BP is a bunch of hackers and exploiters. I saw a bunch of thief and mesmer wall hacking into the orb castle and porting people in from the outside. Thief just pretty much teleport through walls and tried to steal the orb.
AC – Fine as it is
TA – Fine as it is
CoF – path 1 & 2 are ok, path 3 is annoying due to pugs pick up have too much communication problem at the torch light part. Mobs either repop way too fast or people don’t listen and light too early or too late.
HoTW – Bosses have way too much HP, falling asleep almost every path. The final boss fight would take almost longer to fight than the entire dungeon itself.
CoE – Fine as it is, Subject Alpha could use some redesign, fighting the dude 3 times per path and doing the same crap gets kinda old and boring. Each phase should change a little in term of characteristic/pattern and special moves or something. Also wouldn’t hurt to make each phase looks a bit different.
CM – Too much camera issues when in such a confine space. I don’t enjoy this dungeons due to half of the time I can’t even see my character.
SE – Path 1 needs some fixing, path 2 is way too long. Path 3 is ok
Arah – nice boss design but the dungeon as a whole is way too long. The rewards suck too, not to mention if it bugged at the end of the run and you can’t get the reward that would be a major turn off. Too much trash mobs in between bosses which make the dungeon very long.
Beside arah, most dungeons are doable roughly 25-35 mins with exception of some path like SE path 2, HoTW path 2.

If you play the TP right you can have enough gold for two legendary greatsword and eternity in 2 months no problem which cost roughly 1500-1700g. But the thing is you also need 2.5 million karma for both all three swords too. You’d have to choose to do one or the other to make all 3 swords. Can’t really have enough time to make money and camping for karma at the same time.
Best option he has is buy ton load of gems when it was cheap @ the 1st week of release and use all his free time to farm karma. It is very possible to get Eternity.

At the first 2-3 weeks, I was getting 120-160 FPS average on all max settings. As more patches release my FPS actually dropping to roughly 15-30 FPS ALL the time on any settings. In order for me to get better fps, I would have to refresh my screen all the time by turning on and off vertical sync every time I zone into a new area. Now I am running average of 60-80 fps. -.-
Loading screen actually take significantly more time too. It used to load instantly when I zone to a new area (when there was a huge zerg in lowbies areas), now it takes 5-10 seconds. It’s not my hardwares, i tested again with all other games with high settings and run many benchmark test, it performed like it should be.
If you think there’s no different between 30/60/120/160 fps then you are so dead wrong. The game is so much smoother when it average 100 fps. -.-;;
Just happened to my group as well, first arah now this. Two bugged dungeons in one day, wasted 3 hours on this crap. These dungeons are so broken.

While i understand that an universal token is a bad idea, why not make every set be bought with 60% from its main dg and the other 40% distributed among the other dgs?
EX: Now, you need 210 Arah tokens for Arah shoulders.
It could be something like 126 Arah tokens plus 12 tokens from each of the other 7 dgs.If the goal of acquiring a full set dungeon gear is to be both enjoyable and rewarding, then universal tokens are a necessity. 20 universal tokens in exchange for 20 dungeon tokens.It’s a diminished return of 3:1 making daily dungeons (60 tokens) the same value as running a different dungeon path for a second time in the same day (20 tokens). I don’t see any harm in a simple system like that. We want to enjoy all the dungeons, not the same friggin one 23+ times in a row!
The best part about these dungeons are “cosmetic”. You’re doing all of these runs just for the look, the armors/weapons here don’t give you any advantage in pve or wvw. You can just pop on the AH and buy the same exact stats armors/weapons just from few hours of farming cursed shore.
Therefore the idea of these “dungeons” = all the end games gw2 has to offer is simply baffle me.
Maybe later when I wake up and download fraps. Don’t have it on my new pc and I pull out all nighter to get Temple of Balthazar to open -.-;;
There is no skill in any video game in my opinion. You really can’t test skill because at some point, the will be guides for people that don’t have the necessary “SKILL” (LOL) to achieve whatever objective. In video game all that matters really is how much time you have you can achieve anything in a video game by virtue of time.
Also legendary has nothing to do skill BTW, its designed to force the player into doing EVERY aspect of the game.
Then please explain those so call “no skill” can earn 500k a year playing sc2 or dota 2 tourney.
Or those who in pro team for FPS and earn crap load of money.
Even if you invest the same amount of time as they are, I doubt you can generate that much income from playing video game.
My brother and I worked on this for roughly a month. I’d say I rather disappointed in the special effect of this scepter, because it got NONE. It glows a little but not that much better than AC weapons. =\
Hopefully Anet add some effect to it -.-;;

“skill” and MMORPGs don’t go together, all you need is a lot of playtime. Legendary is actually not as bad as most “hard” to earn items since you do have to do a lot of the requirements for it. Like 1 million karma/gift of exploration ect..

I have a friend who got hack recently, Chaneezy.3078. He took a break from guild wars 2 for a few weeks. Around 4-6 days ago I saw him logged on and switched server, I thought it was weird so I tried to asked him what’s up but no respond even though I seen him on 24/7 since then.
Today when he came on ventrilo, I asked him what he was doing on another server. He told me he hasn’t play for weeks. He tried to log on his account but password is incorrect. When he checked the e-mail account he register with his gw2 account, it was also hacked.
He can’t recovered his account because he bought a digital copy, it doesn’t give him a code. All he has is a link sent via e-mail to verify his account when he first registered.
He also submitted a ticket: 121011-001561

Most dungeons are fine the way they are, some dungeons need a bit a tweak here and there but nothing major. All dungeons pretty much doable without full exotic lv 80 gears. Higher lv gears in this game doesn’t give you that much advantage like other MMOs. The problem I can see why many people are complaining is because they have to use pug to do those dungeons.
Many of the current dungeons aren’t hard, it’s more of a communication problem than the game difficulty. Many part of the dungeons required people to talk to each other and coordinate certain actions at the same time or simultaneously. This is a major problem with pug. Typing is out of date, what Anet needs to do is implemented a in game voice chat system like planetside or something for party/team/squad. Pretty much free TS/Vent in game. That would solve a lot of kittening right there.
Many of Anet alpha or dungeon test teams claimed that dungeons might be too easy at launch. The thing is, you can’t compared testers to live version. Many of these testers maybe sitting next to each other and talk to each other while playing the game. They don’t need to type. Communication isn’t much of a problem for them as it is for pugs. They actually use foods/potions to go through dungeons, foods/potions are actually very useful in dungeons but many people still don’t touch this stuff enough. Some people are just plain cheap.
The only problems with dungeons right now mainly is their reward system. It is pretty unbalance how you can do one dungeon one path in 10-15 mins (no exploit/cheating) and then another dungeon would take like 1-2 hours to complete but you still received the same amount of rewards.

When I log on my account today I received a message saying my account got terminated because I was involved in or assisted in RMT activities when I never involved in such activities.
My brother mailed me 60 gold yesterday so I can have 150 to deposit into the bank to get my gold hoarding achievement done. Less than 24 hours later send back to him 150 gold ish so he can get his achievement done. Then he sent me back 80 gold so we each hold half of the gold.
If you checked the log carefully, we transfer crafting materials, rare/exotic equipments to each other accounts all the time. All of our gold were obtain through playing the AH/dungeon runs and farming. Please double check all your log and ip. I’ve never involve in such activities to begin with.
Risk and reward in this game isn’t balance. It takes you 1-2 hours on some of the Arah dungeon path with countless death and it gives you practically the same rewards as you do some dungeon in like 20 mins with no death
It’s not about the trinity system. The main problem is the mobs/boss aggro is noobish design/coding. It aggro on one person and one person only until that person die.
Cleared all AC after the patch, no problem here.
If you are willing to transfer server. Our guild is running dungeon pretty much anytime we got people on. On average we run 10-16 hours of dungeon everyday. We have some Asian/EU/Oceanic players to keep our dungeon going even off peak time. But eventually we will slowly ease into WvW focus once we are satisfy with our PvE progression.

CoE boss isn’t bugged. You just don’t know how to kill it, my guild been doing it since forever. It doable within 35 mins.
There’s a way to finish COF in 1-2 mins run. Please fix this and if any admin wants more info please pm me, I’ll try to provide as much info I know as I can.
I have been running dungeons a lot since the patch came out to test DR system.
Here is my take on it:
Did 3 path of HOTW:
1st path 30-35 mins: 4 players got 60 tokens, 1 player got 45
2nd path 35-40 mins: 1 player got 60 tokens, 3 players got 45 tokens, 1 player got 30 tokens
3rd path 35-40 mins: 1 player got 60 tokens, 3 players got 30 tokens, 1 player got 15 tokens
Did 1 path of Crucible:
1st path 30 mins: 1 player got 60 tokens, 4 players got 30 tokens
Then we redo 1st path Crucible 30 mins: 4 players got 20 tokens, 1 player got 5 tokens.
This pattern pretty much repeat itself every reset. Only one player get properly rewarded. Other players got the shaft, some even got 5 tokens at some point.
The DR system isn’t working because right now you are limited to like 3-4 runs a day after than the system gives you like 1-15 tokens every run doesn’t matter which dungeons, which path you take whether you already did that path that day or not. Before the DR system at least you get 20 tokens consistently.
This DR system is bad, who came up with this dumb system. If you don’t want people to exploit and speed farming then fix the bug of the dungeons, not go and nerfed the rate of people getting tokens. This patch makes it so people can only do like 3 dungeons a day, afterward it gives you 5 tokens. Have you people test this crap before release it?? It’s more grindy now than it ever was.
So explain to me how dungeons are still viable part of the game when it’s so time consuming to get? So much for “We don’t want to make this game feels like a grind” hypocrite much??

This patch created more bugs than it fixed.
People need to stop crying, the dungeon is fine. My guild can clear this dungeon within 25-35 mins with no death.

Our guild is dated back to 2003, many players known each other for a very long time and been playing MMORPG since. We are end game contents oriented guild. We will do all pve aspect of the game as well as participate in WvW. We also have a small spvp group as well.
We are a medium sized guild, just recently open up to recruiting. All current members right now are old members from past games. We are looking for people who are willing to transfer to Gate of Madness or currently on it. We are also looking for members of many timezone especially European/Oceanic time zone. We will be focusing on end game contents including all end game PvE contents, we’re also focus on organized WvW contents since that’s where the fun is at.
Ventrilo is required for WvW and Dungeons.
Represent our guild at all time is also required unless you’re doing sPvP.
Older mature players are preferred (20+), our average age is 25+. We do not want to deal with teenagers.
