Open world events? That would be tricky. Most people relaxing on a beach will not take kindly to someone splashing out of the water and shouting “There’s something in the water….HELP!” Followed by a couple of hundred players converging on the beach and shouting about turrets and “south boats”.

I see your point though but I personally don’t play a lot of the maps all the time unless I need something. I do have shared slots but that’s my preference and it does make things easier for my play style. But before shared slots, I only played certain characters on certain maps (again my play style choice). Maybe one day we’ll get a cool “key ring” since this has been mentioned a couple of times. =]

Well reclaimed plates do not work across characters for me. They only show what I am carrying. I dont carry in the bank, so no idea if that shows up.

Oh ok. Well that is probably why as I put mine in my bank. Maybe give that a try if you have the space to spare. Doesn’t solve the other issue but helps a bit.

My Daredevil is dark with iris as her glow and purpleish hair. I was planning on having her wear t3 cultural armor but my friend wanted to be “twins” and Storm Shadow (GI Joe reference for the youngins). I think it turned out very pretty and cool looking. Anyway, pic below.

Best advice is to play as you normally do and don’t worry about the xp and how “fast” you’re gaining it. It does help if you have boosters (i.e. celebration and/or xp), food and utility items as well that give xp from kills and/or gathering. Also, gathering provides a bit of xp as well. I use to worry about xp gain as well but drove myself crazy and just played. I noticed I gained xp pretty quickly since I wasn’t paying attention to the bar.

I like HoT. I don’t find it hard or frustrating in my opinion. I run around the new maps solo on my Ele all the time unless my friend joins me. Sure, I die if I can’t out run, dodge, use a bouncing mushroom, and/or jump off a cliff and glide away from the mobs trying to murder my face in. But eh not a big deal breaker for me to be honest. I find it fun but to each their own. Also, it’s not hard to find players doing events so, I’m never really alone. But you’ll never know if it’s worth if you don’t at least try it for yourself and come to your own conclusion. =]

I would normally agree as I like seeing fewer things clogging my inventory, but patches are specifically a crafting component; not a resource. Do you not make them only when you need them? As it is now, it’s 1 Damask and 1 Leather, but those both have their own spots and if you’re running out of room for holding those then there is little concern…

However, I would not much complain if they added a spot. Should they also add spots for the backpack tools and jewelry components too? They are basically in the same category.

Well for me, I craft when I have the mats just in case I decide to make a set or sell. Sure, I could easily just leave the mats separate but I made one the other day and noticed there wasn’t a spot after crafting it. Just figured since damask has a spot why not the patch(s)? But this is only a request, if they do it yay. If not no big deal.

I understand what you’re staying but I personally don’t do as much jewel crafting in order for this to matter in my opinion. Thanks for your insight =]

You’re not the only one thinking this actually. I thought the same thing after completing the story and Dragon Stand. It was too easy and left me with the feeling there will be more to come.

I had a hard time with this step as well…I ran around the whole instance looking for green stars before deciding to go back to Taimi. Once I did that I was able to move on to the next step.

Specializations
• Were they fun?
Tempest – I main an Ele so, I found Tempest to be very fun to play. I’m not very technical when it comes to stats and such so, I just picked something comfortable for my play style.
Berserker – Love it! Extremely fun to play and (for me) easy activating the “bezerk” mode. I enjoyed this very much
Chronomancer – My second time playing this spec and I found it rather fun with using wells and the shield skills.

• Did they Change how you play your profession in a meaningful way?
Not really.

• Feedback on new specializations, as well as any changes to the old
Tempest is still op but so is my Ele, I see nothing wrong with it (I’m pve only)
Berserker is just fun to play! So much rage =]

Creatures
• How is the difficulty of the new hostile mobs, and are they fun and exciting?
I found some creatures to be easier than others such as the frogs that just stand there and take damage. I would like to see more movement like the mobs in Silver Wastes for reference. The stealth mobs are a nice touch and had me a bit confused and trying to run away (lol).

World
• With the Opening of two new outposts, we are adding in a bunch of new events. Are they fun?
Day – The day time events are fun however, the Tent event, was not as challenging as only one or two mobs spawned near the tents. Also, fighting the Wyvern for the first time wasn’t easy but once people figured out the fight it was too easy. Even though people still died lol.

Night – The night events are fun however, if people don’t know how to get around the map or to bring supplies, it can be a challenge. I found out that running alone in the jungle at night isn’t a good thing! You will definitely need two to three people with you if hunting down supplies on the paths.

• Do the new events bring you more into the world?
Yes, because the jungle is confusing (as it should be) and finding the event and following it does help with opening the map. The mini map helps a bit but I still use the big map to look around and zoom in. However, my friend and I did get lost on several occasions but I’m not surprised. We are in a jungle and if jungles were easy to navigate people wouldn’t get lost.

• Are the new events challenging, meaningful, and interesting?
Some events are challenging such as holding the Rally Points. Meaning and interesting, yes.

Mastery System
• How is the progression?
At first, I thought the progression was a little slow however, once I started to play both day and night cycles, find Mastery Points and gather, it moved rather quickly for me. I unlocked the second tier of gliding and the second tier of mushrooms. I wasn’t trying but just ran around exploring and doing events.

• How is it using the mastery abilities in the current area?
Gliding by itself is a life saver however, it wasn’t until I unlocked mushrooms did I find both to be useful. I ran into an area where I knew a bridge was located but it wasn’t there, just a mushroom. So, I unlocked mushrooms and that made getting around faster and easier.

• Is the mastery system providing a meaningful area of progression?
Yes.

• Do you care about experience and mastery points?
Not really, I don’t focus on it. I just play and get excited when I “level up” or receive a new Mastery Point.

• Does it provide a good framework to add more masteries in the future?
Yes, the framework is good.

• Do you want to learn as many masteries over time to overcome challenges later in the future?
Definitely!

Bugs
• Report and notify any and all bugs using in game system as well as boards. Take screenshots and describe as best as you can.
See attached screenshot. I found a blue Asura under the Corpse Grove on the same branch as the Mastery Point. Also, a coupld of floating Mordi Minions

With all the negative rage going on around the net and game, I wanted to take time out and say, Thank you. Colin was so excited to show/tell us all the hard work you all did on the Guild Halls and announce the pre-order last night. When I opened the page to see the cost, I knew right away I’d buy the $100 bundle as it’s worth it to me. I know there’s a lot of rage/negative feedback right now and that’s understandable but do know, there are people out there like me who will buy the expansion (and have already) with no problem.

Thanks for all your hard work and I can’t wait to play HoT!

I stopped playing a couple months after launch and came back this past June. The game isn’t a wasteland at all. Once you get the hang of it again, you’ll enjoy it like I do (hopefully). =]

Besides everyone is a critic on forums

Like I said before, flashback episode into Caithe’s past. The PC you see turning into Caithe just happen’s be Sylvari cause that’s what the Dev’s are playing as. Makes for a good video =p

Since we’re taking on Caithe’s image in this episode, looks like we’re talking to the the firstborn’s (pretty sure that’s Trahearne’s head >.<). From what I got from Season 1 was that Omadd used Scarlett as a lab rat (she stated this in one of her rants). Also, that other Asura experimented on Sylvari to see what made them “tick”. Think about it, a new race of plant people appear out of the blue from a huge tree. Who wouldn’t be curious to know how and why?
