all games have grind!

GW2 has the worst grind IMO, The Heart system was a cool way to break away from the traditional questing system, but I find it even more boring. Just go to a heart, do what it says, go on to next one, repeat again and again. At least with questing zones there was something of a story (Even if that story is boring as hell)

I do not see any comparisons between wow and GW2 here, simply a way to compliment them both. I apologize if mentioning wow here is considered against the rules

Pre-80 open world PvE and WvW are the only areas GW2 can compete with WoW.

I disagree with the Pre-80 open world, but I believe that GW2 pvp is far superior

I played GW2 for a few months and eventually, despite all the good things, I still prefer WOW (please do not send me hate messages for this). However, I think it is great that GW2 has become so popular and well-received by critics. For the last two expansions, Blizzard was arrogant and thought that they could put out as much crappy content as they wanted and thought they could get away with it. Well, not any more,GW2 is going to provide a lot of competition. Without competition their is no reason for a company to put out quality products, but with competition their is a challenge to make the better product. I think that this competition will make both games better.

I’ve actually found that playing staff Elementalist attuned to water is very similair to playing a wow healer except it’s a lot more fun and challenging

Combat roles, no trinity...

Agree with what you say, the reason i have mainly gone back to WOW are becuase of those two reasons

By level 30 I had every skill that I knew I wanted for sure, Having the exact same skills with no changes since then has been very boring. I know people will say “Just switch with other skills!” But as I said before, I already know which ones I actually want to use.

I don’t like the dungeon system much either, besides the slow pace of dungeons (5 minutes in one small room fighting stuff), It also feels very boring without the Trinity system as there is no structure, just everyone beating the crap out of monsters

Don’t get me wrong, GW2 is still a great game!

Signet of Restoration is really weak?

in Elementalist

Posted by: Spakpak.7260

Spakpak.7260

Okay so I have been using Signet of restoration and it seemed to be really, really weak. I’m at lvl 14 and I also happen to have a lvl 14 warrior so I compared Signet of Restoration to the Warriors healing Signet.

Signet of Restoration: with daggers spamming the first skill I heal about 14 a second
Signet of Healing: 52 healing a second

Signet of Restoration: Heals for 161 when used
Signet of Healing: Heals for 220 when used

Signet of Restoration: 25 second CD
Signet of Healing: 20 second CD

As you can see, Healing Signet is clearly far better. These facts just seem really unfair to me and I suggest some balance to these skills

Warrior

This is how I feel about melee weapons that I have mainly used so far
Greatsword: seems kinda OP, can do very good damage against both single target and AOE

Dual Axes: These are amazing against multiple targets, can gain adrenaline really fast (With spin to win skill you can usually go from nothing to full bar if you are fighting 3 or more) However, when you are fighting single target they seem extremely weak

Hammer: Not that good for PVE Imo but it is so much fun

will race changes be added?

Im a female Sylvari warrior and I look pretty kitten cool if I do say so myself! I have my lighter DPS gear that looks tough but flexible and I have a set thats a lot more chunky for my ‘tanky’ set. Sure wearing the huge armour pieces like those spikey shoulders is ridiculous but Ive chosen the armour pieces to compliment my character, not the other way around.

Nice! I wish I could feel the same way about my character. Maybe with more levels I will look cooler, what level are you?

Please also include to change appearances. I just realized my character is too short.

I know that feel, appearance changes will be made for sure I think, as they lack the complexities of my problem

So I made a sylvari warrior and now I have realized that it was a terrible combination. a Norn or Charr thief looks more like a warrior than me >.<
I assumed that they would add race changes but I realized that things might get tricky because the fact that your story is kind of based on your race.

Pistol/Pistol or Shortbow for PVE

Realized that I need to start using ranged in order to survive some quest instances. Are the dual pistols or short bow better for PVE

Just bring dueling

in PvP

Spakpak.7260

Please add Dueling! It was my favorite part of WOW, I remember I could hang around for hours dueling people. It would also be nice if they had level equalizer in duels as well

One thing that made me realize how amazing GW2 is...

was to play WOW for a bit. It was funny at first (Having played so much GW2 I was trying to dodge attacks and cast while moving), then i realized how awful the combat system is. The fact that you end up standing in the same place the whole time is incredibly unsatisfying, the fact that you can move makes it feel so much more like “real action.” The dodge also adds so much more to combat. In WOW, you don’t have to even see the enemy, only important thing is the health bar. I love how in GW2 you have to constantly watch the enemy to anticipate their attacks
