I just saw a 2 hour warning on a maintence. Keep this up! I’m pleased to see you guys were serious about increasing your player warnings in game and a 2 hour warning is great to see. Hopefully this isn’t a one time thing. I hope to see a 1 hr warning followed by a 30, 10, 5, and ur usual 2 minute warning.
Seeing as how I’ve only had interactions with a commander in WvW I was wondering if it had any actual interaction in PvE. I’m asking because my guild likes to run a ‘pain train’ through areas and sometimes are over 5 people. With a commander we would have the capability of going up to 50 in the “squad” correct? Also- does it show players in your squad as well as health and names or no? I’d like some more info on this as it is quiet an investment just to become disappointed with simply a giant blue shield icon over my head.
It wasn’t the looks I was going for rather than just knowing I had the “best” piece of gear available in that slot. Though at 5 gold its silly of me to buy it when it is such a significantly small increase.
First- I have no idea what LGBT means… I may be ignorant in this regards… Secondly- While I believe I’m a supportive and helpful player standing around and simply chatting tends to be rather boring for me. I’d much rather be running around killing something than typing hours on end. In my guild we skype and on a regular basis so typing has become a “dead” form of communication. Normally most guilds will have some form of vent like we do skype and since people tend to gravitate towards communities and stick with them you form friends. In a game when you’re talking to a friend over live chat you’re less likely to type out to a random stranger. The only recommendation I have for you is find a nice guild you’re comfortable in. Personally mine is very small and casual to the point we’ve added each other on facebook and refer to each other’s real names rather than character names.
If you feel alone or no one wants you maybe Protos de Atrium can give you a home :P (my guild)… Though we’re on Gates of Madness.
Ahh ok, well that is new to me. Iam usually the type to run up to a random character and say “hello, how are you? would you like to party?” lol. You gotta start somewhere right? So I guess I must get in with the “LINGO”, since im not use to the form of communication most players use on this MMO.
Nonetheless it does seem rather interesting on how most players will form their own communities/guilds (home) and play like that.

Oh- lol you learn something new everyday! Well, offer still stands for a nice home if you have trouble finding one though, I don’t believe anyone in my guild is anything but straight…. maybe someone? To be honest though when I’m on a game I’m rarely looking for a certain gender to talk to rather than just someone in general. To me its the social interaction rather than the chance of love?

Is it possible Heart of the Mists is included? Personally Orr was the last part I had to do and that was after I completed HotM and WvW so I have no idea…. there may be a single zone you simply skipped over to come back to and forgot about. The only way to remedy this situation is to go back though each zone and check- a way to narrow this down is check your explorer achievements for which zones you don’t have 100% on and start with those zones…. that should narrow your search to roughly 3-5 zones.

I’ll admit I love the filter as it makes me smile- before I realized it was a filter I was deeply confused at everyone’s severe love for kittens on the guild wars forums…. I eventually blew it off as an internet meme thing with cats and people being funny but after some more reading it dawned on me that it could be a filter doing it.
With the boss issue I might be able to help you- be sure you nuke any of the mobs going towards the boss as they carry something he’ll eat to heal. Besides that I would just focus upon having higher gear and weapons. Estate I remember it took me 1 or 2 corpse runs to finally down it but it is defiantly do-able.

Does one exsist? I have the Berserker’s Spineguard from my story quest but I’m looking to upgrade my gear- I cant find anything but I may be looking in the wrong areas. Anyone able to give me a name by chance or where to find one?
Apparently thats the only time it existed according to certain websites lol…. I’m gonna throw a guess out here and assume its gotten from the mystic forge lottery. Or a world drop. Since its an exotic it has a low chance of getting it…
Unless they’re the last things you need (and you even have your clovers) I’d just wait… No sense bouncing around. esp- since it now is a week cooldown to transfer (As a side note Gates of Madness doesn’t own it atm so thats 1 of several you know you won’t bother with :/)
I’ve never once heard of this and the wiki has no information on this- Some general information on this would be helpful.
Theres a couple problems with lodestones in the game I feel…
1. Few locations to farm them. Most of which require a temple in Orr to be controlled and even then there are scarce mobs that drop them.
2. Current Mystic Forge recipe of upgrading cores to lodestones require 3 levels for every 10 cores you upgrade. Even if you farm cores which have a low drop rate you’ll be spending levels to do so at the same time.
3. No alternative methods.
Personally someone on these forums recommended tieing them to dungeons and allowing them to be purchased through them. It would make sense in a way as it allows the players to dump access tokens to the vendor and give another form of acquring them. Another option would be add a random generator mystic forge recipe that doesn’t require levels but, you’re not sure which lodestone you’ll be recieving.
-Even if they increase the droprate (again) it won’t solve the issue of the lack of mobs that drop the item and the farming teams that destroy the areas that the mobs are found in when avaliable.
So I went sight seeing and now I cant leave the Vigil’s Stronghold instance- I’m a member of the Order of whispers if thats relavent but, the front entrence doesn’t have an ‘exit’ option.
Jabronee- Do me a favor, quickly make a level 1 of any other profession and tell me which one has no “casting” bar on their attacks. This may answer your question as to what you’re trying to ask…

If anet is truely sadistic then this is working as intended :P… As for the % to stay up on a kill I think its very low- maybe 25%? Personally I pick the trait that makes it 100% on a kill as it comes in as a very useful trick in a fight. Just keep in mind that for some reason the kill you use it on has to give exp of some kind it seems otherwise it won’t count as ‘killing’ something.
I’ve just noticed that a material that usually was selling for almost vendor value on the post as now nearly quadrupled in price… anyone know the reasoning why? (Pile of Vile Essence)

Personally- I got up like 3 hours early after having 5 hours of sleep… If I knew it was just a 5 seconds clip I would’ve youtubed it since it wouldve had the same effect if I wasnt there to begin with…
The problem they nuke with this is that Basic Transmutation Stones and Fine Stones get rid of an item. It reduces the clutter of the items around and if everyone passes items around so everyone has the skin then those items sit there collecting space.

These are just a selection of suggestions I thought up while playing the game. Its been a month since I’ve started and have spent some decent time playing. Mind you- I have only played as a Warrior and not as any other profession.
1. During the Story mode of Arah the airships around yours should occassionally ‘fall’ or explode. I first noticed this as every ship in the sky seems to just blast every dragon out of the sky. Making this change to show not every ship is successful gives the players a bigger sense of importance or ‘special’ feeling.
2. Seperation of Keys (or give the option in Keybindings) of Loot/Talk/Revive/Interaction. This change is recommended simply due to various happening of Mesmers needing to teleport away but, instead stop to revive one of their clones and get killed themselves. Also looting mass quantities next to NPCs or trying to save that one person next to you but, instead you have a bunch of loot infront of you.
3. Mystic Forge Recipe for converting (5+) Basic Transmutation Stones into (1-3) Fine Transmutation Stones. As a player that personally doesn’t play more than one character these items have gotten rather useless. While it is understandable that you want to promote use of the Gem system to buy more Fine Transmutation Stones- adding this option makes Basic Transmutation Stones more diverse and lets the Mystic Forge clear inventories like it was designed to do.
4. Addition of a Mystic Forge Recipes that requires (Tier2-Tier6) materials (4 different types) to produce a random Sliver to Lodestone (depending on the tier placed in).
5. Addition of a Mystic Forge Recipe that requires Tier5 materials (4 different types) to produce random Tier6 materials. I feel this could increase the price and usability of Tier5 materials more.
6. Allow First Person view for camera.
7. Ability to view bank/collection from anywhere- This does not mean the ability to access it.
8. If an event fails make it’s success slightly easier progressively. This is recommended for the fact I rarely see many key-events such as temple events getting completed due to massive lack of players. While it may take sometime it will atleast allow players to eventually complete it (Of course not solo but, with a group of 5 possibly?). The main cause of this recommendation is the Temple of Balthz, while it is required for Obsidian Shards I have seen it owned on my server an entirity of 3 times since I’ve hit 70+ while on.
9. Ability to change the locations of the abilities from a weapon in their set. This applies mostly to two-handers.
10. Buff Warriors. -Ok thats a bias suggestion and deserves to be ignored in this sense I guess.
….Aren’t spears underwater weapons? Also- 2h Axe definantly…. our axe skills are nice I’d love to see a Beserker 2H Axe!
…Theres other weapons that are half-decent with the warrior than the Greatsword?
On a serious note: Personally I only carry my two weapons I use a Hammer and Greatsword but, I rarely switch…. I haven’t really found anything that is that great outside the greatsword’s abilities.
For a class that lacks utility, survivability and mobility. Our damage needs to make up for it- Without Quickness.
Interesting- Especially since shields already have weapon damage on them.
I’ll admit in PvE I feel I do a load of damage but at the sametime thats using a “glass” cannon build. While I may dish out a significant amount in a couple of seconds thats all I am- seconds of burst turned into a meh cooldown phase. Due to this cooldown phase I wouldn’t call us the best- we do nukes then sit there doing pokes…
Personally- out of all the classes Warriors probably have the hardest time in PvP due to the lack of tricks we can pull. In PvE you’ll likely blast something to death in seconds compared to other classes but, we tend to have very shakey fights in PvP.
Definantly EXTREMELY challenging…. fun and entertaining- oh I’ll admit I was raging mad for like a hour but after beating it- man it makes it much much easier and much more satisfying…. take your time and fail a bunch just learn the jumps so they become second nature.

It gave me a 24power/24condition/3% magic fine exotic 80 “Mad King’s Slippers” Heavy with 2 halloween tonics… Note- these are all soulbound….
As far as I can tell you need to be level 1 to do everything thus far…
Honestly what devs need to do right now is provide us with atleast something to settle most players- while yes, I am extremely against the current design I’m very patient and a game developer myself. We should be able to at least get word from a developer on if they are working on a method to obtain it for certain or at least increase the rate/give us percentages. Keeping a huge mystery on this type of thing is only making more players frustrated and angry. I’m not saying we deserve the golden book of knowledge but, throw us a bone. Also- has anyone gotten the guide to the game (the book) and looked to see if theres something on legendaries in it?
I love the game… extremely disapprove of Anet’s view on gambling as necessary. You gave us Mystic Clovers are the RNG mystic forge ‘rage’ item…. why make the precursor the “I quit” part? From what I see most math points to dusk/dawn having a .1% chance from 80 rares. (Exotics unknown but, we presume not much higher). Now personally- I haven’t thrown in as much as some others have, as I really dislike gambling and that is what this feels like. I’ve placed roughly 56 rares and 8 exotics into the forge and gotten nothing. I can farm, grind, and do just as much as anyone else but, to sit and tell me that I have nearly impossible odds of getting what I want even with as much effort as I’ve put in makes me not enjoy the game.
Why not give us an actual recipe to have an assured result?! You don’t even have to tell us what it is- just tell us it exist and we’ll find it on our own.
