@Kaaji
Just spec’d your build for sPVP. So awesome. Thanks alot :P
Can i ask whether i should be using the staff or sword/pistol as my weapon?
i.e the majority of the time.
Sea Of Sorrows Commander
Hi,
I am looking for opinions regarding whether i should play a thief or a mesmer as my main. I am a big fan of sPVP and play it often; what makes the decision hard is that i’m relatively the same level at both professions in sPVP. Considering i have a level 40 for both professions and havent experienced the “end-game” PVE areas or WvW; which would be a better choice?
Thanks!
Sea Of Sorrows Commander
No Thanks. Mesmer’s would be rendered utterly useless in PvE. Considering they already have problems in tagging.
Sea Of Sorrows Commander
I got a level 40 mesmer at the moment which indeed takes a bit longer to level rather than my ranger (where his pet just tanked the mobs). Can i ask why is it that people say mesmer’s get better 40+? I’m going to main mesmer either way, i just don’t understand why they would get better since they have all their elite skills/ normal skills etc…by level 30.

Hi Thieves,
Would like to ask for tips regarding pvp. I used to play ranger/mesmer so i was used to spamming the “1” button from afar. I’ve noticed with the thief i have a hard time landing melee on the enemy and furthermore, i sort of recklessly spam HS and end up hitting random enemies which i didn’t actually intend on hitting.
Also, is it correct for me to rarely use my ranged weapons?
Thanks !

Hi Guys,
I really want to play a ranger; it’s pretty much why i bought the game. However, due to all the forum talk and ingame talk regarding the “underpowered” / “bugged nature” of the profession, i decided to roll a mesmer till lvl 35 only to find i don’t actually enjoy the mechanics.
I want to know if the profession is viable; preferably in sPVP as that’s what i enjoy most. I also enjoy WvW and PvE/Events and perhaps dungeons but i havent had a chance to try them yet.

Hi Guys,
I was just wondering if there were any good looking medium armor which i can buy in the TP before i get dungeon sets at lvl 80 or etc..
Would be nice to get some opinions! Thanks.
P.S obviously it’s subjective but i wanna see some options
Sea Of Sorrows Commander
Can i ask why you jump across so many maps and don’t complete just the one map instead (for map completion award)
Is it faster this way? Would like your opinion
Sea Of Sorrows Commander
Hi Guys,
I was wondering when i was playing spvp the other day; i experienced multiple times where i would be HS’d but i couldn’t see them and suddenly they appear out of stealth.
My question is if the stealth on thieves still apply even when attacking? I thought they would only stealth whilst not-attacking.
Would like to know if it’s this or if it’s just lag or something …
Thanks.
Sea Of Sorrows Commander
Yeah Yeah Yeah. “Player skill” is priority. If this was true; why is spvp filled with mesmers, warriors and thieves? Why is it that i don’t see any rangers anymore? Cause Anet went and nerfed there already underpowered bottoms! That’s why.
Eles, Rangers and Necros are underpowered. Not by a significant amount, but it is evident. All other classes are pretty balanced.
Sea Of Sorrows Commander
Disappointed. Ranger is the ONLY class i actually enjoy and Anet has gone and made it unviable. Now i’m stuck trying to figure another class and just cannot match the awesome mechanics of the ranger. Honestly, you’d think after such a large proportion of the community complaining about these nerfs, they would fix it or at least attempt to :/
Sea Of Sorrows Commander
Hi Guys,
Was wondering if i had a set of medium armor bought with tokens (soulbound) from a dungeon; if it was possible to transfer this to another character to wear (which can also use medium armor) through the bank on the same account.
Thanks
Sea Of Sorrows Commander
Yes! Thanks alot man
Sea Of Sorrows Commander
Hi guys,
So i’ve seen a bunch of level 80’s in lion’s arch/frostgorge sound with black armor with fire coming out the eyes, chest etc…
Would be helpful if you could identify this and tell me what level i need to be to get it and what i need to do to obtain it.
Thanks!

Hi, i nearing 80 on my ranger and plan to make an alt for more pvp-related activities rather than dungeons, events, PVE etc. So through some research i’ve noticed mesmers and thieves have been considered a little advantaged in PVP; whether it be their lack of bugs and overpowered damage, im not sure. But i also noticed there was some recent nerfs and was wondering what profession would now be considered the easiest to successfully 1v1 (preferably in sPVP).
P.S i haven’t pvp’d much at all so this is all new to me :S
Thanks!

Hi, i was wondering if someone could tell me a brief overview of the story that happened in the original Guild Wars game. Cause at the moment i’m sort of left wondering what exactly happened to Destiny’s Edge and why they are all ‘separated’ at the moment.
Thanks!
Sea Of Sorrows Commander
Could i know your experience in reaching level 80? As in approximately how long it took you and perhaps what can make leveling a bit easier. I find myself under-leveled for my story instances by about ~3 levels every time

You can have as many pets as you want but can only equip two at a time. This is a guide i found that really helped me in finding the location of all the pets and which ones are best for situational scenarios.

Whilst i do feel the shortage/lack of skill customization is a thorough ‘let-down’, i believe other areas (pretty much all of it) make up for this flaw in the game. The content of GW2 is simply amazing both PVE and PVP. Furthermore, i’m sure Anet would have thought of the skill system and implemented it for a good reason.
Sea Of Sorrows Commander
Hi, i’m new to GW2 and have only just discovered ‘the mists’ which is absolutely awesome! But i just wanted to ask (since i have a lvl 30 at the moment) what’s the point of leveling your character if you have access to all the benefits of lvl 80 in the pvp zones?
Is it just for people who want to enjoy the storyline?
Stupid question but yeah…:D

Hi,
I just wanted the community’s opinion regarding the potential of the ranger, engineer or guardian in 1v1 situations. I feel as though i want to play one of these, however I’ve heard a lot about mesmers and thieves being a bit ‘overpowered’ at the moment. Since i’ve never pvp’d before, it would be nice to know the extent of the advantage the mesmers/theives have over other classes. As in if they are outrageously overpowered and will win regardless or skill or if they are only slightly overpowered (if at all).
Sea Of Sorrows Commander
Thanks Mongo. That was really helpful!
So sad though; i was initially very interested in the elementalist till i heard so many ‘underpowered’ claims about them :/

Hi,
I’m relatively new to the game and have just tested all 8 professions a little, however, i still can’t decide.
I was wondering what professions in your opinion are highly demanded in spvp at the moment and perhaps a “glass-cannon” class which is what i usually prefer in most mmo’s.
P.S i was thinking out of Thief, Mesmer, Ranger, Guardian.
Thanks in advance

Hi guys,
Really sorry to ask such a simple question, however, i can’t find anything on skill slot “builds” on the internet.
Anyways, i’m completely new to guild wars and am not quite sure what i do with skill slots, do i simply choose the one i want? It would be helpful if there were some guides out there. If any of you have links to guides/builds it would be really helpful ^^ (preferably on either a necro, thief or warrior).
Thanks in advance.
