Hey guys I posted earlier about this same topic and the post got 150 views but not one reply… If anyone knows of a Full tank/Heal tank build please link! I’m level 77 and want to respec at 80. I will be geared in soldier’s when I first hit 80 so please help!

Alright guys so I made a really similar post to this one earlier today while I was at work and I got some really helpful feedback from you all so thank you! Now my new question for all you GuildPros is this: What is the best overall class with the bow, (long or short) atm besides the Ranger? Now please, go in depth with this! The reason I say no Ranger is because I hate pets and absolutely refuse to ever roll that class ^.^ But if you could give a class and maybe even a build outline that’s pretty proficient with bows, I’d love you, AllHomo. Thanks!

Yeah you guys all have great points, but still, an option to get rid of the pet system, (Only if the player chooses so), is how it should be. Plain and simple.

I personally like Ranger for what their class name is… A Ranger.. And the definition of a Ranger is a bowman or someone efficient with the Bow and Arrow, Throwing knifes, Ect. A Shaman is more of a pet class IMO but this game doesn’t have Shamans. But to answer your question, the Ranger is efficient in Bows more than any other class and that’s what I want to use it for.. Not to carry around a useless lizard or moa bird…

Thanks everyone for all the post! I’ve read all of what you have to say and it’s all very helpful! I’m now looking into Longbow/Rifle warrior and be a tank as well ^.^ or just a ranger, only a hate the pet. Any new ideas on these 2 classes? And are tanky rifle warriors good? Thanks!

Thanks for all the feedback, @Cherokeewill, I’ll definitely look up that build and if you can make the pet passive like 90% of the time that’s great! But still, if your just gonna make a passive pet why not just rid of it all together in exchange for some spells or different buffs? Makes sense to me.

I think having an opition of how you play any class is just far and I feel like Rangers are one of the only classes without options like you said Ethics. Thanks for the feedback!

Hey guys, I’m getting towards end game now on my guardian (currently level 74) and I’ve been running a boon support build since level 40ish. What I’m looking for now is a FULL tank or a Tank Healer build now. All I’m focused on is survivability and outlasting people. If you guys know the build for me, please post! PS: Will have full soldier’s gear (vitality,power,toughness gear)

Ok thanks a lot. But still.. I just hate pets. Does anyone know about warrior or theives with bows? I think itd be fun to run a tank bowman for warrior or a stealth bowman for thieves. Thanks for the help everyone!

Exactly IMO pets get in my way more than they help! Plus, I feel like the Ranger is still really powerful without a pet.

Hey guys, I’d like to suggest an opition for the Ranger class to have or not have a Pet with it. Personally, I hate pets and I dislike the fact you can’t permentantly remove it. I think if we had this opition, and you choose to get rid of the pet, you could get something instead.. Example: 5 more spells in spellbook than Rangers with Pets. This is just an idea though so please no trolling thanks! Feedback please

Hey guys, I’d really like some help with this question I have. I’m about to get my first character on this game to 80 and I want to start a new character when I gear him out in a few weeks. My question for you guys is: What class is most affective with a Bow and Arrow? Ever since I started MMOs my all time favorite weapon has always been a short or longbow and for my next character I’d like to make a build with a bow. I’m very big into dungeons and PvE so idk if that means anything but if you guys would help me pick a class and build for a bow I’d very much appreciate it. Thanks!

Does anyone know if there is a short bow build for the thieve? Just curious because I’m about to hit level 80 on my main and when I gear him out I’m going to be rolling a thieve but I like to play far caster. (Even on my Guardian I use specter and shield.) Anyways, If anyone knows of a good thieve build with short bow I’d very much appreciate a build thread post on here. Thanks!

Hey guys, I’d really appreciate if some people would helpful reply on this post with a link to a great sPvP/tPvP build for me. I’ve been running a great clone/phantasm build which traits on buffing them both and have been using specter/torch for main weapons. I’m doing great against other classes but I just keep getting rocked by GS mesmers and I have no idea what build their using to KO me so fast… Like I said, if you could please post me a great PvP type build I’d very much appreciate it! Hey guys, so I decided to roll an engineer just for the sole purpose of proving a lot of ignorant people wrong. My goal was to roll the class that most people thought was the most UP class in the game and I decided to go with the engineer for that reason exactly. I’ve worked on this new account to level 27 so far and I’ve formulated my build based off of hours upon hours of PvP and WvW build changing and gameplay. This build is a condition Dual Pistol Glass Cannon with some good spells to immobilize runners and stay mobile throughout fights (which is the funniest part ^.^). I found that this class/build was most effective in both WvW and sPvP against GC thieves, mesmers (not clone builds), and guardians. Also, make sure you run full precision and condition duration/damage gear. I’m not limiting myself to ONLY a GC build; but I’d prefer it. If you guys know of a good build for engineer in general I’d like to see them as well. Like I said, any tips would be appreciated!

I know for a fact that glass cannon can be rolled on engineer, it’s just more difficult than it is for thieves and mesmers from what I’ve heard. And I personally don’t care about that post because it’s all based on preference.. I just want to know a good GC build please and thank you.

My goal with this account is to turn it into a glass cannon dps who can take on glass cannon thieves and mesmers. Hey guys, I would like some personal opinions on what you would recommend between a mesmer and a thieve. I love CC characters but I just don’t know which one I’d like more? I’m more of a kiter when it comes to PvP or WvW as well, I like to stay back and just spam continuous damage and constantly have space between me and my opponents. Also, if you do happen to recommend something, what do you think is the best weapon(s) for that class for kiting and CC gameplay? (Definitely want to be able to do PvE easily as well.) Thanks!
