He’s talking about when someone ranging him sees the reflect buff and keeps attacking. If they’re standing behind a teammate, those attacks will reflect off of archdiviner and hit the teammate. This is 100% the fault of the guy ranging.

A friend just told me Vallog in CM p3 now moves around. This wasn’t in the patch notes. I’m not sure that this really changes anything major for him but is interesting I guess.

Only if revenant turns out to be strong and fun to play I think.

Nice. I’d imagine a thief with 25 stacks of cruelty, 25 vuln, 66002, <50% hp on the jotun, scholar runes, banner of discipline, double frost spirit, seaweed salad, improvisation and holding a lightning hammer could reflect pretty high with dagger storm.

On your ranger setup, were you using ferocity stacks and axe/axe with the +150 ferocity axe mainhand trait? Also I wonder if ghost slaying works on him. Undead slaying does not.

Nice kill. I still feel like thief can get closer to 5 minutes though with better rng. Maybe try using med kits for fury occasionally?

I managed to improve my time by a lot. I will keep trying, and I think under 4 minutes is very doable. Hopefully I’ll be able to get a solid time for a full run of Arah p2 very soon!

And yet confusion gets a pve only change. K ANet -_-

Needs more staff eles.

Five staff eles vs lupi would be fun. I can say from experience that with two staff eles and a warrior there is almost enough burst to skip phase 2 entirely in a trio.

Ice bow would be very little difference. Meteor shower is 3-4 meteors difference probably.

This behavior isn’t unique to that sigil, by the way. If you run the ranger trait that increases stun duration, Moment of Clarity, you’ll find you can interrupt him with greatsword or shortbow. It probably is just because -100% stun duration + 100% duration = +/- 0% stun duration, giving normal stun duration.

Belka is not considered inquest, I just tested it in game. I would assume the same goes for Brie.

Using consecrated ground to one shot him (for shame) wasn’t banned because it was a specific thing for a specific boss right? Based on that precedent, I don’t think there’s any way you can justify banning a single specific sigil for a specific boss unless it allowed you to do something silly like do a million damage in 3 seconds.

If you need blinds, pop glyph of storms while in earth, then swap to fire and use lava font then meteor shower. If the mobs might run out of your meteor shower you could do earth, glyph of storms, air, static field, then do fire and lava font and meteor shower. If that’s not enough, throw in ice bow as well.

I’m glad you liked my fire grab video. Elementalist + warrior is probably the best combo you can use for this boss. General strategy for Brie is to stack a ton of might and focus on getting a really big burst just before 50% that way you can knock her as low as possible with the 10x damage buff. Then just melee her down. If you’re on warrior, you can stack a bunch of vuln with axe/mace and then eviscerate before 50% for a big burst.
Elementalist can use lightning storm (glyph of storms in air) followed by a fire grab before 50%.

Thief can use blinding powder followed by backstab.

It’s pretty easy to land the fire grab if you don’t use arcane brilliance, it took a few tries to get that to work so in a full run you would just want to skip it and go straight from phoenix to fire grab. The key is to be fast enough to fire grab before glyph of storms knocks her below 50%.

Under 60 might be doable, I’ll try to do it in the next week or so.

I second AmbrosialK for most underrated soloer.

I love the Meteor Shower -> scepter/dagger swap at Lupi. Pretty clever.

In Arah I was able to get up to 3,454 power with no might or assassin’s signet or banner/EA and it was still under the cap. I can’t get any higher than this without more power infusions and ascended armor. I’m going to go ahead and say that the Arah attribute cap either doesn’t exist or is too high to ever have a practical impact on anyone.

I’m not sure how your values scale, Wethospu, but I found that the scaled power caps are as follows:
AC: 720
CM:1,020
TA: 1,420
SE: 1,790
CoF: 2260
All of these were explorable, I can test story later.
Also Revealed Training for thieves is affected by this cap. So it’s basically a worthless trait in AC and maybe SE. Food, utility, and bloodlust all can be capped. Banners and empower allies are unaffected. Trying to see if I can reach a cap in Arah now.

This also happens in Ascalonian Catacombs path 3 when you get transformed into a ghost. It’s probably caused by the transformation, as that is present in the Ascalon and Thaumanova fractals as well. It’s extremely inconvenient and kind of gamebreaking so a fix would be warmly appreciated. ^^

I said “most.” :P The orbs and Dwayna were the only two parts I couldn’t figure out to solo on ranger. I think maybe a Norn with bear form could solo the orbs though.

This was done Tuesday morning before the FGS nerf. Video is 9:00, the kill took 8:35.

I use the ones from Sparkfly Fen and they work fine as well.

What isn’t working about the hylek poisons? I’m literally sitting in Arah right now using them and nothing seems to have changed.
