I personally dont use the MF Stones because they do not mimic the rest of the items you place in the MF, if going for PreC. I also dont use them for MF Salvage Kits because after making these and comparing the results with the Rare version (Masters Salvage Kit) from the General Merchants over hundreds of item salvages, my salvage rate for ectos, sigils, and runes was complete garbage for the MF Kit while the rare version was stellar by comparison. I don’t have the numbers anymore but i remember my results for the MF Kit salvaging ectos was an average of 1 per kit use while the Masters Salvage Kit from Merchants averaged 2 ectos per kit. I get 3 ectos on such a regular basis from salvaging rares with the Rare kit that it still amazes me.

Best way to accumulate t6 mats?

My method is as follows: Do your weekly Guild Accommodation granting events. Guild Rush, Trek, JP, Bounty, w/e. Some grant accommodations, some do not. Use those accommodations to purchase Heroes Banners. Go into EotM. Check out the commander/zerg and see if the map has a solid rotation of node swapping going on. Hopefully, the map isn’t full of useless halfwits that want to zerg vs zerg on a karma train map. If it isn’t going well then switch maps. If it is going well link Hero Banner in chat and let the map know its at spawn. Coordinate this with the commander so time and progress isn’t wasted.

Utilize any buffs you can. Guild buffs, food buffs, gemstore karma buffs, etc… to stack karma increase. Then karma train like its the end of the world. Be polite to your commanders and zergs but try to keep everyone on track and avoid enemy zerg confrontations as much as possible. Maybe buy your own commander tag and learn the ropes to lead your own k-train.

The more zergs confront each other on the battlefield the more likely it is that one force will begin to turtle/defend keeps halting a great deal of progress. This can be extremely frustrating for people that have little time to play during the week and want to make the most of the game.

You can make a great deal of karma this way which can then be used to either convert into any material regardless of tier. There are a few forum posts consolidating info on karma conversion as well as some posts on Reddit that are useful. You can also convert karma into Obsidian Shards which you use to make mystic clovers. Making mystic clovers gives you a great deal of T6 mats. Even if you don’t need mystic clovers this is still a great way to make those mats in bulk.

The key to this depends on keeping people focused on karma training. Many commanders don’t understand that if you force zerg battles on EotM karma train map then the karma train will slowly jump back into WvW maps upsetting a large portion of the population that care about the scores in WvW.

This is just my personal favorite way as it seems to me to be the fastest method as long as your team can stay focused.

Things we all agree on

Something we can all agree on is in the requesting of a certain bit of information. Why is it that some accounts consistently, on an almost but not quite daily basis, receive ascended box drops AND precursors while other accounts have NEVER received these drops even though they all do the same exact content at the same time?

I am toying with the idea of hosting a streaming contest later this year to show that the drops, both from mob body loots and chest loots are tied more to a hidden value within particular accounts rather than Magic Find % or pure RNG.

Ready Up: Balance Philosophy - 6/13 @ Noon PDT

I just posted a topic on this. My thought on balance is that balance should be entirely focused around the dodge mechanic. Meaning stability and immunity should be removed from the game or severely limited and on very long cool-downs. I am not an expert warrior by any stretch of the imagination but i don’t think that warriors currently need any help other than with there ability to deal with being constantly blind as well as dealing with enemies always being immune to damage, knock downs, knock backs, etc… I really feel like these three items are what is limiting the warrior.

Stability and Immunities

As a warrior, when i jump into WvW and even in Spvp, i like to fight. I like to jump into the fray and get to work on people. I love the skills that the warriors have at their disposal(with the exception of banners but that’s just a personal dislike of pulling a stick out of the sky:P)

My problem is that in all of my builds that i have tried so far, I cant hit anything. I am always blind. Even when I hit something with the intention of interrupting, disrupting, knocking down, etc… my targets, usually all of them, are completely immune. The amount of up-time for stability and immunities on all the players I face off against is insane. I understand that most of the game is designed around team effort and that you should always be a part of a team that has your back as you have theirs. I just haven’t found a way to be supportive to my team with my character in pvp type scenarios for the most part. I keep wondering if it is something I am missing or if I am doing something wrong. I find myself disliking all of my builds and play styles because i feel so useless.

Warriors have some amazingly fun skills. Mace #5 skill, Hammer #4 and #5, Earthshaker, Stomp, Kick, Bulls Charge. These are all fun skills that are basically useless for the most part because for about 90% of every fight I am in whether its WvW or Spvp they have zero effect.

Anyways, onto my question. I guess I have a few separate questions.

How are other warriors countering being eternally blinded?
How are other warriors countering the seemingly infinite up-time of stability and immunity that everyone is running with?

My last question is simply this: Are stability and immunity mechanics truly needed in the game? To me they negate the need for dodge on some classes. So what am I missing? Thanks in advance!

Guild cooperation in crafting precursors is an amazing idea. I think this would allow for a great setup for when they release guild halls. A neat way for guilds to earn gold to purchase things.

Currently i feel as though crafting Legendary and ascended items is a bit overly complicated and unnecassarily time consuming. Some will say it is so that when you complete it you will feel as though you earned it or that the effort itself feels legendary. I wholeheartedly disagree. Should it take time? Sure! Should it require you to engege in different aspects of the game and visit different areas? Absolutely! Should it make you feel like its a terrible burden? No!

Im a little over halfway through making my first legendary and i already dont feel like its legendary or special anymore. The only feeling i have about it is: unnecassary. I just cant feel anything other than that. I didnt even know that it was an emotion.

Im going for it because of the convenience of stat swapping as well as the agony resist slot it will provide as waiting on ascended drops is just insane as RNG is a friend of no one.

I also feel as though being in a guild is really just another chat to read. Yes, talking with friends and coordinating guild mates is awesome. Guild mission and rewards is great! Guild boosts are nifty. In the end, though, i think guilds could play a larger role in the game and have more practical functionallity.

To tie both of these together I propose a guild crafting function to ease the horrible pain that is The Legendary grind. Maybe for every ten ore i gather one ore is donated to the guild crafting service(GCS) to help others either build up their crafting or to help them build their legendaries and ascended gear. Maybe for every 20 lodestones i loot one is placed into the GCS. For every 50 ingots i make one goes int the GCS.

Obviously, this is just me spitting out ideas and i am sure, like a great deal of people, i will have complete sets of legs and ascended gear before anything remotely useful is implemented to help with the conviluted gear crafting grind. However, i would really like to not see others in the future experience this overwhelming torment.
