Guild Wars 2

This is an awesome Idea. We actually already do something similar every couple of months in ARES, that we call the KoA Games. We run Dungeons, then a PvP Round Robin, and finish with a Jumping Puzzle. Points are awarded to the teams based on their finishing times, or placement in the Round Robin.

Some of the Dungeon Rules we use:

- Groups must consist of 2 Veterans, and 3 Newer Players
- All Bosses must be killed (AC Troll an exception, as its Random)
- Dungeons & Paths are assigned at random on day of the Tourney
- Players must use the same character for entire Tournament
- Max of 2 for each profession, per team

We usually have one of the Veteran players streaming so others who are not participating can watch. And it is always a ton of fun! Looking forward to seeing how this turns out! Let me know if whoever is running this, needs any help.

However I actually like that path, and run it a couple times a week with Guildies, and make a ton of Gold doing so. Meta Achievement Skins were not rare drops, as anyone who completed the content received them. Most people are speculating that the events will be returning as they were previously (including achievements for them). And some back items like Catchers and Dragonfly Wings were handed out like candy during some events, so I would not consider them Rare. However ANet’s version of Rare could be much different than ours.

And while they did not previously bring back skins, they really didn’t have a reason too either as we didn’t have a Wardrobe Feature back then. Now that the Wardrobe is up and running, bringing skins back may also bring back players who may have missed some of the LS, but still want the skins. So it not only makes good business sense, but it also allows them to re-release gem store skins in order to increase revenue.

“The Festival is aimed towards Chinese players and anyone coming in who may have missed part of LS Season One. There will be opportunities to get guaranteed rewards from past LS events (I’m guessing things like the Gas Mask/Molten Gauntlets, or other gear from the Meta Achievements). But Rare drops from past LS Events, (eg. Monocle & Molten Backpack) will not be available for NA/EU, but might be available for China. It will also contain secrets and teasers about upcoming LS Season 2 Events, as well as for providing players with a way to help with the rebuilding efforts for Lion’s Arch!”

Patch Notes – March 18th - From these patch notes!

“Transferring worlds during a tournament will prevent players from entering the Mist War for the duration of their current matchup and the following WvW matchup.”

Since you transferred on Saturday May 3 (after a weekly reset), you will be locked out for 2 full matchups (or 2 weeks in your case), so you should be able to enter WvW after reset tonight. If you had transferred Thursday or Friday (before reset), you would have been back in WvW a week ago.

If you guest over to your Guilds Home Server, you will get credit as long as you tag the mob, or complete the Rush/Puzzle/Challenge. You have to be Guested over though. If you just use the Megaserver or Taxi to the same map you will not get credit.

New Legendaries have been talked about for over a year now. But I don’t see them arriving until after Precursor crafting has been implimented, to remove the Forum QQing. There was some info about Precursor crafting that was data-mined a while back, but it seems like that idea was either scrapped or put on hold. So we are probably looking at atleast another Year before new Legendaries are released.

Dungeons & Fractals are instanced content, meaning they are not located on a specific server. If someone enters a Dungeon in your party, and you are on the same map (you don’t have to be on the same server), a menu will pop up asking you to join them. For Guild events like Missions they are held on a specific server (Dragonbrand), but you can Guest to other worlds for free. However a lot of this is already done for you due to the new Megaserver changes. The Megaserver is supposed to put everyone from a Guild/Party on the same Map, meaning guesting should no longer be required. Really the only thing that is Server related is WvW. So unfortunately you would not be able to enter WvW with us unless you transferred, but you would have access to every other bonus our Guild has to offer.

The WvW Tournament goes until May 30th. As far as I know there are no plans for any updates until after the Tournament. So it is unlikely we will see an update before June.

It is extremely difficult to low man/solo a Bounty. Not only are they champions and do a ton of damage, but they also do not have a set spawn point. So you only have 15 min to locate and kill the bounty in order to succeed. Not to mention that Bounties only give you 6 min to kill them once activated, otherwise they will despawn and appear in a new location somewhere on the map. Realistically you need at least 5 people to do a bounty. Non-Guild members can help, but they get no rewards for helping. If you want more influence you are better off to just buy it with Gold, or recruit more members.

We still do teaching runs once a week for non-members, and a couple times a week for our Guild members. So just shoot me a message in-game anytime this week and we can get you into an AC run.

I had this happen to me during the last couple of patches for some reason. But I found if you bring up your network connections, then disable and re-enable your connection. It will continue to download the patch after it assigns you a new IP. Not really a fix, but it is a workaround until Anet gets this issue fixed.

Being on a different server prevents you from gaining some Guild benefits, as well as from joining them in WvW. You would have to guest over to that server to see any of your Guildmates, or to partake in any Guild events.

We are that Guild! If you aren’t level 80 we still have events you can partake in if you want. Daily events like our Thursday WvW Raids, have no level restrictions, so all members are free to come join us. And Guild Missions don’t have a level restriction per se, but you need to be able to make it to the Zone that the Mission is on. But since the Zone is assigned at random, we can’t Guarantee you will be able to attend all of the missions. We still teach Dungeons on a Daily basis for new members, and on a bi-weekly basis for the GW2 Community. The Dungeon Mentoring runs a great way to ease back into the game! If you are interested in joining us, I will have an invite sent out.

To answer your question Dragonbrand is a great server. As a server we are well rounded and do most PvE events like Tequatl a couple times a week, as well as daily World Event Tours and Temple Runs. The Champ Trains are running consistantly as well, if you are interested in that kind of thing. We have a great set of WvW Commanders for the most part, and a really active player base, but we are not large enough to have hour long que’s to enter WvW. Most times there are only 2-3 maps with a short que, so you can always enter one map then que for another. PvP is server wide so server doesn’t affect that aspect at all.

Honestly the only downside to Dragonbrand is that we are currently ranked 5th Overall in WvW, so we are facing the big servers. As a server we were too strong for Silver League, dominating the other servers, but we are not yet strong enough for Gold League. Don’t get me wrong we aren’t doing terrible, in fact we are holding our own, but we are outnumbered fairly consistantly on most maps. But that let’s us do more roaming and less Zerging as we can’t compete with the Blobs that SoS are fielding.

He is probably looking for scheduled runs, like ARES does, that he can make it to based on his schedule. And I agree Lilith. If anyone is interested in doing this for EU and wants some help setting it up let us know, we would be glad to help.
