Almost 2k hours, 12 precursors. All from MF

got 10. 6x dusk, 3x dawn, 1x axe. all from mystic forge.

I had really bad start, spent more like 2k gold, got nothing, then in 15 minutes 2x dusk and 1x dawn. I always used rares and also forged exotics that I got from them.

Since yesterdays patch, most of T6 materials dropped in price. Venom Sac for example is down to 11s. Anything I missed?

I made about 1000g. There was a point when I was down to 17g, but then it went up again. Pretty good fun I would say, but quite risky. I am not gonna do it again.

She also said that they are working on it and it will come soon. Soon… you get it? Maybe our grand children will have a chance to experience it. Or it will come bundled with another paid expansion.

One could predict that insignia prices will rise fast.. we will see

I’d imagine so. Weapons are not as expensive as armor, but mainly doing this would allow for an easily and cheaply method of obtaining all skills for a single weapon.

Just want to clarify since I saw this come up a couple of times in this thread and we haven’t actually released our full official patch notes for 6/23 yet….

Ascended Gear will be staying 5% better than Exotic Gear. Gear beyond the tiers we already have are not going to be added and our existing tiers won’t change, they won’t be our main end-game form of progression for your characters/account for all the reasons we’ve covered before – it isn’t what we think Gw2 is about.

Masteries is being added to PvE to help provide this system as our form of progression for PvE moving forward, and the WvW ability system exists for WvW and will be what we use to expand WvW in the future.

To more directly answer some of your point….We are adding a system that lets you change the stats for your ascended gear next Tuesday – which will cost a combination of 10 spirit shards, piece you don’t want anymore, 5 ectos, and an exotic insignia of the stats you want to convert to. Legendary Gear will remain the gear that can freely change stats any time.

I have no idea if it’s related to this, but a lot of people started speculatively buying/selling things based on ‘preparing’ for Heart of Thorns.

But they didn’t say a single word about the 2 remaining crafting professions that are still at 400 cap. I have seen so many threads about it in the past years, but devs obviously keep ignoring it for some reason. Maybe they hope we will forget what was promised back in 2013.

Is there anything only few people know about? Like jeweler 500 coming soon? Because I was expecting it to come all year 2014 and the prices werent moving at all, so why now? Orders are still quite low, but there is definetely something happening. Maybe someone trying to manipulate the market (see Coral Orb supply for example)?

I will surely not buy HoT expansion before we get any statement regarding these professions that were PROMISED long time ago. Sure, it’s not important, but I for once would like to see things like this not being ignored.

I am pretty annoyed with fact that they keep ignoring this. They promised back in 2013 that ALL professions will go up to 500 and there is too much waiting. I would be fine if someone said “no, we won’t add the last two professions” but their ignoration is just annoying.

Also a good reason why it was a bad idea to separate team leaderboards from solo leaderboards. 99-0 is definitely impressive for a team. It would be 1000x more impressive if someone did that by doing solo queue.

Impressive? Yes. Possible? Not at all. I have played ~250 games during Wintersday event and there are too many players in ranked arena who make this impossible. Heroes with legedaries and pve setup or simply bad players that just want to “have fun”. Such player counts towards enemy lines, as he is instant +5 for enemy team whenever he engages into battle. If you want to have good w/l ratio in ranked arena playing without team, you are gonna have a bad time.

I usually just wait in base if one or more team mates are doing stupid things despite of warnings and advices. Of course only if this behaviour guarantee us loss and the match is already lost. I don’t really enjoy playing a match with my own team mates helping enemy.

How would you act if you see that player in your team, who keeps rushing far point with turret engi there and die 5x in a row in few seconds. These people are worse than plague for your team, giving free points to enemy and should not be tolerated in ranked games.

You are bad and want to play? Sure, go and play, but not in ranked arena. I don’t mind telling what I think, or blocking people who deny to use brain. If they block me back because I am “rude idiot” – I couldn’t care less.

After hundreds of games played in ranked arena, I feel like personal score should be removed. There are so many people that seems to be quite new in pvp in ranked arena (no idea why, but this is another topic) and as far as I’ve seen, they care about their personal points more than winning or anything else.

Most common example: After winning fight in close point, 3 people stand there, just to get 10 points instead of rushing to other points and take advantage of situation. When you point out that they are doing something wrong, they start calling you noob and their strongest argument is that you have worse personal score than them, so at the end, you are the one to be blamed.

Lately there is so much of this behaviour to be seen and I feel like people would care much more about actual game if there would be no personal points. Maybe you could rework it, so even running through the point would give you 10 points once its captured.

They were too busy remaking daily/monthly system for 4th time. No time left for other stuff.

Okay, here is my story…

I was trying to get precursor out of mystic forge, for almost two years I spent more than 2000g gold in the toilet. Then one day, I decided to give it one more try. When I got Dusk, I couldn’t believe it. I just did not expect to ever see that precursor in my bag. I had ~100 more bought greatswords waiting in TP to be picked up. What happened next was just amazing. After few tries, I got Dawn. But there was more. The next forging gave me Dusk!

15 minutes of forging gave me 2x Dusk and 1x Dawn and I got my gold that I lost over the past months back and finally crafted my Twilight.

Give us one more option to report: “WvW trolling”. When 10+ players report the same player, don’t let him use/take supply nor drop/use siege for some time (24h or even more)

As the title says… Once they announced that ALL crafting disciplines will be stretched to 500. I am not asking if it makes sense or if jeweler has something to offer since we have Fractals and blablabla. I won’t go though archives to find the quotation, but it was in the first news article that annonced first 3 crafting disciplines being updated (for those who are curious). Some official response would be cool, “no, we have no plans with jeweler and chef”/“yep, we will update the remaining two crafting disciplines soon (evil laugh)” would be enough.

Anyway you slice it, the price on precursors has reached insane levels. I started seriously working on getting a precursor a couple of weeks ago. I’m making about 50-70g a day. And I can’t even keep up with inflation on these things anymore. When I started, the precursor I wanted was 800g. And it’s been rapidly rising. Just in the past few hours, we’ve had a 200g jump in price on the thing from the already inflated price of 1,100g to 1,300g. I’ve been working on on this for weeks, spending 100% of my time in game just working on making money, diligently saving, never buying anything.

It’s not even so much that it’s expensive. It was expensive when I started. It’s that it’s a constantly shifting goal post and it’s out running me. Two days ago, I was at 800g and was only 200g away from it. Now I’m at 900g and I’m 400g away from it. I’m just really frustrated by this. Like what am I supposed to do? I can farm 1,000 gold. I can farm 2,000 gold. But I can’t farm 200g per hour.

You should take a look on gw2spidy, because what you say is simply not true. Ignore Dusks that are placed in trading post. Highest buy order is thing that matters. And it’s pretty much the same for weeks, so your absurd 200g per hour really makes no sense.

I would not classify FOTM as difficult content itself. The only thing that makes it difficult is a stupid game mechanic called agony that really has no purpose in any dungeon. Why have agony when you can just have a difficult dungeon? I don’t buy the whole thing, “Errr.. kitten .. kitten .. we need content for 95 percent of the player base.” That’s why you have a normal mode and a HARD mode. And Yes, Hard Mode has better rewards and the prestigious skins. If you can’t beat the dungeon, you don’t deserve them.

I think it will come very soon, we got new combo of stats, recipes to make weapons and armor. It would be logical to introduce jeweler 500 very soon.

They clearly said that they don’t want to hurt the precursor market and your solution would totally ruin it. It would be good idea at start but not after almost 2 years.

I have to admit that items have weird names, devs should probably look into this and hotfix the issue

I am so happy with all that hype around July 1st realease of Living World Season 2, but I would like to see something bit different as well. We had ascended armor released in december 2013 and that’s pretty much it, yeah we have some recycled (and nerfed) pavilion right now, but it’s going away in few days and I am afraid there will be nothing left except story update.

We got feature patch, you fixed some stuff, cool. We had boring WvW tournament with known winners before it even started (looking at you Gandara), but I would love to see some of the things promised loooong time ago – precursor scavenger hunt, new legendaries or even the mysterious jeweler/cooking 500.

Am I asking too much?

Pretty much the same problem like having 1-2 players AFK in team – reason why I stopped playing pvp.

OP do you live in wonderland? Usually if I want something, I have to work towards it. If you wanted all achievements, you should have started playing earlier. I am also not crying because I have no Legendary weapon while others have all of them. Should Anet give me each Legendary weapon for free, because I want them?

Ok honestly, every company running MMO game becomes greedy, sooner or later. That’s pretty much what’s happening here.

They are losing literally no money by delay in distribution of rewards, while Gem Store issues cut their direct income.

I got to the point where I don’t care when/if I see the rewards I was looking forward to, but on the other hand, you can make sure that I won’t support someone who kitten on my head

No, the last money Anet saw from me was the money I paid for the game at start.

I am waiting for the next game that understands players – hasn’t happened since SWG and (Vanilla) WoW (some players are still going “back” to WoW…).

I played one f2p mmo game that I sadly cannot name here, left it with my guild to play GW2 together, because we didn’t like how the developers (and publisher) cared about players. I can tell you it is much worse in GW2 and I am the last one playing…

Wasted potential of this game, ruined by lazy developers that only care about Gem Store and while it’s going well, they won’t give a kitten about community.
