The interesting thing is the guilds that just stated they don’t have any interest in GvG have their members flooding the area when GvG actually happens. The walls are usually lined with a good healthy population from each of the servers watching the GvG.
I think most guilds are afraid because of their ego and arrogance and the list of excuses when you lose is limited. But I think guilds only gain reputation and respect by GvGing. Surprisingly, there’s very little bashing and a lot of mutual respect in the GvG scene, I’d say a lot more than the WvW scene without question. The WvW scene is a cesspool compared to the GvG scene, there’s a lot more honor with the GvGers compared to the WvWers.
When HzH came out to GvG CHOO and TW, map chat and TS was full of nothing but respect and praises to those guys. HzH is at the top of SoR’s respect list when it comes to JQ I feel because of it. Even now, in WvW when HzH is seen or mentioned, people give them a lot of respect because of it.
We have nothing but respect for you guys/gals as well. We were practicing our new top secret meat shield tactic

Huge shoutout to the fighters on all sides who played EB this afternoon. THAT is how WvW should be done, and well done from all commanders for making that happen. Have to tip my hat big time to BG side, you guys had an EPIC showdown on your keep, and no matter how hard we tried to topple your last holdout, you shut us down and kept on point. Was only a matter of time before JQ got ADD and hit us, you held out till that happened.
As to the GvG chatter, my statement was my opinion. Guess what, everyone has one. Why do you care about mine? My team trains for WvW, not GvG. Our builds and strategies are intended to fight all kinds of fights, terrain, enemies, and most importantly keep offense/defense. GvG is specifically for fighting another guild in an open field somewhere, which while we love the clashes we get while fighting some enemies, we have been known to (more than once) feign a hit on an enemy to instead blitz around and wipe their siege (or take a point).
That is in essence why we play. TSYM is focused on WvW, and the randomness, craziness, imbalancedness, madness that is an average afternoon in there. You can pipe on about skill all you want, but you know what WvW skill is? Ask the JQ commander how, with the weakest field presence of all the servers on EB, he was able to keep not only SM, but dominated PPT on the map the whole time!
THAT was skill. He didn’t own anyone off the map, he didn’t stand strong in front of the enemy army, he played smart, tactical, and careful. As a result, he did his server proud by building a strong PPT.
Once again, my opinion. If you disagree with it that is your prerogative. My gauge of skill is different than yours. Perhaps instead of retaliating with a counter to my opinion, you should ask yourself why it bothers you so much?
Map tactics is our thing. We did however GvG TW and choo. We thought we may not see each other again for a while and did it out of respect for them and their server. We also learned heaps from it so it was worth it. That is the area we feel we have left to grow in. I was shadowing another commander helping out in EB on Saturday when I noticed you and your guild hit WC extremely fast after contesting our keep wp. Then saw all of TSYM sit in WC so the same tactics could not be used from the night before. Great job in adapting on your behalf

Not even sure why the KnT dude went crazy and started flaming SoR’s TS in the thread, some people forget it’s just a game and just got to relax and breathe sometimes.
It’s going to be another great week, have fun JQ, BG, SoR. And JQ keep kicking that kitten and bringing the pain, awesome to see.
I stated my conclusions based on facts given by SOR members. There was no flaming, I even apologized to a person in one of my posts.
Also I found out why bg wasn’t ranked for anyone interested. It because you have to apply to be on that website and we didn’t apply. So that rank for the SOR ts is based off of other servers that applied to be listed.
This means that no conclusions can be made about population based on those ranks.
So that ends this discussion

I would just like to say had fun in EB last night. I personally feel that KnT is one of the most dangerous guilds in Tier 1. Fortunately for us we did not have to go heads up with you too much

Greetings to all da EBers last night from TSYM!
Wanted to thank all the BG, JQ, and SoR that were on the map during shuffle. Im really glad the pressure started to let up, because honestly, I would have stayed up for that action indefinitely.
Mad props to the JQ commander, your ability to manipulate the map last night was masterful. You had the weaker of the 3 fielded presences, and maintained top PPT ALL NIGHT. Aside from the trebbing you did at SM once you got secure, everything else was awesomely diplomatic. GJ and hope to face off with you again very soon.
To the BG commander, nice field technique. I think we had more epic clashes in one night than we have been seeing in full weeks. Hats off to you for not falling back and dropping arrow carts every time you see red. Your team had the training, builds, and formations to be able to dance open field, a skill most guilds seem to be avoiding for the favored “drop arrow carts and lol” strategy.
And lastly, to the grub. You know you had it coming. You know what you did. I don’t think we need to go any deeper into it, do we?

I really appreciate that on behalf of our guild. I saw TSym and KnT on the map and knew it was not going to be as easy for us as I thought it would have been. Our excellent commander Ben Sheets started I usually get the left overs
Also saw CA running quite well. TSym even though in high pressure fights for most of the time managed to supply starve the hell out of us at SM on the opposite side of the map at the same time. Had great fun my hat is off to you and your guild.

Insane rumor going around and i hope it’s not true i mean HoD is already OP enough as it is being that 1 of them can take on 3 of any NSP and SF players but is it true that XOXO and KING’s leaders r planning on moving their guilds to HoD cause that is utter nonsense if it is so keep an eye out on the rankings if HoD suddenly hits tier 1 again >>

Ok so you are taking over EB when the map is a ghost town and have almost no resistance. You have far too many Omega their damage is crap for gates. Alpha golems should only use skill 1 to attack it is the fastest rate of dps. You really need to work at having golems stack and port them across the map and to gates. Always clear cannons and oil before moving golems to a gate. If this was in tier one you would not have made it to the first tower
And if tier 1 players were in tier 7, they would have transferred to tier 1 and never taken the keep.
We have actually been in Jade Quarry since beta but I can see why you would say that in general

I think you may have this twisted. As for your wvw community many of your power guilds have not been there very long hence the community you speak of is not long standing. As I said it was the act of several and the entire server paid for it. Read closer. It may have saved you from typing this novel of a reply.

JQ had 60+ SoR had 60+ BG ddin’t even have 40 ya perfect sense attack blue that at that time was 40ppt. Then you look at the map JQ was Green, SoR was Red, EBG was all Green/Red perfect sense for 160 players to go after 1 blue keep? Doesn’t matter, but to the players that come here and are saying there isn’t coop going really are amazing me.
JQ these days dominates the #1 position in Tier 1 “last week excluded of course”. Not only did BG beat us last week, many ppl from BG disrespected our server more than normal on the forums and by guesting to our server to troll. JQ as a server has never really been that way to others. We are making sure BG are paid back for the disrespect in these cases. Though it was only a select several that were this way. Their actions represent their server and their server will pay the price for it.
This. I think BG has a bit of a poor reputation because of incidents in the past, and maybe even current behavior. It’s unfortunate that your server’s community as a whole is affected. So when you guys get a little bit of dirt on your face, it makes razzing you all that much sweeter.
Ohkay, so you’re saying people that are supposedly from Blackgate are guesting into JQ and talking down on your server; but how do you know they are from Blackgate? Are they telling you they are from Blackgate to get your feelings hurt and make you want to attack us? Have you ever thought that maybe these particular people are from SoR or another server and just like to talk kitten on JQ?
Before you say something bad about the entire Blackgate population, please think about it first before you come to a conclusion generalizing an entire server as being disrespectful. We’ve had this is happen to us in LA almost on a weekly basis as well but we aren’t posting it on the forums or letting it get to us since we spend a majority of our time in WvW & not in LA.

The only people that I can imagine would view Blackgate as having a poor reputation would be the ones that we have won against in previous matches and can’t stand losing to our server; particularly SoR (since we have a 13-0 record against them & I’m not at all saying this won’t change anytime soon since you guys are really close
Also, Blackgate has a fantastic reputation and an amazing community which is why we are so attractive to guilds that are thinking about transferring out of their server and into ours. Ya’ll can even ask the servers that we fought in the past about what they think of Blackgate; like Fort Aspenwood or even Kaineng & Tarnished Coast. We kept a thread alive for like 3 weeks with two of those servers and you can even see in our recruitment threads that they are recommending for guilds to come to Blackgate because of how respectful our community is.
To finish this off, I hope everyone understands that Blackgate does not have any hard feelings towards JQ or SoR. We don’t go out into WvW everyday with a mentality of “all we want to do is take down JQ.” Rather, we just focus on taking keeps or towers regardless of who owns it and turning the entire map blue & having some fun battles. I am looking forward to seeing you all on the battlefield, good luck! :’)

Obviously you’re delusional in acting like BG and JQ are any different in who has a “long standing community” in the " Power guilds". Are you talking about you got the Free transfer mega bandwagon 3 weeks before Agg and later Merc paid to transfer to Blackgate because certainly you can’t be talking about the ones that beat you like HB, KnT, Urge, Thai, EA, LotD, RIOT, ICoa…..etc and the hundreds of Pugs/smaller guilds that have helped for months?

You do realize that you did not beat us without those guilds transferring right?And now you are 3rd with them. We got PRX and SF. PRX is casual so only SF are here in force from that transfer. It’s all good JQ. Blackgate would have likely done the same if the roles were reversed. Hopefully this week’s reality check will quiet some or most of our vocal minority that feels the need to talk crap and taunt our opponents and we can work on getting back to business. Lesson to all .. don’t taunt and disrespect your opponent unless you’re willing to have a target placed on your back. What’s funny is, the players doing the gloating in LA probably put in a fraction of the effort of those of us who are out there every night trying to make good things happen.

Enjoying the JQ glitching on their BL, great times had by all.
If you are going to call out JQ for supposedly glitching at times when we have almost no presence in our BL, I can always pull our people from BG Borderland to SoR Borderland. Then you will not be in ours anymore
