wanted to ask, do you actually use Giver’s gear with your Guardian? and you enjoy it? i feel it doesn’t have enough DPS at all and might be confined more to support? i guess in a group setting it’s more than fine. but what about if you’re running solo in PvE or WvW?

That build is from a guardian in my guild who went on a complete support build. It’s extremely good in a group dungeons setting since it boost everyone attack by almost double or reduced damage by like 1/3. It is not very good WvW at all since you can’t kill for kitten. Solo isn’t so bad since you can’t die, it’s so tanky that you’d likely outlast anything anyway. I personally don’t play support guardian since it isn’t my style but some people who want to play purely support guardian would be the better choice than other classes due to their high survivability and their abilities to give multiple buffs. Elementalists are also good @ support as well but most elementalists are class cannon build, rarely you’d see anyone bother with water/earth build.

My guild had an elementalist support, he was amazing @ keep the parties alive since their heal is pretty kitten good. Elementalist has better heal than guardian but die faster due to their armors, they also give less alternative buffs vs a guardian though.

Warriors support is pure crap compared to Elementalist support or guardian support. I’d rather see warrior in my party doing 15-20k a crit than carry their banners and shout.

1st build: better for pugs because too many noobs can’t stay alive.

Traits: 0/0/20/30/20

Skills: Hold the line/Stand Your Ground/ Bow of Truth/Tome of Courage or Renewed Focus.

Armor: Toughness/Healing/Boon Durations (giver)

Accessories: Power/Toughness and Healing (cleric)

Main: Staff

Secondary: Mace + Shield

Main Pros: Perm protection, 18 stacks of might, constant fury, empower heal hits for 2800-2900. Virtue of Resolve heals for 25% of everyone hp.

2nd build: better for guild-group, ultra fast dungeon runs with maximize damage dealing. Pretty much the same as above other than switch out the perm protection for 25 stacks of perm might.

Best for guardian is Scepter and Sword with Focus. I made the Shield just for complimentary look, obviously I am not going to make The Minstrel (one of the worst looking legendary out there). Everyone and their mom uses GS, that thing is overrated. Either Hammer, Staff or Sword would be the best for guardian depend on whether you want to PvE or WvW focus.

hammer and focus/scepter with greatsword…. staff is the WORSE WEAPON guardian can possibly use in a fight, unless you use it for swiftness, and yes shield is awesome looking legendary.

You’re kidding right? Staff guardian is the best support class in the game. Party with one who go support build, then you see a huge different when you’re in a party without one, constant heal and buffs (25 stacks of might every fight) :P

Greatsword damage is the highest for a guardian but the trade off for survivability isn’t worth it compared to sword&focus. Even Hammer is better because of crowd control in both pve and wvw. The sword damage isn’t that much less since you can do a crit build, you can pretty much crit every hit with a sword. It is also the best weapon for wvw for a guardian since it good for chasing people down and running away when it paired up with a focus. Great survivability, a bit less damage than greatsword and a whole lot better than GS when chasing people and running away.

No traders guild, only my brother and I originally cooperate to make legendaries. I play the AH and he farm karma/skill points ect.. But he’s lost interest in this game but we have enough gold now to generate steady income of gold on consistent basic so that camping the AH 24/7 is no longer required.

I just recorded the video, friend gonna do some editing the video tomorrow then I’ll post the video.

I’d have to finish more maps if I want to make anymore legendary. Finishing up maps is the worst part for me now, it’s boring and tedious. My fourth legendary maybe minstrel since I have Meteorlogicus, Bolt and The Flameseeker Prophecies. With the focus I have a full set I guess but it’s kinda underwhelming for a legendary focus -.-;;

Both legendary on the same character. Pictures aren’t good at showing the shield effects. You can see the glowing effect of the shield if you have high graphic settings. You can also see when the shield is drawn in combat, it has like car headlight beaming the ground below your feet. It looks better in darker area. I finish the shield the 24th this month and bolt like way way back. Working on the 4th legendary now.

I don’t like to brag but here are my 3 Legendaries in order: Meteorlogicus, Bolt, & Flameseeker. I’m a power trader myself but not gonna reveal what to do here. I earned my gold legit and no exploit.

I like the current system for TP. It’s safe and reliable, the only lame is tax fee but I can live w/ that. Anet can improve on TP by letting the players previews the items before they buy

I need to know how can we safe trade through mails cause the tax on TP is way too much on some of the expensive items for just putting it on. How can Anet detect if someone got scammed and they get gold or item back if they got scammed?

I have 2 Legendaries, Meteorlogicus & Bolt. I was world first on the scepter because I really liked the skin but other than that it doesn’t have any effects that close to Twilight, Bolt, Juggernaut, or Bifrost. People have been complaining about other Legendaries are not as cool as those 4. Meteorlogicus, The Minstrel, Howler, The Predator, Quip, Kamohoali, Kraitkin, & Frenzy, needs some major particle effects on them.

i rather see them working on the current legendaries looks than new legendaries

The only Legendaries that are worth making are the 2 Greatswords (Twilight, Sunrise), Hammer (The Juggernaut), Staff (Bifrost), & Sword (Bolt). The other legendaries need to rework to make it cooler. Hope the devs read this!

yea for some reason my last 3 Balthazars on Gate of Madness, he didn’t heal at all. But still need a bunch of people to kill him. Another tip for Necro, sometimes Balthazar will cast mass debuff, it is small green looking symbol. Necros can cast that debuff back to Balthazar and kill him 1 shot doesn’t matter what his HP% at

I actually convinced a friend to buy and play the game because he is busy, but could play from time to time. I’m afraid now every time he logs on I’ll just have to point him at some new benchmark gear. R.I.P.

I don’t wanna sound mean but your friend can buy cheap exotics that only has few less stats than Ascended gears. And for those that have extra time they can spend on other things to get better gears. I don’t see any problem with that and everyone know this from beginning when the game started:
=> Exotics > Green > Blue > White
now Legendaries + Ascended > Exotic > Green > Blue > White; suddenly people start QQ!

Um, Exotics are not cheap…

The hard part of this quest is not that it bugged but is the escort part to the temple. Most people don’t heal the npcs so they take way too much damage and that cause the morale goes down fast. Balthazar himself is easier now, he doesn’t heal himself anymore for some reason.

There are 2 ways to get the event unbugged.

1.) Lure the Champion Giant Risen walking around to them, then log off so the Giant can kill those npcs to reset the event.

2.) If some how you can’t lure the Giant to kill the NPCs, go near to those npc that are dead and use any rez skill right on top of their body.

I got this achievement pretty easy from 2 days ago. All you have to do is camp Shattered late night and u can see clearly who got crystallized. There is nothing wrong w/ this achievement.

Any more arguing is pointless. Everybody trolls & says whatever to make their kitten is bigger than everyone else. Grats to him that he got Eternity but he still die like everyone else in pvp

Let’s say he/she gets all the gold for free to get precursors dusk+dawn and all the mats. World Maps completion should take 2-3 days to get it done if your server is wining wvwvw that is. 500 Badges of Honor should take 2-3 days too if he or she hardcore wvwvw. There is no way he/she could make 2 mils Karma in less than 10 days. If you want to make sure ask he/she their total play time! They probably trolled and said 2 weeks to make them feel more pro.

As for me I play over 1000 hours and have 2 Legendaries, about to make 3. So yea, they probably trolled.

I’m not sure about you guys, the Dragons are cool looking but the fight is not epic at all and they supposed to be Champions of the Elders. Should they be as strong as The Destroyer? who decimated the entire Dwarves race. Especially Zhaitan, sure we had a fleet of warships that shot it down, but I still didn’t feel any epic fight at all and he IS the Elder Dragon. If Zhaitan was that easy, wonder how are the other 5 Elders are gonna be? cake walk!

If people want Precursors to be cheaper, maybe something like this to make it as hard maybe harder but less gold involve:

- Recipe For Precursor’s-

• 250 Obsidian Shards* (525K Karma)
• Gift Of Battle (500 Badges of Honor WvWvW)
• Gift of Dungeon (500 Tokens)
• 250 Ancient Swordblade/Scepter etc….

Oh and 1 more thing, make all the Legendaries looks cooler! Because right now not all Legendaries looks as cool as the greatswords.

Anet need to fix the other Legendaries particles and stuff first before fixing Eternity seriously. Without Eternity’s footstep, it still better than most of the others Legendaries combine!

It’s not hard to guess, not many commanders running around with legendary weapon.

Just so you know I am not on BP server, I am a GoM commander, the one with the lightning footsteps and lightning auras.

I start working on BP map @ 1 AM EST and stop at roughly 10 AM EST because BP zerg showed up and most GoM went to AR borderland because of no action on BP map.

BP HAD a lot of people roughly 3-4 AM EST, at least 25 people. At the time they decided to seige the hill from Stargrove using 3-4 trebs with everyone defending that position. At that time the Hill only had roughly 10-15 GoM there top. That wouldn’t be such a bad decision if #1 the wall were reinforce even with 4 trebs the rate of repair the wall still faster than the rate of the trebs can take it down. #2 their treb users don’t know how to aim or was blind to the GoM trebs killing them. But hey BP decided it was such a great idea to grind it out for at least an hour.

They had the force to just go hit the Bay, Garrison or any other towers at that time and they would have blow through stuff since we barely had anyone. By the time they decided to gave up on trebbing the Hill and start going for the other stuff it was too late. Reinforcement from EB and GoM pouring in roughly 7 am and just bulldozer any BP left on that map.

Roughly 7:30-8 AM ish 99% of the GoM players followed a few commanders to AR borderland and start capping stuff that’s when BP starting to wake up and zerg everything else.

PS: Trying a little too hard there.

It wasn’t that BP got no one on at night, it’s just some bright commander decided to have 20-30 of their players stay guard 3-4 trebs for like hours against barely 10 defenders. Thus leaving BP gaining nothing the entire night.

GoM got no queue line ever.

WvW needs more and better rewards, right now it’s just a gold drain. I’ve rarely get a rare lv 80 drop from wvw not to mention an exotic for a week of WvW. While I farmed cursed shore for 30 mins I get 6 rares.

With the current scores, the match up next week is likely to be the same unless one of the lower tier scores a crap load of points or one of the higher tier drop the ball really bad.
