hey rit, nice job holding down EB and stonemist this week, fantastic job. We’ll have to join you one night to get in on the plowing.
So it seems arena net are pretty fast at fixing my posts, not so fast at fixing stuff that needs to be fixed.
fix it, fix it, fix it, fix it.
ET is to much for us in the mornings. They gain at least 3-5k every day during early hours. The zerg never stops….
just login after the server restart Tuesday and win.
Because elementalists give me bad feels bro. Feedback doesn’t work on them like it does on rangers and then I die
Srsly though without the damage cap AoE would become stupidly OP in WvW. You just need moar eles + Time Warp.
But yeah downed is incredibly annoying but it is fun waiting for people to come in and rez their downed friends and then smashing them as well.
It would discourage zerging, i dont see the problem here.
id also be happy with a limit of 10 players.
This is a medieval fantasy game, as such the user interface has been thrown back into the dark ages of gaming too.
If you’re a 5 man group up against 40 then your AoE hitting only 5 people is the least of your worries.
This is just a simple way of putting a damage cap on AoE which is perfectly reasonable. WoW did the same thing albeit with a different mechanism and no-one felt the need to complain about that.
what happened to you man…
RAISE THE LIMIT I SAY! 50 people stupid enough to group up under my lavafont should die, instantly, also remove the downed state its annoying when trying to take on larger numbers….I CANT FINISH THEM ALL THAT FAST!
BTW, no sarcasm, i hate zergs, they should die by my AOE as they’re inferior life forms, i shouldn’t have to waste as much time as i do in dealing with them.
just so people know we were the best guild next to underseige on Darklands.

an amazing achievement.

Im on break now, their will has been crushed already.
bugged on henge since…forever…got 600k karma to spend… >:/
Daish forked out money for gems, lots of money.
Daish became a commander and fulfilled his dream of finding friends online.
Suddenly more commanders appear.
The pugs realise Daish has no clue and they can instead follow some with with an IQ higher than 10.
Daish’s squad becomes empty.
Daish no longer has friends.
Daish gets sad.
Daish cries on forums.
Daish Daish Daish :-(
You would think i would get over sipping Daish tears, but like most good drinks, they simply get better with age.
People here are misinformed, HOD ALWAYS loses in NA primetime.
HOD is getting rolled, our americans are sucking again, like last week. HOW WILL WE OVERCOME SBI?!?
The terrible HOD americans are loosing to the superior pvp forces of SBI again it seems.
C: You’re not going to get your 2000 rating shoulders this week.
What are these shoulder Sky?
They’re symbolic of your might as a warrior, when you get to 2000 rating you are awarded with broad shoulders. Which you are then required to use further in an effort to carry lesser humans transferring to your server victory. Its more of a burden than a prise IMO.
SF: 183,080
DH: 176,911
SoR: 168,322Can’t really post the winner yet…….
Nice.
Some cool posts here by our enemies, alot of tears which i like. if you are crying though I would like to ask you, what are the tears from? is it:
A: Because a you’re loosing at fantasy video gaming. The scoreboard says so.
B: You somehow managed to loose your spine. This could explain why there is so many posts from random’s who seem to lack the physiology to post the guild they represent.
C: You’re not going to get your 2000 rating shoulders this week.
D: Other(please state): _______________________
(Please note that anything regarding night capping falls under answer A)
Yours answers will be appreciated. Ill be back later, iv gotta go plow migmugs in preparation for our party tomorrow where we will be serving victory fries and The tears of our enemies.
Should transfer 2 kaieng IMO, 2 months of fighting backwater servers to get back into the top tier, sounds fun.
would swap elite for utility, thats how kitten is is.
can anybody confirm if there is problems with the talents:
Arcane precision: iv never seen a random condition applied
Burning Precision: this worked in beta for me but now it never procs.
Thoughts: im using a sigil of fire that has an on crit chance, this could be causing issues? i might try with a different weapon.

While not the most feasible option i guess could you not set undeployable zones for catapults behind doors so they cant be deployed there? I understand this may effect players that are trying to use them legitimately though.
something needs to be done to keep players out there and fighting, its pretty clear the score doesn’t do that. I think something like this would.
Let the war of the whiners, BEGIN!
yea, this has been broken for so long, if they cant atleast fix the bug, reset the servers daily.
its broken on henge now too.
The only time HOD has queues is when we’re winning, there was no queues Monday or Tuesday night except for EB.
Still looking for more people!
yea it hought the same, made my own thread about it acouple of days ago too:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/pvp/wuvwuv/Is-a-single-goal-and-win-condition-part-the-problem-here/first#post198614
it used to be about the PvP, now its about winning.
I played planetside for years, never herd of anybody complaining about night capping. its only now that arenanet have introduced a scoring system and thus win condition that people now care. their goal in wvw is now to win at fantasy video gaming via score and if they dont do that then it seems they just dont come back. to pvp.
Well if thats the case, HOD has declared victory.
Lets just say, if there was a way to bottle and then market tears of our enemies, HOD would be very rich.
alright, iv fed on todays tears and im ready for another night of night capping, thats the plan until about 7pm anyway, by then we expect to have achieved full pacman and we will go back to patting ourselves on the back about how awesome we are and how we totally owned your doors and guards, n00bs.
If by sizable you mean around 40, then yes; sizeable indeed.
If multiple 200+/100+/40-50+ member guilds can’t field over 40 people, then the issue isn’t your population.
Oceanian – AUS, Harlequin – AUS, Conquest – AUS, Resonance – AUS, Nocturnal – AUS, Philippine Heroes, Fury of Order – Chinese.
And that’s just going off of those listed as part of AA, unless these guilds have moved on and haven’t updated the database.
yea lets break that down:
Conquest, no registered member count, but the fact that you can view their activity on the forums and last active date, HOLY kitten thats alot of people logged in in the last 3 days.
foo on GW2 guilds say they have 200 members, its also intresting that they ahve a seperate guild for recruits, i did see a handful of themout last night, but not the numbers you expect from a 200 person guild.
Harlequin gives no active numbers, but the roster on their websites states 181, they’re multi gaming but surly they can muster 50 players for this.
Nocturnal states they have 120 members
Oceanian states they have 120 also
Piony heros im not sure on but i believe they have around 60 players and from what im told are more hardcore players.
resonance state no numbers, but iv seen raids of about 30 of them, my estimates puts them at close to 100 members to achieve that.
TAs Oceanic roster:
The Elite: 80
DIE: 100
TRF: 40
Synapse: i dunno, probably like 200
Yaki: 120
and we also brought VW which have about 30 people and CRS that have around 100 i think.
I saw none of those guilds out there last night except foo in small numbers, wth is the go, seriously?
didnt see any of the ET guilds tonight and we were on 2 maps tonight after we got over sbi borderlands we went over to green.
@cardboard box, the guilds arnt asleep, this is their prime they’re just not showing up. and also IOJ and SOS are better fights, despite their numbers i know Southern cross and TKG atleast have the balls to get out there. ET just seems like a bunch of weekend warriors.
(edited by SKYeXile.2716)
I think its pretty cool making comments about how bad servers are when you dont display your guild or server, so manly of you.
For reference: its about as manly as my level 1 draeni female priest. …in wow.
wtf is going on ET? i need people to kill, you have like 7 +100 member guilds where the hell are they? send IoJ or SoS in, this showing is pathetic.
what other bracket is worth talking about?
topic is a non issue, the game is 1 month old at this point yo still need to give the game time to sort out so servers with high oceanic pops are matched with eachother. which is happening now.
Yea as already stated, AA has brought more oceanics than TA, the difference once again can be summarised in you youtube video.
200 member guilds fielding 20 people in primetime? :/
Time zone: +10 UTC
Primary Location: East Coast Australia.
Server: Henge Of Denvari
Short description: Tactically offensive hardcore WvW.
Member Target: Field 20-25 in primetime AU
Website: trf-guild.com
Recruitment Contact: Xile(SKYexile.2716), Chrien, Mawl.
Established in 2006 TRF is a hardcore open PvP guild. We started up the guild in WoW as Future Crew(Jubi’thos) but renamed ourselves TRF for WAR where we became the dominant order guild on Darklands. No game since then has deserved our full presence but for GW2 we have returned and our main focus is WvW.
We are a small guild in comparison to most, we value having a small tight knit roster of good highly active players over sheer numbers. We wish to field 20-25 in AU primetime, for that our full roster won’t be over 50 players. We’re an offensive and tactical guild, we move fast and don’t stay in fixed locations. We overcome our enemies by superior skill, communication and by better use of positioning and terrain.
TRF is a member of Titan Alliance on Henge of Denvari. We work very closely alongside The Elite and DiE, some of our fiercest competition in WAR, along with other TA guilds that share or have members still online in our primetime.
Currently in major need of:
Support guardians. However we will look at taking anybody of any class.
Recruit process:
Make an account on our forums and set your rank as seeker when applying.
Post an app using our template and answer the questions in full with decent sized responses.
Your app will be scrutinised by our members and officers, and further questions asked.
If we like your app and responses you will be given our vent info invited to join our groups for PvP.
If we still like you and you us after playing with us for a few nights you will be invited to TRF as a trial.
Rules:
1. Don’t do anything that is going to reflect poorly on the Guild.
2. You must be on Ventrillo and have a working Microphone when in PvP.
3. Members should respect each other, however if a problem does occur with another member an officer should be contacted.
4. You must not be a active member of any other guild in GW2.
5. Members are expected to flexible with their specs and spec appropriately for the task at hand.
6. No forum trolling. (This doesn’t mean no posting, it means you can post, but do so tastefully)
What is the main focus of the guild?
Our main focus is WvW PvP.
How large will the guild be?
We’re currently looking at having a roster of 50 players and fielding 20-25 in primetime AU.
Is this a Hardcore or Casual guild?
We’re a hardcore guild; most of our members play at least +40 hours per week, generally playing every night for a decent amount of time.
Do you have specialisation requirements?
We don’t. We expect our members to have an appropriate spec at all times and take the initiative to change specs by themselves without being asked.
What are the guild raid or PvP times?
We don’t have any set PvP times, thats for casual guilds. If you join a hardcore WvW guild, and you’re on at night, you’re expected to be in PvP. Our main activity times are from 5pm through to 12am everyday of the week. We naturally have increased activity during the day on weekends.
Does TRF plan on doing anything besides WvW?
In off time we do other things like instances, but typically if we’re not in WvW, its because we’re in queue for WvW.
But you’re on HOD, thats a zerg sever.
Yes, yes it is. But it was our zerg server first. If you want to troll us and be all like: “kittenol, skilful guild on henge, roftl zerg” you sir are a dbag, and would fit in great within TRF and should apply.
(edited by SKYeXile.2716)
HoD is such a HUGE server with large alliances and “Bandwagoners” yeah there are a lot there you cant deny it, that they have the fortunate advantage over anyone they go up against.
That’s true. What are you going to do about it? If Ascension Alliance was smart they would recruit some off hour guilds to ET.
Id like to hear that sales pitch, "yea bros come with us to ET, Ruin is here, but im sure things will be sweet. "
im not sure what to spend all my badges on now.
lol its so broken…we had 4 people in an instance all get in at the same time…hrm? what are the chances of that happening and nobody else in our guild getting in even though we all queued within the same second?
They may survive today, they may survive tomorrow, they wont survive the week.
I play with my AU guild and none of Future Crew, though the way we play is practically identical to FC.
Thought process on choosing server:
we figured oceanic servers or alliance servers would be at the top of the ratings, we were 100%right.
been an Australian guild obviously we have to fight other Australians, so it would be a dumb move of ours to goto IOJ or SOS with the other oceanics.
so what do we do? our original plan was just to goto some server with some supposedly good US guilds and hope for the best. we were then approached by The Elite and Sysapse, to join TA, while skeptical about joining, we came to the conclusion going with them and now DIE also as been the best choice, while it obviously leaves limited known strong oceanic PvP to fight against. theres no guarantee we would endup fighting them anyway. So the having guilds i know i can rely on watching our back is a nice and still is a good prospect.
We knew that this isnt the sort of game we we can solo and treat everybody like dbags like planetside or WAR, going in by ourselves with a roster of 40 people seemed like a dumb plan. with no guarantee we would find either decent or enough oceanics to fight to give us a challenge.
its a shame HOD is really so large but this week will be the test if we were fully right or not, it really depends on how many ET oceanics come out to play.
If you are the same SkyExile from Planetside, then IDK what to say. Where is the Sky Exile from Vanu Sovereignty, that enjoyed hot-dropping, solo, into red alerts sitting on a cap?
Have you forgotten your roots? Shame on you!
There is only one SKYeXile.
its shame HOD ended up so large, but for an oceanic guild i still see an allaince server as the best option to find good pvp.
Posting in thread iv been mentioned in.
THAT IS THE PROBLEM! I said it was the problem…GOD.
What do you want to do to fix it though? call them all soft and expect them to stay out there? maybe if if they stay out there and fight they can make the playoffs perhaps even get awarded with new jerseys and then have St. Kilda style tip touching party to celebrate their victory?
So since playing my first 3d MMO Planetside and it essentially dying, I have been on an epic quest to find “the” next game. I have searched the globe and travelled through time back to Daoc, formed my Travellers Reunited Fellowship to help in my search, we have been through the dark ages of AOC, Aion and Rift, seen the likes of WAR, gone to far distant battlefields where mechs are used to fight yet and none have satisfied. You would think i should be keen for PS2, but the thought of essentially been forced to play on AU servers is a major downer.
Awhile ago I had an epiphany on why I enjoyed Planetside so much, it wasn’t the combat, that was kitten, it wasn’t the graphics, they were worse. I believe it was that i could play the game anyway a liked and still had that sense of “winning” I didn’t care if we lost a base or tower land meant nothing to me, I played to kill people, that was my goal and as long as I accomplished that I was happy(I always did). Others I know played for land and map control or achievements, but with no true game system telling you that you won or lost you felt free to do what you liked.
In GW2, while it’s undoubtedly the best game iv played since Planetside and others Daoc i can’t help but feel with the scoreboard been jammed down people’s throats. it effects the way people play and therefore their enjoyment of the game. I feel it taking over in the way I lead raids, I really just want to fight and kill people but with the scoreboard right there every second I feel it’s a must to try to “win” at fantasy video gaming. It seems once a server gains a significant lead now the other servers just stop trying or queuing, because they already feel they have lost.
Now I don’t like complaining about something and not atleast attempting to give thoughts a solution. I think the first one needs to be, give people another goal that keeps people out there fighting and wanting to PvP. Some brief thoughts are:
Leaderboards for players / guilds in points(however that would work) and kills(thats killing blows, not assists, lets not reward zerg assisting here)
World PvP ranks, yea its probably gonna have to be a grind, or a grind then skillcheck eg xx kills in one life or something to that effect and then offer rewards like ELITE ABILTIES THAT ARNT kitten maybe and/or defiantly visual distinctive pvp gear. Perhaps some more trait points? :O
I don’t think the score mechanic should be removed, its unique here, but they should offer others things so players feel like they’re “winning” or accomplishing something, even if its not map control. I have another thought, but first i think they need people out there and stay out there so they can more accurately graph server activity.
I think their current glecko rating system is still alittle off, these systems never seem to work out well, but im not sure on what else they could use to gauge results, i think though they need to look at servers wvw and activity too though when matching and not just raw rating value. Eg: obviously servers with strong US only presence would be matched against each other while servers that have higher oceanic presences like IOJ and SOS would be match against each other, i don’t know how it could be done but im sure they could formup some sort of line graph with activity monitored each hour and then match the servers who have the least deviation from eachother.
I will now listen to your replies to my poorly typed and grammarised post, do make them quick though, in 2 hours iv gotta night cap everything in the A bracket back so I can win at fantasy gaming.
Has anybody given any thoughts to the troops overseas though and when they login to try to play? they would be playing off peak hours too.
Another half baked Daish idea.
but, but, having a raid encourages zerging, the open group system with a commander icon on the map is a much better system to discourage zerging.
