I don’t play elementalist my self but, let me point out. If there is only 1 build that works for each of those places alone. And if they are all different, it’s broken. That or pay for a respec every time you want to do something different in the game. True?
Well played. A agree with post above a bit of commentary would be nice to add. I know most ppl thinks it’s awkward to speak over live chat. Or thinks that there ‘English’ isn’t good enough. But It’s good for everyone.

Good replies. Seams like we got 1 ability fix this patch. Hopefully we’ll see a big one sooner than later.
Alot of Elite skills are strong, that’s why they are called Elite skills and have a long cooldown. It can be interrupted, dodged and as a moa you can still move and dodge.

Mass Invisibility: Stealth 5sec, range 1200y, 90 sec CD
Veil: Stealth 4sec, duration 8sec, combo field Light, 72 sec CD with trait that benefits all glamour spells.
Mass Invisibility is not worthy the Elite stamp.
Echo became the utility spell Mimic.
I do agree that mass invisibility isn’t elite worthy since we have veil.
Indeed, it needs a massive change.

Anet said they knew about this issue in the beta weekend events here on the forums. And they said that they were looking over the mesmer to change this subject above.
Something in the style of "Mesmer is the most rough around the edges and we are bringing new mechanics ’ something something ’.
But no word yet about this matter.
Given some clones still use an older basic attack from beta (staff clones use a ground-pathing orb and trident clones use the siren’s call that once gave confusion), it’s possible their underwater attacks use old damage formulae too. I’m fairly sure that will all be corrected in time.
Mantras charging faster underwater sounds like a really obscure bug, good job on finding it!
Thank you for your replies, except the one above your’s. Has nothing to do with good or bad players. It’s just questions in general. A good player would see that there is no use in heaving both stealth abilities unless your trying something “funny” out.
Rather have the one that also give a light combo field than an aoe for the ppl who can’t understand how to walk through a veil.

Oh, so by damage you just mean very little damage… well, my land Clones do that too at level 80…
It could be that your underwater weapons are stronger than your land weapons, allowing them to break through the 0 damage threshold.

Yes little damage, around 7 per hit or so. Still better than 0.
They don’t do damage underwater either. Trident Clones however apply Confusion on each hit, so they can do damage indirectly through that. Staff Clones can do it too through Burning and Bleeding.
Do I have to make video prof, or can’t you guys and girls log in a try it your self. No conditions just normal hits does damage. Not much, very litle, but they DO damage.
clones DON’T do damage they are useful just to create confusion to the opponent, phantasms DO damages

…clones do damage under water but not on land. Not close to any real damage(1-10 @ level 30) but better than nothing on the land. (Solved: Because the underwater weapons are superior to land weapons, generally or, to say—in the earlier levels. The land clones will start doing some damage once you get higher level and get some higher damage weapons.)

…you get an Elite skill that gives stealth when we already have one that already does that in a utility slot? Is it for the 1 second extra duration? I hope not, it has a more vast cooldown then the utility one—if you trait it, beacuse the elite Mass Invisibility is not an galmour skill, and eats an elite skill slot. 30 points, no thanks it’s a bad trade. (Not worthy of the elite stamp nor the elite slot—compared with the other superior elite skills)

..The first ability. That channeling sound is starting to give me nosebleeds. Will there be an option to change sounds for attacks, like the custom sound track for battle and so on. Or is there a way to change it already?

Seriously people, learn the proffesions and know what they can and cannot do before you say something is imbalanced.
I guess when I get beaten by a superior player, I should make some threads about nerfing his proffesion because it’s to strong and I’m to proud to admit that he was a better player.

Could you make this possible please ArenaNet(i.e name swap between character A and B)? An attached price would not be a problem. =)
Please change it to the way the female holds it; horizontal with the edge backwards. Or even better, make an option were we can choose between the two. Correct me if I’m wrong but I played a Human male Mesmer in the BWE events. And I could swear that they hold the sword horizontal back then.
I don’t know maybe it’s my imagination or wishful thinking.
