ANYWAYS, reading all this has just made me love DB that much more. Our guilds work great together! No complaining about someone doing “their own thing”. We understand everyone has their strengths and running with the zerg might not be a part of that strength. I would encourage all the new guilds to see this and not begin the drama that is apparently in BP.

Mindless zerg is just their style, we all know that. At least we no longer have to placate them to get along with everyone else on the server. They don’t know what a favor they did all of us here on Borlis. They lost most of their better players to other guilds on Borlis.

Anet has been my favorite opponent. Almost everything they did cut across the grain of what was actually needing done in WvW. To this day they have not taken care of any of the most pressing issues facing WvW, servers or players.

They are easily the toughest fight all of us can face as a group.

Everywhere you go is just a giant zerg of DB.

I’m completely fine with supply being carried around between maps and even across servers. Supply isn’t difficult to get anyway — just go to any camp on the map (even if you need to flip it first). Supply is an infinite resource.

Since players are unable to deposit their supply into keeps and towers it isn’t as though there’s teams of people granting more or less infinite repairs and siege for defense. Camps constantly spawn new supply for players to use and Dolyaks basically spawn free supply for keeps etc just by reaching the destination unmolested. I like that supply is readily available and all over the place.

I know this post is messy sounding but I don’t feel like putting much effort into it, sorry.

Supply is not infinite. If you had 60 people drain a map, it would be TIME before you got more. That is a finite amount available.

Yes, we have a strong Oceanic presence, also I would like to reiterate that the NA presence is building stronger as well. The coordination that I have seen on this world compared to the others is second to none. More often than not, I see several guilds… all from Borlis … attack EACH OTHER in the forums… makes no sense to me. I used to play on Borlis… so much drama, they were all so busy typing and arguing in game and on the forums, no wonder things aren’t being accomplished… No offense intended, I’m just calling it how I saw it.

Plok it’s obvious that you did not read Caliburne’s post. WE had been with DH from the very beginning and stuck it out through thick and thin. WE tried everything in their power to unite the server, but you can lead a horse to water but cannot make them drink. We respect all of those from DH that have fought, laughed and facepalmed side by side with us and hope that they consider possibly joining us. There comes a breaking point for everyone and many of us have reached ours. To call us “fair weather players” is a very unfair remark.

To those still on DH as I’ve said, we respect you and your decisions to stay on DH or go somewhere else since the server is dying. We just ask the you do the same and respect our decisions. We wish you nothing but the best in your future adventures.

You stick it out and build it up, find some sense of community there.

It is with great sadness that I want to announce that Win Everyday(WE) is moving from Darkhaven to Dragonbrand. We’ve been with Darkhaven since the release of the game(three of our commanders are among the first ten on the server), we have helped build up the server since the DHU alliance tore the heart out of Darkhaven’s WvW forces, we helped again after Darkhaven reached tier4 and was destroyed. But the situation for Darkhaven’s organic WvW scene is worse than ever before. After the DHU fiasco Darkhaven had RE, GoF, SE, HoT, HVN and WE ready to step in and rebuild.

Now? GoF is gone, SE is gone, HoT has more or less retired from WvW, HVN has folded, RE is leaving.

This would not be crippling for Darkhaven, if it had another group of guilds waiting in the wings to save the server. But it does not. I’ve watched closely, putting hours into WvW every single day since release. Guilds like Omen, DRoW, SoS all had potential to really aid Darkhaven’s WvW scene, but none have reached critical mass, and each has somewhat withdrawn from WvW.

WE have tried the alliance game. We’ve tried the server-community website. We’ve offered a public mumble to everyone on Darkhaven. There has been little to no response. We’ve coordinated and communicated with anyone and everyone on the server who are willing. And the vast bulk of the server doesn’t care. Their version of WvW is simple. Enter WvW and ask, “Where is the karma train?” If there is no karma train, leave WvW. Defend? Not a chance.

And we’re done trying. It isn’t worth it anymore. Darkhaven is a PVE server at heart. BURN, DHE, TRA and others all have hundreds of members, and have little to no desire to do WvW.

To that small band of loyal fighters(those who respond to defensive calls, and leave the karma train) we’re sorry to abandon you. Silverback, Skap, Togochubb, Lokii, Flint; Omen, DR, PD, EXE, PaK members, and a few others I’m sure I’m forgetting. We’re sorry. You guys all deserve so much better.

WE like working with you guys, and hope you’ll consider coming along to Dragonbrand.

That shows me nothing to work with to even see if it was people in my guild. When was this what time? I was on a good portion of the evening, and would know if a thief /ele combo was on. Next time please target them so we can see the guild name.

I was out of town for meetings at the reset. I just now was able to get online for the first time and I see this Bullkitten on top of having our guild bank emptied by someones account being hacked. You talk about Wvxmas, you have no idea, we have like nobody online from major guilds alliance with the exception of a few.

After leading early last week after reset for more than 40 hours over four days to see us lose was heartbreaking. And after coming back to this bullkitten after a couple days away, looks like ill be enjoying my holiday season too.

Borlis Pass is plagued with this, last count we have some 80+ commanders. the ones of note can be counted on a pair of hands and few toes. My guild purchased my commander for me, as I was the main leader of our group in another game.

To another point sometimes i am quiet in chat for various reasons. Voice chat, spies(legitimate concern) or I have just done to much that day and cant deal with typing any longer.

A few players? The screens we showed had a good 50+ some you could not see. In addition most major guilds and the alliance were represented in those screens. This was not newbs following with lack of knowledge, this was a wide section of established guilds players CHEATING! Plok knocks you from that high horse, hey just like in game.

You’re just not used to playing against servers with even mediocre respectable populations in WvW. BP has had more players in one area today than I’ve ever seen in a zerg so far playing this game. Saw a 30+ BP zerg walk by, and then within 10 seconds another 30+ BP zerg going the same direction. And the amount of rendering issues going on tonight was insane.

My guild (active memmbers 35, active WvW members 15 avg) transferred here from SoR. And i’m sure BP got many many many single transfers here and there. You might not notice any new guilds on this server other then Ascension[WAR], because all the larger guilds on this server, absorb guild-less players with their very active recruitment spam in LA.

When Ascension[WAR] Transferred to BP from SoR, BP was not in a winning shape, but it did have one thing that we were very impressed with. It’s playerbase that did WvW, though small at the time, would listen to anyone willing to lead. I lead ad a visitor to the server on my level 8 lowbie thief as a test run on the server. And was able to retake everything we lost from GoM, and push to SM while all having the outmanned buff on us.

We fought in the lakes for 3 weeks before things started to get to much in our servers favor, and GoM and AR stopped showing up to the fight. We can’t wait to be the underdog again tonight.

Sure make it sound like you had a huge deal with us getting better, when you from the start wanted nothing to do with the server organization, do your own thing every week, that results in very few direct point collection. Ok lets look at this logically. Anet built all the terrian in the game. they designed mesmer portals despite many people in the community saying its ripe for exploit or uses not intended in game. People in the game use whats in the game to the best of their abilities and get called cheaters. If you made an awesome build for your character no but you will get called cheater but all you did was think of a skill combo that the game designers didn’t intend in development. Alot of times these builds are nerfed which in the case of whats going on if Anet doesnt like whats going then they should fix their game. Dont blame people for using the all the tools they have. Blame the designer for not planning for the obvious.

In the picture Plok posted, I see… a bunch of people attacking a wall? So? It looks like a wall near the water gate of garrison the borderlands area. What is the issue here? (Maybe I’m just dumb and not seeing what the complaint is.)

In the picture Rinzler posted, I see two guys standing outside a keep. Yay? If it is a keep they own, I’d assume they are watching for invaders. If its a keep they don’t own, I’d assume they are scouting or spying on enemy movements. I wouldn’t have a problem with either of those activities. So what am I not seeing?

Obviously there must be something, but its not self-evident to me.

NOTE: I’m from Anvil Rock, but I purposely selected a screenshot from both both sides of the “everyone is a cheater” argument because I’d really like to know more about what activities people find objectionable. It would actually be sort of interesting to see a “WvW etiquette” type of post.

EDIT: And whats this business about portals? I’m not a huge fan of the “lets warp an army from point a to point b” approach, but I can’t see calling it an exploit. Are people saying they can somehow use a portal to bypass a gate or wall? (That would suck.) All of this seems to stem from something that happened Thursday. I wasn’t online that night (last I remember we were down to 0-15 points total, so its pretty hard to stay motivated to continue the match hehe).

Mine shows 50 or so anvil rock scaling the back side of garrison to bypass the gate. AKA an exploit.

The majority didn’t exploit, and I’m sure half the player that followed the cheaters didn’t even know they were exploiting (newb are newb). It happened to me once, I took a portal, and after the fight I learned it was maybe an exploit portal.

We will clean our server, and be ready to fight again.

I’ve heard of some tiers organizing “fight clubs” where various folks from the different servers meet at a predesignated spot and do one-on-one duels. Trickier to organize now that you can’t find out an enemy’s name in-game anymore. But still doable with a little planning ahead of time since whisper communication is still possible if you know the person’s name.

I was against this BS in the last game I played and would say i would still be against it. if we meet on the field while roaming around, great, otherwise it’s collaboration to play the game not as intended.

@Plok I can assure you that just because you may have had a smaller group running around, that was far from the only BP presence in AR BL. The group that sieged up at Gods was hardly 6 people. On top of that was a decent amount of SF. Why so upset AR was holding it’s BL?
