I’m apparently a top 100 player according to leaderboards, (top 400 at one point during the previous leaderboards till i stopped palying for a long time) Yet i keep getting complete morons on my team against people queued together, even if its duo’s they our coordinate us and its bullkitten. I cant win the match by myself against premades of any size.

Besides the fact if you type anything in chat most people respond by saying “stop typing and play” along with some other insults.

the solo queue leaderboard was openly mocked because of its inaccuracy, or at least the NA one was.

I dunno i still had a good time trying to climb it, sure it probly needed a different scoring system. The new leaderboard doesnt even place by skill level, its purely games played. The #1 player is a horrible player, most people think shes a bot.

this isnt GW1, different engine completely. no comparison.

46.80% seems fair if Lexiceta / Lexicety is have been queuing solo and not as a team.

if she / he is really that bad, the win lose ratio would be lower.

The thing is, she is that bad. Its literally like playing with/against a bot. When you fight her, 90% of the time she stand still in one spot, as a longbow ranger.

leaderboard is pointless now anyway, top players arent good they just spam games. especially the #1 person… most people think shes a bot because of how bad she plays.

Last night I won 1 game and lost 2 points, and I never disconnected. Does character swapping before the match starts award maximum point loss or was this a bug?

I believe this might be the case. I only started losing points when I started swapping characters at the beginning of a match….

Ready-check button fixed the 4v5 problem that solo queue had. so they remove solo queue and add dishonor. You like switching character depending on matchups and maps? You like that extra layer of complexity to a somewhat stale conquest only pvp game mode? You like to switch out of characters that the entire enemy team sometimes just happens to counter? yep it sucks, dont like being forced to queue with people. Team pvp is much different then solo, you cant merge them together the solo players just get punished.

Yes. We do not intend to ruin the experience for people that queue solo. Matchmaking was relaxed overnight because I would not be available to monitor the servers to prevent queue times from growing too large.

I agree with this, i had a blast in solo queue before patch. Even if the queue was 10 minutes (and i rarely had one longer then that unless i was on at like 5-6am Eastern time)

I’ve also not seen a lot of the other solo queuers id be in games with online much, or playing pvp.

I feel like anet destroyed an entire community dedicated to part of their game by trying to merge them with a different one.

If you read what i typed, i dont want to play any form of premade team games. They are boring compared to Solo queue.

With solo queue being removed, you have completely destroyed the solo player experience. You force us to play against premades, even 2,3,4 man premades just change how matches are played. We played solo queue for a reason, because it was equal footing for all players joining. If we wanted to play team games, there was a team queue option. I would rather wait 15 minutes for ranked solo queue matches then 1 minute for this team queue bullkitten.

Besides the the fact that im forced against premades, it seems i keep getting players new to the game or to pvp on my teams, which basically makes it a 4v5. Now you add that to being against organized groups of people it really kittening sucks.

Stop forcing people to play teams, many of us want solo queue. Put the ranked solo queue back with a leaderboard to climb and if queue times suck .. ohwell we choose to sit and wait.

Duo’ing with a friend and we have been placed against a full premade 5 team (same one) twice in a row. We got steamrolled both times, whats the point in playing if you are put in these types of positions where its a guaranteed loss. I would much rather have kept playing solo Queue. I only duo because i feel like im being forced into team play.

this has not been my experience. after at least 50 ranked games, ive been matched against premades only a handful of times, or even less.

I’m talking even groups of 2 or 3, those being in the game completely change how its played compared to solo queue. Solo queue just had its own play style and feel because nobody was premade, it was all solo players vs solo players. I just want to be able to queue solo and not be at a disadvantage again.

7-10 min queues to be matched with players way below my skill level. Losing games because these players aren’t ready for ranked play or just flat out don’t know what they are doing in pvp.

right click their name and click block. don’t say a single word to them, just block. As a bully i know this works, when people do it to me i actually get a bit mad.

It makes no sense for a brand new player to jump into ranked matches on a game like this.

There needs to be some sort of benchmark for all players to reach on each class before queuing for ranked matches.

It’s not fair to new players because it will ruin their ratings early on. And its not fair to veteran or good players because it also causes them pointless losses.

Problem is solo queue and team queue had too very different play styles. Some of us don’t want to play with a premade team for the simple fact we don’t enjoy it. It’s more enjoyable for us to be paired with all random players against all random players, none of this premade team crap that changes the feel of the game.

even though i dislike team and solo queue being mixed. I duo’d with my RL friend for the past 2 days, we played a lot of games maybe 20 a night not sure exactly. I think we held a 80% or higher win rate right up till the last 3 games last night where we had new players and those players that think they are good but aren’t which gave us landslide losses because it was essentially 3v5 or 2v5.

The problem is, we will never be able to compete on leaderboards because premade 5 players will be hogging the top up.

Also had a positive win rate with courtyard, dont mind the map but dont think it should be on the ranked roster.

I’m really curious as to how you guys are figuring out if the other team is a pre-made. We don’t tell you, and looking at the data there are very few party rosters compared to solo.

Is it just match quality being bad? Are you just recognizing player names?

So I just queued unranked arena match after coming back from work.

Courtyard, Kyhlo, and Temple. I vote Temple.

Going off of the PvP titles I saw on teammates/opponents I presume at least MMR was okay.
Only one person on blue got any rank points, and that was because I brought warbanner.

What should be done? Maybe we can start with one or more of these:

• Ensure premades never face non-premades, and perhaps also eliminate a party of 4 from queueing
• Remove Courtyard from the map selection, at least when it is premade vs non-premade
• Give each party exactly one vote (so a party of 4-5 has only one vote for a map)

tl;dr—Matchmaking evidently failed, as it took about 15 seconds to match a solo queue with a premade (or near full premade)

Courtyard + premades spawncamping ensured my 4 teammates got zero rank points for playing.

Eliminate premade vs non-premade, remove Courtyard, or give each party exactly one map vote

Dude stop whining, its unranked, which is what ‘Practice’ really is. Hotjoin is ‘Fun’, if its any practice its 1v1 practice. Unranked is like the ‘Team Practice’.

Maybe you just had a team full of people testing things out and you was the one really trying.

This is an MMORPG you gotta play with others, make friends with others.
You can talk about how you enjoy playing solo and bs, but fact is, you would rather play with friends, you just aint got any and refuse to even try even though its much more fun playing with friends.

Yall need to stop soloing all the time and invite good players to que again with you and invite more good players to que with you until you have a full party and if people leave then invite good players to que up with you and eventually youll have an active pvp friendlist and wont worry about queing solo.

I’m glad there is some kind of advantage of queing with others, you should get an advantage, it should get people to want to party with one another and actually make pvp fun.

Only thing that needs to hold its own is the leaderboards. The developers need to get those preppy popular kids to keep playing as well. The developers need to make losing less harsh, as in if you lose you go down 33% of the way, if you win you go 100% of the way. This way people are more inclined to CONTINUE playing when they have a good leaderboard spot rather than STOP playing due too, ‘I might face good players and not look good anymore… since I got lucky to get this far.’. Making losing less harsh is a good thing.

i queue solo for a reason, i dont want to play premade games. Solo and team queue have two different play styles, i preferred solo queue by far to team queue.

For me at least forming a premade team is just not fun, i like to log on and queue by myself and play against other plays that are by themselves. If i wanted to play team queue i would have already been doing it for the past how many months/years its been available.

Team play and solo play are basically two different game types/modes. Mixing the two just doesnt make sense, of course team queue players will enjoy it because they get free wins now and then against solo players. Us players that queue solo are punished with automatic losses when facing the premades.

Now some will say, oh just make a team. Well if i wanted to play team queue don’t you think i would have done so in the past 2 years? Team queue and solo queue just have two very different play styles and some of us prefer solo queue. Now it has been stripped from us and we are forced into team queue. I don’t see how taking options for players away is a positive thing.

I feel like these complaints against fighting pre-mades are a bit unwarranted due to the fact that “even if you lose to a pre-made you don’t lose rating unless you have a 100% chance of beating them” but you know, I may be wrong there. May be there is something to it in the algorithm.

I dont care if i gain rating losing to a premade. I play to win and have a fair chance at it, being put against a premade team is basically an instant loss and gives me no incentive to even try. Losing a match feels bad no matter what they do to compensate the unfair balance.

Anet devs literally RE-DID the ENTIRE background mechanics of sPvP. That means, (this might blow your minds), kitten IS GONNA break. We will probably see more bugs than any other patch before, as this patch contained a lot more background technical work. Give them some time man. They completely reworked the back-end of PvP, so things won’t work perfectly until they squish some bugs. Hopefully they’ll get them soon.

You dont seem to understand that there will ALWAYS be a chance i am paired vs a premade team. Before we had solo queue and team queue, you could queue up for team queue as a solo player. There is a reason people played solo queue over team queue. What about the “cannot access login server” that ALOT of people are experiencing when trying to queue for ANY of the pvp options. There is a thread in bugs and tech support, no reds are replying. Am i just locked out of pvp till its fixed? This is unacceptable, i dont buy gems and support you guys to have a game breaking issue that not one red will comment on.

Edit: This has been happening since the patch launched, i have not been able to play one pvp match at all.
