Not sure if OP is trolling or stupid, honestly am already tired of people calling skipping mobs exploiting, but I will say it once again. Skipping mobs, neither bosses is not exploiting. That was confirmed by devs. If you don’t like it, that’s your own problem.

Marcus Greythorne: I got your point. Maybe it was just a bad idea to make that video. It was never about pushing my guardian to his limits, hell I haven’t even used any buffs or food. I simply tried it my way and it worked. That elementalist maybe used as many skills as possible, but at the end, it took him longer to kill Kholer than me And I cannot say he would be fighting for his life. Sure, it might looks better, but sometimes less is more
Haven’t read all posts, but as I see many people think that hammer does crap damage and is useless. I can say its not. In wvw, no matter who is my oponent, 1vs1 none beaten me yet. Hammer is great in dungeons, in PvE also usefull, but in open world I prefer GS as it gives little more flexibility.

Bad habbit that still last, as in my previous mmo we had too many skills and I got used to click them with mouse, as there were no more keys to bind them to

I will have to try this, but I’m kind of disappointed now. A boring rotation/CD-spam? I wonder if this is working as intended.

Not sure why are you basically calling me kitten for my play-style, so I decided to bring some light to this topic. I could maybe use Hold the Line instead of Stand yyour ground, but I wanted to have another skill breaking stun, just in case. Yes I am spamming only 1 and 2 skills with hammer on boss, do you want to know why?
3rd step of 1st skill gives me protection, regeneration from symbol and as a bonus damage to boss. When I needed to heal up a bit, I simply did not use 2nd skill and rather went for another symbol with skill 1. If you wondering why I did not use 3-5 skills, then you probably knows absolutely nothing about hammer and guardian and I wont lose time explaining.
Won’t quote your next post, but I will reply. I though not using F2/F3 is kinda obvious, why would I lose permanent regeneration for one little instant heal every ~60 seconds? I used only F1 as it has small CD and every boon heals me. In this fight every HP was good.
Wondering why I used my shouts everytime CD was over? Should I just let them lay there and die because it’s not cool using shouts? I would suggest you to go and try it yourself, you will see that you will fight for every single hp.
At the end I want to say that I did not make this video to show something so cool amazing extra or don’t know what else. I did it to show people that cannot do it, it is possible the way I did. I expected criticism, constructive criticism, but what you did is just talking something you have no clue about.

Yes I know many people and many professions already did this, but I still found it very cool and dynamic fight worth recording, so maybe someone will enjoy watching it and even try it too
marnick, go and try it with your untraited profession, you will fail hard. pretty low damage? seriously? I think you never tried it before and have no clue what you are talking about

Queen is pretty simple if you manage to deal with little spiders at start.
Kholer was harder, basically every little mistake can kill you, but it is very dynamic and impressive fight, +1 to devs for this boss

Hi Robert, as you call yourself hardcore player, am sure that you have experience from many other mmos. So far I have most experience with pass-greed-need table when it comes to rewarding players in dungeons. Am not saying it’s good, but it surely is 100% better than current random scrit giving (mostly not giving) us ascended rings. I know people are scared when it comes to “omg i need this item so much, what if they roll higher than me?,” but let’s be serious, atm there are people that have 10 rings out of 15 tries and the others that are still stuck at 0/15.
Now we get to Maw again and party gets another ring. Guys with 2 rings with suitable stats won’t roll since they got what they wanted (unless they are 12y old trolls) and give chance to others. While with current system, you can just go and cry in corner when you see that lucky guy got his 16th ring.
That was just and example of solution (yes I will probably be burned by casuals for saying that). Or there are many other simple solutions.
1. Let us trade rings in TP – you say that will make fotm farmers rich? so what, they deserve it for time spent in there. Rings with not popular stats (that are sadly kinda common) will become very very cheap in few days, so everyone can buy them and proceed to higher fractal levels. That will mean more people farming higher tiers and price will keep decreasing.
2. Let us buy rings from NPC for Fractal tokens + give us possibility to change ring for another one (for decent amount of tokens ofc)

I was participating almost to the end and still I have got no mail. There is definetely something wrong on devs side. I would say ok, I will be patient, but when I see people that did not participate at all or people that got the chest during the event getting emails, am getting seriously pissed off.
It would be cool if we get list of criteria who is actually getting these chests in mail. I have spent ~2 hours there and got DCed while we’ve been moving towards the nest with ancient karka (event before final boss).
no sorry, at least those dc get a chance to actually play the content… we as non cheaters dont..

I knew about these so called exploits, even I did never use them to get advantage, just because I had no reason to do so. But when you disconnect, you can rage quit. See the difference?
Before patch for me it was about 80-90% chance getting rare item from chest, dunno how it is now.
So basically you only fixed issues that might cause exploiting/something that could help players, but you still did absolutely nothing about disconnection problems and other important stuff. That’s bullcrap you know.
Now I hate Fractals as much as I loved them in first days. Please fix this asap or many people will rage quit.
When I heard about new Fractals dungeon, I was excited. First days of farming were great, very nice ideas implented into all 9 fractals + amazing background make it repeatable for quite a long time.
BUT
As time passes, I (and surely many others) realised why this is not gonna work well.
1. it’s so annoying that you cannot join back if you disconnect. i know anet is working on it, but it was week ago since they started, it’s just too long as it’s nothing hard to be fixed.
2. bugged asura lab map, as me and my group got stucked several times after killing boss, because we had no cinematic – no way to continue. not to mention some people crash everytime they enter this fractal
3. I need at least 30 minutes (if am lucky) to find group for my level. this is just kitten so bad idea, I cannot believe you did this. It’s only one week and the level scale is already too wide to find people at your level. Doing lower levels fractals is not an option if you want to progress, I don’t have 24/7 time to play.
4. Random rewards is the worst system of rewarding in dungeon I have ever seen. Even pure grinding game gives you chance to get what you want, sure if you win or lose thats another story. Am talking mainly about rings. Ok, they are unique, but tell me, what do I do with 20 other UNIQUE rings that lay in my backpack, while am still waiting for other one to drop? I am playing one character only, not interested in trying anything else, as I found what I was looking for. All I can do is selling them for 5s to vendor, that doesn’t really feel being unique. My suggestion: give us possibility to change existing ring to other for some amount of tokens. If you want to keep this stupid random stuff in game, at least don’t make everyone rage quit.
5. Please no “thanks for your feedback” to this thread.
So far we know that philosophers make offensive infusion slot and crystals defensive, thing is that its not the only thing that changes, if you make pow/vit/tou item, with philosophers you will get only those 3 stats not sure but something like 53/35/35. But, using crystal (to get defensive slot) will make it 32/35/35 + 5% magic find.
As I said numbers are not exact, but I guess you got my point. I prefer that 53/35/35 as I find magic find in gear waste of stat spot. I want to get agony resistance to make it useful in Fractals, but I dont really understand difference between offensive and defensive infusion. I dont feel like wasting tens of gold to gamble on stats.
I find it absolutely hilarious that people are crying over this new tier of items when it adds +2 to stats over Exotics. Yes people that is +2 in stats!
That is far from making Exotics inferior to the new armor tier… +2 in stats x6 armor pieces for a total of +12 is still a far cry from making Exotics no longer viable…
Any increase at all over my exotics is a step toward a gear treadmill which Anet said would not happen.

Read it again and you will get it. Adding new tier of gear doesn’t mean it must be grindy. Actually am pretty sure it will be very easy to obtain this new stuff. Just like any other tier of items.
Why do you have to comment everything new how its bad and so till you actually see it ingame? yes am talking about new gear. kitten its ONLY ring and back slot having slightly better stats and special effect, that will be most likely available to everyone before you actually need it. is it really gonna kill you? seriously this game has only one major issue – its community
As I said in first post, I’ve had a chance to be part of hardcore guild where everything had to work like in Swiss watches and now I got to opposite. Opposite… yes, this is the whole point of my idea, people understand the opposite of being hardcore, casual, something underpowered, lame, weak. For me it means I don’t spend many hours ingame anymore, am not playing in so cooperated group anymore, but what’s important, am still hungry for challenges. This is the key that babycriers, as you said, don’t understand. I think that Tusuri nicely said things I forgot to mention. Especially that we need some pain that will keep us trying. None will say it loudly, but I clearly remember how I felt when we killed last boss in new instance for first time. Everyone shouting on teamspeak, feeling satisfaction for all the time we spent trying. I have to say, it was worth it and even if it was only online game, I will never forget that feeling and I wish every mmo player to feel it at least once
I’ve been browsing GW2 forums since headstart and there are things that make me worried. Before I start, I should say that my english is far from being perfect, but I hope it will be understandable for all of you.
Before I started to play GW2, I played another mmo for 3 years. Last 2 years I’ve been part of small organized guild that was top of EU community, in both, pve and pvp. Sure, it’s totally different game compared to GW2, but I want to point out fact that I know what does hardcore playing means. Times changed and now I don’t play more than few hours per week.
Guild Wars 2 is very friendly to players that don’t have much time to play. Much more friendlier than any other mmo. No need to grind hundred of hours to participate in latest content, because gear is available for all and even in so many ways – crafting, karma, dungeons… Now let’s get to the problem. Usually people that don’t have much time to play complain about difficulty of ingame content. What’s worse, there are many of them. That many so am afraid it will make Anet think about making currently easy content even easier.
Guild Wars 2 is meant to be easy to play, but hard to master. What does it mean for all of us? 99% of content if not all should be accessible for everyone, no matter how much time we spend online. Of course you need some time to level up but that’s still nothing compared to any other mmo. I see many so called casuals complain about things that werent doable for them at first try. Example? Go browse Dungeons forum: AC story too hard, Arah too long etc… But for God’s love, having accessible content for everyone doesnt mean that it will be easy! Currently average player needs like 30 minutes to complete AC explo path for example. Monkey would need maybe 3 hours. Both got the same content but monkey needed more time to do it, and that’s it. Just like in real life. Smart people that work hard will always finish they work faster than lazier people.
Did you think about the future, what will happen if Anet actually listen to this kind of people? Sure they will be happily playing and get everything for free, but what will come next? 90% will leave because of boredom. I know what am talking about, this was the reason that killed game I came from. Why? None wants to play just for fun. You need some goal to keep playing for longer period than few days.

I am one of those that haven’t done Clocktower puzzle yet, but still I think that it’s very nice idea to add some harder content to Guild Wars 2 and this is a good start. Seriously, most of the events got feeling like Hello Kitty Online, having something that is not doable at first try is welcome.
To be honest I dont understand why you came here and whine, you dont need to finish it, you can try if you want to, but its not a must. At the end events like this will sepparate real players and the others, and even if am not one of players that finished it, I like the idea.
