To make enemies chilled again all you’ve got to do is un-nerf our trait for it. That was a very fun build while it lasted.

I think corruptions are in an alright place at the moment. Only thing I’d like looking at is a reduction on the Epidemic cast time. Everything else seems workable.

More important for me is a cooldown reduction on Well Of Darkness, or at least added functionality

Blood is power doesn’t need to be a stun break – it’s an issue with corruptions in general sucking and needing to be better to have such a bad impact on us.

Warhorn 4 is fine – I think the daze is better as it can’t be stopped as easily .

Minion traits are fine – none are really mandatory.

Lich form DOES have utility – knockback, aoe condi clear and boom strip, minion summon, vuln.

Vampiric is “ok”

Everything else I either agree with or are indifferent to.

I think there should be a trait that makes life blast turn into plague blast → that skill is really good, perhaps if the death tree is looked at?

Use something like gw2skills.com to show your build. It’s much more comprehensive.

Good idea? Bad idea?

Dark path could work how GS3 on warrior and FGS works where it’s a line from us that we aim and then use the skill. Change it so that we are the projectile that moves across the ground. This would mean that they can keep the rest of the skill the same.

A bit more thematic then a teleport – a rushing of darkness chasing down the prey.

I was using this for a fun build – but now I’m going to have to go back to the meta build…

One thing that is very important is the Soul Reaping “Speed of Shadows” and “Vital Persistence” traits.

These currently:

A) Increase movement speed by 25% & Reduce CD on DS by 30%
B) Life Force drains 50% slower and DS skills recharge 15% faster.

Shouldn’t the movement speed go with the Life force draining slower? That makes spectral builds viable and makes more sense seeing as if you want to be travelling faster in DS, you don’t want to run out of DS that quickly.

Ok, using that_shaman’s specialisation tool it’s so easy to see that the Curses tree is a complete mess.

Why is there a gain fury when entering Death Shroud minor, which is a flat damage increase, when there are no non condition damage Grandmasters and none of the master traits are anything I’d want to take, unless I was running a warhorn. Terror and Lingering Curses clash too hard for sure, although I think Parasitic Contagion can stay there.

Why do I have to specialise in both Death Magic and Soul Reaping to get both Staff bonuses.

Deathly Invigoration better have a 2k heal at base for it to be a Grandmaster trait that does absolutely nothing for us except for those running minion builds.

Otherwise, looking at the changes via this format I actually like a few of them – it definately buffs the class, but compared to everything else I can’t say. It doesn’t fix any of our problems and the issues with certain trait lines just mean there are very little ways to run the class at base.

Death Shiver and Spectral Mastery should swap places, they are in the wrong lines in my opinion.

Putting 3 Traits, Lingering Curse, Parasitic Contagion and Terror, that you would want to have to play a condition build in the same GrandMaster Area really hinders the (Condition)Power of the Necromancer build options. While all the traits are powerful I believe that these should not be on the same row conflicting with each other. Terror could easily move to another slot, replacing “Reaper Precision” as a Master Trait, prehaps putting a “Your health bar is affected by healing skills while in deathshroud” trait where terror used to be.

I feel as though Unholy Feast could get a small buff, removing 2 boons instead of 1 as well as becoming a blast finisher.

I also think that the “Vampiric” Siphon trait could be improved slightly by perhaps 4-5 points of damage, as well as “Vampiric Precision”. “Transfusion” could also do with a buff to the amount that it scales with Healing Power. In general all the siphoning ability’s could do with partial very small buffs, 3-5 damage. (And on this note, perhaps add new ways for people to aquire Zealots Gear, perhaps adding it to one of the Dungeon Weapon/Armour Merchants in Lions Arch – some of those already overlap.
Deathly Invigoration should also heal you, perhaps making it so that it works in Deathshroud, or so that it heals on entry and exit? or just exit.

“Shrouded Removal” in Death Magic could be buffed to remove 2 conditions, or perhaps adding a stun break to entering Deathshroud, like “Foot In The Grave”. I feel as though the “Death Nova” trait could be switched with a changed Flesh of The Master, which takes the “Minions deal more damage” trait – becoming an epic grandmaster. (On the note of minion, is there a chance of a slightly better AI being implimented?) Unholy Sanctuary could do with better healing power scaling. Even with full Cleric Gear the heal is quite frankly not worth the trait. If it was to stay the same, it could swap places with Flesh Of the Master, Necromantic Corruption could swap places with an improved 15/25% Deadly Strength making a more balanced Death Magic Tree.

I’m sure more will be added in the comments, those were just the recommendations that popped into my head as I read through the rough changes. I’m sure what we saw won’t be what is implimented, but I’d like to hear what everyone else thinks.
