Props to the Mag’s players who stayed and fought on Mag BL in oceanic hrs last night, I think the guild tags were VR, PYRO and a few others. Good use of defensive siege, good movement around the map. Congrats on wiping our first push on NE tower.

I was the annoying death from above warrior at NW tower, I could feel your guys raging at me form the other side of the interwebs, outnumbered buff is the best thing ever now, death from above, stomp, fear me, die and no repair bill, rinse and repeat it was lots of fun. VR has a small Aussie/NZ crew that we love alot, they have a tough job. /salute to commander Fabbz and his gang.

Me too!! I tried to get other warriors in on the fun but the 1 or 2 warriors that where in the BL where running some kitten kitten builds and couldn’t trait it. =( How do you play warrior without death from above and warrior’s sprint? I couldnt do it.

This challenge is good until friday afternoon noon PST. I doubt 20g would even pay for the golems/repair bills to get it done but it’s an interesting challenge since that objective has been relatively untouched all week.

Maguuma player here, one of the best weeks EVER was dodging the Agg guild and a 6-hour brawl in Maguuma garrison with SoS breaking through the north gates and Yaks Bend pounding on the watergate at the same time and wiping in the on the lord more than once. That battle was kittening epic. Love fighting SoS 3.0 See you guys soon ;-)

You have fought against us and found us worthy opponents, now fight with us as our allies, be a part of the most stable server community in North America and test your skill. Speaking as a player that arrived 7 weeks after launch I can say moving to Maguuma was the best choice I have made in the game so far, there is something here for everyone, roaming, small group, strong GvG and standard WvW are all alive and healthy on Maguuma. We have 10-30 players from NA that have off hours and play with our Aussie commander, he is accustomed to fighting outnumbered and very creative, so any Oceanics that came here would without a doubt have full support of our NA players. Que times are minimal, we have enough NA primetime to put up a hell of a fight on 1, 2 or sometimes 3 maps. Public voice comms are active and provide us with great response times and private channels for roamers, small groups and GvG. I fell in love with Maguuma the first 5 minutes I was here and will never leave, many of you will too.

I doesnt matter what Anet wants, it’s what the players want, Maguuma would be dead and very boring if it werent for our GvGers, roamers and small group havoc squads, I’m sure there are many other servers like this. I prefer to roam and defend, when I roam I do not want an advantage over other players, if there is a stat buff I need to have the ability to “decline” the buff, if I’m defending against a roach colony I cant say I would decline the buff then but I dont think it would be incredibly helpful so w/e NO STAT BONUSES PLEASE!!

I was referring to your midday presence, you probably are not running too many Oceanics at noon PST.

No I’ve seen this in your previous matches and wondered if you had a token EU presence or some guild full of unemployed people.

Yes we had a fairly healthy EU pop and now BURN brought friends for them when they transferred a few weeks ago, I also think we have some work-at-home people, unemployed and college students who play on days they have a light class schedule.

This is simply not true, ME prefers open field but we have many other guilds that will not hesitate to engage open-field DRP and PYRO are the first in my mind. The big question for me, and I imagine others have thought about this is how would these guilds do AGAINST each other. We will never find out because they are loyal to Maguuma to the bitter end.

Although many of us are a bit burnt out from losing our upgrades daily in these matchups and getting trampled by 30vs1 zergblobs I think we proved here this morning that we can still make the ground shake. It was fun to combine all of our forces and go see how many holes we can blow in DB’s stuff. More good fights coming, they are coming very soon.

Behold the terrible price of getting greedy and trying to cap and hold Maguuma’s entire borderland, the culling will continue into the week. I have 125 omegas to donate to make sure of it.

Some of us were just waiting around in TCBL for the EB queue to pop when I saw the orange swords and noticed we had the outmanned buff at the time. I said on TS that we were going to lose Garrison since if you leave EB you have to wait like 30 minutes to get back in. Did end up getting enough militia in to help stop y’all at Hills…was close though :o

Yes that was a good fight, alot of people ignored the order to push over the bridge and it cost us we’ll get that keep before midnight though, our organized guilds are starting to come out.

Mmmhm hmmm look at all of those fortified TC structures falling before the might of the Xushin-lead Maguuma militia, we can keep this up all week. SoS keep your eyes open for good opportunities and hang in there.

We held onto our borderlands, and after 8 hours of more map bouncing/loot collecting then I can count, we flipped a waypointed SM and Kains’ keep in EBG whilst they looked the wrong way.

So if that’s an indication of the rest of the week, my liver may yet survive.

They still have some outgoing transfers.. it could still balance out. I wish Maguuma could just catch a break and get like one decent Oceanic or SEA guild.

Us too bud, us too, we know an Oceanic/SEA guild would be exceedingly happy here, plenty of people to fight and possibly the most stable community in GW2 in terms of NOT losing ground due to guild transfers… Yet we remain the stepchild and oceanics dont even consider Maguuma.

As someone is plays a glam exclusively in wvw I have to admit it probably did need a nerf but 50% is too extreme. It pretty much forces us to play other builds, way to narrow our choices down Anet… GW2 already doesnt have the depth of builds that GW1 did and now they are taking more viable builds away from us,,, not that big of a surprise, they nerfed constantly in GW1.

I came to Maguuma from Northern Shiverpeaks after a series of several “Guild X left so we’re getting pooped on in wvw” events that started there a mere 6 days after release of the game. Looking at Maguuma’s community I can make this one statement, Maguuma can get things done without having to rely too heavily on any one guild therefore we are as close immune to the “Guild X left so we’re getting pooped on in wvw” issue as any server will ever get. Yes our guilds are valuable and do amazing things on their own but our big guilds have come and (SFD and GOON to name a couple of our founding guilds), made their contribution, many of their members have moved on and we’re still fine as a server. Are we brutal on the forums? Hell yes!! Are you nice to your enemies? You will not find a more mature, stable and fun community in which to play this game that we all love so much. Oceanics, be a rock star, be a dwarf, hell be a dwarf rockstar, come to Maguuma and you WILL NOT regret it, just ask many of the people who have transferred here and stayed, ask the guys like WaR, ME, SM. When you get here the first day rally to commander Bony Charrk and be prepared to learn and have fun.

Come fight with Bony, the man is a true Dwarf, he eats Iron Ingots and pewps out ballistae. It’s not really an Aussie accent it’s a dwarven one!

You may be correct since we dont seem to be able to get out of T4, I can say this, they need to have some a long way, I hope and believe that Mag and Yaks will be an even matchup with NNK/dragonbrand giving us good fights as always at night but Yaks needs to have come a long way since we last met them, ( =) we were Blue last time we fought them )

Good Luck with this, the voice com thing and insisting that your players get on in order to know what is going on will be huge for your response times. Whatever happens dont get discouraged, change will not happen overnight. I truly wish it was possible for others to come and share knowledge with you, things like open-field combat, communication, siege/counter siege, sabotage,,,etc getting new ideas about this stuff would make you all so much more effective. Here’s hoping you have a nasty surprise in store for SF soon, make their life interesting I think they need it. ;-)

Maguuma has been going overboard with golems, and I am not a fan of it. But I haven’t seen us act as silly as SBI does with their golems. Their attempt at east keep yesterday morning was completely wasteful. “Golems, go! Did we get through the gate? There’s five arrow carts behind it and they’re repairing? Throw more golems? How about now? No? Throw the same amount of golems plus more. Now? MORE golems!”

You mean the same way that CD oceanic prime time outnumbers Maguuma’s? And when we tried to state that as a point when they vastly outnumbered us, we told to “play better” by CD. Can’t say that I I’m not sippin’ on my revenge wine right now.

I hate the oceanic presence. It keeps us in a tier we don’t belong in.

Be happy with what you guys have, our night crew gets pooped on by NNK and their oceanics every time we go to T3 and to be honest it wouldnt take a tremendous number more players for us to defend against them, you have something we dont have and it doesnt look like we will ever have since free transfers are over.
