The 600 range…on a ranged weapon was clearly game breaking. The risen and centaur mobs were tired of getting abused by guardians and threatened a boycott if this change wasn’t made.
Agreed. This change is terrible for wvw. That extra time out of shroud destroys any counterplay to a daredevil or other fast class. In exchange for what? Some swiftness that does us absolutely zero good up against all the gap openers & closers on literally every other class. Laughable.
lets not forget how that swiftness will be converted to a Condition almost instantly XDDD

Dont forget thieves will get a rifle with 1500 range next month. Of course anet wont actually fix broken mechanics like stealth spam, perma dodge/vigor/evades….so that will be fun to fight right?

i cant tell the amount of times i got killed by people that just run away from me while shooting me with ranged abilities to death….
but 1st jump on me with a burst that removes 80% of my shrouds HP….. then just kite till im dead…..
or just simply Knock me down and arround infinitely till both my HP and shroud is gone and im dead….

Those revs who’s regen’s which revs like a billion times better then ours.
Survivability, yep we have to point our entire gear set and spec into healing power to get that survivability.I don’t PvE much on my Elementalist but im pretty sure this is absurd there too.

Dont forget speed of shadows…now not only does death shroud now offer little protection and gets shredded by all the condi spam, you now have to wait longer to use it! GJ once again anet on another fail from your balance department.

Just another idiotic change. Considering most of the new elite specs are condition based…such a surprise right… berserker is going to have a terrible time sustaining through it. Basically what anet is saying is, buy PoF and use the new elite specs.

Necromancers as a whole are not importan to Anet. It’s common knowledge and you must be new.
Yeah I guess I have to agree with you on that one mate. But I’ve gotten a lot of success with necromancers in PvP by staying in shroud. Now I not only suck in all areas of PvE, I also suck at PVP. It’s almost as if the devs thought to themselves “Guys, necros are officially the deprived child nobody wants in PvE. How do we make it worse?” It makes me wonder if engis are also still on the same boat with us.
Either way, it’s still infuriating when they nerf the hell out of necromancers and come up with the most shallow rationales for doing so. Jesus Anet, just say necromancers have never been a priority

They wont, its clear they want people to move on to the new elite specs to drive sales. I am not very interested in scourge, but what choice is there if the important parts of my build get nerfed this badly.
Pyre makes more sense. He is a character that many players are familiar with, he was a rebellious charr, and actually used a bow. The choice of Kalla…I don’t know it kind of screams political correctness using a female instead of another male legend. Which seems to be the trend with anet.
no more Ticket cap , i just got 14 tickets on the first Diamond Chest after finishing diamond tier.
This is unintended. There is supposed to be a weekly ticket cap and we will be fixing this.

Very bad change. It is bad enough that shroud gets eaten up by conditions, Vital persistence was one of the few ways a necromancer could sustain through damage. Now they made it useless….
Base pips have increased by +2. Each box gives tickets, not just the final box. Completing diamond is like 355 tickets now. I’m in WvW right now. Diamond does repeat so there essentially is no weekly cap.
From what I’ve seen in the weeks I did finish Diamond, Diamond does repeat, but after the first completion, it does not reward any tickets, just get the other rewards from each box.

I am not sure if repeating it gives tickets now, or they just reset it. They might have reset diamond for those that already completed it, so they could earn the extra tickets.
I just checked it, I missed it initially since I did not see it in the patch notes. It does appear that each chest does give tickets now, and each division gives more tickets then before.

Have you looked at the number of each box gives now? I haven’t calculated how many tickets you can get but it’s about doubled. AND diamond repeats
Repeating diamond does not give extra tickets. And I don’t think they increased the amount of tickets you can get each week, they just split the tickets in Diamond into each of the 6 chests instead of all being in the last chest.

So, you’re literally undervaluing PvE Legendary Armor with this update? You can get a easier to get stat swapping version through these game types. Thats simply a smack in the face to people who got PvE Legendary armor. Wow.
No its not. WvW ascended gear is time gated and to get a full set takes a minimum of 2 months. This feature also does not add any new Legendary skin/effect. Also the wvw gear requires 3 grandmasters marks each.
On the otherhand I saw people with legendary armor as soon as it came out.

That’s a pretty huge flaw to have an already wildly stat selectable piece of precusor armor become worthless in regards to this legendary upgrade. Ironic too when it’s all about stat changes, and it makes me think this wasn’t thought through very well. There are a massive amount of players that have now essentially thrown entire sets of precursors away.
I hope you guys can change your stance and recompensate players for this. Really sad.
What do you mean throw away? You can still use it, just like any crafted armor.

Just one quick question: If you bought the Exotic version of the WvW Triumphant Hero’s Armor and transmuted another piece of regular Ascended armor with the skins, are you able to convert it to legendary armor?
Because the cost of tickets to get the Exotic version is the same of the Ascended and a lot of people (myself included) already bought the Exotic version just to unlock the skins and transmuted other Ascended pieces to it.
You cannot upgrade the exotic into ascended or legendary. You will need to purchase the ascended gear.

Personally I care more about the practical benefit of this change, there are a lot better skins out there that can be transmuted. But letting us change stats/runes etc will be incredibly beneficial.

You need the exotics to unlock the ascended versions. You could have unlocked them through the reward tracks as well.

They already run away which is prob faster than gliding.
And now entire groups will just fly away, and only ranged players will be able to hit them. How about we all just build ballista’s and wait for targets…idiotic waste of time.

Wow, now this is an amazing change.
Can we please have an option to keep the mouse cursor on the screen instead of having it disappear every time we hold down the mouse button? This would be very helpful, because it can be annoying at times trying to find the cursor when there is a lot of stuff all over the screen blocking our view.
Hi, the Mursaat brogans from the latest Living Story Episode become soulbound when adding a rune, unlike the previous armor pieces that remain account bound. Is this intended or a bug?
He did not say it was the “BIG” update that some people are waiting on, for some reason. He simply said it was a big update. I take that statement to mean that any updates they have for WvW, will not require players to have to wait for something like an expansion. So if they have something to release they will just release it as part of normal updates, most likely alongside future Living story episodes every couple of months.

Hi, this only helps with problems with connecting to the game when the regular way does not work for whatever reason. It does not help with crashes unfortunately.

I don’t know what to do with this line of code. I saw that this is called the target, but all I get when I right click the shortcut is a drop down, which includes “Open” “Run as Administrator” “Send to,” etc. Am I looking at the wrong this?
Hi, you have to right click the launcher icon, click properties and add
-Gw2.exe -assetsrv 64.25.41.2 to the end of the area called Target, make sure you skip a space before adding the command.
