Is this supposed to be a counter argument or what? ‘Cause what’s been said in this “discussion” is nothing. Purely nothing. By most people there. Parallel backfiring at each other for no reason (one thing leads to another), not focusing on the core of the derailed discussion. I admit I was a little uninformed on a particular matter, ‘cause I don’t find myself in these pointless conversations. Now I came across one while searching for a “healthy” discussion on the dungeon sub forum, go figure. Learn from mistakes.
Okay, you seem like someone who shows pinch of respect towards others, unlike some of “rT” ignorant individuals.
Do you even realize why he said that statement? The reason he kept saying that is because handful of you miss understood the point of his video.
He was talking to his YouTube audience. Not you. Not rT. Not DnT. His small 1k YouTube audience. They were requesting FGS videos, he simply replied to them, and them ONLY about his principles / opinions about FGS.
But no, somebody felt called out and hate started spreading like a plague. He makes another video trying to declare his intentions, gets miss understood again.
That’s the whole story.

The context comes from outside of this forum. It isn’t unjustified distaste towards HC, I think you’ll find they even aggravated it. Reddit and youtube are the main sources for all of this. Again, most of that was Debby making stupid claims and statements. We don’t need to have this discussion here, however. It just so happens that the topic of HC was brought up because they’re associated with speed runs and ‘FGS exploit’.

What Debby does is her decision. And falls on her head. Whether it’s right or wrong. It’s her opinion, if you think it’s stupid, it’s fine, but it does not mean that you (not you particularly, but anyone) should not respect it.
What I was trying to comprehend here is, why was, in a discussion about speed clears, records, tactics and statistics, thread starting to derail towards hate and ignorance.

Tbh I don’t know. Nor do I care. It’s Shadeus’ opinion and I respect it. His decision.
He clearly stated that his intention was not to call on anyone in particular, just to notify his small youtube / guild wars 2 audience that he will not be making FGS speed run videos. And he has reasons for it. His reasons. Plus he stated that he does not look down on people who use it, and doesn’t have a problem with them at all, just that he himself will never do it.
But some apparently felt called out, and now decided to throw hate towards HC as a whole, and it’s members. Which is ignorant, especially in a discussion that had nothing to do with us and Shadeus himself.

What’s with the unnecessary hate towards Define and Shadeus himself? Just because he might have a different opinion from some of you, doesn’t necessarily mean that he disrespects your record runs while using “these exploits”, which is clearly what you’re doing here.
I personally don’t give a crap. I game for fun. I joined a “hardcore” guild to have fun first and foremost. Also, guilds challenging each other is fun as well, and I think that competition should be kept healthy and respectful towards others.
Instead I notice constant hate thrown towards somebody who does not have same opinion as others. Not the mention some of the really disrespectful comments from “rT” guild members (seen in signatures), which are completely ignorant and not productive for a discussion.

Hello, I would like to get an answer if any players have experienced this or a reply from the devs if it’s possible.
In the last 2 hours I’ve been trying to complete the Master of Baubles achievement for World 1 since I never got the chance to do much SAB during it’s first release in April.
After getting hopeless I’ve turned to one of the guides on the internet, only to have noticed that I’ve pretty much picked up every bauble possible in my previous runs with one exception.
On top of the horizontal trunk after 2nd or 3rd checkpoint (not sure) there should be (according to April’s guide) 5 baubles, only to have found 4 every single time of my play through trying to get the achievement(s).
Anyone else experiencing this and any words from the devs possibly?

Same here on this end. At first I thought it’s my internet connection being a pain, but my guild mates as well were experiencing the same thing.
Constant lag spikes, big ones too, up to 10s no control over the character. Don’t even get me started on skill lag.
Is it server wise or something else, ‘cause it’s really impossible to play at this point?

TA is way more profitable than COF.
Look at all the silent nerfs at COF. How many exoticdropps do you get in COF/h? My exp with this is about 1 to MAX 2.
In TA you’ll get about 4+ in a hour. Some luckers way more. Also at least every run 1 core and often lodestones. [Evul] obvly never talked about their farmway bc they wont it to be public and Anet would nerf the dropps and almost never invited ppl from Friendlists. All over it would be never public bc gw2player nowerday aren’t able to do srs content. Just activate all buffs and smash anything down with rediclious aoe.
TA farm isnt for any randomgroup. You have to be coordinated and know what to do, ofc if all know their jobs its quit enjoyable.

And again Dub is wrong again (as often) in COF you have just 2 golddropps from bosses in TA 3 + chests.
The most unbelievable fact is ppl proclaim loudly here your dangerouly superficial knowledge and never did it this way.

Yes, this can be very profitable for persistant and determined platers, but saying it’s more profitable than CoF, and ’cause of the RNG as a reason is completely false.

Taking RNG into consideration, TA can grant you more gold, but again, RNG. You can get lucky in CoF too and get even a precursor, which has happened, and start running around saying CoF makes you more gold.
What needs to be taken into consideration is silver drops and time investment. Which, granted, CoF gives more gold for a full run than TA for 2 / 3 bosses and is more PuG friendly, thus making this thread pointless.
Making it more pointless is a patch that is coming out, making these farm runs obsolete.

Hello, I usually would not open a new thread with every idea I get that would, in my opinion, improve the gaming experience, but this one I think would benefit a large player base and developers themselves.
Now I am no game designer, but I am certain this would be a step to a right direction.
I am sure that many of us, including myself, after completing a legendary weapon, have come to a point where I / you don’t want the stats it provides (PTV). As it stands right now, transmuting any legendary weapon, will lose you the legendary status of it.
Giving all that in consideration, why not make the stones (name it whatever) that would enable us to transmute the weapons with the stats we want, with keeping the legendary status of it? This will cater large portion of the community for certain, and plus, ANet can get something out of it.
Put it on the Gem Store for certain amount of gems. It’s a win win situation.

First of all, I would like to mention that, me, as one maining a warrior, was never an ALT person. Always been the one who mains one profession and sticks with it. Well, this time, things changed. I’ve pretty much done everything as a warrior, completed the look, build, map, legendary and all the good stuff, and I thought to myself that I need a change. Something fresh.
So I decided to give one ALT a go. A guardian.
Without bothering you, who is reading this, too much, I am gonna jump to the point.
Just started leveling up a guardian, and I am having a blast. As much as I had fun leveling a warrior too. Now, that said, note that I am a complete beginner to a guardian profession, with somewhat barely basic knowledge about it. With that, I come to you guys, seeking some guidance, and advices.
As a warrior, I was a frontliner (in WvW slang so to speak). All the time. Taking a lot of damage with possibility of returning a lot back. This is the same way I want to play a guardian. But, I would like, with being a frontliner, also to dish out huge support to my allies with ability to dish out some damage back too. As far as PvE is concerned, same thing, a lot of survivability with great amount of support and fair damage.
Now all that being said, I am looking for advices. Starting from the skills, traits, weapons and gear.

Tonight was unplayable ’cause of the lag. Skill took 5s to proc if not even longer in some engagements. Pathetic development.
Ruined fun for me and lots in WvW. Servers do need some fixing ASAP. Just when I thought culling is the biggest issue.

I was not looking for other’s disbelief, but rather help. The numbers are just the ones being shown from others FPS measuring programs and / or in – game graphics tab in option menu. And when I say unplayable, I mean choppy in a way that is frustrating to play.
I understand you have your opition but if you don’t have any help / suggestions, with all do respect, walk away, and don’t digress from what I am actually looking for.

First I would like to say if this thread belongs somewhere else, mods will move it and I am aware of that.

To get to the point. Since the release I’ve been playing this game on best appearance without any issues with 60 FPS, sometimes lower when stuff is happening on screen. For those situations I sometimes switch to “auto detect” or even cough karka event cough to best performance.
But lately, or 2 days ago rather, the game is giving me horrible FPS, even on best performance. I am getting 20 – 30 FPS at best with “best performance” settings.

I came to the forums to seek help ‘cause I’m out of options. I’ve done pretty much everything I can. Reinstalled drivers, updated to newest, reverted to previous ones, opened my computer and clean it up (even tho’ it was not dusty giving the fact I keep my hardware clean and dust free) and so on.

Keep in mind that I play games like Crysis 3, The Witcher 2 and others on high settings / or even highest, without any issues and with getting 60 FPS, rarely lower. Please, give suggestions, GW2 is still my favorite game, but atm, it is literally unplayable (for me).

As I stated in one of the threads like this, I would love this to be implemented.
It usually stays (the camera) far off after the boss fight after quickly exiting the dungeon.

I do not understand this crappy DR system.
Me and my friends just got out of the AC, done all 3 paths and recieved DR each path. Note that we did CoF path 1 & 2 and recieved full reward.
AC path 1 – 60 tokens (26s), AC path 2 – 45 tokens (19s or something close to it), AC path 3 – 30 tokens (13s). Everybody in party got these results.
Will someone explain to me why did we recieve DR? Do these “developers” even want us to play the game? Or should we just sit in LA so God forbid you don’t get DR-ed? Flawed system is flawed.

This is something I’ve been thinking for a long time.
After some boss fight in dungeon, I got out in the open world with the camera zoomed out just like during the same boss fight, and I thought it’s pretty neat. Even more, I thought I would like to keep it that way permanently.
Give us an option zoom out more. I think it’s a long shot, but no harm in stating an opinion / feedback.

I know this thread is from while ago and this is something that is common knowledge by now, but I have a question, and I would more than appreciate if someone could take the time to explain.
I decided to ignore the Fractals from day one, giving the fact that at that point, I didn’t like the idea of another tier being added to a game.
But, recently, I gave Fractals a shot, and I am very much enjoying it. In a week I got up to level 13.
Now to my question, that is considering dailies.
So daily is when you recieve a chest after the completion of an even Fractals.
I am wondering how many times I can do daily Fractal if I am up to 14? Can I do it twice? Or how does it work?

I agree with the OP 100%. I do too enjoy my road to Twilight. It has been stated milion times on this forum that legendary weapons should be a long term goal, and I think when ANet said “we don’t make grindy games”, they weren’t lying. Aquiring legendaries should happen over long time of period, by doing everything that a game offers. The problem is the people. People want it now, this moment, which, thinking that way, turns a road to legendary a grind.
It’s not a lie that there is some imbalance in prices, but let me tell you, I’d rather have it this way, than everyone running around with legendaries.
My two cents. Doesn’t mean I’m right, but playing this way is most enjoyable for me.

Gate closed for a week, and able to a dungeon only if in a party with cross server buddy (can’t remember which server exactly, but we did it today). Which says that not all the servers have the dungeon in “closed state”. But as far as I can see, majority is.
Fix this kitten it’s preventing us from a dungeon, personal story & a karma vendor.
