This game is like the college football game between 2 smaller AA schools on the other side of the country that no one cares about. You randomly flip past it on ESPN3 and notice the score is tied in double OT. So you stop and watch it. Thats what this feels like, lol.

The way it works most of the time is whoever is the most threatening at the time whether in total score or in the region is who gets the attention.

To whoever said seige isn’t for defense… You must lose alot?

The orbs aren’t the cause of the snowball effect, they are the excuse for it. People quit losing teams. After mentally resigning they will subconsciously look for a reason they lost and the orbs are an easy target.

It may have a minor actual effect, but its not game breaking.

Yeah, I dislike this as well. We spent a good 2g seigeing up Etheron Hills while upgrading it. I logged to sleep for 5 hours and wake up to see its all despawned. The hell was the point of it then? Promotes last-minute defense behavior where you throw up ad-hoc defense seige while under attack instead of planning ahead.

Anyone have a score update. Taking training courses for a promotion at work and I’m bored out of my mind. Someone give me an update!

I like to queue for sPvP and meander around for the scenery.

Just a tip to avoid not seeing enemies. Change your settings so that names display, I believe its under graphics settings. You will see a bunch of floating names at all times well before the actual models display. This will give you an indication that theres a zerg there even with the rendering issues.

I have it set to display names, but while the names do generally show up shortly before the character renders, in cases like the above I don’t even get that at the onset.

Yeah, that NSP, SoR, YB game has been within 1.5% all week. YB was actually in last place yesterday.

I specifically rolled a necro and will hit 80 tonight for the explicit purpose of condition builds in WvW. I have leveled almost exclusively in WvW past level 30 and have loved every minute of it. I use sceptor and dagger/warhorn and then staff.

I use staff for area denial. Think wall aoes. Spec into larger marks and those puppies COVER the walls. If they get ballsy and decide to eat the marks you use epidemic and make everyone in the area pay for their mistake. This also works well for denying area infront of your gates or walls on defense.

Sceptor is my main single target source of damage, though with epidemic you’re always a huge aoe threat. Sceptor 2 is a nice snare with a good duration. Locus swarm if you have warhorn in OH is very nice compliment to this too.

Spectral walk is both a stun breaker and a nice mobility ability and can be used for some creative escapes.

I don’t remember the signets name, but the one that collects allies conditions on to yourself and then activates to dump them on the target can be nice, but you should exercise caution and have a full build around it.

The utility that turn boons into conditions is a favorite of mine. I love watching guardians that get to 50% and pop “Save Yourselves!” for all the buffs. It never fails. Once they do, I convert all those to conditions, unload my own conditions, and then epidemic. It is a beautiful thing.

Server jumping workers, obviously. Theres only one solution.

I also would really like to see a new screen shot score. No update on the matchups site in a few hours. The suspense is killing me!

Workers will passively build new cannons/mortars/oil when they get destroyed. This takes supply.

Every Server has a hacker i believe. Northern Shiverpeaks, a Warrior of [war] guild also has the Teleport Hack. I dont really Remember the Date but its like 2-3days ago.

When we are at Northern Shiverpeaks. The time that We took Cliffside, and Longview and hold it for 2-3hrs. Thats The time that 2 Walls are down in Longview but we have full of Balista, Cata and Arrowchart. We hold it very good.

A Warrior of [war] teleporting and Destroying Balista’s. I was shooting at him with balista and he Dodging me With hack (Its not double Tap) Its teleporting. Then He Teleport to my Location and “Freenzy + Hundred Blade on me” Destroying Balista. I Turn on my Fraps but he did not do it again. On that time, WE ALSO HAVE HACKER ON OUR SIDE fighting and defending Longview. That might be the reason they hack aswell.

I know this very well.. Because i am the Commander on that time who we took BlueLake, EH, Longview, and Cliffside + Supply camps(without hacker until the defend of Longview). Cool Story. It was really fun.

TIP: If you guys going to hack. Leave your guild. Otherwise, It will give you a overall bad reputation.

Those are strong words, friend. War has a zero tolerance policy on exploits and hacks and have kicked/reported members 2 weeks ago. The crew online actively and vocally criticizes and threatens potential exploiters on our side. I’d go so far as to say that I highly doubt either your perception of the fight you lost or your honesty. I have not witnessed anyone in War so much as kid about using exploits. If you witness this please right click on the player, choose report, and get the account information. Also please bring some evidence. The extreme clipping issues right now, I think, are adding to the perception of exploitation via misinterpretation and frustration. I have seen many baseless acusations lately after last weekend. Last night the orb in NSP garrison was dropped by lightning and the whole of map chat errupted in rage over hackers. While catching hackers and exploiters no matter their server and guild is very important, lets make sure they are accurate accusations.

How about a 20% increase in badge drop % within the area of an owned structure. That would be enticing.

Ah, yes, I could see the disruption of communities to be a detriment. With that type of behavior perhaps you are correct, but leave the bottom half of the servers free with a CD.

Unfortunately to implement a passive “being on defense” reward system only invites a swarm of bots the likes you’ve never seen. Perhaps more rewarding system for upgrading, higher rewards for actual defensive combat, etc. to make up for the lack of continuous xp/karma/etc.

Define killing HoD and JQ? No more 2-5 hour queues? Not quite as untouchable to the peasant servers? The goal of the open transfers is to lessen the disparity between the top servers and the rest and to decrease the queues on said top servers.

Ah, seems DH is making a big jump in the rankings, so one of this group will drop 1 slot. Need Yaks to make up 4 points on them to stay in. Thats crazy we have 4 teams within 0.35% in the ratings.

it’s kinda making me cry inside a bit thinking after friday at least one of us will be moving on in either dirrection. I have seen some epic fights and manouvers preformed this week. Its been a nonstop back and forth.

This is not necessarily true. With the close proximity of the score it is very likely that we will play again with shuffled colors. If NSP edges out a win and everything remains close the next matchu will likely be:

Green: NPS
Blue: SoR
Red: YB

In fact in the ratings we’d be separated by about 14 points. So within 1% of eachothers score. This matchup could continue for a while.

Yeah, I’ve noticed the same. Especially after the relaxing of the farm restricting code the other night. And I go CRAZY with seige. Last night at one point I had 9 rams, 10 arrow carts, 6 catas, 10 ballistas, and 3 trebs.

… I may or may not have spent a good 8g on wvw on friday… >.>

Yeah, SoR, how does it feel to get “roflstomped with many repair bills” by -0.5% (or whatever the actual current score is at the moment)?

I am also curious of this. I’ve noticed losing ground over an hour while all the while having the best “potential” points. I’d like to know more about this.

NSP has landed in a nice balance of matchups and we don’t have crazy server hopping. We are at the time of this posting all within 2000 points.

If below 80, where is the XP? Why not have levels like in SPVP? I spent 4 hours in there last night and got absolutely NOTHING out of it? Why even bother? What is the hook for level 80 players to even keep doing this?

I’m with you, I’d much rather play a game that gives me some sort of pretend in game currency of some sort than one that is entertaining and challenging.

This is the first real match NSP has had since the rebuild so we are learning ALOT. Very entertaining!

Yeah, some of us on NSP have caught account names of speed hackers and flyhackers tonight. Also pathing exploiters who go under the keep to attack your siege from there.

Well, the only instance I have first hand knowledge of is the one that happened in NSP borderlands which still to this minute has never been breached by Yaks. The orb fully reset afterwards and then a few seconds after it fully reset it appeared magically at DB under Yak control.

Last night while taking Dreaming Bay we came from the northern inner gate to the lords room and I rounded the corner, killed the altar, went up to the second level and made 2 laps while aoe’ing before a single enemy rendered or started to attack me.

Yeah but they’ve done this every matchup, from different guilds. Was kaon before, now it’s projekt mayhem or whatever. To a degree, since it’s reoccurring on their server more than any other server, I’d say they have to own some of it.

If enemies can nab the hackers in videos and screenshots, Yak’s easily can too, and they actually see the names and have way more opportunity to report them.

This all the way. We had SEVERAL frapsers at the altars right after it was taken. We all smelled foul play and reacted to catch the perp. At the time we thought it was someone on our team doing this and I let off a rant in map chat as it was taken to let the perp know that we were hunting him. Give him to us!

Really it should be NSP, SoR and YB against these hackers, you just really can’t blame a server for what a very small group of people do. I know on SoR we try to agressivly police our server as I’m sure YB does and NSP as well. The large majority of people on all servers just want a fun fair fight. On a side note score looks close this morning this may be a good fight this week. /salute

I agree. But given the fact that Yak is in first and clearly has a stronger night force than our servers, it wouldn’t hurt to rough them up a little anyways. :P

In a game of seige warfare I’m not too worried about this. In fact for the first 3 hours of the night SoR owned all 3 orbs and we were still in 1st.

The problem I personally have with the orb hacks is that it the hack instantly throws the balance of the map off. All of a sudden the crew defending EH from SoR is up in a tizzy and storming around the map. We worked together to take Yaks Bend off of the map completely, but SoR did a massive rush on DB. The whole flow of the game gets all jacked up every time the orb is messed with.

Then we had the whole debate in map chat about whether to defend our fully upgraded camp at godsword when it reset or to let SoR take the orb uncontested. All progress is halted by drama and confusion. It really just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
