for Asura Lore, so… thanks again.
May I suggest that you submit your guide to the guildwars2roleplay website ?
(Sorry for the broken English.)
