Warrior – The New Burninator! Strongbad would be so proud!
Guardian – Burn for you, heal for me, block for me and uh…sorry Im all out of gifts.
Most definately some smaller maps. This would be awesome. However, they dont all have to be outdoors. They can be completely indoors like the inside of storming an actual castle. Clearing the dungeons, the throne room, the halls, the royal chambers, the kitchens, etc… or holding these positions and points from invaders.
You could Queue up for it. Then be randomly assigned to to a 5 man team that is part of a large 15 man team. 3 5 man teams could start by holding certain areas of the castle from invaders then after round one they could move to set up their own more personal defensive positions within the castle, then in round 3 they could be forced to complete an all out death match over every inch of the castle.
The points could be used to deliver something into Borderland maps similar to the way EotM delivers supply.
Stomps should not be considered for points unless the points can be calculated from the down, itself. Certain servers are becoming notorious for Alt-f4’ing upon downing. This past week about 7/10 players on average I have killed are logging to prevent stomps.
Yea a continuous supply upkeep cost on the whole location should be implemented for all sites. I think this would be a nice balancing option to help out with siege disablers.
Yea, I agree with the Wind Mill. It is nice and open with plenty of fighting area. Another greath place to duel is in Obsidian Sanctum. The Arena in there is nice and it also has great perches for spectators to sit on well above the fight so that they dont get accidentally tagged. Why the OS arena hasnt become more popular as an underground fighting/brawling/dueling tournament location, I have no idea.

We have strong male characters, they just need to be utilized. We need some of the female characters to take the lead. And for the sake of all that is good in the universe we need to kill off some of the cast. Queen Jenna needs to perish heroically standing up for her people at the hands of a centaur high shaman during an attack/raid in which Divinity’s Reach falls almost completely. The alliances that Scarlet formed need to be brought into the fold and convinced to help with both the Centaur advance and the dragons. Trahearne needs to fall from grace as both a First Born and Pact Commander. Caithe needs to be put in a position, by someone she trusts, in which she is utilized as an assassin to kill an innocent, on faith that its for the best, regardless of whether it is or isn’t. Zojja needs to be dealing with conspiracy and deceit within Metrica and Rata Sum. Eir needs to focus on trying to bring the Kodan into the fight against the dragons and the centaur (primarily the centaur, who are somehow threatening or upsetting the balance of the Mist). Logan needs to travel to Cantha in order to set up security in preparation for Queen Jenna’s arrival to request aid from Cantha in the fight against the dragons. Finally, I think Trahearne needs to redeem himself by battling against the Pale Tree’s Avatar after he learns of her corruption by Mordremoth. Phew… just some thoughts.

The Season 1 recap cinematic is linked in game somewhere, i thought. Not sure where.
I have noticed something important about the perceived “skill” that players boast of in this game. I committed myself to learning and practicing builds and play strategies against different professions and after watching tons of videos from amazing players on web I realized something terrible. No matter how much i practice, it will amount to very little.
The skill lag is preventing me from playing at a higher level. I thought it was just me for the longest time. Then i started analyzing the videos on youtube for tempo speedups and reductions and i can literally see now that other players skills are processing much faster than mine.
I also have a serious problem with skills proc’ing the cd but with no effect/animation but not sure if this is related.
I think my comp with medium-high settings(gw2 settings) should be able to process this game just fine. I run 60+ fps. Not a high end pc but it runs most graphically intensive games flawlessly.
AMD Phenom II X6 1055T 4.02GHz
8GB RAM
Windows 7 64-bit
I trace routed a map i was on and it gives me 50ms latency up to NC Soft and then time outs after that. I have been told that this is normal so I am not too worried about it.
My internet connection 8mbps with an average test speed of 7mbps. I have been told that this is more than enough but unsure.
Is there anything i can check or any changes i can make to make my skills actually process at the moment of pressing them?
I have never experienced this in any game ever and now I know why everyone thinks other players are using attack speed hacks. Its because the client itself seems to be limiting the speed with which skills can process? This seems like one of those things where now that i have caught onto this idea everything i have ever heard from other players is starting to fall into place and make sense.

Removing white swords should come with some balancing, such as removing cannon decay as well as making Bay, Hills, and Garri way points permanently accessible even if the locations are under attack. Maybe not these two items specifically but the removal of white swords seems like a poor idea for T2 and below. Maybe implement/remove different handicap items like this at different Tier levels.
Fighting against the T1 servers during the tournament was insane. Sometimes it felt like it was just our server fighting against every other server in the game all at once. T2 is definitely where the fun is right now.
This is the way i see it. If I want to make gold or an ascended set in a timely fashion then i need to leave wvw. If i don’t want to make gold or craft anything for any characters then i like to be in wvw.
Havoc squads run in tandem with zergs. Havoc squads setup the main zerg/s for success. Good Havoc squads will lay the foundation for zerg/s to sweep maps. If your Havoc squad isn’t working, at least to some extent, with your primary force (should you have one) then it isn’t really a Havoc squad, its more of a group of people running around doing whatever they like. Sure you can take some small time towers here and there but in the end on the grander scale of WvW, this shouldn’t be a job that a small group of people can accomplish. It currently can be even with the disablers. Seige can be set in all kinds of crazy locations to attack anything and everything and do ample damage to those targets. Even if your small group isnt able to completely take a tower or keep then at least you did something much more important, which is supply starving.
Keeps and towers should be difficult to take. If you are on a low pop server where a small handful of people can take a tower then i can see disables being a problem for how you are used to doing things. I think the havoc groups are still doing what they do best. Starving the enemy and keeping them guessing. Havoc groups should not be able to take a tower unless you are on a low population server in which case your “havoc group” is your largest force.
What new kind of map or new locations on existing maps would everyone like to see?
I would like to see Stone Mist Castle outer wall remain the same but once the inner gate is broken an instance portal is engaged that takes you inside an actual fully furnished castle. Something similar to Caudecus’s Manor but on a grander scale.
Trap Doors that can be upgraded to different levels with each higher level being able to drop more people into it. At the bottom of the trap door pit, spikes. Pain. Sadness. Also, enjoyment for anyone watching people fall into it.:D These can be triggered at different weights with different amounts of people crossing them.
Another one would be collapsible structure elements that deal damage to all people underneath the falling rubble. Kind of similar to Statuary in EotM, except the falling bits would damage and kill.
when talking profit for wvw players… one word… “Primers.” Lots use them. I would buy them occasionally if they were slightly cheaper and didn’t fall off constantly.
There is a thread just a few posts down on this topic. It seems to be very popular.
both are good. I have fun on my ele whereas i do not on my necro. which is fun for you?
Umm if you search for Blinx, he has some good builds, setups, and options. Also, if you search for El Cabi, I think he has much more aggressive setups. basically, there is no meta.
If you enjoy survivability and roaming with groups as a support character then the standard d/d build with celestial gear is amazing. If you want to solo/yolo roam then I think El Cabi has some great tips on how to do it effectively and gear/build tweaks.
You don’t have to run celestial gear though and celestial gear is a pain in the kitten to farm for because of the crystals and charged crystals.
It really comes down to whether or not you are going to try it solo or with a party and what role you wish to fulfill within that party or as a yolo roamer.
This is el Cabi. He provides the info for builds and goes over them in other vids.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2q91vCHaLjY
Regardless, though, pick something, then tweak as necessary for the different roles you wish to fulfill as the need arises. That’s how its all designed. Don’t fall prey to the meta-trolls.

Everyone I roll with on SoS has thoroughly enjoyed this match-up thus far.
Not sure if over powered or not but i know that i tried throwing 7 disables today while at 10 supply and none of them worked at all.
Get into WvW or EotM and find a nice Karma Train to join. Make sure to load up on buffs as much as possible via food, banners, campfires, guild activations, etc… You will make a ton of money and get loads of items but most importantly you will get a great deal of multiple currencies which can be converted into the materials you need. Skill points, Badges of Honor, Karma, etc… can all be converted into the materials you need provided you don’t need the currencies for anything else.
Also, don’t forget about material promotion and Mystic Clover making. Making Mystic Clovers doesn’t give what you are looking for but you can sell the products and buy what you need.

I have had the same thought about the summit. I think the Pale Tree is something like Mordy’s avatar. According to the lore, the Sylvari are protected from being Zhaitans risen minions by The Dream. If I were writing the story, this would play out as Mordy’s protection extended to his creations. I would have the first few generations more under the control of Mordy while the later generations, closest to our characters, able to somewhat resist his influence. I would have the Pale Tree’s Avatar, along with Trahearne, slay the entire summit.
Using Tremor on my warrior while in combat has a tenancy to incur the full cool down without any effect.
It seems to happen about 2-4 times out of 10.
It only happens while moving.
There is no character animation, skill animation, knockdown effect, or damage dealt.
So far this seems consistent in PVE, WvW, and SPvP
You’re claiming everybody failed to read your posts. Perhaps if it’s everyone that’s telling you that you’re wrong, the problem might be that you did a poor job trying to convey what you actually meant to type?
“Oh but you obviously didn’t read what I typed. Try reading it again until you agree with me.”
You may be absolutely correct. I may have failed to properly convey some points or even all points. In that case, it would be nice to know where and how I failed to do so. I am always trying to improve myself:D
Sir, you’ve take 4 trait points from somewhere to make hammer more useful. If that’s from strength line, you’re losing 15% power from Berserker’s power + 200 power altogether. If it’s from arms, you’re losing 250 precision. If it’s a combo of arms and discipline, you’re losing 50 precision and 150 ferocity. If it’s a combo of arms and power, you’re losing at least the 15% power from Berserker’s power. I think that you said you used leg specialist as well. That’s an additional 2 trait points from a useful line put into tactics.
All for a hammer that does less dps than gs, doesn’t apply vuln, and loses out on forceful greatsword and slashing power, no extra dodge and utilities that can be best used by other weapons.
I’ve got a feeling that you may be specializing in WvW, where hammer warrior can rule. Otherwise, it’s just not as useful in PvE. Other weapons do what it does, and better at that, all the while not forsaking group and personal deeps.
If OP wants to run hammer for fun, all the power to him, and to you if you want to do the same. Please don’t think, however, that you’re being as useful as someone w/ a gs. You’re just not, no matter what you tell yourself.
Please prove me wrong though. I like being proved wrong. Do an Abom solo w/ your hammer and we’ll compare it to a pure gs solo. That’ll show the proof in your words, and give the final answer that the OP was looking for.
Do I really need to make a video, for no reason whatsoever, to prove something that WE ALL already agree on?
Not really. Why? Because instead of trying to CC a stack of trash to death, you can just let a thief throw down perma blinds while you release superior-to-hammer dps.
This seems to be a common theme amongst GS fanboys. “I’ll do what I want and someone else can do all the work.”
Why would I hurt myself with hammer when somebody else can do the job so much better? perma-blinds> 3s stun
Which is basically their primary job for trash mobs and they sacrifice nothing to take advantage of this.
All you are doing is deflecting with out making real points. All of my points have been made. People just aren’t reading them. Everyone seems to be just scanning for tidbits they can remove from context. Everyone is arguing points that I agree with them on. All I am doing now is trying to help people learn to read. Read everything, let it sink in, try to comprehend what was written. Don’t forget to breath.
The only statements you’ve made in this thread were troll-bait designed to provoke an angry response. Perhaps you should re-articulate your points in a manner consistent with the promotion of a legitimate conversation and you’ll find you get the respect you are looking for.
Step one of that is to not use pejorative terms for groups of players. Step two is avoiding dismissive statements like “read what I said more carefully.” For what it’s worth, the onus of being understood is on the writer not the reader. If a lot of people consistently “misinterpret” or “don’t understand” your writing there is a very strong chance that your points aren’t as clear or self-evident as you believe they are and you should work on refining the clarity of your expression rather than belittle other people’s comprehension.
=)
At this point there isn’t much use in trying, I guess. So lets break this down.
When it comes to trolls, all comments are technically troll-bait. I doubt there is a comment in the world that anyone could make that a troll couldn’t work with. No comment I have ever posted was designed to provoke any sort of anger. That is not what I want and I do not see that when i read my comments. However, people get angry over anything so i guess, again, that technically any comment could be considered anger provoking. I could say " I love salads." People will immediately start posting salad hate speech and assume that I don’t love bacon as much as them just because i have stated that I love salads.
I’ll be honest, I do not remember saying anything insulting. I may have slipped but I generally try not to. I think it is more a possibility that you assumed I used a term in an insulting manor.
I, for one, am not going to repeat everything that I have written over and over and over and over and over and over and over again for every person that posts. I dont expect anyone else to do that either.
For the last bit. This is very true. I strive to convey thoughts in a simple and concise manor. However, I am not a professional writer and do not claim to be. More importantly, I am having a hard time understanding what I am doing wrong when everyone is just asking questions when the answers have already been given or the questions are about items that have been taken out of context.
Again, I welcome corrections and advice. I cannot get enough of it. Thx!

Scryeless.1924 I will not sugarcoat my comment. You are an absolute fool if you think that stacking is glitching.
It’s encouraged by ArenaNet themselves. Please don’t tell me you’ve never heard of the term “line of sight” before? Anyone that has even the most basic understanding of logic (and artificial intelligence) would agree that players and mobs being capable of attacking things from behind walls/objects would be very weird. If something is obstructing your view, you shouldn’t be able to damage it. The only way to change that is to either make it so that nothing obstructs your attacks or to remove every and all possible objects/obstacles so that the entire game is a wide open area.
“Line of sight” isn’t just a video game term either. It happens in real life and in movies too. If you fire a pistol at a cliff, do you think the bullet is going to go straight through it? Have you ever watched a film before and seen gun fights in it or someone firing a bow at someone with the other person hiding behind a wall or tree etc?
The act of mobs running to a corner to get burned down is them reacting to their targets being out of their line of sight. This is intended. This isn’t a glitch.
Cleaving mobs is also intended and people want mobs to be closely packed together to deal more damage over time.
Boons also have a limited radius and all of the unique buffs that certain classes provide do as well, so what better way to ensure that your teammates acquire said buffs than to stick together?
If you want your argument to have any merit along with not being taken for a complete fool, prove that stacking is glitching. Go on, try it.
I cannot stress enough the importance of reading comments before commenting.

Stacking is not glitching.
I think the problem some are having is that you don’t understand what / means when used between words.
Also, another problem people seem to be having is reading posts. This thread isn’t about what weapons or builds have maximum dps.
(edited by Scryeless.1924)
Don’t think I’ve used the term glitch without the term stack. Which term you choose to fixate on is on you.
However, that is all completely off-topic so start a new thread.
2. PVE: Your groups will burn through all the controllable mobs so quickly that most of your time will be facing uncontrollable mobs like champs and legendaries and at that point you will need to swap out for GS anyways just to help speed things along even more.

noun: meta; plural noun: metas
1.short for meta key.
adjective: meta
1. (of a creative work) referring to itself or to the conventions of its genre; self-referential.My own personal definition: Meta is a word used by players in the place of “I want bigger numbers” or “bring back cookie cutter builds”
I agree that when you stack/glitch mobs the GS is by far the best for damage output. Stacking/Glitching also do speed things up. I take full advantage of these methods along with a GS when I’m feeling lazy. Again, It just comes down to personal play style.
I run up to a mob with my Greatsword and start hitting it. It takes damage. What part of this is stacking and glitching? The only example I can even think of where legitimate glitching is involved is the champion in TA before the nightmare tree. Out of hundreds of bosses in the game that is the only example I can think of.
You’ll have to read my previous posts. I have already covered that.

Bring up your character panel and select wardrobe. Select your weapon and then select the skin you want. If you don’t have a skin you want then go unlock some more. If you have all skins unlocked then you are going to have to wait until more skins get released.

I totally thought this post was going to be about adding in densely packed forests full of trees. I totally support that.
On topic-> As it is right now, Anet seems to be trying to get the over abundance of wood materials out of the market so i don’t think you will see any changes anytime soon that would add more to the market.
To everyone saying the game is all about DPS, it isn’t. It just isn’t. If you think it is then you are preventing yourself from having an amazingly large amount of fun and limiting your personal playing experience. In a large amount of MMO’s it is. You need a certain amount of DPS in those game to even complete fights or everyone loses to energy loss or cooldowns.. Also in those games you are limited to cookiecutter builds. InGW2, you most definitely are not limited and least of all on a Warrior. Why would you choose to limit yourself?
Because you want to contribute to the party. Yes, you could play a hammer build in your knight’s gear, and you just wouldn’t be contributing as much as someone who’s playing meta build. I’ll quote again what I said earlier:
you have to look at the skills of the hammer, and the traits needed to put them to most effective use:
Earthshaker: Good skill, but I’ll elaborate on this in a bit.
AA: Hammer Swing, Bash, and Smash. From what shoddy testing I did when I got Twilight last year, it’s the strongest AA available to warriors (2 handed weapons), but like I said, it was very shoddy testing, so if Guang’s here, I’m sure he’ll be able to tell you more concrete numbers than I.
Fierce Blow: 8 second weakness that cleaves. While weakness is indeed useful in high-end fractals, it can better be performed by warhorn 5, which also doubles as a blast finisher
Hammer Shock: Cone AoE and cripple. As previously stated, cripple isn’t exactly… the best skill desired in PvE. Worthless in Arah and most other dungeons as well.
Staggering Blow: This is the skill that makes hammer completely unwanted in higher end dungeons and fractals. Most of the players who are very good at PvE content want enemies close so melee attacks can have their highest value and boons can be upkept and yadda yadda yadda. (Look at one of Colsey, aka maha, explanations of stacking strategy. He explains it better than I) This knockback completely disrupts the flow of a good group. If you’re an anti-stacker, that’s a conversation to be had for another day.
Backbreaker: Knockdown. 30 sec cooldown. Mace 5 better by far. Sorry.
The kicker here is that you’d have to sacrifice 4 trait points to make a hammer build even remotely feasible. If you’re taking them out of the power line, you’re loosing 15% damage period. If you’re taking them out of arms, you’re loosing a great deal of crit chance and 15% damage every time you activate your very useful Earthshaker ability. Not worth it.
Those 4 points in defense aren’t needed at all once you learn the encounters better, so survivability isn’t something that you should be concerned about if you know what you’re doing. All in all, other weapons do what hammer does, just betterYou just aren’t doing as much as a hammer warrior as you would a meta one. Now, I’ve got a feeling you’re going to come back and say what you said in the other forum where
I have personally carried a lot of zerker groups with my Knights set in just about every dungeon in the game.
If it weren’t so common that I am the last person standing soloing bosses while bringing the group back up from a near wipe in Fotm 50….I understand how you would see that, but the fact of the matter is that I (and my friends who are much better warriors than I) have done the same thing(especially in arah), in berserker gear, with my greatsword.
We’ve just done it faster.
Also, there’s a case to be stated that it wouldnt’ve been necessary if you had contributed more to group dps, or had played with more skilled players. I realize that that post was about pugging, but the fact of the matter stands.
I’m not trying to be rude, and I hope that you don’t see it as that. I can just prove that you’re mistaken about hammer being just as useful as gs or pure axe builds for damage and team support.
Does more dps help other people dodge, block, cast reflect, use invulnerability, etc… ?
Also, if you know that the other post was about pugging then the fact of the matter cannot still stand, can it?
I apologize to everyone for posting off topic but that bit was bugging me.
(edited by Scryeless.1924)
I think the the question should be this: Do you want bigger numbers on the occasion that stacking and standing still not doing anything is effective, or do you want to have fun? Or even do you enjoy controlling your enemy without stacking/glitching?
GS skill 1 requires targets to stand still. Only damage, no other use.
GS skill 2 requires player to stand still as well as the target
GS skill 3 requires targets to stand still and requires the targets to be against a wall in order to maximize damage. (the dodge is fantastic, i love the extra dodge)
GS skill 4 can be useful here and there but it is definitely outshined by Hammer skill 3 which with Leg Specialist trait is a massive AoE root.
GS skill 5 is just damage and only becomes useful for chasing down targets or running away but if the target needs chasing then the rest of your skills become useless because they aren’t going to stand there for Hundred Blades.
Now, if you are the type of person that enjoys running away then GS is your weapon. Rush and the dodge from Whirl Wind Attack are both amazing for keeping yourself out of a fight.
I am not saying everyone should run with a hammer. I am not saying anyone should run with a hammer. I am saying that it depends on your play style and how you evaluate skills. To me, the hammer is just loads more fun because i don’t have to stand still and every skill on the hammer is useful. I do not run with a hammer full time. I don’t think anyone should run with any weapons 100% of the time. I swap my weapons and armor out depending on group comp, the fight we are about to engage in, or just willy nilly to try out different builds and weapon combo’s.
The OP just wanted to know why there is so much hate for the hammer. The answer is people have a hard time understanding the amount of versatility warriors are capable of. People see or hear about one thing working and think that if they do that one thing then all will be well. My recommendation to the OP is play how you want to play and surround yourself with friends and guild members that are like minded. Build your own groups and do your own thing. GW2 is definitely the best game for building your own play style from a myriad of different viable builds, armor/wpn combos.
One last thing to remember is that peoples experience drives them to think the way they think. If a person is in a group and there is a hammer warrior that’s only been playing the game for 2 days that seems terrible then that person will sometimes relate hammers or warriors in general with being bad. This example is a bit extreme but i think it gets the point across. It happens to all of us. I am guilty of it. Based on my experience, when i see a GS warrior, I immediately assume the player is either new or bad but i still give them a chance. I don’t take any giant swigs of haterade.
(edited by Scryeless.1924)
The kick function is fine – if people don’t want to play with you it’s their right to do so.
If you don’t want to lose the time you’ve invested in content then be the instance opener and all your troubles are fixed.
Ideally – play with guildies or people you know.
I don’t know if i have ever been kicked but I can say that I have seen the instance owners kicked on multiple occasions towards the end of dungeons for no reason whatsoever. A lot of progress lost.
However, I don’t see this at all as a major issue. Everyone that is having trouble with being kicked from groups, you need to: A. join guilds and B. make friends. Being a social person and player will get you far in MMO’s. If your guild isn’t reliable for dungeons then you need to join a different guild. You can join up to 5 at a time. There are plenty of great guilds out there that do not require 100% representation.
If you need a guild that does PVE, PVP, and WvW regularly then feel free to whisper me in game and we can talk. If you are a begger, spammer, anti-social, or selfish then you should not message anyone and should play First Person Shooters or Offline Games.

Hammer makes most of pve a supreme cakewalk. Only non-controllable mobs like champs is it useless against. That is off-topic though and currently being covered in the Warrior discussion section.
We are talking about pugging. When it comes to pugging knowing what options you have at your disposal to better adapt to group composition is vital for progress. I have seen people go into fights with your mentality and builds you have listed and get smashed and then blame the group or rage quit. I love my Zerker and Dire set but I can assure you that I have personally carried a lot of zerker groups with my Knights set in just about every dungeon in the game.
If it weren’t so common that I am the last person standing soloing bosses while bringing the group back up from a near wipe in Fotm 50 then maybe I would be inclined to agree with you.
It comes down to a personal preference. Do I want guaranteed solid source of gold accumulation via guaranteed items, karma, and badges, or do I want to gamble?
Zerg battles are atrocious for gold accumulation since they give zero karma and very few badges. It just isn’t a reliable source of income. It is also far from a reliable source of T6 mats gathering.
In EotM zerg forces are rarely evenly matched. Usually, one force will overwhelm another and then the losing force will begin to defend heavily or just leave the map. In both cases the winning force has severely kitten its own progress.
I agree with Wulfric. In order to use GS in way that makes it superior you are pretty much limited to stacking or glitching methods in PVE and limited to ganking newbs in WVW/PVP.
I believe you 100%, Wanze. I have friends and guildies who say the same. My experience was consistently different from theirs. However, I also have friends and guildies who consistently get PreC’s and Ascended Boxed drops while i have always played the same exact content with them and have never, since launch, seen either.:( Sorry! Off-topic. I apologize.

I see EotM as a huge success. It pulled K-trains out of WvW for the most part. It pulled a great deal of up-lvls out of WvW. Most importantly, it is an amazingly simple and quick way to farm gold, karma, materials, WvW rank, skill points, Badges of Honor, etc… All of which can be converted into yet more gold. Obviously, WvW rank cannot be converted but it helps you farm more efficiently:D
Prior to this farming for anything in the game was so much more painfully slow. Taking Charged cores/Lodestones as an example, i actually get more of these farming EotM with a smooth non-zerg vs zerg ktrain than farming CoE or Elementals. Only slightly and that slightly is very slight. Over the course of a long period of time though it edges out ahead of farming the usual spots that people have previously farmed this highly sought after material.
So far, in my experience, the only farming that beats a smooth EotM map is the Crown Pavilion Gold Farm.

My personal opinion on the matter is that Hammer outshines GS in PVE and WVW, both in zerg play as well as partnered roaming. I would say that GS kind of outshines Hammer in WVW but I have never had a GS warrior actually be able to pull off Hundred Blades on me. They try oh so hard with their Sword F1 root/wpn swap but it never works. It is funny to watch them waste adrenaline though. I have yet to witness any warrior truly pull off a GS in WvW in any way other than attacking keep/tower gates or running away.
I don’t enjoy solo roaming so i don’t have a whole lot of experience in that category but i can tell you that a lot of solo roamers that try to ambush me end up running away and leaving me alone when they realize how quickly and often i can Earth shaker their faces.
Earth shaker is where its at. This is such a phenomenal skill. Its a very large aoe impact that completely shuts down opponents for almost 3 seconds. Combined with traits for cd reduction and adrenaline building you can almost spam this skill in some fights. If you are running a spam-able earth shaker build and you have cleansing ire as well, pve mobs basically just stand still for you until they die. Higher level fractals and dungeons in general are a super breeze with a Hammer warrior that knows his/her build and understands how to control mobs.
the amount of control you have with the Hammer as a warrior is insanely awesome and makes it so much fun. Especially if you are traited for Leg Specialist. the Hammer 3 skill is a very wide area root with this trait. This weapon can single handedly force an opponent to blow all their survival cd’s in skills and traits.
Unfortunately, the three large drawbacks to this weapon are:
1. If you are a warrior in a pvp or wvw area then you are probably having blind spammed on you. If so oh well. If not, enjoy it. I spend a great deal of time blind. even if blind is removed with any number of skills/traits, it is immediately applied again because there are no diminishing returns on blind applications.
2. PVE: Your groups will burn through all the controllable mobs so quickly that most of your time will be facing uncontrollable mobs like champs and legendaries and at that point you will need to swap out for GS anyways just to help speed things along even more.
3. Zerg fighting will grant every player within 9,001 miles perma stability is what it seems like most of the time so not just the hammer skills but a great portion of warriors skills (all the unique and fun skills), in general, are completely useless.

Its not OP in the least. Its useful as hell in PVE. PVP and WvW not so much. I’m constantly blind from the moment i log in to the moment i log out and even if i use the bows F1 skill, Shrug It Off, and/or Shake It Off I’m immediately blinded again. So, maybe I’m doing something wrong but I don’t see it as OP. If anyone has any suggestions as to how I can make Cleansing Ire OP then please let me know:D
Have to agree with Fror and some of the others. Building your own group to your specifications helps. only if you take into consideration the builds you are willing to run with though. As a warrior i run with 3 different sets of armor and every single weapon a warrior can weild in my bags at all times because they all have their place or fight where they perform better than other sets or other weapons. Same goes for traits. i am constantly retraiting depending on which fight i am going into.
Do you have to run with all these items or retrait often? No. However, you aren’t fully utilizing your class to its fullest potential and you aren’t putting forth any effort in learning your class more intricately if you are not changing things up.
OP, i don’t think you are getting kicked for anything other than a language barrier. Sorry! I do level 50 fractals regularly and accept all professions. As long as things are getting done I, and the team i usually run with, really don’t mind carrying people sometimes. Just carried a guildy with 0 AR through fractal lvl 49 or 50 a few days ago just for fun and she wasn’t even a burden. I would agree with the previous posters in that you need to build your own team.
I see what some people think of as the elite 4 although i would call it elite 3. In the upper level fractals i see mostly Warriors, Guardians, and Ele’s. I don’t see thieves on a regular enough basis even when i pug.
I don’t think its a matter of balance but more a matter of player mentality when they assume the roles of a specific profession. For instance, in my experience, thieves and necros run amuck in PVP and WvW. This is where i tend to see the highest concentration of those two classes. I think that’s because the majority of people that play those classes tend to enjoy the pvp aspect more than pve. Guards, Wars, and Eles just happen to be so common that they are everywhere so it may just SEEM like they reign supreme.
