TL;DR version: Warriors are powerful when using HB on mobs that don’t move.
But in all seriousness, I really missed how Wars were in GW1. They should’ve had stances as the mechanic rather than burst. Something like; F1; You deal x% more damage, but take x% more damage while in this stance. F2; You deal x% less damage, but take x% less damage while in this stance. Only one stance can be active at a time.

Unless they actually improve the loot this is rather useless.
I was in the middle of purchasing exotic leggings, and kept getting an error. I log out, then back in to see the server log in error. Now I just logged in to find I’m missing gold and I don’t have the leggings either…
After playing FF11 and WoW, sub fees aren’t worth it IMO. Forking out $15 a month in the hopes that the content being developed is relevant to my interests is a huge gamble. I don’t care about The Living Story crap, and will never do it, but I don’t feel bad because I didn’t pay for it.
If developers feel their MMO needs a sub, then things like character name changes, server transfers, expansions, and any other services should be included in that fee. Even then I still probably wouldn’t pay.

GW1 mobs were far more fun and engaging to fight IMO, especially WiK/WoC mobs. Anet was so focused on improving the MMO genre yet they forgot/ignored the one major area that really needs help; mob design.
You know what I miss about the GW1 Warrior? Stance dancing. Alternating between Frenzy and Rush was a fun and rewarding experience. Instead we a get a kittenty burst mechanic…
I’d love an MMO with challenging content, but the problem is that mobs are only ‘challenging’ because they’re stat buffed and have crap like cheap one-shot mechanics. That, to me, isn’t fun, exciting nor certainly challenging. I know I’m not alone though as I see more and more MMO players making the same complaints. If a developer wants their game to be truly challenging, then they’ll have to spend the time and money needed to create proper A.I. And while I expect something like a large dragon to have a good amount of health and armor, if that’s the only reason they’re ‘challenging’ then I think I’ll pass.
But maybe I’m asking for too much.
There isn’t a craftable exotic version of Soldier’s gear IIRC, so this is the next best thing.
The problem with Warriors is that they were designed to rely on high armor and health to sustain them, but that doesn’t matter when compared to defensive options such as blocks, blinds, protection, etc.
Guardians and Thieves have better sustain than Wars do even though they have nearly half the health (and less armor in the Thief’s case) which further highlights the design flaw of the Warrior. I’d gladly sacrifice some of my offensive power and even a few thousand HP to have some of that sustain.
I’d suggest that Warriors have greatly improved sustain, but only when attacking. Someone mentioned a trait that could be similar (NOTE: I said similar) to the prenerfed Omnomberry Pies, or even a way to give ourselves the Protection Boon would help out a lot.
Mentioning Hundred Blades. The skill is great. In PvE. Against mobs that are too dumb to move. The ideal thing to do is improve mob A.I, but that’s not going to happen. Nerfing the damage may kill the viability of greatsword in PvP. I don’t know…

Use Omnomberry Pies. It does a much better job of healing you and doesn’t gimp your dps like healing gear would.
Warriors are good in PvE, and from what I hear, average in WvW and pretty poor in PvP. Warriors survive with high armor and health, but that means absolutely dick when fighting mobs with insane damage. Damage avoidance/mitigation is far more important, and Warriors don’t come close to Thieves or Guardians in that department. Still think Warriors are OP now?
Overall I’d have to say that GW2 is a disappointment compared to GW1. Anet Changed way too much and left out most of the good things the original game had: skill system, attribute system, builds not being so reliant on gear (unless for farming), no WP fees, no armor repairs, and a bunch of other things. Instead of building off of what made GW1 so great, it seems like they tried too hard to be another ‘me too’ MMO. Before GW2 released I used to laugh at people who basically wanted GW 1.5 rather than a new game. I’m not laughing now.
I played GW1 for 7 years. I don’t thinking I’ll be playing GW2 in 7 months.

It would be nice if some of our skills and or traits granted us the Protection Boon. That would go a long way.
