More na guilds have left JQ in the last two weeks??

None have transferred off, just a series of rather unfortunate events.

We had Zombieland, a guild who could field as many as 40 players during NA prime more or less disintegrate. The GM of Zombieland quit the game (I wouldn’t know exactly exactly why) causing many of his members to leave, although some of them joined up with other JQ guilds like HzH.

Also, Pro has for the most part moved on to FFXIV from what i’ve heard. There are still a few playing in WvW but the guild itself has mostly moved over.

so right now, the only major guilds we have in NA are: AoS (Who have been fielding far fewer players lately) SF, SG, HzH and EMP. Most of these guilds can field no more than 30 on a typical night. what that means is that JQ can typically field enough in NA to cover our home BL, EB, and a mid-sized group on just one of the enemy borderlands.

Of course, JQ has a number of small roaming guilds who do great work hitting camps and sniping yaks, but they run less and less these days and even at full strength are unable to deal with the huge NA presence of SoR and, to a lesser extent, BG.

ahh kitten that sucks dude, but i cant say im shocked. I expect many more guilds quitting this game in the upcoming months, mostly from being bored.

They best way to understand BG is to imagine a 5 Floor gigantic Wagon Bus with an extremely deep pocketed bus conductor.

From what i know about FA, is that FA consist of very veteran players with only 1 or 2 wagon guilds. But BG is still huge

One may even say BG has 3 times the players of JQ and JQ has 1.5x the number of FA

Stop acting like JQ doesn’t stand a chance in this match-up. BG-SoR-JQ all have what it takes to win if either server is able to rally enough people to get into WvW, just like what BG did last week.

JQ has 0, yes a grand total of z e r o Oceanic and EU guilds. BG’s strongest timezone, and about half the NA guilds we had 2 weeks ago.

You have to go through EB to get to OS, OS is not a solution.

We need a cloned small map with no objectives and no WvW buff to serve as a training grounds. No wxp can be gained there and it has hotm style training areas at each spawn with an open field for fighting

i like this idea, But i think most GvGers kinda want an arena type thing, so they can face off against guilds from All servers(EU and NA), and not have to Xfer around. GvGers r just worried anet will again make the GvG arena a PPT kinda thing, instead of a deathmatch like we want.

Cutting a conditions duration is reducing the amount of HP you lose. Armor reducing conditions would completely break the use of conditions that reduce HP. Also, condition damage has diminishing returns built into it. Unlike the multiple power builds that scale up.

If they do make it, I sure hope it is not in PvP. It fits much better in the WvW space where there are more options of gear and food choices. PvP is not strategic enough.

haha yes it is…. all the same builds you make in WvW you can make in SPvP. they just dont have the way too high stats. You know, actually having to make important build choices and picking and choosing what to be good at.

Though I guess that isnt strategic enough for 2 groups of 20 players to just train into each other and spam skills.

You have absolutely no idea how limited sPvP is, do you? What if I want 3 pieces of carrion, 2 pieces zerk and the rest soldier?(random gear BTW, don’t take it seriously) What about the food buffs, balance differences(there’s one trait that makes the difference between day and night for staff eles for example) and the forced transformation of crit damage on all amulets into a defensive stat? Knight gear in PvE is also T/p/p, not V/p/p. Valk also has switched toughness for vitality and the healing is crit damage.
Have you ever gone out of sPvP to at least look at the level 80 gear?

i WvW… thats mostly all I do. WvW is an unbalanced mess because of the things you listed, food buffs, higher stats and dmg, now ascended weps will add even more. It is in no way a true balanced test of skill.

They did say that there is a group of people that are looking into GvG in a recent German interview.

They also said that Commander improvements will come in time, but are not part of core issues for them. Read last blog posted by Devon.

As for bugs and general resource allocation its pretty clear that Anet leadership doesn’t consider the gametype anything but a casual distraction from PvE. So they don’t allocate resources to fix them.

What this man said. Vizunah is the server to go to if you want the win. They are the only t1 EU server that plays the ppt game exclusively and are very, very good at it. They slack sometimes but always rebound almost instantly. Just check their win history so far.

Come on anet. These r not even My ideas, sure i tweaked and added some stuff,but this is just a small handful of the great ideas YOUR wvw/game community has been asking for, for awhile.

The GVG idea which im sure many ppl would be happy with if you gave GVGers there own arena to fight in, it would make both your wvwers happy and your GVG happy giving them both what they want.

But most of the ideas r just tweaks to Stuff already in your game, Small tweaks infact, but tweaks that would make a VERY large impact and improve your game. Especially the Raid and commander ideas, it would create less Blob on blob and more zerg on zerg(20-30v20-30) action, this would also help with the lag issue.

The bug fixes well u should be working on this issue anyways, and i hope your getting close to fixing that stuff.

Also awe is just as fairweathered as TC pugs, didn’t see you guys much during your 2 weeks in T1 but your sure doing a lot of talking now.

Awe only has a 10 – 15 man wvw core. We may not be many but we do our part and fought hours against wave after wave after wave against waha. And against my old guildmates and buddies in SOR and BG.

TBH you were only in t1 for 2 weeks, and about 50% of your WvW force stopped showing up after the first week

Lol! JQ is like the most bipolar server. One minute they’re double-teaming SoR with BG, next minute they’re double-teaming BG with SoR.

That’s not the problem with JQ. The problem is that BG is a bit “weird” when it comes to tactics.

Example 1
SoR tries to take an upgraded JQ bay. BG has at least two good options.
- take an unguarded upgraded SoR hills
- take an unguarded upgraded JQ spawn tower.
BG runs to JQ bay to watch the fight or get wiped there or get some bags or whatever.

Example 2
JQ attacks SoR garrison, SoR comes to defend.
BG attacks JQ spawn tower and camp instead taking their bay back or.. getting NW tower.

Sure, you can play it that way, but it makes absolutely no sense. And many of the situations when JQ decides to go for BG are because BG just did something stupid before, like taking JQ spawn camp with their whole zerg, while JQ is pushing SoR garrison or such things.

Maybe BG was trying to pay JQ back for hitting them, or playing a 2v1 against them. They may have just wanted to get in on a 3 way.

Just saying, there is 2 sides to every story. OMG I DEFENDED BG AGAIN!

Well you have not played as long as others, so you don’t get to complain. Many people need to take some rest and replenish funds.

Except when I was active, I practically lived in WvW for months on end just like many, many others on the server. Of course back then, mindlessly farming champs for massive amounts of gold wasn’t a thing. We had great coverage for every time zone. Now it’s a ghost town half the time. Replenishing funds? For 3+ weeks now? I think that’s part of it but also a plethora of other factors like other games and burn-out with GW2 in general.

Don’t blame the server, blame the crazy PVE events which can yield tens of gold every hour. That, along with all the orr exploiters have pushed the prices of everything up. And mostly, people are stacking up on materials for ascended weapons. Expect it to be like this for at least 2 more weeks.

I really dont get his argument, BG won just last week. BG has good coverage still.

Every server in the game has less ppl right now, because of lack of wvw patches ppl r a little burned out. Wvw get a single cookie once a month, while the pve players get lobster every 2 weeks. Then add in games like FF and u see an already shrinking pop get even smaller

If anet doesnt wake up and give there WvW player base somethings we actually want, i really dont see this game lasting another year, atleast wvw.

I think this may actually be a good idea. Let’s make every post on the 1st page of this subforum about GvG. We can have posts for every big matchup for discussion without getting it too cluttered. Every single big WvW guild does GvGs, and I’d argue that GvG guilds take up at least 60-70% of the total hours played in WvW.

I can confirm this to be patently false. In fact some of us dislike GvG in its entirety because it completely subverts the whole concept of free-range PvP where terrain and other factors play a big part in deciding the winner.

I’m pretty sure HB isn’t small, either.

For the most part it is ONLY YOUR SERVER that has the biggest issue with GVG.

What a joke. A game called “guild wars” and it wants no GVG action. This game shoulda been called Zerg wars, or Clash of the Zergs. WvW is a kittening joke where coverage wins, and with the upcoming ORBs coming back its only gonna make the stronger server have an even bigger advantage.

It really should not be a shock to anyone that Anet is trying to hide/discourage the GVG movement. They do not listen or care at all about what the player base wants.

1) GVG arena

2) A counter for wvw, so we can see how many ppl r on what map, and an estimate on the que

3) Glitches getting fixed, such as ppl glitching threw gates or wall climbing.

4) Zergs, Ppl have wanted small group fights since the start, but anet keeps making changes to benefit the Zergs more then smaller organized groups. Such as a Raid option where u can have 25 ppl in it and the buffs only effect thos 25 in your raid.

5) Private guild commander tags, or Just better commander tag options

I’d love it if your server for WvW was independent of your server for PvE, and WvW transfers were free. That would kill the server stacking meta that exists currently.

Probably not technically feasible without massive changes in “the way things are done.”

How would that kill the server stacking meta? If anything, everyone would just stack to the winning servers and the losing servers would be completely empty.

The stacking meta started when server transfers stopped being free. T1 was “stacked” to a degree when it was free, but NOTHING like it is now. What we have now is absolutely a world apart from what it was.

If guilds were able to transfer all over the place, at will, lots of guilds would just try out different servers for different experiences, and stacking to the servers with the most fights, etc, would be a lot less of a priority, because you could always transfer back later if you wanted.

I would love to be able to transfer to EU for a few weeks and see what it’s like over there without having to shell out $50 for the ability.

HOD was the most stacked server in this games history, they had 24/7 coverage. Let me put it this way, ET of old is wich was the 3rd/4th server back then, was prob still more stacked then the servers r today.

THE wvw pop in this game has dropped alot. SO yes the t1 server now r stacked, but in no way r they STACKED compared to the days of HOD

They sit there and say they support/believe in WvW, but what really have they given wvw ppl for the last year ?? besides the removal of culling and masteries.

Instead they wanna Add orbs back into wvw, again making the team with the better coverage/numbers even stronger, while the weaker gets weaker. They dont listen to there player base at all.

We the players r gonna need to adapt to the changes they do make to keep GVG alive, cause i really dont ever see Anet changing anytime soon. It really is sad that a game called “GUILD WARS” doesnt have GvG arenas in it
