It’s quite simple.
You can’t lock WvW for the night, that’s just unfair.
But how about creating more NPCs depending on how many players are online?
This would also be a good solution for servers with low populations.
The less players are online, the more NPCs stand around in and around their keeps.
If you call yourself a nice, mature, easy-going and/or all around pleasant person to hang out with,
if you enjoy PvE and/or the frequent trips to PvP-Land and WvW-Ville,
if you are looking for a cozy family of fellow players instead of feeling like you are a member of some faceless corporation,
if you like participating in guild activities and events without feeling forced to do so, and if you are European or alternatively non-European with a screwed up (I mean… unconventional, heh) gaming schedule…
if you are all of the above, then why not visit us at our homepage?
We want to know our members and we want our members to know each other. Thus, we have a limit of 50 members. However, friends/family of existing members don’t account to that number and they may join whenever they like.

Agreed, this would make it all much more easy!
…why not simply charge for server transfers…?
By the way, all of you who agree with me, say so. Otherwise I fear this thread will soon be just one of the many threads that go unseen or unrecognised.
AGREED!
It totally bums me out that server transfers are still free. By the way, why are they still free?
It destroys the WvW experience for our server (aurora glade) completely. More and more guilds just leave the sinking ship like rats, going to other servers; people complain about the lack of a fighting spirit, which is just natural because more and more players lose hope we can actually WIN something – because everybody knows people are going away from the server. Many players spend their money on WvW, on upgrading keeps and forts, just to see that it is taken half an hour later because we simply don’t have enough MANPOWER. I’m playing with a constant “outmanned” bonus, which is useless, because wherever I want to go, I run into invisible zergs or invisible groups of just a few players (no matter which graphic settings I use) and get killed instantly. That’s no fun at all. I enjoy WvW a lot actually, but like this… hopeless.
Please put a fee on server transfers again!
From the very beginning, Miller’s sound has been at least 30,000 points ahead.
Yep, matching system works!
…’nuff said
Sorry for the silly question, but me and dozens of others on my server have been wondering what exactly is actually considered an exploit in WvW.
- Mesmer portals – are these exploits? Mesmer portals can be used to get large groups of other players into an enemy keep. That can only be done if the mesmer creating the portal managed to hide inside the keep before it was taken, or if he managed to hide after a zerg tried to get it and didn’t manage to. Then he can create this portal (e.g. on the wall), jump out, create the other half of it, and whoops, his fellow players can easily access the keep. This is being considered tactics by many players and not an exploit.
- Thief ink shot – Thieves can teleport themselves on walls from the water. Again, many players consider this a professional use of the thief’s skills, not an exploit.
Me and many other players would be very happy to finally have an official statement about this from ArenaNet, since it is very irritating if you don’t know if you can use your skills to the fullest or if you have to be afraid of being suspended from the game for doing so. Also there are whole guilds out there using those techniques; makes one wonder if it actually could be considered an exploit if so many players use it on a day-by-day basis.
Definitely sounds like fun… you get my vote!
This is a known issue, also referred to as “perma-stealthed thieves”. ArenaNet are aware of it It’s a rendering issue that started with the last patch, afaik, and I think it will be fixed soon.
