I really liked Tybalt. He was by far one of my most favorite characters. He seemed real .. had problems and short-comings as well as a funny side. Whoever wrote Tybalt’s dialogue did a great job. So I was really sorry to see him “eliminated.” My character didn’t even seem that upset about it. Anyway, I add my moment of silence.
In one of my story instances my character is introduced to a largos who I had never heard of before. Did I miss something in the earlier story missions? I looked up the largos in the DB and found out they’re a race of sea creatures I guess. If anyone has more information about them or saw something early on in the personal story about them I’d like to know…maybe I missed something important. My character acts like she knows who this NPC is….. in fact she’s “honored” to meet her. I was expecting some kind of explanation from Trahearne about them .. but he is reluctant to say much. I just thought it was odd to introduce a character with basically no background as though it’s assumed we know who this/they are. Characters come an go so quickly that it’s hard to keep track of them all. I’m sure trying to create a multitude of personal story options that all blend and mesh must be a challenge.
I agree with other posters that there isn’t as much connection to the story as one might hope for. I was really getting to like my faction’s partner… and then he’s killed off. Again later in the story another partner and another death. Gee…every time I partner with someone they end up dying. Both of the characters who end up dying had personality. Then I’m left with Trahearne who never inspired me. I find him to be very bland and boring. If he were to die, I wouldn’t care. Another huge issue … maybe I missed some dialog or information early on…was when an NPC is introduced that as a player I’ve never heard of before. A new race I guess. I immediately tried to search the DB for information but it was sparse. Yet my character seems to know of this NPC and is even “honored” to meet them. It really bothered me that things were just added on without previous development. I tried questioning Trahearne about this particular NPC and he says he can’t share any details.
I think it would be nice if we could replay the missions. I remember in GW1 that there were things I missed the first time around. Once I knew more about Tyria and the characters involved, everything made a lot more sense.

I play a ranger and they certainly have a wide range of conditions to apply. I don’t know how they compare to necros, thieves, engineers, etc. but with a short bow, axe/torch combination along with some traps I can apply weakness, daze, cripple, cold dmg, burning, poison, bleeding all in a matter of seconds. =)
I hope not … in other games I’ve played gambling was just a way of scamming other players. I think it would be very hard to run an “honest” gambling game.
I noticed that the higher your level the more you pay for waypoint use. At first I was using waypoints a lot, but then when I noticed the increased fee I decided I could save some silver by walking. And as pointed out, you can collect resources as you go. I do think they are a bit high. You can travel to the mists pvp area for free and then use the portal there to get to Lion’s Arch. That will at least get you to one of the major cities at no cost. I think income is a bit too low at this point. It would be nice to have a little more gold for buying crafting resources like those tiny claws, scales, etc. But once the economy gets better established it will probably all balance out.
I play a ranger and I use conditions and critical damage. Maybe it’s better to put all points into condition damage or critical damage. I have tried to balance my points right now until I figure out how all the traits and attributes really end up affecting gameplay.
I have noticed slow response time for the F2 special pet ability. If I double click the icon above the skill bar, there seems to be quite a delay in using the skill. Sometimes I can’t tell if the pet actually responded to the command. So now I’ve tried using the F2 key, and that seems to be better although there can sometimes still be a delay. Perhaps it’s because the pet can’t start the using it’s special skill until it’s completed the skill it’s in the middle of using.
I don’t know if any lists have already been put together. However, you can go to the GW2 wiki and search the resource like lemons for instance, and it will tell where you can get those. I’ve looked up several that way. =)
