The only complaint I have for GSs is the last swing in the normal attack chain.
She swings upwards as if she’s letting go of the blade, there’s no technique nor ferocity, it shouldn’t even damage, and should cripple you for being so reckless.
They should have something more fierce, a downward slice to the ground. The rest is perfect, to me.
These bigger NPCs are fat… They have bellies. Look enough and you’ll see.
It’s the same as the last body types.
It affects the first personal storyline. If you choose wolf, you get one, get bear, get another, and so on.
1 – This game isn’t about endgame. If you didn’t enjoy the game ever since lv 1, that’s your own fault.
2 – You expect a game to come out with lots of “endgame”? Really? WoW Vanilla rings a bell?
I didn’t say what processor I have because I don’t really remember it. I know, though, my processor is a not so current i7 version. Still, it shouldn’t really be a problem. I know the processor is good, I can run Battlefield 3 with Ultra Settings, for example.
Eh no? I’ve been running happily past mobs, all you’ve got to do is evade their attacks. If you got slowed “something” hit you. If you didn’t notice that, it was either not clear enough or maybe there’s some kind of bug somewhere somehow.
Eh, yes ? I get the same thing. To clear it up a bit, it’s when you enter into “battle mode”, you know when you cant change weapons. Well ye, my guy slows slightly down, hasn’t been hit at all. I just dropped ArenaNet a bug report, lets see what they say. Glaring example, as a mesmer we get a speed boon ability, I put it down, I run through, a friendly also runs through, we both haven’t been hit, but yet he runs slightly faster than me. Everyone does this past me. As soon as I get out of battle mode, I start running faster again.
You only slow down if you hit/is hit by something.
I think of it as the elementalist having 4 weapon sets, one for each elemental affinity. You already get 20 skills, you don’t need another weapon set.
It’s a balancing question, so I think it’s a no-no for in-combat switching.
Out of combat, sure. Just press H, equip the weapon, and there you go. Maybe even implement a keybind for quick weapon equipping.
Well timed dodges, well timed blocks, condition removals, knockbacks, interruptions, force the Thief to burn all his initiative, don’t get under 50% life
The latter is the most important.
People who spam heartseeker when you’re 100% won’t damage you a lot.
This is a reaction game, and a knowledge one as well. Know your enemy, what will he do and when will he’ll do, and you’ll win.
I really dont like it at all to begin with because the logic for me is that, if im level 50 i should be able to tank 10 level 1s if i wanted to no matter what i am. I earned my levels after all and i think i should have a ridiculous advantage on things that have a much lower level than me. whats the point of leveling if no matter where u go, theyll force ur power to match the power of the npcs? i wouldnt have such a problem with it if i wouldnt get dumbed down to the same level as the npc’s in the area because often times, if i go to a level 1-15 area, a lvl 8 area, i get dumbed down to level 6, and im fighting level 8s. i think it would be fine if i get dumbed down, and still be a higher level than the area im in. say i go to a level 1-15 area ok? the highest level i can be there is level 17 where everything else is 15 where and the lowest is 1, instead of getting dumbed down to 3 i should get dumbed down to 5 instead.
if i get dumbed down, because i earned my levels i think i shouldnt be dumbed down to where my levels serve as no advantage in the zone
Only your basic stats get levelled down to the area’s level. You’re still in a huge trait/gear/skill advantage. You’re still more powerful than the other players. It’s a good balance, overall
For all melee warriors: Balanced Stance
Makes you unkiteable for 8 seconds.
Arcing Slice > Balanced Stance / Bull’s Charge (at the same time) > Hundred Blades.
See 8k damage popping on your opponent if you’re not a glass cannon (Think of it as a League of Legend’s bruiser. That’s my build, I use a 30/0/30/10/0 build, which gives me power/toughness and makes me pretty well balanced. I can dish punishment and take it all as well, making me versatile overall)
See 12k+ damage popping on your opponent if you built pure damage.
I advise you to NEVER. EVER build something that is pure glass cannon. You’ll NEVER succeed, because you’ll get CC’d and ganked. Not even mages have this excuse in this game.
I suggest taking Healing Surge (6), Balanced Stance (7), Bull’s Charge (8), Signet of Stamina (9) and Signet of Rage (10) as your utility skills.
Signet of Stamina is invaluable. Cooldown isn’t too high, recharges your endurance faster (allows you to dodge more and survive more) and it’s active heals ALL CONDITIONS on you. Repeat. ALL CONDITIONS.
You can swap Signet of Rage for Banner of War if you want the ability to res downed allies and support your group in a teamfight overall. Works well too.
I make it a habit to explore every city with every character so I don’t have to do this later, and possibly achieve 100% map completion with each.
But through all of the time I’ve been playing, I’ve been having immense, unacceptable FPS losses when exploring the Black Citadel. From about 55, it drops to 5, it doesn’t matter whether I choose low end graphics or high, it stills keeps on 5.
This is something that shouldn’t happen when I’m using a GeForce GTX 560TI graphics card and have 16gb RAM memory.
Does A-Net have an input in this?
