I earned more than what I lost in WvW.

Even the best PvPer dies; however, he’ll be easily rich and the cost of his repair bill is miniscule. Compared to brainless zerglings that extended too far.

Don’t want to die? Here is a good tip, stay with the group. Learn when to back off and when to push.

When your team is outmanned and camped into their spawn, you’re gonna be losing money.

Stay with the group? LOL. When you’re that outmanned, there IS NO GROUP.

After arguing with an engineer for a while, you begin to realize that he actually enjoys it.

I was personally about to create a topic about exactly the same thing, and I found this!

I completely agree, repair costs should be removed from WvW, just like how there is no repair costs for sPvP. Why? I have personally seen many people run from battles just so they don’t have to pay for repairs. I’ve seen people suicide off cliffs since fall damage does not cause broken armor. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. Suiciding should CAUSE your armor to break, not PREVENT it.

Of course, to offset the lack of a money sink, I believe that the event rewards should also be reduced accordingly.

If you (Anet) are unwilling to completely remove repair costs, then make the Outmanned buff be “Armor does not break”, which would be a lot better than +magic find, since if you’re outmanned, it’s unlikely you’re going to be looting anything anyway.

Also, on that note, it seems your team has to be outmanned by A LOT before the outmanned buff kicks in. A 3:2 ratio isn’t enough to cause the outmanned buff, even though 3:2 means you’re obviously outmanned.

What adds to the point total?

So, each camp gives +5 per 15 mins, each tower gives +10, etc. Each objective gives points at a multiple of 5, yet the points are not always at a number that is a multiple of 5. This must leave 1 possibility: something else adds to the point total. Could somebody list all other points sources and how much they give? For example, I heard that each yak killed gives 5 points to the team that kills it. Could somebody confirm this?

Note: I was pondering whether to post this under suggestions or WvW, but since these suggestions were specific to WvW, I decided to put them here.

1. Currently, when fighting a zerg, a downed enemy will be quickly revived, and then downed, and repeat. I believe that a person who has been downed multiple times should stay down. To fix this, I suggest a “recently revived debuff” for people who have just been raised from down stance. This debuff would make it so that for the next 10 seconds, reaching 10 health would instantly defeat them, bypassing the down stance and ending the cycle of downing and reviving.

2. I have encountered a couple little bugs where summons (such as ranger pets, necro summons, and mesmer clones) can go through doors and hit things on the other side.
A simple pathing fix should suffice.

3. Griefing prevention. I’ve heard stories about people transferring to other worlds just to grief them. For example, I heard a story of a person taking the orb and bringing it to the other team, and a different story where a person purposely used up a keep’s supply by building a bunch of flame rams in the middle of the keep. In my world’s keep in Eternal Battlegrounds, I count about 6 flame rams on the roof (why? if not griefing). Now, I’m not quite sure how to prevent the orb stealing, but fixing the “ram spam” would be as easy as preventing placement of rams out of range of an enemy door.

4. My personal pet peeve. Enemy players take a bit of time to load after unstealthing. This makes it so thieves effectively have a longer stealth than they should have. Somehow, please improve the way the game loads these players.

5. Change the price of the commander book. 100 gold for a commander book? Instead of gold, make the price be in Badges of Honor. Just because someone has gold, doesn’t mean they have the expertise to lead an army. However, if they have Badges of Honor, it would mean they have at least spent a bit of time in WvW. Since 1 Badge = 1 Silver (according to siege weapon prices), the price would be 10k Badges. Of course, this seems like a bit much, so 5k should be fine.

There’s my list of things I feel should be improved. Feel free to comment.

6. There’s also a bug where if a person uses a speed boon, they can sometimes run up cliffs they shouldn’t be able to. The most serious case is the cliff leading up to the citadel in the Borderlands maps. Players can bypass those portal doors / checkpoints by running up the small cliff and freely destroy any undefended siege, albeit any defenders in the same spot would have the invulnerability buff for being so close to spawn.
