For BG, congratulations on your promotion to tier 1. After many weeks of fighting with you, I have to say I will miss you all! May we meet again soon and participate in glorious battles.

For TC, prepare yourselves. With this newcomer dropping down from tier 1, SoR smells blood in the water. We are chomping at the bit for our chance to be green and we will let nothing stand in our way for that chance >:D

It works extremely well right now. I recommend to keep on doing it that way I can learn to counter it now rather than later in tier 1.

It really is an interesting strategy when implemented correctly. Working on the timing and the mobility is definitely a challenge and the overall scheme is always being tweaked and is most certainly far from perfect.

To the two SoR players helping BG take Longview on TCBL this morning .. well that was interesting. It was also puzzling why the BG guys didn’t take you out either. Must be a mutual admiration society!

There was actually one instance back when IOJ was still in the tier, where we rolled up on the NW tower in a BL that was owned by IOJ. I would say there was a small force of BG, maybe about 20 randoms with 2 rams on the door. We proceeded to wipe them, but noticed that the people ramming didn’t see/didn’t want to acknowledge us and just kept on ramming the door. We actually waited to see if they would break down the door for us as we watched, and they got it down to about 3% before they realized what was going on. It gave us quite a laugh.

This thread came along and had a relatively cheery start (although I don’t agree with the public defamation of poor commanders, which hasn’t really happened thus far anyway), and you few come along and say there is no point. All I have left to say to you is, who are you to tell me that my praise for our server’s commanders is pointless/stupid?

Now then, obviously shout out to my Choo commanders! You guys really are the reason I joined in the first place, and the community is what led me to stay. You guys are awesome!

Shout out also to the CDS commanders and TW/TWL commanders as well. Coordinating with your groups has always led to fun times!

To all those out there that I did not name, well I probably haven’t run with you and don’t know your tactics. However, I do respect what you try to achieve for our server and I salute you.

Ahh I see your signature, you are an Oceanic crew! We do have Commander Owl <3 that plays during that time slot and some others, and we are slowly growing in strength in that area (props to you oceanic crew! you never give up regardless of the difference in numbers!)

Maybe you should come check out our prime time! Then maybe you will understand why a lot of guilds come to fear and respect the pain train.

This is why I personally respect your guild when we face off with you on the battlefield. Not only have I (and probably a lot of Choo) learned a lot from your guild on the field, we can all (BG and SoR alike) learn from your class on the forums.

Not sure if this is the interview you are talking about, but Colin actually made this response to his thread that he started about it. Now this doesn’t mean that they are hard at work with new maps RIGHT NOW, but it also does not rule out the possibility that something is in the works.

All the talk of SoS hacking into towers and keeps, well it needs to stop after what happened today…..

Its a great fun fight all over this week but here it is being made bad by a guild from JQ

As a non-combatant in this fight, I would like to spread the knowledge that there is a known and reported bug with that tower gate on all the BL’s. There have been several instances where I have been assaulting this particular tower and someone in TS will say they accidentally glitched in the tower through the wall while engaging the door. Confirmed cases of this include a mesmer blinking while at the gate and twice a warrior has glitched through while assaulting the gate with GS #3 whirl. All cases resulted in a lot of, “OMG GET OUT OF THERE!” on TS and the player either left via the wall or stood and died on the spot. We then reported the incidence to anet afterwards.

Not taking sides in this argument, just trying to let everyone know that this is a bug that happens on occasion, and does not explicitly mean the player is a hacker.

It was a cool battle, we swapped having the lowest health countless times, I threw out my elite then you threw out yours, neither of us did any cheap crap or ran away to reset.

Good d/d elementalists are a brutal 1v1. We both have a lot of mobility, healing and condition removal, so it’s an attrition fight. I think you were winning though, you maintained a little more HP than me and if I started getting sloppy with dodges it would’ve been bad.

I bailed because that thief threw down that dagger storm, that plus the other SoR standing around made it feel a little unfair.

I was the one standing there with my thief friend in a party and I saw what was going on and yelled in all caps, “1v1 DONT TOUCH”. Then I proceeded to /cheer for him (which I’m sure you saw) and was yelling encouraging words to him. I think the reason the dagger storm was thrown was because we were trying to kill the skelks that were swarming around to make sure it was a fair fight (although the dagger storm was a bit much, think it’s just a gut reaction when she gets low with lots of mobs on her)

Twas a good fight, just don’t run from a 1v1 next time especially when a crowd is /cheering in the background :P. A lot of us have respect for such a situation, and love to watch a heated 1v1 on the battlefield, but get sad when one runs away before it ends .

EDIT: Thinking about my post, my manners completely eluded me. Please accept my and my friend’s apology if we disrupted your duel. We were merely there to watch the show.

So we, at BG, had the best moment ever (in terms of laughter) in SoR BL. Garrison trebs our NE wall of bay down 30mins-1hour before. We stall them at garrison for 1 hour hence making SoR unable to attack bay. We get pushed out of garrison and SoR attacks bay. Do they rush through the broken wall? No. They use 2 golems and their entire zerg of roughly 30 people (This is during late oceanic prime time btw, so don’t u SoR dare say anything about having no forces during this hour since you managed to push us out of garrison) to attack NW gate.

tldr? SoR attacks NW AB gate with 2 golems while NE outer wall is down

Pretty pointless post except to simply troll a thread considering I have seen every server we’ve played against do countless stupid things against us…maybe they wanted a second breach to make it even more difficult to hold the place since they had things left over? You have no idea what the tactics were, so there’s no reason to come on the forums and call a server “dumb” in so many words…

For the talk about SoR saying bad things on forums it is pretty hypocritical to say when i see equally as many BG talking smack like the above post

I can indeed confirm that is exactly what we were doing (putting more holes into bay). We did not know whether our push would take bay that time, so putting more holes in the wall allows for more avenues of attack and makes it harder for enemies to repair. It was a paper gate so it would go down quickly. A simple tactic that is used a lot.

Before I go back to lurking, I’d just like to say it’s been a pleasure BG and TC, a lot of hard battles fought. I have enjoyed myself thoroughly. Keep on fighting.

I can also say that this is happening to me a lot lately. What is really odd, is that all the characters (NPC and Players) will all continue with their last motion they were doing (Newton’s laws). My character will continue to be able to move but his skills will not work.

That is truly not the oddest part. I can literally sit in chat with /guild or /party and talk with my friends in real time. I’ll be like “O gosh, here comes the disconnect, wonder how long it will take this time”, while my friends are screaming “NOOOOOOOO” because we are fighting something.

Anyone else have a similar problem?
